Pricing description in custom report
Hello,
We are developing a custom report. The report will fetch invoices from VBRK table for a a given date.
For the selected invoices, we need to pick pricing condition types as in invoices from table KONV ( VBRK-KNUMH=KONV-KNUMH ). In this way we have all the condition types for the invoices.... I have following questions :-
a) in the invoice pricing, I also need to have text elements and their values in our custom report. that is I need to fetch the word "gross price" and its value from line item pricing ( Both KWART and KWERT ).... I also need to have "profit margin" and its value ( both condition base and cond value ),
I also need to have any other description I have in invoice pricing and its value like "rebate basis" and its value etc...
what logic should I use to fetch the above description and their values ( both base value and final value as appearing in pricing screen of invoice line items ! )
b) KONV shows item wise records. Pricing is also stored at header level in invoices... which condition table is used to store header condition and the values ?

Custom Report for Pricing Conditions Master
Hi Everyone,
We know that Pricing Conditions Master Data is stored in KONH and KONP. If a condition is populated in a document then transactional data can be obtained from KONV with 'condition record number' as the foreign key.
The requirement is to design a custom report that lists for order items the pricing conditions (basic price) that are not populated in the sales orders. The pricing is not carried out in these orders as these are not chargeable orders, but the user wishes to know in an existing custom report the price from the conditon master data.
The idea is that the sales order has no pricing calculated but how much Sales Price the material has as per the price condition master record.This can be known by the custom report.
Visiting the standard prcing preports like V/LD is laborious for the user and wishes to add a column in an exisitng report of order item list for the price of each order item.
The challenge here is that in KONH there is no field for material exlusively. It gets stored as a text and hence fetching data from this table for a given material seems difficult. Let us remember that we are not refering to any sales order while accessing data from KONH or KONP.
Any thoughts / views on how this can be achieved are most welcome.

HemantYou will have to work on exact condition table in access sequence instead of KONH. For eg: If condition table in access sequence is 601 then you will have fetch the condition number KNUMH from table A601 (prefix A before the condition table number). With the KNUMH you can get the condition value from KONP.

Need Direction to Edit Custom Reports for Crystal 8.5
Hi,
I'm pretty new to crystal and I have the need to edit a few of our custom reports. I have a report called "Summary of Transactions by Dept". This pulls the data and then groups the information by dept. I want to have it pull the same data but with a minor tweak, I need to have it grouped by job.
I added the "Job" table and then I linked it to a "tran" table. I'm pretty sure I linked the tables correctly, I looked at how the "dept" table was linked and did the same.
I then changed the groups to group by "job description". When I try and refresh the data I get nothing. Can anyone explain why this happens?Thanks for your help guys... I figured out that I needed to "set the location" for the report. It needed to look at the database that the program was looking at. I appreciate the help.
I have a new problem I am trying to solve. I was able to create the custom report that I needed, but with one problem. The report is a Transaction summary by Job Description report. The issue is that the data being pulled for past transactions is using the current item pricing (past prices were less expensive). This is only a problem if the item existed at another price in the past. So when you total the item cost it shows up more expensive then it really was on some items.
Ex. Item123
On 05/01/2008 cost $4.00
Current pricing for the item is $5.00
When I run the report for 05/01/2008 - 05/31/2008, asssuming I used 2 pieces. The report generates a total cost of $10.00 (when it really only cost $8.00 because that was the cost at the time of issue.)
Any idea's? -

How to add a specific parameter in custom report

I have created a custom report in OIM 10g. I have three input parameters. startdate, enddate and resource object name,. With start date and end date the report is displaying correctly. when i add the resource object name as the third specific parameter is throwing the below exception

With OIMReports:
1- Including in XML files the parameters as section: Examples of InputParameter tags and ReturnColumns tag
2-And Creating a New Entry in the REP Table.

