Previews load slowly in Browser view

I'm noticing that when I view albums in the browser, the photos are not loaded initially - they just show up as grey outlined boxes:
They eventually fill in as they are loaded one by one, but very slowly:
Does anyone know how to get these previews to load so that I don't have to wait for them to load one by one? It makes finding a photo very difficult when you are looking through a lot of photos and they aren't loaded.

Is there anything that might be slowing down Aperture?  Do you have plenty of free space on your system drive?  Are you using external drives?  Is your software up-to-date?  Are there any unexpected background processes running?  Have you done any trouble-shooting?  Did you make any changes to your system before the problem occured the first time?
If nothing seems likely, backup your Library and run "Repair" as detailed on this KB page.

  • IWeb Pages Load Slowly in Browser

    Even since the 1.0 version of iWeb, I noticed that the content rich themes resulted in very slow page loads. So, I decided to choose the most minimalist theme possible -- Modern. Even with the latest version, I still notice that the pages created load quite slowly. Here's a simple page with just a few elements on it:
    http://web.mac.com/resourcesforlife/journal/
    The various layers load at different times, so rather than text appearing on a page, the text appears without a page and then the image layer of the paper shows up later -- kind of ruining the effect of text on a paper.
    Previously, the blog directory (main page) would load at an average speed. Now it seems even slower. There are some kind of white borders being placed around the images and this takes a while to apply. I didn't notice these prior to the 2.0 version of iWeb.
    So, in general, the density of coding on the pages and inefficient design of the pages, seems to cause them to load slowly. This is a similar problem to what I've heard about with people using Microsoft Word to create HTML pages. The code ends up being very complicated and takes a long time for the browser to interpret. So, many people use programs like Dreamweaver to create the cleanest and simplest code possible for their pages allowing them to load quickly.
    Another example of an unnecessarily slow page is my blog archive. It's just text. When it generates, it almost seems like the server is creating the page using a MySQL engine or something like that. One would think that the archive page might be generated into clean HTML at the time of publishing. I looked at the source code, and it isn't pre-generated using basic HTML. It's calling up Java Script routines to generate the page:
    http://web.mac.com/resourcesforlife/journal/writings/Archive.html
    Any thoughts on this topic?

    How weird, but cool! It's too bad iWeb isn't as smart as you are. Since the site generates much of the coding on the fly at the time of publishing to the web, you would think it could think of a smarter way (like the one you've presented) to generate the page image. For example, the text I typed in on the little notepad begins as me typing text. It ultimately ends up as a graphic image created by iWeb when publishing. So, why not just make the entire page a relatively compact JPG image?
    Your suggestion would work great if I wasn't planning on changing the content of my main opening page.
    I noticed if I used the fun handwriting font along with others in the same text box, that the entire text box became hundreds (like 300) different images representing the separate text and links on the page -- super inefficient. So, I ended up using the fun handwriting font in a separate text box that gets converted to an image and then another text box of Arial font text:
    http://web.mac.com/resourcesforlife/journal/topics.html
    So, that works on those pages. But I wanted the main page to look nice. Oh, also, some of the elements on the page are links. The movie tickets link to a certain page, for example. So, I'd need to create hotspots in the jpg image to accommodate for that.
    In any event, I'm still going back to mark this question as solved because I think for most people's situations it would be with the suggestion you made -- use iWeb to design the graphics of a page, and then save it as a JPG.
    I suppose I could also use Pages or Keynote to do the same. Once an entire web page is a JPG image, it doesn't matter how it was created.

  • Newbie ?: Preview vs. Actual - browser viewing differently on server?

    I'm new to Dreamweaver CS3 - moving over from GoLive. My
    question: sometimes when I build a page, then Preview in 3
    different browsers on my computer (Firefox, Safari, Opera) - it
    displays perfectly. But when I upload it to the server - the page
    is all screwed up. I know that I have made a mistake somewhere in
    the CSS formatting to cause the problem but why does it play
    correctly on my computer but not on the server? Should it not be
    viewed by the browser the same way whether the file is on my
    computer or on the server?
    How can I check what I'm doing if it appears correct when
    being built but then when uploaded it displays incorrectly?
    Not use to this. In GoLive everything that displayed
    correctly in the browser always displayed the same on the server.
    I'm using a Mac computer, if that make any difference. Tried
    to Google and searched for info on Adobe about this but can't find
    any thing.
    Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    First I'd like to say thanks' to David and Alan for all your
    help.

