Price Difference: Out of box w/ Missing Accessories vs Out of box w/o Missing Accessories?

Hello
Ok, so I need some help.
Last night, I purchased a Samsung 55" TV out of box. When I went home to install my brand new (used) TV. It was missing the power cord! After further examination, it was also missing the IR Extender Cable and the batteries.
On the label, it said it was "no missing accessories" but unfortunately, it was missing some key accessories to run the tv. I talked to the store and they were unable to provide me with the missing accessories and that I had to buy them individually and despite being labeled as "no missing accessories," that's the true cost of the TV.
My question, is that price correct, would there be a price difference if a out of box tv had all the accessories vs not having all the accessories?
I just want to make sure I paid the true value of the TV. As I see it, the TV may have been priced based on all the accessories but since the TV is missing accessories, the price of the TV may be different.
Your thoughts?

Hello ItsJTP,
Open box items are a great way to save on some of your favorite devices! It is sad to hear that this experience may not have met your expectations or been what we hope for our customers purchasing such items. I am sorry for any concern this may have caused you.
Open box items should be marked appropriately for any missing pieces or accessories, and then priced accordingly. With that said, unfortunately I am unable to know whether this was priced correctly, and missing accessories listed incorrectly, or if the missing accessories were listed incorrectly and thus the price was not appropriate.

  • Missing IN or OUT parameters error -filtering treeModel using VL Accessor

    Hi All ,
    jdev 11.1.1.6 , ADF BC
    I am trying to filter a leaf node of a tree hierarchy using Frank's example @ Pg 12 - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/feb2011-otn-harvest-328207.pdf
    I try to do this in a AM method -
    if (r != null) { RowSet rs = (RowSet)r.getAttribute("EmployeesView");
    if (rs != null) { ViewObject accessorVO = rs.getViewObject();
    //applyViewCriteria on accessorVO now...But somehow after I get the ViewObject the ViewLink paramValues become null due to which I get the error
    java.sql.SQLException: Missing IN or OUT parameter at index:: 2after I do accessorVO.executeQuery()...
    I also see a message immediately after I get the accessorVO in the code bit mentioned above
    <accessor VO name via ViewLink reference> ViewRowSetImpl.setParamValues params changed.The Rowset rs has the params in it when I inspect the same :(
    Can anyone help with what I am missing.

    Anybody has any idea?
    The only difference is probably that I am trying to show this in the below tree-like structure instead of a actual af:treeTable.
    <af:iterator id="i1" value="#{bindings.LocationsView1.collectionModel}"
                         var="locRow">
              <af:outputText value="#{locRow.City}" id="ot2"/>
    <af:iterator id="i2" value="#{locRow.children}" var="deptRow">
                <af:outputText value="#{deptRow.DepartmentName}" id="outputText1"/>
    <af:table value="#{deptRow.children}"
                          var="row" rowSelection="single" id="t1">
                  <af:column sortProperty="FirstName" sortable="false"
                             headerText="#{bindings.EmployeesView1.hints.FirstName.label}"
                             id="c1">
                    <af:outputText value="#{row.FirstName}" id="ot1"/>
                  </af:column>
                </af:table>
              </af:iterator>I am basically trying to filter the Departments i.e. 2nd node .. TreeBinding in page definition has been configured properly.
    I am able to replicate this for a simple Loc-Dept-Emp hierarchy.

    I  bought the new ipad in Brea Apple store in Oct 1st.  I know it is  only 15days to return or refund.  but I  have bought the new ipad only for 24 days, and now  it
    devalueted $100.  I  can't accept this fact. Therefore, can I  exchange my ipad ? or  give me the 100$  price difference ?
    thanks   BTW  Do you have any Chinese customer services, I think I  can contact you more convenient with Chinese.

    Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The only people who will reply to your posts are your fellow users.
    You would need to talk to the Apple Store from which you purchased the iPad. Apple's official return policy is 14 days, though it's been reported that the manager of some Apple Stores have been waiving that limit.
    I doubt very much that the Apple Store will have anyone who speaks Chinese, though of course you can ask.

