Prevent Rounding after time calculation

HI BI Gurus,
I am doing a calcuation to know the exact number of hours ( with decimal values ) between two dates. But system is automatically rounding the output like below examples.
if difference is 2 hours and more than 30 mins, o/p is 3 hours,
if difference is 2 hours and less than 30 mins, o/p is 2 hours,
my requirement is if it is 2hours and 40 mins,
o/p shud be =  2hrs + ( 40 / 60 ) hrs. i.e... 2.66 hrs.
Please help me how to prevent the rounding with a abap code.
Thanks in advance and points assured....
Raghu

if you are using TIMS info object, you need to set the number of decimal places to 2 or 3.

    I guess this may be a feature request. Adobe may think this is a good message for every new eBook.
    I sure would like to decide about that myself.
    Thanks in advance if this will be changed.

    Decided to setup the mail for exchange on my N8 so I could see my work emails. Worked like a charm but after a couple of hours decided I didn't like being that contactable so deleted the mailbox.
    Now to the problem, during setup I was forced to enable the phone lock and had to pick a 7 digit alphanumeric code. Fair enough I thought and went ahead. When I removed the mailbox however the lock remained in place with the default auto time of 30 minutes. When I checked in Phone management there is no option to disable this lock so I thought I could at least change the default time to something bigger but when you try, it remains at 30 mins. You also can't disable the auto time as it pops up an error message saying can't unlock phone.
    Does anyone know if I'm missing something obvious here or is this something which can't be disabled once it's switched on? I've done a soft reset back to factory settings with no luck and the only other thing I can think of is re installing the firmware which seems a bit extreme.
    Would like to hope there is some way to have control over this. Can someone help?
    Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
    My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
    You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.
    Hope this can help you.

  • Calculating Round Trip Time from Non-Spatial Log Data

    Hi,
    I have a log table which holds the vehicles' "entrance" an "exit" dates (dd.mm.yyyy) to/from regions like that:
    VEHICLE_ID REGION IN_TIME OUT_TIME
    1001 CUST_A 01.01.2007 03.01.2007
    1001 CUST_B 05.01.2007 06.01.2007
    1002 CUST_C 04.01.2007 06.01.2007
    1001 BASE_A 08.01.2007 11.01.2007
    1002 CUST_D 11.01.2007 12.01.2007
    1001 CUST_A 15.01.2007 15.01.2007
    1001 CUST_F 18.01.2007 19.01.2007
    1001 CUST_A 19.01.2007 20.01.2007
    1002 CUST_E 16.01.2007 19.01.2007
    in fact, this table was created for reporting "average wait time on each customer" but then i calculated "round trip time" by assigning "base region" ( vehicle round trip starts from "base region" then comes back to here, etc.. ) and creating some rules like "if it passes from CUST_A and CUST_D, it is 'ROUND TRIP A'"..
    vehicles' voyage report is like that :
    TRIP STARTDATE ENDDATE
    TRIP_A 01.01.2007 13.01.2007
    UNDEFINED 13.01.2007 16.01.2007
    TRIP_B 16.01.2007 02.01.2007
    now, trips are more complicated and i want to use spatial mechanism. any advise?
    thanks,
    Cihan.

    Thanks Steve,
    That makes Sense, as post authentication the phone to phone would be ofcourse less than 150ms when the traffic is locally switched.
    But I dont understand why the recommendation in the D&D guide "Roundtrip latency must not exceed 300 milliseconds  (ms) for data and 100 ms for voice and data between the access point  and the controller"
    I think it is applicable if the traffic is centrally switched?? or is there more to it, for roaming perhaps?

  • Is there a way to put system to sleep after Time Machine runs?

    I don't need to run Time Machine every hour, especially since my TM disk is on Firewire and not built in (had a disk fail with TM volume on same disk - bad idea)
    When TM runs, it has to spin up the Firewire external disk, so I just run TM by hand now. I'd like to do this when I go to dinner or to sleep etc
    Is there a way to have the Mac system sleep after Time Machine finishes running?  An AppleScript perhaps?
    thanks

    Nope, there is an error message and TM does not automatically run when the drive comes back online.
    What is the error message?
    I have not seen one, and that is exactly how I use TM. Unmount, turn off the drive. Turn on the drive, the backup volume mounts automatically and TM resumes its scheduled backups.
    Your Console logs will reveal the times in which TM attempted to back up but could not find the device:
    Dec 21 10:23:04 Johns-iMac.local com.apple.backupd[1216]: Starting automatic backup

    The last entry will repeat every hour, until it finds the TM device. Its normally scheduled activity will resume when it does.