    Ans: I was using a 3 column fixed template. I altered the
    sizing a little of the 3 columns. When the page was uploaded to the
    server, the center column (which was only text) started down below
    the 2 columns, so the center of the page was blank, until you
    scrolled down below the longest column. Then the center column with
    the text appeared at the bottom of the page.
    I spent some time looking at this and I had the text
    justified in the center column. I took the Justify-Center out of
    the center column and when I posted again to the server it was
    correct ( I think it was because of the Float Right for the right
    column). I'm not exactly sure why it happened but that is for
    another post. As I said, what concerns me is that I couldn't tell
    until it was posted on the server.
    I also had another problem similar to this happen yesterday
    (although it may be browser specific). I posted some pages
    (essentially mockup layouts for a client to pick and choose) on the
    server, checked them on-line from my Mac with my 3 browsers, and
    also check from a Windows XP IE machine I have. Everything looked
    good, but when I went over to my clients office for a review
    meeting, (who has windows XP and IE), one of the pages that had a
    floating box (float Right Div) in it, the floating box was up over
    the header. I believe the URL is:
    http://www.summitcom.net/test/class3b.html.
    I'm not sure if that is the correct URL because when I came back to
    my office, and went to check it, and all the pages I posted look
    correct.
    Again, I sure I did something wrong in the CSS but if it
    never looks wrong on my computers, how can I tell? That's my
    concern.

  • Specific Problem with Library Module 1:1 Preview Loading

    Hi everyone.  I've spent hours searching Google & forums for specific tips to try but I've found nothing that solved my problem.  I have a very specific problem loading 1:1 previews in Lightroom 3.3 while zoomed to 1:1.
    When I initially import a shoot (usually 3000 to 6000 images), I always render 1:1 previews during import.  My understanding is that this activity writes full-sized previews to the "Previews" folder, but I also have observed that .DAT files are created in the "Camera Raw Cache" folder.  I have my Lightroom Previews folder and my Adobe Camera Raw Cache folder on the **same** solid-state hard disk, which is dedicated to Lightroom.
    When I browse these newly-imported images in the Library module in Loupe view at 1:1 zoom, it's very zippy and fast to switch between images.  The images load without any message at a lower resolution, and then "snap" to full resolution after 0.25 to 0.5 seconds. No "Loading" message appears.
    However, once the previews have "sat around for a while", even if they are still supposedly available in the Previews folder, loading the image at 1:1 in Loupe as described takes 3-5 seconds.  Shortly after going to an image, the message "Loading..." is displayed (it doesn't say where from), and 3-5 seconds later, the full res image appears.
    This has nothing to do with changes to image settings requiring re-rendering of the preview.  These are images that I've imported but haven't browsed in a while.  I know that the previews are valid, because I can go to "Library > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews", and the task will complete within 20 or 30 seconds without re-rendering any photos after examining them and apparently finding that there are still valid 1:1 previews for all 4000 of them.  After doing this "re-render," the slow loading behavior is the same as before, because the re-render process always completes without actually updating the previews that it found are already there and presumably decided were still valid.  Discarding previews by "Library > Previews > Discard 1:1 Previews" and then trying to re-render them also does nothing, because LR3 apparently doesn't immediately delete the discarded previews, so they are picked back up again As-Is by the re-rendering process.
    If I had to guess at the reason for this behavior based on the symptoms, I would say that it seems like Lightroom is forcing itself to re-render 1:1 previews upon browsing to images that are older than a certain age (very possibly the same "30 days" after which the 1:1 previews are supposed to be discarded).
    Now, I've also observed that deleting the DAT files in the Camera Raw Cache folder has no adverse impact on load speed (which is what I would have expected to see if LR3 was looking for and loading images from this cache instead of the Previews folder).
    What this means to me is that once the image previews reach this "outdated" state, I can't get fast 1:1 browsing performance in Loupe with any reliable procedure other than manually deleting [in Windows Explorer] the entire Preview folder and then re-rendering the 1:1 previews for this shoot.  This is of course terribly inconvenient when there are recent previews that I want to save.
    Note:  I do not have any slowness under any circumstance when browsing at "Zoom to Fit".  This is only a problem when I'm browsing at 1:1 zoom (like when I'm comparing sharpness between a set of photos).
    Note:  For images with the slow behavior described, once the image has been loaded once at 1:1 zoom, it's henceforth snappy again when returning to the image (as if Lightroom was once again accepting the Preview file as valid).
    So, here's a summary:
    Previews (X:\Lightroom Catalog Previews\) and Camera Raw Cache (X:\Lightroom Cache\) are on same, dedicated, fast drive
    1:1 previews from recently-imported files load full-res at 1:1 zoom in less than 1/2 second.
    Older 1:1 previews take 3-5 seconds to load full-res at 1:1 zoom, even though the previews are supposedly being loaded from still-valid 1:1 previews in the Previews folder.
    I'm really tired, so i hope this makes sense.  I don't see how this could be a hardware problem, because I get good performance with recently-imported images.  I'm running LR3.3 on Win 7 Pro x64 with 8 GB of RAM and a 2.4 GHz Intel Core2 Quad CPU.  Never had LR3 beta installed - upgraded to 3.0 from the last 2.X version.  After upgrading, in response to this exact issue, I deleted my entire previews folder and rebuilt, but I continue to have the exact same problem on every shoot that I import.  It's most noticeable on the large shoots, because I end up having to browse at 1:1 zoom to compare a set of similar images.
    Only workaround I've found:  in Windows Explorer, manually delete the Previews folder.  Return to Lightroom and rebuild 1:1 previews.  This forces the previews to be rebuilt for all images.
    Another possible workaround I am going to experiment with: setting the Previews to "Do Not Discard", in case the defualt "Discard after 30 days" that I've used is causing or contributing to the problem.  If Lightroom is actually discarding the images after 30 days but forgetting that it had discarded them when asked to re-render 1:1's, maybe setting to "Do not discard" will bandage that problem by never discarding them to begin with.
    All right, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard.  I'm afraid to add more details as they may become incoherent.  Hope to hear some good news, as fixing this problem would make my LR3 experience so much more pleasant.
    Can anyone assist with this problem?