  • Price differences and GR/IR

    Hi
    A question on price differences.
    We currently post our price differences at goods receipt (PO price - Std price).
    And secondly at invoice receipt (PO price - Actual price)
    In order to be able to analyze easier, we want to post goods receipts always against standard price.
    At invoice receipt the full price differences should be posted then.
    Does anyone know if and how this setting is possible in SAP ?
    Thanks.

    Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this can be done.  I just wanted to point out that you may wish to reconsider doing this as some of your receipts would not have variances recognized until a month or so after the original goods receipt.  If the terms are net 30 (or whatever), the invoice would not be paid for 30 days and the variance wouldn't be recorded until the invoice is paid.  The idea behind using the PO Expected Price is to book the amount as close to 'actual' as possible upon receipt of the goods.

  • Price Difference in Sub contracting

    Hi all,
    I have a question on price difference on sub-contracting.  The issue is, there is a sub contracting PO for Rs.100 for 10 units.  GR is done for 100 units.  Before the IR is done, there is a change in the PO price to Rs.60.  Further of the 10 units which was received, 6 units have been issued out.  Now the stock in hand is only 4 units.  As there is a price change, the difference in the price to the extent of the stock availability is posted to Stock account  (40/10*4 = 16) and the balance of price difference (for non-availability of stock) *shoud  be*  posted to price difference account.
    Wanted to confirm  from where is the price difference account is picked up for sub contract?  Whether it is the GL account given in PRD or FRL in OBYC settings.
    Also please throw light on how to stop the changing the price after GR and before IR.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Narasimhan.J

    Hi Kishore,
    Thanks for replying.  Yes, we use MAP only.
    I  created a test scenario and changed the GL accounts at Transaction FRL - External activitiy in OBYC settings and could see that the GL account specified in the FRL is picked up to post the price difference.
    To the extent of stock availablility it is posted to the FG account and  rest is posted to the GL account  specified in Transaction FRL in OBYC setting.

  • Price difference in MAP material

    Hi,
       I am taking a material which is managed Batch wise and split valuation is active, while valuation type is moving average price.
    when doing the goods issue for the material, it is hitting the entry in Price difference account..
    But when I am reversing the same GI document, it does not hit the Price Difference account. It loads the Price difference on inventory.
    but requirement is that, during reversal of goods issue it should post the PRD account by whatever amount was posted in PRD account during Goods Issue.
    Please help me out, how to solve this. By any means, can we post the entry in PRD when material is managed by MAP.
    Thanks,
    Varun

    Hi,
      Material A is batch managed with split valuation active. In the material master valuation type  MAP is maintained.
    When doing the Good Receipt of this material with quantity 1, with 475 $, MAP changes to 475$ for newly generated batch valuation.
    When doing the Goods Issue at 300$ with quantity 1, inventory account is credited by 300$, and 175$ is debited to Gain/loss account.
    When reversing this GI document, material account is debited by 475$. But my requirement is that, it should debit material account by 300$ only and 175$ should be credited to Gain/loss account.
    Hope, now I am able to clear my requirement.
    Thanks,
    Varun

  • Price Difference at the time of GR

    Hi All,
    We have an Item with Price Control as "S" the current price for that Item is 4961 and the time of Goods Issue  system is picking price 5827.
    At the time of GR system post following entry
    Material Account Dr 5827
    IR account Cr 4961
    Purchase Variance Account Cr 865
    What could be the reason for this?
    Help me out in this.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Hi!
    there is a conflict in your writing.
    initially you have given accounting entry for GR as::
    Material Account Dr 5827
    IR account Cr 4961
    Purchase Variance Account Cr 865
    But later you have written that GI is posted before above GR.
    that means there must be a change in price first one, second one, if stock account is posted with 5827 means - if price control is "V", then this is your purchase price ( in this normmaly there will not be any price difference, except in shortage of stock available than goods receipt) , if price control is "S" - the standard price should be 5827.
    Now check when GI is happened, what is the standard price before that GI.
    Please check tables - mbew/mbewh/ebew/ebewh/qbew/qbewh ( where ever scenarios are applicable for you).
    If you don't find any thing, then it is better to post OSS message .

