Premiere elements 9 exporting cuts off certain scenes

Whenever I export a video from premeiere elements 9, any scene in which I used a green screen key gets messed up and cut of at the bottom. I have a project due in a day. How can I fix this?

Thanks for the follow up information.
Before we advance on the cropping details and considerations, let us rule in or out the set up of the project as well as the export choices and settings as causes of the problems.
If you have video 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9, then the project preset should be (assuming NTSC setup)
NTSC
AVCHD
HD1080i30
Now, when you go to export your edited Timeline content, if we go for a H.264.mov export
Share/Computer/QuickTime with Presets = NTSC DV 16:9
Click on the Advanced Button there.
Under the Advanced Button/Video Tab, set according to the screenshot for Video Tab....
Some of the export settings in the screenshot got cut off in the screen capture. The essential ones are the ones you see (for now).
The BItrate which is further down (not seen here) is left with no check mark before "Limit Data Rate To...". We will work on that later if file size becoms an issue. The main purpose of the above is to see if we can get a good video just with attention to project setup and export settings.
We will be watching for your results.
If any questions or need clarification on any of this, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks.

  • Can I cut off best scene from movie as Picture?

I would like to cut off best scene from movie as picture.
    How?
Do I need to get special software?
    Please help!!

First, get an app called MPEG Streamclip, which is free. (google MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5)
    Open MPEG Streamclip.
In iMovie, select the clip you need. Then, right-click/Reveal in Finder.
Drag this clip from the Finder into MPEG Streamclip
In MPEG Streamclip, move the playhead to the frame you want.
In MPEG Streamclip, click FILE/EXPORT FRAME.
Choose JPEG, TIFF, or PNG and give it a name.
You can then drag this photo into iPhoto.

  • 480p24 and Premiere Elements Export to Tape

If you have a miniDV camcorder that has an option to record 480p24, you can capture firewire it into Premiere Elements 7, using the project preset = NTSC DV Standard in New Project dialog. And, it is well known that in this DV Capture, the capture will result in interlaced video at 30 frames per second, even if your miniDV camcorder’s footage is progressive. In the process, a pulldown is applied wherein the 24 progressive frames per second is changed to 30 interlaced frames per second.
You edit your video on the Timeline. After you finish editing, I do not see that you have an opportunity to remove the pulldown in Premiere Elements to revert from 480i30 to 480p24. So, export would be the usual routes for 480i in Premiere Elements, I would think.
Now, here comes my question. What if you decide to export that Timeline back to the camcorder set at 480p24 using Premiere Elements' Export to Tape? Would the pulldown be removed and would you end up with 480p24 on the camcorder’s tape? I think not, but I am not sure. I suspect that the Export to Tape might not work at all, if the project preset is set at 480i30 and the camcorder at 480p24. Do not know.
The bits and pieces of information that I have accumulated are:
There are two varieties, 24p and 24p Advanced
24p was not intended for the pulldown to be removed
24p Advanced was intended for the pulldown to be removed
In this regard, it looks like Premiere Pro can handle the pulldown.
But, I was wondering if Premiere Elements' Export to Tape had any hidden merits in this regard.
Any comments would be appreciated since I do not have the necessary tools to try it myself.

Thanks for responding. I was thinking in terms of a camcorder like the Panasonic miniDV AG DVX100 and some other camcorders from Panasonic that shoot 480p24. I ran across this online and got curious about the topic and wanted to learn more.
A Steve Mullen article on "Progressive: What You Need to Know" got me started in this direction, and I wondered just how far, if at all, you could drag the Premiere Elements' Export to Tape into this. I am a "dedicated" Premiere Elements person who will probably never defect to Premiere Pro which I suspect would be the better choice of programs for 24p.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 Cutting off video in export?

Ok when I view my sequence in the output monitor I enjoy how it looks. I export and unfortunately, parts of my video are cut off. I see that there are the safe video guides but is there a way to export the whole view. Because that means I would have to resize all of my clips that I imported. P.S. Output is set to 720 X 480 and imported clips are the same. But they still get cut off

Sure I'm hoping that there is a swith or drop down somewhere. I didn't know how hard it would be to export beyond the safe guard bounds lol

  • Exporting cuts off last two frames of project

For the last while now, Premiere CS6 and Media Encoder continue to cut off the last two frames of any project I export. It doesn't matter what export formats I choose, it always happens. My short term solution has been to extend the project by two frames but sometimes that doesn't even work. Anyone else have this issue? It's really becoming a bother. And yes, I've checked to make sure the entire project is selected in the export and media encoder windows.
    Thanks

  • Premiere Pro CC Cutting off frames and shifting audio from .MOV

Hi everyone! I recently converted from Premiere Pro CS6 to CC. I've noticed an incredibly frustrating problem that I can't diagnose. In CS6 my Quicktime files would come in just fine, with correct audio lining up. However in Premiere Pro CC, the first two frames are cut off and the audio is shifted forward.
I only have one machine: a 2009 MacPro, with the only main upgrade being a Nvidia 680.
Here are the two files in question if anyone wants to see what I am running into:
    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1xaez5axno7ntq5/AADUybHCiJsGMgj-ZpqMGFvga?dl=0
These files are coming out of our 3D software, Blender. Yes they're half 1920x1080 - they are preview renders and not final.