    Yes - this is my problem.  Previews should still be valid, and "Library > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews" says the images are still valid, but then Loupe rebuilds them anyways.

    If everything was working correctly, the setting for discard shouldn't have any effect on whether the previews go stale or not. ...
    My understanding is that if everything were working as intended, the "setting for discard" that I was referring to (Edit > Catalog Settings > File Handling > "Automatically Discard 1:1 Previews") should be the sole determinant of whether 1:1 previews must be rebuilt for images with unmodified settings.
    For example, if I import an image and render a 1:1 preview, and if I set the "Auto Discard 1:1" setting to "30 Days", and if I make no changes to the image's settings, then I would expect that the image should render quickly (under 1/2 second) at 1:1 zoom in Loupe view for the next 30 days.  On the 31st day, I would expect the image to take longer to load as a new 1:1 preview was rendered and stored, and then I would expect this new preview to be retained for another 30 days.
    I would furthermore expect that the 30-day counter would be reset every time the image was re-rendered (i.e. if I go into Develop and change something).
    To a certain extent, this is functioning correctly on my system.  When I go to one of these "problem images" that inexplicably load slowly, returning to them subsequently is quick.  I think my problem is just, as Rob suggested, that some part of Lightroom's "brain" has wacky ideas about whether an up-to-date 1:1 preview exists or not.
    If I choose to "Never" automatically discard 1:1 previews (which is what I just switched to), then I should "Never" see unmodified images taking 3-5 seconds to "Load" at 1:1 zoom in Loupe.
    Since I just nuked my Previews folder again last night and re-rendered 1:1's overnight for a 3000 image shoot, it might be a while before I start encountering this bug again.  I will certainly post any further related experiences here and will keep checking for anyone who has further insight.

    Thanks for pointing this out.  I will upgrade to 3.4RC - at least then I will be able to force a rebuild of previews from one shoot without having to manually delete the previews for my entire catalog.  I'll no longer have to throw out all the food in the refrigerator just because something smells funny.

