Price Protection ?

new MBP user. Purchased one week prior to the new release on Tuesday May 29th. Is there any way to exchange for the latest? or perhaps get a refund on the price difference?
Thanks
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

If you purchased your MacBook Pro through the Apple Store, you have fourteen calendar days to return it, assuming that it wasn't a custom configuration in which case they won't take it back. Apple will charge you a 10% restocking fee if, as I would presume, you've opened the box.
As to price protection, no, probably not since it was a new model, not a price reduction on the older model.
You can see Apple's full policies here:
http://www.apple.com/support/store/postpurchase.html
If you purchased your MacBook Pro from another source, then that dealer's return policies, if any, would apply.

  • Is there any Price Protection in Lenovo ?

    I bought a T500 on lenovo's website on Jan 10. The price is $1,246.74.
Yesterday I found the price of the same configuration T500 had become to $1,204.27 before I received the computer.
It's very disapointed to find my computer's price cut down before I get it.  I want lenovo give me the money back. Is there any Price Protection in Lenovo ?

Great! Should I ask "Price Protection" now or 21 days later ?
If they give me the $45 back now, may I ask another "Price Protection" when they decrease the price again?
I emailed to lenovo yesterday ([email protected]) but there is no response until now.

  • Price Protection Scheme

Our company offers price protection to our customer.  Whenever we increase our price, we allow the customer to use the old price for a certain period at an agreed accumulated quantity.
When price is increased, SAP will already use the new price in the Sales Order, but customer still uses the old price in the PO.  Upon payment of the customer (after a month or 2) , We issue credit memo to the customer.
How do you handle this process?  How can the system calculate the amount that should be indicated in the CM?

    Hi,
Use pricing date field that are available both at header level and item level of the sales order.
For example, when the sales order is created at a later date, put the PO date as pricing date in the sales order. By this way, the system can pull the old pricing value in the sales order. Note that the new pricing record should have been created after this pricing date.

  • Never received price protection refund...

I spoke with a best buy rep on Monday about the price of the items I pre-ordered decreasing and they said I would receive a refund of the difference immediately. Several days later and I still don't see the adjustment. I ordered Hannibal Season 2 and Arrow Season 2 for a total $59.66 I used a $10 reward certificate & got the 15% off when you buy 2 tv shows promotion. If I would have placed the order now the total would come to around $46.75 (including the $10 certificate and 15% promotion.) I would appreciate some help in this matter as I am still waiting for my $12.xx refund that I was promised. Please note that I can not currently be reached over the phone.

    Hello DeannaF7,
Welcome to the forum! Our Low Price guarantee is a great way to insure that you will always get the best price on your favorite products. I'm sorry to hear that the representative did not refund the difference on your TV shows immediately as promised.
Using the e-mail you registered on the forum, I was able to locate the order, and I can see that a credit for the difference was applied earlier today, and you should see that reflected on your account within approximately 3 business days.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

  • Price Protection from Schools' bookstores???

    Hi there,
Is there anyone of you purchased iMac G5 Rev B in schools' bookstores weeks before the New iMac iSight came out?
I was wondering if schools' bookstores offer any rebate for us students like people got rebate from Apple...

    Call them and ask.
If you are a long-time customer and/or persuasive enough you might be able to strike some kind of mutual agreement.
    Good Luck!

  • How to get your $200 back from the price drop.

Many of you likely paid with a credit card and many of the credit card companies have a price protection policy. I know american express and some mastercards do. Basically if you buy a product and the price goes down within 60 or 90 days depending on the credit card company, you get back the price difference. I know for mastercard they will refund up to $250. Try that out.

I just got off the phone with my credit card company (ATT Universal) and they have confirmed that they do indeed honor "retail purchase protection." If you have purchased an item and the merchant drops the price within 60 days, then you can obtain a refund of up to $250.
To all of us jilted Apple-lovers, I would suggest this course of action to resolve if possible. It's one thing to have a lone customer whining to an assistant manager of an Apple store, it's another thing to have a room full of lawyers for credit card companies in an Apple board room asking Apple how it plans to resolve the large numbers of refunds that the credit card companies were forced to pay out.
    Good luck, all!