With BIPublisher(easiest way-license is needed):
Once you downloaded and install BIPub in your application server you will have access to all OIM report definitions.Then it is just a matter of learning how to change a report definition. It's very simple.
It has a 'desktop tool' that you can install in your desktop. This specifc tool provides an extension to MS Word(MACRO) and you can even work with Word to generate report templates.
Descriptions:
0- deploy BIPublisher and OIM reports to your apps server
1- Install the BIPublisher desktop tools in your desktop
2- Modify the report query using the BIPub interface and add your UDF fields
3- Run the report you want to modify from BIPub and export the generated data as XML
4- Download the report template in RTF format
5- With RTF file(open it) in your MS Word
6- Load the XML file you generated in step 4 in your MS Word
7- You could load this specif xml change what you want. (word will have a 'BI Publisher' menu with different operations you can do)
7- With Report template(save it).
8- Update the report template in the report definition(using the BIPub web interface
9- Run the report again
It means that front end page you need to edit this in Word page.

Custom report listing database links
I'm trying to determine what tables/views in the EM12c repository contain database link information (if any), so I can create a custom report using it. Has anyone come across an EM schema description or know how to determine what objects/queries are behind a page in EM? If the data isn't centralized in the EM schema, I recognize I could create a Group and run a query against DB_DB_LINKS to generate a link report for all the databases. Is that a better way to do it? I'm open to additional suggestions or tips, since I'm new to the custom reporting features ... (and not trying to reinvent the wheel here). Thanks.
There is no table in em repository database that contains db link information for database targets. The way to get this info is create a dblink in your em repository database for each database target then create plsql package that connect to each target over dblink and writes the info into a table in em repository table. You could also just create a sql job from em and run against each database target.
If you need help with the plsql let me know I have several of these in my em to extract specific data I need from each db target. -
Custom Report Syntax - Prompt for limiting collection
I'm building a customer report that will display maintenance windows for multiple devices. I'd like to be able to filter the number of devices reported by collection (as to not have EVERY device in the console listed all at once).
I've got the report working for everything except the filtering part. Do I need to add a new Dataset and then filter it somehow? Here's my only dataset so far:

Create a new dataset and paste in the following Query:

Expand Parameters in Report Builder, you should see a paramter called @CollID
Right-click CollID and fill in the following information on the general page:
Name: CollID
Prompt: Collection
On the Available Values select Get values from a query
Dataset: Dataset2 (the new dataset you just created)
value field: Name
Label field: Name
Design your layout in report builder and run the report. You will get a drop-down box with all your device collections.

Short dump in custom report in production

This is mainly program error and need corrections...
Compare the Patch level on both DEV and PRD server. Also make sure, whether program you are using on developement is modified (Corrected) or standard one.

I am facing problem in preparing functional specification for a customized report.The requirement details are given below
MC46 gives me a list of all items that have not got consumed since the last period (defined in terms of 'no of days' on the screen before executing the report) This report give a list of items that have shown nil consumption in the defined period. This list helps us analyze and categorize these items as Slow-moving or Non-Moving items. The output is in terms of Part no and Part Description.
Example; Suppose we are executing the transaction on say 29.09.2011.The system ,say give list of materials X1,X2 and X3 with nil consumption in the defined. The transactions suppose is again executed
on 29.10.2011.The report say again give a list of materials X1 and X3 with nil consumption. The material
X2 is excluded from the report as it might have been consumed in certain business processes(either issued to cost center or issued to production).
The client wants a report from where it is possible to determine a list of materials along with consumption
and the date on which the material have moved out of stock for consumption. In otherworldu2019s we can say the report should give :
stock on starting date(say 29.09.2011)
Consumption/movement in terms of date and quantity
The problem is that when the transaction MC46 is run the next time(say on 29.10.2011 or any day after
29.09.2011) there might be materials which might have got consumed in the interim period and therefore have got excluded from the latest list. We need to have a look at these interim materials to analyze their movement/consumption.MC 46 Report does not give details of openinf stock, closing stock and the purpose for which the stock have moved out of stock
The client wants a Z-Report which will give details about the material which have moved out of stock when the report will be executed ,opening stock,closing stock.The detail requirement are given below
The report will assist the client to get a list of all such items with reference to a starting date and their movement in the period (period from the starting date to the run date)