  • Export Cuts Off (Incomplete)

    Hi,
I have some .caf files and I'm trying to convert to MP3. I did some search to self-educate, and I know .caf is same as aiff (just different extension). With that said, QuickTime can export both files and convert them to wave, au, or aiff. The problem is, no matter what format I use, the end-product comes out shorter. It's a person reading a sentence (only 2-3 seconds or so), but it gets cut off before the sentence can finish.
Does anyone know any solutions to this? Or, other more reliable way to convert them? Currently, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Thank you.

T> I purchased the full version already. Does this mean it's not being recognized. I've used it before and it worked fine. <
So you purchased it, we get that. But that doesn't mean you entered the serial number data correctly or didn't throw away your registration file by some silly mistake.
30 seconds is the limit on the demo version.
You obviously have the demo version enabled. Reinitialize the purchase registration. Hope you didn't throw away your receipt.

  • Premiere Elements is cutting large video imports

When I try to import a large gopro file it cuts it down to the first minute. I was hoping to get the highest quality file imported into Adobe. I can get around this by reducing the quality of the file and shortening the length in gopro studio but why am I having to use to separate programs?

    123
There are several problems here, two of which are frame size and frame rate.
Next in line is your report that your import duration is less than the pre-import duration of the original.
You say that your camera is set to record 1920 x 1080 @ 48 progressive frames per second. But according
to your screenshot, the frame size is 1920 x 1440 @ 47.95. This is an atypical format for the Premiere Elements project presets.
And Premiere Elements does not have a 47.95 or 48 frames per second.frame rate.
So, if you drag and drop or use Add Media/Files and Folders, the project is going to give you automatically a 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames
per second project preset, and your footage in the Edit area monitor is going to look like
How do you account for the fact that you are shooting 1920 x 1080 @ 48 progressive frames per second and your
import properties within the project are showing 1920 x 1440 @ 47.95 progressive frames per second. My focus here
is on the frame size right now. From what I have read, your camera can record 1920 x 1440 @ 48 progressive frames per second.
The Properties screenshot, presumed from the program read of the file's properties, shows a duration of 8 minutes 32 seconds and
22 frames. What is the total duration of the file before import? Around 13 minutes?
For troubleshooting purposes, If you record at 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 progressive frames per second, do you run into these frame size and frame rate and duration issues?
Let us further see how the program is interpreting your video. Please right click the thumbnail of the file in Expert workspace Project Assets
and select Interpret Footage. In the Interpret Footage dialog, what is listed in the Frame Rate section for frame rate of original file. And, in
the Pixel Aspect Ratio of the dialog, what is shown, Square Pixels (1.0) or something else?
I will see if I can find some GoPro Black 3 1920 x 1440 @ 48 progressive frames per second footage with which to work in Premiere Elements.
There are a lot of details to sort through. Looking forward to your help in getting at the whys so that you can move forward with your
    projects.
    Thanks.

  • Premiere Elements 9 Disc Menu (main/scene)

I customize an existing template Disc menu (Pan and Zoom) by bringing in my own photo for both main and scene menu.  On the preview I can see the images and they are correct for both main and scene.  However after I burn a DVD, what appears on the DVD disc is the template not the customized graphic that I imported.  Why is Premiere not keeping the changes, although in "preview" mode it shows me the photos that I uploaded not the templated graphics?

I just did an 18 minute project using  NTSC AVCHD Full HD1080i30 as a
preset.  Although in past I have used Kids/Nightime Story without realizing
that it is not HD, this time I selected Entertainment/Broadway which is.  At
first I tried using a video clip for a background but changed to a frame
capture.  In either case the results were the same as you can see in the
att.  I then burned AVCHD using 1920x1080i NTSC and when played on my
standalone equipment the results were the same as in the att. with poor
resolution in the menu.  I did no more editing in the menu that change
button colour as I was only out to address the resolution issue.  In fact I
got sound in the menu which obviously came from the video clip I tried and
could have been edited out.  I've not gone through all the templates but few
offer any customization and even the one I used had curtains in the scene
menu.  In fact I just tried Kids/Nightime Story again and as you can see the
resolution is as good as the HD one and in this case the scene menu allows
    complete background change.
As you suggest (b) my problems stem from customization which I always did in
Pin. Studio and my answer to b. would be yes subject to HD resolution in
    menus.

    To Bob:
The videos you are using are definitely 1440x1080. I say this because the
menu are designed for videos of that resolution. For all other resolutions
there is a resize that needs to be done and that is the reason the quality
reduces (drastically). This is an issue we are aware of and will look into
    for the future versions.
    Hi Bob
As I told you earlier , there are three resolutions available for each menu.
Two for Standard definition, and one for HD .
HD menus are designed for 1440x1080 . and SD menus are designed for 720X480
    4:3 and 16:9 .
When you used 720p clips, loss of quality was evident because resizing was
    taking place.
But with 1080i, the loss wasn't there as told by you.
Because images or videos can be resized from large resolution to smaller
    resolution without loss in quality.
Resizing from small resolution to large resolution will result in loss of
    quality.
The engineering team are aware of the limitation with menu and are working
    on it Bob.