  • Price Policy

So on Wednesday December 18th I went on the VZW web site to order a new phone. I went with the MOTO X, which at the time was $99.99, I wanted to design my own, so i selected the ' Design Yours' link. This link forwarded me to the Motorola website, where I designed the Moto X that i wanted. When it came time to check out, I was asked which carrier the device was for, and i selected Verizon Wireless. My payment information was taken, a credit check was performed and then the order was submitted. I checked back on VZW website on the 19th of December and saw that the MOTO X was now on sale for $49.99. My phone was delivered on the 20th of December exactly how i ordered it, it was up in running in now time. The activation process was flawless.
On Tuesday December 24th I decided to enquire about the price policy that Verizon has, I first spoke to a representative via chat, who gave me the phone number to customer support 800 922 0204. The customer representative was very knowledgeable. I then called customer support to speak to a representative about the price policy. The representative informed me that because I made the purchase through BestBuy.com, there was nothing that could be done. I kept asking how BestBuy got involded in this whole process when I started the purchase on the VZW's website, and was redirected to Motorola's website. The representative assured me that Verizon does not redirect you to a 3rd party web site.
I've been a customer since '96 and I have never had any issues with their customer service, but today they had me boiling. So Verizon, can you help me out here?

Actually, Verizon will price match, but not if the purchase was through a third party.  Usually it has to be within 14 days of purchase, but the holiday extended timeframe applies:
Take some of the stress out of the holidays with our Extended holiday return policy & price protection guarantee
All device and accessory purchases made between 11/28/13 and 12/25/13 may be returned or exchanged through 1/15/14.
If you purchase a device or accessory from Verizon Wireless between 11/28/13 and 12/25/13 and we offer it at a lower price, we will match the lower price through 1/15/14. Depending on how you purchased your device or accessory, simply contact us as soon as you see the price difference in one of the following ways:
If you purchased online at VerizonWireless.com and we offer a lower price online, call 800-922-0204.
If you purchased in our store and the store is now offering a lower price, return to the store.
If you purchased from us over the phone and we offer a lower advertised price, call 800-922-0204.
All other provisions of Verizon Wireless' Return and Exchange Policy still apply.

  • My local BestBuy store won't let me price match with Walmart because Walmart's price is too low

as what title said(NOT clearance item)
I was supposed to get the movie tonight
here is the movie at BestBuy:
    Titanic (4-Disc)(Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack)(with e-copy) 1997 BestBuy Link SKU: 5401018      BestBuy is selling $21.99
Here is the SAME ITEM at Walmart:
    {removed per forum guidelines} is selling $3.58
I'm living in NYC, no Walmart around
I would have to pay something like $4 shipping from Walmart to get this movie
I still have about over $300 BestBuy GC plus elite membership to get a free shipping
Is anyone can tell me the price protection/price match policy for BestBuy?

    Hello williamtan,
Welcome to the forum! Using our Price Match Guarantee can be a fantastic way to save some money on your purchases while still visiting your preferred stores. It is discouraging to hear you may have been dissatisfied with your experience requesting this price match on a copy of Titanic at our Atlantic Center store in Brooklyn, NY.
Per our Price Match Guarantee, sadly we do not price match WalMart.com. That being said, we would price match a Wal-Mart that is within a 25 mile radius of one of our stores, assuming the product meets the rest of the criteria, including being the identical item. Unfortunately, as you state there aren’t any Wal-Marts around, we wouldn’t be able to provide this price match. Furthermore, upon my review, it does seem that these may not be identical items.
Given this information, it would seem that the Atlantic Center store would have been correct in denying this price match, although I’m sorry if you were provided any inaccurate information as to the reason for the denial. When such instances come along, we should be sure we are courteous and clearly explain the Price Match Guarantee. I apologize if this experience has caused you any dismay.
Thank you for taking the time to register with the forum to share your experience with us! Please know that I’ve made sure to note your price match experience at our Atlantic Center store in detail so that we may have it available to better our methods in the future. If you should have any questions, please let us know!

