Print page order

All of a sudden, whenever I print a job, the document prints in reverse order—last pages first. Sometimes, the first page doesn't print. This is across an Airport Extreme-based home network. Are there any settings to correct this?

    I've got a 20 page newsletter, each page A4, all created in InDesign CS3 [nice and simple]. I want to print the document in print page order [as appose to actual page order] on our printer here at work, because it's clever and can fold and staple to create a book/newsletter etc! In InDesign, I can obviously use the 'print booklet' option to do just this, and it works great; all my pages are printed in the correct order, I can also choose to print 2-sided, all lovely. But I was wondering if there is an option somewhere to be able to save my InDesign doc as a PDF in print page order [front with back, page 2 with 19 etc] - as printing a PDF of my artwork seems to solve a problem i was having in the thread I posted up yesterday.

    This is called "imposition". Does your OS and InDesign version come with the "Print as Booklet" option?
    If not, you can enter this range into the page number "Range" box on exporting:
    20,1,2,19,18,3,4,17,16,5,6,15,14,7,8,13,12,9-11
    (Typed from memory; -- please check)
    If I then print this PDF to my HP with the options "double sided" and "2 pages per sheet", it comes out exactly the way it should.
    (Waiting for the printer ... hold on.)

  • Printing page order options: meanings? differences?

    In the print dialog box, under page order, there are 3 options.
    Automatic (default)
    Normal
    Reverse
    What is the meaning of Automatic?
    If I am doing double sided large document printing on a non duplex printer I would first print the odd numbered pages in the Normal page order.
    Next with the odd page stack back in the paper tray I would print the even pages in the Reverse order. This works for an even number of total pages, but not for an odd number of total pages, page 2 would end up on the back of page 3, not back of page one.
    Will the Automatic page order option solve this problem by automatically inserting a blank page as the first page of the even side page printing when the total page count is odd?
    Does this Q make any sense?

    The "Automatic(default)" refers to what is specified in the printer's PPD file. That may be either page 1 first (usually Normal) or page 1 last (usually Reverse). It may vary from printer to printer or from driver to driver. For example, my Epson Stylus Photo 1280 will print page 1 first when I use the Epson drivers when I use Automatic. If I use the Gutenprint drivers, it will print the last page first if I use Automatic.
    If you are doing a lot of manual duplex printing, you might want to take a look at CocoaBooklet _http://www.iconus.ch/fabien/products/cbeng/cbeng.html_. It can simplify matters greatly.

  • All the Pages are Printed - Document Printing Sales Orders

    When using the Document Printing option for Sales Orders, if I select multiple documents and select print I get a message after each document that says "All the Pages are Printed", then the next document comes for printing. I also get a prompt each time whether or not to print Sales Order only or Sales Order and Pick List.
    I don't have the same issue if printing Invoices from Document Printing. It asks what to print and prints all records without additional prompts between each record. I don't see anything in Print Preferences that would cause the Order to act differently from the Invoice.
    We are using B1 9.0 PL 06.

  • Universal printing PCL5 & HP Laserjet 700 Color - wrong page order

    I recently installed an HP Laserjet Color 700 MFP in our network (around 20 PC workstations running Windows 7 professional & HP UPD PCL5)
    From one of the stations, each print job sent has a reversed page order - only setting the printer properties to "reverse" results in the correct page order.
    Ist this some known problem?

  • Printing pages in reverse order as a default for Mac os 10.6.3

    Help!
    Not sure what happened ...
    I'm trying to print document from all applications and as a default the driver is printing pages (E.G 20page doc)
    with page 1 first and the 2 on top, then 3 etc (pages face up as is ink jet fashion...) finally with page 20 on top ...
    No good, not what I want!
    I do know that I can open the Word print dialog box which does contain a setting Copies & Pages/Page Handling/Page Order with the options "automatic, normal, reverse" but every time I go into a new doc I have to do this every time.
    How do I set this as the default?
    Maybe this is not an Apple issue? I'm using an Epson TX810FW ...may have to take it up with them ...?
    Any help would be most gratefully appreciated!!

    Set it up how you want it and then save it as a preset. You will probably find that once you've used it the print driver will default to it on subsequent printings.

  • Page Order Not Availiable on 8630 Printer

    I use Quickbooks to print checks and i recently purchased this printer to print checks from one drawer while other programs print from plain paper drawer.  Most of the settings were easy to set up.  The checks purchased come in order so it only makes sense that the printed side will be facing up and the printer usually prints on the other side.  This is usually fixed by a setting called page order under the layout tab in printing preferences.  This option does exist under fax options but not under print options.  I noticed there are a few closed forums that never got to the bottom of this.  Will there be a fix or should i return this printer and stick with my 8600?  I have installed the latest drivers from the website.

    Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! Well after some research, the page option is not there to change the page order. It looks like they took the option away in Version 32 of the software. I have no explanation for you as to why this was removed.
    I am not sure if there will be a fix for this or if the Page order is something that will no longer be an option. You could always try and use an alternate driver, but you may lose some other features. Take a look here:  How to Assign Alternate Print Drivers in Different Versions of Windows.

  • XSL-FO for Standard Purchase Order, doesn't print page number

    I worked on XSL-FO code to custom the PDF output for Standard PO. Everything works great: I added company logo (in a different position of the standard commented code <!-- Too easy just to uncomment... :-)--> ), i created new attribute sets to highlight some elements on the print, I added a footer with company details and document type and number (instead of placing this in the header, the costumer didn't like it where it was..)
    OK. BUT: the page number at the bottom on the right isn't printed anymore. For example: if the PO page is n.1 of 2 pages, it comes only '12' and not Page 1 of 2. So i tought not to use the original template (tihs one)

    Hi Michele:
    I can check out for you how to print page number in XSL-FO (There is an O'Reilly) book, but I think I help you better by recommending a different strategy - Don't write XSL-FO stylesheets. While Purchasing does not support RTF templates you can still write RTF templates and convert them to FO using the XML Publisher Template Builder for Word.
    Download the matching Template Builder for Word (5.0) or XML Publisher Desktop 5.5 (includes the Template Builder) patch and then Create your template as an RTF template.
    You can then EXPORT the template as XSL-FO stylesheet and upload as to Purchasing AS LONG AS THE VERSION OF THE DESKTOP and E-Businees Suite XML Publisher MATCH.
    If you still want to write XSL stylesheet, you can just use the Template Builder to generate you the code and paste the code (e.g. for page numbers) into your stylesheet.
    By the way - Purchasing will support RTF templates in future versions...

  • How to turn a doc designed for spread  into a page ordered pdf?

    I am a relative InDesign newbie, so please excuse my ignorance. I have document of installation instructions that is printed on a single double-sided piece of paper, which is then folded. So in InDesign, there are two layout spreads. The first one includes actual pages 2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9. The second one includes 10,11,12,13,14,15,16, and 1.
    After updating this I want to create both a spread version of the pdf for a printer, plus a regular page ordered pdf for web viewing. I am not clear on how to do this.
    I am using CS5.

    There are two "pages". Not sure how they are referred to in InDesign, but when you look at the InDesign doc, you see two separate "pages", each one divided into 8 sections. There is also a third "page" which includes all the specs for the printer (it is in the spread version of the pdf, but is not printed and not included in the web version of the pdf).

  • How do I reset my HP photosmart all-in-one B210a to print page 1 first?

    My printer is apparently all set up, but I want to change the print sequence from reverse order to starting at page 1. I have the latest HP software installed, but there is no where I can see of changing the sequence. I have been in to System Preferences/Printers and whilst it brings up my printer I can not carry out any changes to its' default sequence of operation.
    Is there a screen that I can get open that will allow me to set orientation and to print in normal order? I can do it an application, but that is a pain because If I want to print something off the Internet and there are more pages than two, it will print page 2 first. The knock on effect is that sometimes I want to print double sided and the only way to do this sensibly is to do each page individually then re-feed the page and do the next page. This afternoon, I did that, printed page 1, then printed pages 2 and 3, and ended up with page 3 on the back of page 1 because it printed in reverse order!

    Thanks for that. Yes I did see that in my chasing around, but it would be nice to have it the other way round as a default. I understand why it is done that way, but I rarely, these days, have large documents to print and the right way round would be useful! Particularly when occasionally, as I say above, I want to double side print which the HP doesn't do as a norm! C'est la vie!!

  • Print purchase Order

    Hi All,
    We have an issue when printing purchase orders.
    When the purchas eorder goes on to two page we get a blank page inbetween.
    Does anyone know what could be causing this?
    The SAP Script looks OK so I imagine that it must be a setting in config somewhere?

    Hi,
    It is the issue related to the Form layout..
    Are you using the SAP STD Driver program and Form Layout.
    If yes..you will not get such issue.
    If you are using Custom Form,please check with your ABAP developer..

  • Reverse page order in pdf?

    Is there a easy / cheap tool or method to reverse the page order for a multi-page .pdf document?
    I think something like Adobe Writer might do it, but I don't need to do this very often, and was hoping to find a cheaper way, or shareware product...
    I can manually rearrange the pages in something like PDFLab, but this can be time-consuming for larger documents...
    My printer lets me print in reverse page order, but I can't seem to make it print to .pdf in reverse order?
    Any ideas!?