Material nos(Material which have moved out of stock when the program was last executed)

Manash DasIn MC46 we get a report on slow moving items.Suppose we have execute dthe report today(19.09.2011) and number of days we put on the selection screen say 400 days.The report will give list of materials say X1,X2 and X3 which have not moved for 400 days.
We again execute the report today say 19.10.2011.Now the report gives say list of materials X1 and X3 which have not moved for 400 days.Therefore from the period 19.09.2011 to 19.10.2010 X2 material have moved out from the list .The reason may be that it is issued to cost center or issued to production.
The user tried to use V look up to get the list of materials which have moved during period 19.09.2011 to 19.10.2010.The user informed that when he is saving the report in local file the texts are getting saved in text format in excel file and hence he is unable to apply VLOOK up.
Is there any Tcode in SAP from where i can get the list of missing material Or else can someone help me in preparing the functional specification

Is there anyone at all here who has successfully compiled and deployed an SSRS custom report item in VS2012? Is there a demo out there that actually works in VS2012? Is there anyone who has actually been able to compile and deploy that
apparently obsolete Polygons demo? (Pardon my impatience but I'm running a bit short of time here.)
After much hacking and googling I was able to get Polygons to compile but I still can't deploy it to the toolbox. ('The custom report item type PolygonsDesigner is not installed'). I've modified the RSReportDesigner.config
as instructed but I have no rssrvpolicy.config file on my local machine and
as yet I have no idea if that is necessary for local development.
In order to get it to compile I first added the reference C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.ReportingServices.ProcessingCore.dll to both projects.
To the PolygonsDesigner Project I also added the references:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Controls.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer.11.0.dll

What you need to do to get it working in VS2012 is add a reference to: Microsoft.ReportingServices.designer.11.0.dll to the PolygonsDesigner project and then add the following attribute to the PolygonsDesigner class: [ToolboxItem(typeof(Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Shell.CRIToolboxItem))]
I also removed the [System.CLSCompliant(false)] attribute.
You then recompile and place both dlls in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies directory and the PolygonsDesigner.dll into the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin
or what ever is you reporting services path.
You also need to change the Microsoft example for the rereportserver.config file to:

Custom report with FAGLFLEXA and "Document type"
We have new GL and we must do a custom report like this:
Hierarchy of ProfitCentre ______Credit for mm.yyyy___ Debit for mm.yyyy
Profit centre 1_____________________ c1_______________d1
Profit centre 2_____________________ c2_______________d2
ect. ....
The value of c1 is the sum of monthly credit for a profit centre, for a group of accounts, but only for certain "document type".
The "Document type" is what worries me.
I have already written a similar report with Report Painter, reading data from the table FAGLFLEXT (0FL library), but took the full credit from the account (for all "document type"), without restrictions on the document type (the table FAGLFLEXT not contain the field "document type").
The data I need in my report, I can see with T. FAGLB03. Double-clicking on, for example, the value of credit you go into detail, and data can be selected for different "Document type". I still do not understand how it works and which tables use the T. FAGLB03 to have these data in detail.
Please, help me what exactly to do?My questions are these?
My principals questions are these:
1 . I think, inevitably, i have to link two tables: FAGLFLEXA (the one with the given to him) and GKFP that contains the field BLART (Document Type). This is the right way? Is there another way?
2 This report can be create with one of SAP tools: Report Painter, SAP Query, ... or the only solution is to write a program in ABAP?
3. If i'm not asking too much, you could give me a step-by-step description of how i should proceed?

Custom Report Items in VS2010 or VS2012 ? Does it work
Does anyone know if Custom Report Items actually work in either VS2010 or VS2012.
I have taken the 2008R2 Polygons sample and compiled it using VS2010 and VS2012 and neither actually work in either version.
There are no assembly linking errors, but the compiled dlls either can't be added to the toolbox in VS2012 or can't load the type in VS2010.
I have tried everything and was interested if Microsoft had been able to get it working them selves.
My next step is to write my own, but was wondering if it actually works before I try.