  • Can i get a refund if price of recent purchase goes down

I recently purchased a few HD movies with itunes extras on itunes for €16.99 each in the middle of July, they were part of a series.  I went to buy another HD movie in this series with itunes extras and the price has now gone down to €12.99 for all the movies I purchased.  Is there anyway I can get a refund of the difference or is just bad luck that I bought the movies a couple of weeks before the price drop?

Sad to say that you are correct. It's just that it was out of luck that the items went on discount after oyu bought it. As I've heard, does not provide price protection or refunds in the event of a price drop or promotional offering. It's in ther terms of use:

  • Apple iPhone Credit Purchase after 8/22 but before Price Cut

Does anyone know how you get a credit if you bought your phone after August 22 but before the price drop? I thought that the phone credit was higher if you bought after August 22 but before the price drop. Do you have to go into Apple Store as nothing is available on line.

    Apple has a price protection
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/storecredit/priceprotection/
Terms and Conditions for Price Protection
iPhones purchased from Apple and invoiced to you from August 22, 2007 through September 4, 2007, are eligible for price protection. The deadline for price protection claims is September 19, 2007. You must file your price protection claims at the Apple store (Apple Retail or Apple Online Store) where you purchased your iPhone. If you do not file your claim for price protection by September 19, 2007, you may submit a claim after that date for a $100 Apple Store credit via the procedure outlined at www.apple.com/iphone/storecredit. For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, that procedure’s restrictions against claims for iPhones purchased between August 22, 2007, and September 4, 2007, will not apply if you have not made a claim for price protection by September 19, 2007. NOTE: If you purchased from AT&T, visit the store where you made your purchase for price protection details. (If you purchased from AT&T and were not able to obtain price protection, you also are eligible to submit a claim for a $100 credit under these provisions.)

  • Recent price drop for Mac Books

I bought my black mac book less than 2 months ago and noted that resellers have dropped the price by $150 due to the release of new models . Unfortunately my reseller only provides 30 days of price protection. Does Apple provide direct rebates or incentives directly for customers thus affected?

  • Price increase every year

    Hi All,
We have a requirement where in a contract the list price of an item needs to increase every year by 10%. This could be every year for 10 years or just every year as long as the material is active in SAP. Also within the year there should be price protection which means the List price cannot be changed. Is this possible partly or completely in Std sap?
    Thanks,
    Rashmi

    Hi Rashmi,
I understand you have 2 scenarios here
    1. Within a year , the price will remain same
    2. after every year, the price should change by 10%
Since it is a very long term that you are talking here ( 10 years or till the material exist), there can be 2 methods of doing it.
    1. Since you know the list price starting today (which will remain constant throughout year) and also the next year's mark-up is also known i.e. 10%
so go to VK11, make the list price entry as below
    Material
    amount
    Start Date
    End Date
    A
    120
    01-Jan-14
    31-Dec-14
    A
    132
    (120+10% of 120)
    01-Jan-15
    31-Dec-15
    A
    145
    (132+10% of 132)
    01-Jan-16
    31-Dec-16
    A
    160
    01-Jan-17
    31-Dec-17
    A
    176
    01-Jan-18
    31-Dec-18
    A
    193
    01-Jan-19
    31-Dec-19
    A
    213
    01-Jan-20
    31-Dec-20
So like this you can do this 1 time activity and your requirement is done.
    2. The other method involves ABAPing.
You make an entry of list price (currrent) in VK11 valid for next 10 years
in the pricing you assing a Z-formula to the Condition
this Z-formula will calculate the year (based on the Sys-date and the condition start date) and apply the 10% markup accordingly.
I suggest you go with option 1, it seems very childish but it is 100% standard with ZERO possibility of BUGS !!
    -Cheers,
    Sachin.
