Print message in function name not present

I have to execute a function from a table . It is like
cursor c1 is select fun_name from config_Table loop
v_format_sql := 'select '||c1.fun_name|| ' from dual ';
execute immediate v_format_sql into format_count;
end loop;
But if the function in the config_Table is not there or the function name is wrong it exits from the program
Please help me to print the text "function name wrong" if the function name does not exists in the database.

Hi,
You can do it like this:
SELECT COUNT(*) INTO v_func_count FROM user_objects
WHERE OBJECT_TYPE='FUNCTION' AND STATUS='VALID'
AND object_name = TO_UPPER(c1.fun_name);
IF v_func_count = 0 THEN
-- Function does not exist or not in valid state.
END IF;

    I have tried several times to install iTunes update 11.1.4 on my PC.  I get a message saying that install was not successful and an error message of MSVCR80.dll not present, Error 7, (Windows error 126).  I am told to reinstall iTunes, but nothing changes.  What next?  I've not had this problem with other updates requested by Apple.

    I have also had the same problem with my Win 7 32 bit computer.  I had great help from Apple techs in Montreal and Orlando for 2.5 hours.  They helped me remove every trace of Apple products and clean the registry in two different ways.  Each install gave the same problem!  If Apple techs can't fix it (on some of our machines) then we are really in trouble.  They promised to raise it with the "engineers" and get back to me with a solution.  I am waiting and hoping.  Otherwise maybe version 11.1.5 will have a fix ??

    Thanks for these suggestions: I have tried safe mode re-starts (both "verbose" and simple "shift" + power) to no avail.  I get the error message "disk0s2: media is not present".  Following this I inserted the installation disc and from there ran disc utility.  The "Verify Disk" indicated an error " invalid sibling link" which it could not repair.
    I also tried to completely re-format/erase the disk, but again got an error message "disk object invalid or unable to serialize".
    Any ideas of what could be causing this or the best solution?  I fear I am fast running out of options.

  • Printer message "paper out or not loaded correctly"

    I have an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 printer and iMac that that worked flawlwssly until the last Mountain Lion upgrade.  Now it will not recognize paper that is loaded correctly.  Clicking on printer utility gives an error and states a message is being sent to Apple.  The printer driver is the latest version 8.64.  The same version driver and printer work on an older imac with Snow Leopard.  This software cannot load on the newer iMac as the identity of the app maker cannot be verified!   Has anyone had this problem and found a work around solution?

  • Message control tab is not present in partner profile

    Hi experts,
    I have a requirement where I need to add a new segment to a custom idoc . I am doing this according to the following steps:-
    1. In WE31, I have created a new segment and released it.
    2. In WE30, I have added the new segment to the idoc and released it.
    3. In WE82, I have assigned the Message type to the custom idoc type. Though this is a custom idoc, I am using a standard message type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M.
    4. In WE41, I have created a new process code ZBUPA and assigned the message type to it.Also I have created a custom function module for outbound processing Z_IDOC_OUTPUT_CRMXIF_PARTNER_S.
    5. In WE20, I have created a partner profile and assigned the message type and the basic idoc type in the Outbound parameters tab.
    However, I am not getting the 'Message Control' tab from where I can assign the application type to the process code.
    For this Idoc, the sender system is CRM and the receiver is XI. Also I am working in CRM6.0 environment.
    Please let me know how to go about this.
    Thanks,
    Samrat.

    Hi,
    I have looked into your query. As far as i know you will define the process code for Inbound Parameters only. For Outbound parameters you will define only the Reciever port in which the process code is set.
    I believe you do not have to set Process code for the outbound registration.
    You have to register in the site which acts as the target destination for e.g. as APLI (Individual IDOC processing)
    I hope this helps.

    Venkat

  • Schema name not present on filename for "Save Package Spec and Body"

    In versions previous to 3.0 EA, the filename defaulted to schema.object.sql when using the "Save Package Spec and Body" on the right click of the package/body. This appears to have disappeared. Also, it now defaults to the .PLS ext/type, which I prefer to save them as .SQL (which i can override, but it would be nice in the file type dropdown). Also, I had posted a suggestion about the actual file not including the schema name prefixing the object name when using the "Save Package Spec and Body". i.e. it does create or replace package reader_package instead of what it should be doing which is create or replace package schema.reader_package

    Would be nice indeed having the real name as default, and all supported PL/SQL types (as in the preferences) in the extensions dropdown.
    As for the schema name inside, I reckon that would do damage for more users than it would do good for others. But a preference would be best of course.

  • Changing ODBC Connection results in Field Name not found error

    Post Author: POH
    CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    I am using CR XI with mySQL 5.0 and VB6. The computer I use to to design my reports has a odbc dsn which is used to develop the reports. On the production computer the same odbc dsn is present but has a different server, database, user and password entries. I am using the code below to set the connection and test the database.    For Each objDatabaseTable In objDatabaseTables        objDatabaseTable.SetLogOnInfo "servername", "dbname", "user", "pw"        objDatabaseTable.ConnectionProperties("UseDSNproperties") = True    Next crxDatabaseTable    crxDatabase.Verify No Error is given and the report in this case does not have any sub reports.Now when the command ViewReport is run the CR viewer is shown but the report is not displayed. The viewer shows the error "Filed Name not found". I do not have any formel fields in the report and I have checked to make sur that both databases have the same structure. Can any body help me. Did you add a System DSN or a User DSN? If you added a User DSN from your own login, the asp.net application will not be able to use it unless its application Pool in IIS is configured to run under the same credentials that you used for creating
    the DSN. It's better if you add a System DSN.
    Also, be careful to ensure that you are using a 64 bit DSN, unless you configure the application to run in 32 bits. If the 64 bit application attempts to use the 32 bit driver you get the same error message "Data source name not found and no default
    driver specified". See this KB article:

  • What does 'init functions are not allowed in this objset' mean and how can it be fixed?

    We have added some init functions to the beginning of the obj.conf file so that we can proxy off to Weblogic.
    However when we try to run the Web server we get an error message 'init functions are not allowed in this objset'.
    The syntax seems to be correct. Has anyone any idea how this can be fixed?

    You are probably using iPlanet Web Server 6.0 or higher; starting with 6.0, the web server does not allow Init directives to appear on the obj.conf file. Instead, place your Init directives in the magnus.conf file.
    This is documented in the Installation and Migration Guide at http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/50/ig/migrate.htm#20780 in the Programmer's Guide at http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/50/pg/1-intro.htm#13565 and in the NSAPI Programmer's Guide at http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/50/nsapi/02_objcn.htm#13097
