Print Condition of a margin object

hi,,
i want to set the 'Print object on' to Last Page' of oa margin object.
Actually i want to duplicate a report field for (F_1_Emp_name), on margin just besides page number field
and that duplicate field (F_1_Emp_name1),should be only on the last page.
For this, i have created a formula 'CF_1_Name1' outside all the queries groups.
i added a feild 'F_1_Emp_name1' on my report layout inside margin and set its Print object proprty to 'Last Page'.
but it gives error - 'F_1_Emp_name1 has an Illegal print condition'
Kindly suggest. TY

I don't know if there is an easier solution than this one, but I don't think so. The problem is that the total number of pages is know after formatting. There is a Total pages as a source for a field, but this can't be used in a program unit.
1. Create a dummy query, like
select 1  dummy
from dual2. Create a package spec:
PACKAGE pkg_globals IS
  totalPages number(3);
END;2. Create a repeating frame and field for this dummy at the end of the report layout.
3. Create a format trigger for this frame:
function R_1FormatTrigger return boolean is
begin
  SRW.GET_PAGE_NUM(pkg_globals.totalPages);
  return (FALSE);
end;4. Create a format trigger for your margin field:
function F_1FormatTrigger return boolean is
  pagenum   number;
begin
  srw.get_page_num(pagenum);
  if pagenum = pkg_globals.totalPages then
    return (TRUE);
  else
    return (false);
  end if;
end;

  • REP-1216 Illegal Print Condition Error

    I have a report in which i'm trying to add a link which will enable the user to download the report in Excel format. I've added a boilerplate object, which contains the link saying "click here to download", and have written a format trigger that runs behind this to take care of the download process.
    When I try to run my report, I'm getting REP-1216 error saying "M_G_Frame" (frame that contains my boilerplate object) has an illegal print condition.
    I'm a Reports newbie and am not sure I understand what the error means, and what kind of changes I need to make to eliminate the error.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    in the properties of the frame there is one where you define, when the frame is printed. in most cases this should be "First page" or "All pages" (i also always have to try out).
    hope this helps

  • How do I select to print a document without margins?

    How do I select to print a document without margins?

    fieldhockey,
    The printer driver is the software that drives the printer.
    You can File>Print Setup, then select the printer (driver) by its name in the dropdown list. Note that there may be different drivers for one and the same printer (such as PostScript and non PostScript, borderless and non borderless).
    Choosing a borderless printer (driver) the printable area should be identical to the Artboard (with no dotted line inside to show the boundary between printable area and paper edge).

    Dear all,
    Does anyone know what is the table that actually stored the information with the printing condition record number field (KNUMH) in the table B072?

    Hi,
    This is nothing to do with the purchasing document. I'm searching for the condition record number in the B072 table (this table is storing the printing information) and I need to find out where this record link to which particular table.
    Thank you.

    You didn't mention any color calibration being done on your monitor.  This is an essential part of any color-correct workflow.  What are you using to calibrate your monitor (and your printer)?
    Print profiles (for soft-proofing as well as printing) are for specific combinations of paper & printer.  The nine you have are each, most likely, for a common paper (perhaps mfr'd by Canon) to be used with your printer.
    I don't know what you mean when you say "I choose a high standard print option".
    Have you read the User Manual chapter on printing?

    There is also a good appendix on calibration:

  • SAP Script: Include text in MAIN window prints outside MAIN window margins

    Hi,
    We're facing a peculiar issue. We call a text element in the MAIN window of an SAP Script form using FM WRITE_FORM.
    The element has 2 includes.
    The problem is that when the content of any of the 2 includes is large enough, the include text prints overflows outside the MAIN window margins on the first page and into the area of the footer window of the same page. It does not automatically flow to the next page MAIN window.
    We have checked that the MAIN window and FOOTER window margins do not overlap. Infact they are quite far from each other.
    We have tried stuff like using a forced PROTECT, change the para format etc, but nothing solves the problem.
    Does anyone have any idea?

    You do not need to use the subroutine READ_ORDER_TEXT to get another text name because you already have it: TMP_TXNAM2 .
    Pass this value back to your SAPscript, and it is okay.
    Or you can even check the text object is empty or not, if no text is found, print 2 empty lines:
    still use your subroutine to read the text, if no line is found, set TMP_TXNAM2  to empty, otherwise, no change,
    In SAPscript, check the value is empty or not, then print 2 empty line or the text object...

  • PDF settings for unknown printing conditions

    I create material such as flyers, that are sent out to various recipients as PDF. They print these PDFs on whatever printer they have access to, mostly good quality office lasers, but also inkjets; none of these PDFs are headed for offset press.
    Now I want to ensure reasonably good colour fidelity under these uncertain conditions. I let ID output RGB composite in the sRGB colour space, the document is created in RGB, too. By using sRGB and leaving the CMYK conversion to the printer, I'm hoping to get the least surprises and testing in my office and with printers in the neighbourhood seems to confirm that.
    Does that sound like a good strategy?