  • How is Processing time calculated in Simulation

    Hi,
    How is processing time calculated for every simulation-relevant object?
    say for example,
    i have 2 objects of person type (p1 and p1)
    4 human tasks (T1, T2, T3, T4)
    T1 assigned to p1, processing time 2hrs
    T2 assigned to p1, processing time 2hrs
    T3 assigned to p2, processing time 2hrs
    T4 assigned to p2, processing time 2hrs
    start --> T1(p1) --> T2(p1) --> T3(p2) --> T4(p2) --> end
    Have not set any other simualtion parameters. now,
    * Duration for simulation is set to 6hrs,
    T1, T2, and T3 are getting processes once, but start event is getting processed twice
    # Why is start event getting processed second time?
    # Will this take any processing time..
    * Duration for simulation set to 7hrs,
    start event and T1 gets processed 2 times, T2 and T3 once..
    and the total processing time becomes *8hrs*..
    # At wht point of time does the second processing of T1 start.
    # If it is not after after the completion of one full process cycle, in this case, why not the second processing start at the end # of 2nd hour, or 4th hour.
    Thanks,
    Vishnupriya

    Hi Vishnupriya,
    "Why is start event getting processed second time?"Can you check the "Frequency" attribute of your start event? There you can specify how often the process will be triggered.
    "At wht point of time does the second processing of T1 start."You should be able to check it in the Processes (det.). It provides an overview regarding the process instances started during the simulation run. Furthermore you can check the Events (det.) category.

  • Ess Leave  Request -Change in Time calculation without changing work schedu

    Hi All,
    We are implementing a ESS Leave Request in EP6 with backend HR ECC5.0.
    The time calculation is taken  from the Work schedule rule in
    HR backend which is 24*7.
    For example if the leave taken is for 2 days-systems calculates as 24*2=48 hrs
    but in actual the requirement is to calculate 2*8 =16 hrs without changing
    the Work Schedule in 2001 infotype in HR Backend.
    Can we do this change through
    1.Validation in portal itself
    2.Changing the RFC PT_ARQ_REQUEST_CHECK

    After upgrade to BI7,  when we run some of the reports we are getting a warning message as below -
    Warning Time calculation "Before Aggregation" is obsolete.
    Pls refer to the attachment.
    Any of our satyam colleagues encounter this warning, if so what was the solution you applied.
    Note : I found some notes in Forum like saying use ' Exception Aggregation' for the Before Aggregation.. etc etc., but my problem is in our project thre are many CKFs are there which are using 'Before Aggregation'.
    Please let me know if you have any other alternatives.
    Thanks !!!!!!!!!

    Hi,
    Try SAP notes 935903.
    Symptom

  • Slow Reports after adding calculated item

    Hi All,
       I am facing a slow response after adding few calculated items in a report. Is it a normal behavior of OBIEE in terms of adding calculated items?
    Anyone faced similar issue please comment.
    Thanks,
    Muhammad Waqas

    Hi Muhammad Waqas,
    Have you run the physical query that is generated by BI Server on Database? Once executed on database, compare the execution time with OBIEE execution times, with this you will get the answer.
    Depends on the amount of data and the type of calculation, it is normal behaviour to slow down the performance of the reports after adding calculated measures.
    Please mark it Helpful/Correct, if it is.

  • Time calculation anomaly

    On 11/04/2007 right after midnight calculation of time at midnight (00:00:00) since epoch gave me a value of 1194148800. The same calculation in the morning of 11/04/07 (I suspect it might have started after DST switch) showed 1194152400 -- 3600 higher. I am totally baffled by this. Why would elapsed seconds at midnight since epoch would be affected by DST? The following code sample shows what I was doing:
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <time.h>
    int main()
    time_t now = time(0);
    struct tm nyNow;
    if (localtime_r(&now, &nyNow) != 0)
    nyNow.tm_sec = 0;
    nyNow.tm_min = 0;
    nyNow.tm_hour = 0;
    time_t midnight = mktime(&nyNow);
    fprintf(stderr, "Midnight: %d\n", midnight);
    return 0;
    I'd like an explanation. Thanks. -- Rajiv

    Sure it can. You have asked for the epoch converted for two different times.
    Just as if I asked for midnight Eastern and midnight Central, they'd be off by an hour. You asked for midnight EST and midnight EDT. They are also off by an hour.
    The first time you asked for was 2007-11-03 0:0:0 EDT, the second time was 2007-11-03 0:0:0 EST. Now your particular location would not normally be using Eastern Standard Time for that particular midnight, but it is still a valid identifier, and it occured one hour later. So the epoch identifer you converted was 3600 higher.