    The DAT files are created at the same time as Library previews. However, they are only used in Develop module.
    Yes, I definitely agree with this (although, the Cache is probably also used while rendering new previews after "Quick Develop" changes in the Library module....).  I posted my observations to this effect just in case someone else wondered the same thing I did.  It is clear that the DAT files get written every time a preview is rendered for RAW file.  Rob, now that I'm thinking with a clearer mind, I think the only thing these Cached files are used for is if you "return" to recently rendered settings in Develop or Quick Develop - then, that particular combination of settings yields a match in the cache, and LR loads the image from the Cache into Previews and onto the screen.  It is logical that the cache wouldn't help us when going to new settings, because the new settings would create a partially or completely different rendering than any other combination of settings.  Adobe may be going to more advanced levels of "reusability" than this, but I'm sure this is the general state of things.
    You may want to open back up write access to that Cache folder...
    Thanks, Rob & Ian!
    So, my question, or bug report, still remains for now - why am I biting into a bag of chips marked "Fresh" and finding them Stale?  And why does it say "Paper Jam" when there is no paper jam?

  • Help - delay when previewing oam-file in browser

    Hi,
    I have created a drag-and-drop exercise in Edge Animate. I've then placed the OAM-file in Muse, but when I select "preview page in browser", my OAM-file has a delay - I can't drag and drop the objects until about 4 seconds has passed. The drag-and-drop function loads instant if i preview it in the browser from Edge Animate or from the Muse Preview-mode. Can I fix this delay in someway, or what causes it?

  • How can I restore to the Browser View of Book, several missing photo's?

    Ten photos are missing from the Browser View of the Book. The photos show up in the Photo View and are checked as being used. They also show up in the working screen view of the book. All other photos in the book show up. Why are the 10 missing? How can I restore just those photos and not all photos for that book? What difference would it make in sending that book to the printer?

    I'm not sure of your question
    Are you saying that when you view the thumbnails of the book at the top or the screen that some pages do not show the photos even though they are in the book below?
    If so that is a minor bug in iPhoto '09 - you can ignore it - it is just a display issue -- I forget exactly how but you can force a refresh of the book thumbnails - maybe double clicking on the book page - or maybe on the thumbnail
    But in any case your book is fine (you should preview it before sending - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 )

    Hi All,
    I updated my ipad to 8.1. After that, preview loading is extremely slow in the camera roll. If I try to scroll between the photos in the camera roll, it took 4 to 5 seconds to move from one image to another image. This happens after the my ipad has been updated  to 8.1
    Is there any solution for this.

    Hi erodevarun,
    Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the Photos app is running slowly. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • Previews not displaying in split view in Aperture

    Recently Aperture has stopped displaying previews for a number of photos (but strangely not all) when in split view. If I switch to browser view the previews are all there, and if I then return to split view they are back to being displayed. But if I move to another project and then return to the first they are gone again. I have repaired the Aperture database with no change, but not yet rebuilt it. This change in behaviour was not concurrent with an Aperture update. However there have been lots of updates affecting 10.8.2 since the most recent version of Aperture. Any thoughts?

  • How to set browser view as a desktop view by default in mobile using jquery

    Hi,
    we are create one website in sharepoint 2013 with responsive.
    when ever we are opening in mobile and desktop it is loading with exact UI.
    But, our client asking us to change the view from mobile view to desktop view in browser while the page is loading,
    the behind reason is dropdown view, our client expecting the look and feel exactly like desktop in mobile.

    Hi BrettoAbraham,
    Answer is - Deactivate "Mobile Browser View" from site feature.
    By default, "Mobile Browser View" is active to save data bandwidth in PS2013. When it is active, it renders "Site content" page assuming user just select list/library to perform operation.
    If you want user to see site page first and then navigate, then please Deactivate "Mobile Browser View"
    Hope this will help you

  • Browser Viewing  / Testing?

    I must be mad , I'm a newbe but have some background ....
    great software ... problem I can make all the pages fine ,,,test
    them all indivigully they all show up 100% by themself in the
    browser ... but when I link the pages from the index page and then
    test the links the browser linked page show up with broken links
    for most of the items .... what and i doing wrong in the linking or
    what am i doing wrong with the linked page ?????