    Actually, forcing all content to sRGB on PDF export is an exceptionally bad idea. Our strongest recommendation at Adobe is to use the PDF/X-4 PDF export settings such that all content is appropriately color managed, RGB content isn't prematurely converted to CMYK, and transparency is maintained as “live.” When you print from Adobe Reader / Adobe Acrobat versions 9 or greater, output from these PDF/X-4 files will be optimal compared to the mess you would have from a file in which all objects are forced to sRGB.
    Converting all content to sRGB on PDF export kills the available gamut for RGB imagery that is natively Adobe RGB or any other wide gamut RGB space. It also leads to your black and gray text and vector objects being converted to an RGB gray (R=G=B) which often will print out as rich black, i.e., something other than CMYK=(0,0,0,k). Pure CMYK cyan, magenta, and yellow will print polluted. And you also find transparency flattening artifacts that occur due to use of an RGB transparency blending space.
    By the way, in terms of “desktop printers,” except for photo printers which often have a few extra colorants, all printers are basically CMYK. For PostScript printers, printing PDF files from Adobe Reader / Adobe Acrobat yields CMYK only to those printers when default settings are used; RGB, LAB, and spot color content is appropriately converted to the target CMYK color space using Adobe's ICC-based color managment with profiles found in the PDF file. For non-PostScript devices that have drivers that only understand RGB, content is converted to RGB by Reader/Acrobat likewise using the profiles provided.
    Bottom line is that you shouldn't prematurely convert any color spaces whether to RGB or CMYK!

  • Dead space showing up in print preview; can't place objects in it

    hi -- Somehow, I've managed to get what I'll call a "dead space" in between my last page footer and my report footer. The design view looks completely normal: page footer A, page footer B, and report footer. None are suppressed.
    However, when I go to the print preview, what I have is: page footer A, page footer B, a dead space, and then the report footer. The dead space looks like a section, in that the far left of the preview shows lines (like section dividers) both above and below the dead space. However, when I right click on the dead space, I don't get a Section Menu; I also don't get a section name when the mouse hovers over that dead space.  I can't place objects in the dead space.
    It wouldn't be a huge deal except for the fact that the report is long enough that the dead space causes it to overflow onto a second page, which isn't acceptable.
    How can I get rid of this thing? I really don't want to recreate the report. It's quite complex.
    Thanks,
    Carol

    Hi Carol,
    That's interesting.  I've never heard of this rogue spacing issue.
    Why don't you try insertting the following in the Page Footer B Suppress formula.
    Not OnLastRecord
    Maybe that will help.

    as of now i am restricting with in smartform code(global-initilization)which  leads to blank page printing for some customers with in the selected range(becuase i am deleting customer internal table based on conditions) so can any one please sugget how to restrict customers before smartform call.
    Thank you.

    Convert program into Z-Program and write a code before calling smartform.

  • Is there a way to print a mstr list of object names/descriptions?

    I am new to SAP so I apologize if this is an entry level question. I would like to print out a master list of some of our objects and their corresponding descriptions that are defined in Integration Directory. For example, I would like to list all of the Business Systems defined under  "Service Without Party" and their description value. I would also like to list all of the communication channels for a given range of scenarios and their corresponding descriptions as well.
    I come from a Peoplesoft background and there we would be able to query the system tables that hold each objects definitions, format the results and output it to a flat file. Is there a way to query the system tables to do this? If so, how do I determine which tables house the information I need?
    Just curious if there is a better method than opening up each object and cutting/pasting the information into a spreadsheet.
    Thanks in advance for any help or comments.

    You may try to use Integration Directory API and call business system related web-service from any client application. I hope you can read the descriptions as well.

  • How to print the properties in an object

    I have the following method that is meant to print all the details in a hashmap (allStudents). this hashmap contains references to objects of different students.
    what i need is to be able to print each object stored in allStudents, and each of those objects properties....
    Please show me the light!!!

    So when I overide the toString method, and then call
    another method that prints out the contents of the
    objects held a Map, the toString formatted text is
    used? If so.. how does that work?For objects (as opposed to primitives), System.out.println() calls the toString method.

  • Duplex Printing in MS Powerpoint - Margins Aren't Aligned

    I solved my own problem, but now can't figure out how to delete this post.    So, please ignore.
    I have the HP Photosmart Premium, running Win XP.
    I created a document in MS Powerpoint 2010 that is two sided, with four copies per page.  (There are four rectangles per page, both front and back)
    On screen, all is aligned and looks perfect.  When I print, using the "use two sided printing" feature, the document isn't aligned from front to back.  The front has proper margins but the back is off by about 1/4" too far to the left.  I can't figure out how to align this and believe it's something to do with the printer since it looks exactly right in Powerpoint.
    Any tips you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!