  • How do I round a formcalc calculation result to round $.725 to show $.73

    I am not an expert with Livecyle ES and I am not a programmer. I found a time calculation and modified and created this form.
    The purpose of the form is for student time to be daily and totaled per week. The hours and minutes are converted to decimal
    and then multiplied by the rate of pay to get Week 1 Total and the same process is used for the Week 2 Total. The Week 1 rounded
    calcualtion added to the Week 2 rounded calculation give the student's total gross pay.
    Example:
    Student works 21.3 hours Week 1 @ 8.25/hr (calculator total) equals $175.725 (I want figure to round to $175.73)
    Student works 10.7 hours Week 2 @ 8.25/hr (calculator total) equals $88.275 (I want figure to round to $88.28)
    Student's total gross pay equals $264.01
    Payroll certificaiton shows 32 hours worked @ $8.25/hour with a gross pay of $264.01.
    I am trying to get the Week 1 Total Pay calculated figure to round properly.
    Everything I try rounds to $175.72.
    http://admissions.siuc.edu/pdfs/time_report.pdf
    Current settings are as follows:
    Under Object Tab:
    Field Tab
    Field: Numeric Field
    Pattern: Currently no patterns are set - I tried multiple patterns, but did not get the result I want
    Value Tab
    Type: Calculated - Read Only
    Binding Tab
    The Object is named: WK1TotalPay
    Data Binding (open, Save, Submit): Use name (WK1TotalPay)
    The Data Format: Float
    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    You should be able to get this using a pattern (eg without script).
    If you set a display pattern num{$z,zzz,zz9.99} it will round up to the second decimal place.
    The 'z' is a digit picture symbol which will display a number if it exists. The '9' is a digit picture symbol which will display '0' if there isn't a number.
    So if the calculation is 0, the field will display $0.00. If you are paying the students a cool million, then it will display $1,000,000.99.
    This display pattern will round up the third decimal place.
    Hope that helps,
    Niall

  • Ical after time change

    After this time change on Sunday, Mac set the time correctly and everything, but iCal shifted everything an hour back (i.e. an event for 8:30 is now scheduled for 7:30). I was able to fix it easily enough, but it was frustrating and wondering if there was anyway to prevent it next time. Also, since that Sunday, iSync deleted everything off of my phone's calendar and now won't sync at all. They could be unrelated, but it seems unlikely. Any advice?

    Hi
    I am having the same problem except I cannot fix it. All my appointments on my phone are the correct time but all my appointments on iCal are an hour earlier. I tried synching them using isync and it said it was changing over 5% of things in iCal but there is no difference .
    How do I sort this out as it is really annoying. is this an iCal bug?

    RTT is figured by the sender recording when it sends the ping request and subtracts that from the time when it gets the ping reply.  I.e. the delta is the RTT.
    Receivers might be slow to process a ping request, so the latency isn't always just network time, it often includes the receiver's processing latency.
    (NB: For Cisco's SLA "ping", the receiver immediately records when ping request is received and this usually allows the receiver's processing latency to be eliminated - providing a much more accurate network latency value.)
    If you send more than one ping, in a series, the min the is the best/least time, max is the worse/highest time, and avg is the average of the series.
    e.g.
    If you sent 3 pings and their times were 2,2,2, min/avg/max would be 2/2/2.
    If you sent 3 pings and their times were 3,1,2, min/avg/max would be 1/2/3.

  • Absence quota zero after Time Evaluation

    Dear friends,
    We are generating Absence quota automatically after Time evaluation. But CL/PL/SL leave quota generated is zero after TE.
    Even I am not able to edit Absence quota(IT2006) manually or through IT2013.
    Please guide me, what needs to be done.
    Regards,
    Nayak

    Hi Dracula,
    Thanks for your response. No am not able to simulate the situation, it happen just once in PRD server.
    I do agree that some one might have chaned the value. But if the quota is generated by time evaluation then you cannot changed the record directly in infotype (2006). Time evaluation generated quota can be changed on through infotype 2013.
    I do request all the expert please share your thoughts.  Please do let me know what could be the problem here.

  • IOS 5 Calendar app current time bar off after time switch

         Here is a issue I have recently noticed. Yesterday we had time fall back one hour. On my Macbook, Iphone 4, and Ipad2, the system time is showing correctly(the time in menu bar on the Mac, and in the top system bar on iOS). On my two Ios5 devices however, in the "Calendar" app, the little bar with the red dot (i refer to as the "current time bar") still shows one hour ahead. So for example the actual time in Los Angeles, CA right now is 3:19 PM but in the calendar app on both Ios devices it shows as 4:19 PM. Keep in mind that the system time is showing 3:19 PM on both of these devices. I logged into the http://www.icloud.com web site and it shows correctly. On my Mac book running MacOSX 10.7.2 everything shows up ok (both system time and iCals current time bar). I am connected to Wi-Fi and 3G. I do have time zone support enabled on all devices, but turning that off did not help anything and I don't see how that could be causing this. What is causing this? Is this a bug in iOS5? Please let me know if you are experiencing the same issue so we can have Apples developers fix this bug. Thanks have a nice afternoon.
    The issue:
    The "Current time bar" in iOS5 Calendar is showing up one hour ahead after time switch as of yesterday (11/5/2011 Los Angeles, CA)
    What I know:
    System time on Mac, Iphone and Ipad shows up as the right time
    Current time bar in iCal on MacOSX 10.7.2  shows right
    Current time bar in Calendar on icloud.com shows right
    Common posts:
    This post seems to be experiencing the same issue.

    I'm having the same issue... the time is right on my phone, however the time-bar is showing DST (one hour ahead). I've restarted the phone... checked my iCloud time zone, etc... even tried turning on/off the Time Zone support not only for the phone but also in the Calendar... nothing.
    So in the end, correct time but the time-bar is incorrect. I hope this is just a bug that needs fixing by Apple...