    This is usually the symptom of using ROOT relative links in
    your page.
    See - if you have a) your PREFERENCES set to use temp files
    on preview, and
    b) you have used ROOT relative links, here is what happens -
    Your page has a link like this -
    <a href="/whatever.html"....
    When you preview this, DW changes that link in the temp file
    so that it
    looks like this -
    <a href="whatever.html"... (depending on where that file
    actually is located
    in the site)
    AND the link works from your previewed browser view. BUT,
    when you click on
    it to bring up "whatever.html", and that page contains a link
    that also
    looks like this - <a href="/whatever2.html", but now DW's
    smoke and mirrors
    presto-changeo modification is out of the picture and the
    browser sees that
    leading slash as referring to the root of the hard drive, not
    the root of
    the site (the browser has no idea where the root of the site
    is).
    So, as Alan says, it is often not a good idea to 'click
    through' your pages
    like this UNLESS you really understand how this works.

  • Applications load slowly on imac after Mavericks clean install

    After a clean install of Mavericks, my late 2009 imac runs more slowly compared to how it ran under Snow Leopard.  Applications like "Settings" take a few seconds to load, whereas under snow leopard, the application would load almost instantly.  The Novabench score now is around 771, and matches about what I measured after the clean Mavericks install, but appears low compared to scores for similarly configured systems running Snow Leopard.  The system is quite usable, especially if applications are left open, just slower.  Is it possible to identify from Etrecheck a possible explanation?  Is this level of degradation of performance expected when upgrading an old system?  Thank you for your help.

  • Images and objects loading slowly

    I built my personal website with Adobe Muse (http://www.tylerburton.me/) and there are a few issues I would like to fix. The main problem is certain images and objects seem to load slowly and weirdly when I navigate to the pages. The green navigation bar at the top of the screen as well as the background of my portfolio or the two main examples. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    For the two background images, create the faded effect in Photoshop and save the images as JPEG prior to importing into Muse.
    At present these two images are either transparent to begin with or have transparency applied in Muse to create the faded effect. That works visually, but results in Muse converting the images to PNG (to support the transparency) and PNG is roughly 5 times larger than a reasonable quality JPEG for this type of image. If you flatten the effect into an opaque version of the image in Photoshop, then JPEG format can be used.
    I'm not seeing unusual loading of the header bar, but you might be seeing FOUT (Flash Of Unstyled Text)? It can/will occur if the browser first draws the page before the Web Fonts have loaded. The exact behavior depends on connection speed, the browser used and no doubt other factors.

  • Issue: Cannot preview FLV on any browser on Intel Based Mac (10.5.5)

    Issue:
    FLV file is not displayed on the browser when previewed.
    Instead, the Clear_Skin_1.swf is displayed. (Safari 3.1.2, Firefox
    3.0.2)
    How to reproduce:
    When you insert a .FLV file on an HTML Doc.
    (Insert>Media>FLV) and preview it on the browser
    (File>Preview in Browser) then Clear_Skin_1.swf is displayed
    instead of the FLV playing.
    *note: going on live view within Dreamweaver CS4 plays the
    video.
    Environment:
    Dreamweaver CS4
    Mac OS 10.5.5
    Safari 3.1.2
    Firefox 3.0.2
    ***Actions i did so far***
    1. I tried to export the site definition and import all the
    files to the windows platform. (Scripts folder containing
    expressInstall.swf and swfobject_modified.js which is automatically
    generated in dwcs4, the HTML document with the flv file,
    Clear_Skin_1.swf, FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf)
    2. Previewing the same HTML doc in windows do not produce the
    same problem which is happening on Mac. The FLV plays without any
    problem.
    3. Recreated Preference files and Configuration files but to
    no avail. (Mac)
    Anybody else getting this issue? Anyone has an Intel Based
    Mac who can try to reproduce the issue on their end? Can this be a
    possible bug? Conflict with the OS? Browser issue? Any response
    will be appreciated.
    Happy Holidays.