  • Price Difference account at the time of Order Settlement

    Hi SAP Gurus
    While doing Period End Activities in Controlling, Variances are getting posted to Price difference account (P&L account), similarly at the time of MIRO also, any adjusted amount of a material, is getting posted to price difference a/c if the material stock is not available.
    Please help me where this Price diffrence account is assigned or mapped in sap, and how it getting affected while settling orders.
    Expecting an immediate reply.
    Regards
    Praveen Kumar.B

    Hi Ganesh
    Thanks for valuable advice, but in our case when i double click PRD, there is only one account is mapped in our chart of accounts, But there is no field for Valuation class, from Account field and to account field,
    only one field is there by nme Account, where in Price difference account is maintained.
    I don't have the option of linking Valuation class with GL Accounts of RM & Semi Finished Materials.
    How can make those fields to be shown in that Screen.
    If  i check for other chart of accounts, it is showing 3 fields
    such as Valuation class, from account no & to account no.
    but for our chart of account only one filed "account" is displayed in the screen.
    Please help me out.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Price difference between the requisition and the order

    Hi All,
    There is new functionality in ERP6 that checks the difference in price price between the requisition and the order. The configuration is under Purchase Requisition -> Tolerance Limits -> Define Tolerance Keys. This is very useful functionality when the requistion item is approved at an estimated price, but a purchasing group needs to change the $ value it will block the Purchase Order.
    I have this configuration menu available in SPRO in one of my systems (IDES), however on a newly installed ERP6 system we are missing this menu path in SPRO.
    Does anyone know why this menu path in SPRO is missing on some systems...

    Thanks Henry,
    I've done some digging and the tables that store these config settings are part of US Federal Governement addons.
    Looks like all the (non government) sites that need it aren't able to have it. Great shame really as this would be very useful to communicate with the requestor whena  price difference occurs.

  • 0.01 price difference local currency amount (not due to forex)

    Hi All,
    I have this strange system behaviour.
    In foreign currency, it has no issue. But when see in local currency, it has price difference which is not due to forex.
    The exchange rate used is 7.79594
    ithe 4 GR lines in foreign currency
    14,006.00
    9,870.00
    14,194.00
    3,948.00
    where the total foreign amount is 42,018.00
    the 4 GR lines in local currency
    109,189.98
    76,945.96
    110,655.62
    30,778.38
    where the total calculated by system is 327,569.94
    BUT, if you calculate yourself, it should be the below where total is 327569.81.
    109189.94
    76945.93
    110655.57
    30778.37
    Both amount giving the difference of 0.12. (line item of GRC cannot set off due to difference of 0.12. GR 327,569.94 and IR 327,569.82).
    Now, during IR, the foreign amount is same which is 42,018.00 and exchagne rate also the same 7.79594 but the GRC amount is credited 327569.82.
    But if you see in PO history in me23n, the amount at IR line is 327569.81.
    When I see the document in local currency, it throws out credit of 0.01.
    My question is,
    1) why during GR, the amount calculated manually and system different by 0.12?
    2) why during IR, the local amount with addition of 0.01, which is 327569.82 whereas in PO history in me23n, it is showing 327569.81. Why FI document figure and PO history tab IR line different by 0.01?
    Thanks

    Hi Calesta,
    While the currencies have decimals exceeding 4places, then system would many times dismayed while converting and displaying between the local and the foreign currencies. Pls check if you have defined decimal places for the currencies as per your requirement.
    Finally the concern is in the acc doc entries either in MIGO or MIRO. If the difference you are getting is affecting your accounting due to exchange rate differences etc you can configure automatic posting by TE key KDR in OBYC
    Regards
    Shiva

  • Price difference in inovice(scheduling agreement)

    Hello Gurus,
    Can anyone please suggest me on the systems unknown behaviour given below.
    We have scheduling agreement in currency GBP and Local currency EUR, when we post GR, it is getting posted perfectly i.e with proper accounting entries as Inventory account to GR IR account and proper values . But when we post the Invoice system is crediting the same GRIR amount to vendor account which is right and debiting a huge unknown figure to Price difference account and the difference between these two is getting credited to GRIR account. This is completely out of logic.
    Exchange rates are perfectly ok. when we create another scheduling agreement with the same data(as old scheduling agreement) it is working fine. now I am not able to find out where the problem is, can anyone suggest on this.
    Thank you,
    Srinivas

    Hi Srinivas,
    This will happen normally when the price in MMSA difference from the current standard cost estimate in material master.  The difference between these two will post to Price difference account normally.
    Check what is the last costing period/year for that material.  Complete the costing run for current period and post now.  It solves your problem
    ~Thanks!