  • Premiere Element 7 - Titles and Certain Clips Offline?

    Hey guys,
So I'm using Pr Elements 7 and I had this problem start a few days ago. Everything was fine, then I opened the project I had been working on and it says all of my titles are offline, like the ones you make in the program. I've never had that happen before. I try restarting to see if that fixes it, and the only thing it does is make some of my clips say they're offline too. Now I've had the "media offline" red screen before when I move something and PrE can't find it, but this isn't what's happening. Nothing has been moved and in the edit panel that lists all of the clips and titles, nothing is actually showing up with a red screen as it's picture. Usually when it goes offline, I click on the clip and a window pops up asking me where it's moved, but when I click on a clip it just opens it up in the playback window like nothing is wrong. I can drag and drop the clip from there into the timeline and it works fine, but the existing clips in the timeline still say that it's offline.
I tried to just replace them with the original clips, but when I save, close, and reopen, it goes back to saying it's offline again.
I'm hoping someone else has encountered this problem and can give me a quick and easy solution. Like I said, I've never had this kind of problem with it before. I've been using PrE with this computer and these settings for ages. I didn't do or install anything different that might have caused the problem. It was like a 24 hour window. I've tried reinstalling cause that usually fixes everything, but didn't work. Help!
    Please and thanks,
    Liz

Read the article, I'm 100% sure I haven't moved any of the files. It never pops up and asks me where a file is located, and I can still play the file from the side panel. I can also drag it from there into the timeline and it works fine. It's just some of the existing clips in the timeline that are showing up offline.
As for exporting, if you mean have I exported like the video as a whole including the titles as in saving a copy of the video to my desktop, yes I have, multiple times. But I've done that before in both this project and others and it hasn't effected anything. And if you mean something else by "exporting", then no I don't think I've done that because I haven't done anything I don't normally do when working on a project.
I also opened another project I'd been working on, added some titles, closed it, then reopened it, and those titles and all of the media show up fine. So I'm thinking it's just this one project. And normally I would just start over, but I've put a lot of work into this particular project and really would rather not have to start over.
I'd also like to note I am no expert with computers so you might have to dumb things down for me a bit, sorry.

  • Exporting cut off?!!

When i export footage to .wmv and go back and watch it, it gets cut at the 23 second mark every time, this is extremley frutrating. i also would like to know how to set your timeline for 24fps, as well as export in 24fps. thanks guys

are you using a demo from flip for mac.demo version has 30 sec limit.
for 24 frame set up your sequence that way. look in easy setups to see if there is one already made or get close to what you want capture etc highlight the sequence and adjust the settings accordingly. make sure the same frame rate is in capture as well as sequence. when you shoot if your in dv you'll have to do 24PA to be able to remove pulldown the edit. lots of posts on how to 24PA

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. We are all visitors here.
Just a bit of history....back in the days of Premiere Elements 4, you could set a "poster frame" in what was called the Project area. You did this by right clicking a blank area there and, from the drop down menu that appeared, selecting View/Preview Area, and using the poster frame feature there.
As I said, when a video imports into Premiere Elements, the thumbnail of the import has been presenting as the first frame of the video. With this Preview area "poster frame" option, you could set the video's thumbnail in the Project area so that the first frame was another frame in the video. But, this "perk" was restricted to thumbnails of the video in Project area.
If you exported to file with the first frame modified video, the export's thumbnail in Windows Explorer would present with other than the real first frame or the poster frame as the first frame.
Also, in more recent versions, I have observed that the export to file does not display the real first frame of the video in Windows Explorer. Seems random, but I have not kept track.
And, remember, at the onset I wrote
As far as I have ever seen, Premiere Elements Windows uses the first frame of the video for its thumbnail in the program.
I know of no way within Premiere Elements to control what the program opts to do in this matter. In some compatibility
issues, it opts to give no image but a generic one.
I did not say that you can expect to have the Premiere Elements' export file's thumbnail in Windows displaying with its real first frame. And, the more you get into this, depending on the versions, more details need to be added to my comment about "...first frame of video for its thumbnail in the program..."
I would have to look into all this further to get perspective on the contributing factors.
    ATR
Add On...The Poster Frame feature appeared in versions 4, 7, 8, and 9 by my count.

  • Export to WMV cuts off - I have no dissolves

I see there's been problems exporting to WMVs and having the export cut off at a dissolve...but I don't have any dissolves. A co-worker has the same problem. We're both running FCP 7.0.2.
    What could be the problem?
    Lisa

Flip4Mac installs windows media components onto your Mac.
The free version installs the playback components, as well as a 'teaser' version of the encoder. It will encode, just not your whole file. It is installing components, so it works across the Mac platform.
Once you upgrade to one of the paid versions, you can encode entire files.
Your free version is cutting the encode short, not the playback.
I would suggest stepping up to the StudioHD version, you get much higher quality and much greater control of your exports.