    I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 on a Intel Mac running OSX 10.5.6
    and in just the past 2 weeks deployed almost a dozen FLV movies and
    they all worked perfectly on the www in all browsers, so I don't
    think it's related to your Mac, OSX, or browser, and I don't
    believe it's a bug of any kind since it's not recreated for all
    people.
    I know that's not much help, but at least you can eliminate
    all of those things. Make sure you've uploaded all of the files
    required for the movies, and you are using the best coding
    practices for enconding FLV videos and adding to pages. Let's take
    a closer look at an example of code used for FLVs:
    <object
    classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="218"
    height="159" id="FLVPlayer">
    <param name="movie" value="FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf"
    />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
    <param name="scale" value="noscale" />
    <param name="salign" value="lt" />
    <param name="FlashVars"
    value="&amp;MM_ComponentVersion=1&amp;skinName=Clear_Skin_2&amp;streamName=movies/CEO_vid eo&amp;autoPlay=false&amp;autoRewind=true"
    />
    <param name="swfversion" value="8,0,0,0" />
    <!-- This param tag prompts users with Flash Player 6.0
    r65 and higher to download the latest version of Flash Player.
    Delete it if you don’t want users to see the prompt. -->
    <param name="expressinstall"
    value="scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
    <!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it
    from IE using IECC. -->
    <!--[if !IE]>-->
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
    data="FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf" width="218" height="159">
    <!--<![endif]-->
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
    <param name="scale" value="noscale" />
    <param name="salign" value="lt" />
    <param name="FlashVars"
    value="&amp;MM_ComponentVersion=1&amp;skinName=Clear_Skin_2&amp;streamName=movies/CEO_vid eo&amp;autoPlay=false&amp;autoRewind=true"
    />
    <param name="swfversion" value="8,0,0,0" />
    <param name="expressinstall"
    value="scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
    <!-- The browser displays the following alternative
    content for users with Flash Player 6.0 and older. -->
    <div>
    <h4>Content on this page requires a newer version of
    Adobe Flash Player.</h4>
    <p><a href="
    http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img
    src="
    http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif"
    alt="Get Adobe Flash player" /></a></p>
    </div>
    <!--[if !IE]>-->
    </object>
    <!--<![endif]-->
    </object>
    Note in this example, there are many more include files
    needed than just the clear skin swf. FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf,
    expressInstall.swf, and also the stream name of the movie which
    tells it where to find the movie. Point I'm getting at, be sure to
    double check everything to make sure you have included everything,
    and they are all where they are suppose to be. I think that should
    solve the problem for you.

  • Fast Internet Connection, but webpages loading slowly

    Hello everybody,
    this is my first post in this community. So far this group has helped me to solve all kinds of problems I ran into by simply browsing the forum, but this time I hope that somebody might be able to help me directly.
    My wireless network at home consists of an AirPort Extreme Base Station (4th Generation) and an AirPort Express Base Station that are both connected via Ethernet to a Cisco Router. I have a cable internet connection and I use the Cisco Router (which was provided by my ISP) as an interface between the cable socket and my two Apple base stations. However, only the AirPort Extreme Base Station is used to create a wireless network. The AirPort Express is used only for AirPlay.
    For a couple of months now, I have been experiencing an odd problem. Webpages take a very long time to load on my MacBook Pro (13'' Retina display), my older MacBook, as well as on my girlfriend's MacBook Air (11''). Sometimes the pages load for so long that there is a timeout before the page is loaded completely. I experience this with all kinds of web browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome). The odd thing is that only the loading of webpages seem to be affected. Internet Downloads, Video Streams, etc. are still extremely fast. I get the following results on speedtest.net (after spending 1 minute to load the page):
    - Ping: 9ms
    - Download Speed: 38.55 Mbps
    - Upload Speed: 7.62 Mbps
    Also, when connected to the network with my iPad or my girlfriend's iPhone, pages load with a normal speed. We experience the issues only on our Mac computers. Outside my home network all computers load pages as quickly as they should.
    Here is a list of things that I tried:
    - Restarted AirPort Extreme Base Station and Cisco Router
    - Factory Reset of AirPort Extreme Base Station and Cisco Router
    - Downgraded AirPort Extreme Base Station from 7.6.1. to various former versions and back
    - Changed channels of the Airport Extreme Base Station
    - Connected to AirPort Extreme base station via Ethernet (pages still loading slowly)
    - Ran Activity Monitor on my Mac, but found no activities that could cause the Mac to slow down
    - Ran Network Utility and sent a ping to google.com, but experienced no traffic loss
    At this point I am really running out of ideas on how to solve this. Does anybody have a clue what might cause this?
    Best regards,
    Georg

    HI tzbikowski,
    thanks for your message!
    I added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to my DNS server list. This has definitely improved things. Pages are loading quicker now, but it's still far from the speed you would expect. Could you elaborate on what you mean when you say that the cisco settings should be correctly propagated onto LAN? When connecting to the Cisco router through the admin interface, it mentions two different DNS servers that the router appears to use (I guess those are provided by my ISP). Are you referring to these servers?
    Thanks!