  • Foreign Exchange difference posted to price difference account at MIGO

    Hi,
    We have a problem regarding posting foreign exchange rate difference at the time of GR.
    We are costing materials at the beginning of year, and purchases made during the year as per PIR will result in legitimate price difference which is posted to price difference account.  Thatu2019s working alright.
    Now, due to new business requirement, we maintained PIR in MXN (Mexican peso), & standard cost is converted in local currency USD as per exch. rate maintained in OB08.
    Now, when we do GR, the difference of foreign exchange at the time of Std. cost & GR date is posted to Price difference account instead of foreign exchange account.  For eg. Std .cost of material A is 1000 MXN, and GR cost of material X is also 1000 MXN, however corresponding USD is different because of different foreign exchange rate.
    Will appreciate if someone can suggest on how can we post it to exch.rate diff.account instead of price diff. acct. ?
    Thanks,
    Nirav

    Hi,
    Thanks for your replies.
    We have already maitained exch.rate GL OBYC-KDM, which is successfully posted with the exch.rate diff.arising out of GR & IV at the time of IV.
    I'm talking about price difference in Std. cost & GR value because of exch.rate diff.
    For example, Std cost for Material A is 1000 MXN converted to $100 with exch.rate of 10. Now, GR happens with 1000 MXN converted to $200 with prevailing exch.rate of 5. Please note that std. cost and GR is the same price 1000 MXN, but USD amount is changed resulting $100 gets posted to PRICE DIFFERENCE Account, whereas we want to post it to FOREIGN Exch. diff.A/c becuase it's arising out of exch,rate difference.
    Please let me know if it makes sense.
    Thanks,
    Nirav

  • Landed costs and price differences

    I'm trying to figure out what PS does to adjust for total value discrepancies between an invoice voucher and associated PO. Say on my PO I have a line item with quantity of 2 and unit price of $10. Therefore total value is $20. When I create a voucher, that same line item is now 2x$11 = $22. I approve that voucher for $22. Now I run the Extract Landed Cost batch process. What does this process do to "compensate" for the difference between voucher and PO? Does it change the unit price of that item in inventory from $10 to $11?

    Hi, yes you are right: Using this approach ML would use price differences for other batches and increase their value instead of posting them as loss like the initial cost.
    The way around that would be to post some unplanned material good receipt for the loss production order, e.g. a material called scrap. In account determination you might make sure that these materials have own stock and price difference accounts that you could treat special in your balance sheet.
    This would be shown in ML like a joint production between the planned product and the scrap material and multi-level variances would be distributed using following an apportionment structure from material master.
    If it is difficult to maintain a reasonable apportionment structure you might implement BADI  cost_split described in note 997264.
    Also a good possibility would be to use a quantity-proportional split that can be derived from the ML quantity structure.
    I could provide an example implementation of that.
    best regards,  Udo

  • Reg:- Price difference

    Dear All
    In purchase order we maintained the exchange rate of 88.1 (Exchange rate Check box was not ticked) and the Po was in Currency GBP. When Migo was done with the exchange rate was 79.00 and while doing Miro the exchange rate was 81. So there is a rate difference of Rs 1. But now my question was this difference exchange rate is ¾ amount is posted to Material account and ¼ was posted to Prd Account.
    As per my knowledge if my material price control is V the entire amount of price difference should be posted to material account but why it is posting ¾ to material account and ¼ to prd account. Is there any configuration changes to be made?
    Please help regarding this and maximum points will be awarded for helpful answer.
    Regards
    Edited by: vinay bhaskar on Mar 12, 2008 11:54 AM

    Hi Vinay,
    The settings will remain same. But the thing is when you do MIRO if there is price variance( normal or ex rate diff) then the system will auto check the availability of the quantity of that material involved. If there is suffcient quantity to the extent of MIRO quantity then it will post to the inventory account otherwise it will post proportionate value to inv account to the extent it is available.
    It seems in your case before you post miro.... 25% of the quantity is already consumed to order or cost center, whatever so and hence the posting happened to prd account to the extent of 25%...
    Hope this clarifies.

    Velumani
