    If you don't have anything installed that can view/print words files (or the correct entries are missing in the registry), then it won't work, of course.

  • SSRS Reports level how to find out All tables names & columns list to display dynamically SQL Query????

    Hi Team,
    I Have one requirement,In SSRS Reporsitory 3000 reports are available.
    My end user requirement All 3000 reports are used Table names & columns list of each wise to display single table or single result set.
    I find out all 3000 reports details are diplayed single results set like
    Report Id,Path,Dataset,Source Query Text,Datasource
    In Source Query Text  column level All reports Queries are available but I want Each Report wise Table name & columns List.If any solution Please share me.
    Regards
    Rama

    Hi Ramakoteswara,
    According your description, you want to show used tables and columns of each report, and display is into a single result set. Right?
    In this scenario, we don't know where to find a column contains the Source Query Text. With my understanding, in Reporting Services, we have Catalog table in ReportServer DataBase, it has a column called Content stores the report code (.xml). In the
    code we can find the Query and Fields. Then you need to use VB/C# code to parse each .xml code of each report and fetch out the table name and columns. We do not support writing any queries against SSRS DataBase or parsing data records in any
    table.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Embed a font in a PDF(generated by Word 2013) using Adobe Acrobat XI

    Hi all,
    I wrote my thesis in Word 2013 using the LaTex font "LM Roman 12" that is an Open Type font not restricted (it results "Editable").
    Although it is marked as opentype, word doesn't embed it into the exported pdf and I guess that is becouse the font is identified as Type1.
    I more or less solved the problem printing the word file using Adobe PDF Printer or converting it with Abobe Acrobat XI, but I'd like to use the pdf generated by word becouse auto-creates index, links index items to contents and doesn't resize/alter the images inside the document.
    The screenshot above is the properties of the pdf generated from word.
    Is there a simple way to force the embedding in this pdf of the missing not embedded fonts?

    Word 2013 uses its own pdf creator engine as far as I know. The step I performed were:
    1 - In the save settings I told word to embed fonts (sorry for the language, I have the Italian client)
    2 - Export from Word -> Save As -> .pdf adding also the table of contents/index
    N.B. I cannot use PDF/A, and in any case it doesn't embed the font
    A working solution is to use Acrobat XI to convert it or print with Adobe PDF printer, results:
    The problems are 2:
    1 - It doesn't create any bookmark and doesn't create links from the table of images to the linked images
    2 - Images, also with the preset "High Quality Printing" customized using "No compression", are really ugly and if you zoom a bit more than 100% they totally be s**t. It wasn't that way with PDF created by word.
    In the end, or I find they way to open the pdf created by word and embedd the missing font, or I find a way to make Acrobat XI creating bookmarks from the word file.
    Suggestion?

  • Print 4 -40 name columns in AW DR program

    I have 4 columns of names(40 each) that I want to print in the drawing portion of AW. I'm using the DR part because I can get all 4 columns across a 11" page by rotateing each column 90 deg. Everything works just fine except the 1st column only prints about 2/3 of the column. I've checked for hidden ch. and found none. I've moved the column up or down but still does the same thing.
    The names are all there on the screen (39 names) but only 29 print. That is in the first column all the rest are OK.
    At my wits end don't know how to correct this any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Also am using AW 6.2.6, OS10.2.8, Epson stylus CX6600 all-in-one

    I guess that I didn't make myself clear enough. I can't use the WP part if AW cause when you make columns there they go down the whole page and I need to use thebottom 1/3 of page for something else, different size boxes with information in them and the drawing part works out the best so far.
    You could format the whole document (or the section—including the bottoms of the pages—where you want to use for columns on the top third and different size boxes on the bottom) to four columns, then use Text frames to hold the material on the bottom of each page. Frames can be placed on the page without regard to column boundaries.
    To place a Text frame in a WP document, press and hold the Option key, then drag the frame. This type of frame will hold the width you drag, and will expand vertically as you add text. It will disappear if it contains no text. To fix both width and height of the frame (and keep it on the page even when empty), use the Options menu to apply Frame Links to the frame.
    When entering text into the columns, follow BF's suggestion and use a column break (ie. press Enter—not Return—) after the last entry in the column.
    A second method would be to use a one row by four column Table on each page to hold the column material, then use Text frames (or a second Table) on the bottom third of the page for the other material.

    Barry

  • Unable to turn column headers bold in Word table using VB Script

    I have created a table in Microsoft Word 2010 using VB Script (this is via the script engine that forms part of HP Quality Centre functionality).  The table itself is OK, 2 columns with centred headers.  However, I am unable to make the column
    headers bold.  I have spent hours searching the net and trying various options to no avail can somebody please help me.
    Set objWord = CreateObject("Word.Application")
    Set objDocument = objword.Documents.Open(Src_Dir & template_file
    Const wdAlignParagraphCenter = 1'var to control justification of the table columns
    Const NUMBER_OF_ROWS = 1 'number of rows in intial table
    Const NUMBER_OF_COLUMNS = 2 'number of colums in the intitial table
    'search for the "TAA_TABLE" bookmark embedded in the document template, this is where the table will be created
    Set objRange=objDocument.Bookmarks("TAA_TABLE").Range
    'create the table
    objDocument.Tables.Add objRange, NUMBER_OF_ROWS, NUMBER_OF_COLUMNS
    Set objTable = objDocument.Tables(2)
    'populate column headers
    objTable.Cell(1, 1).Range.Font.Bold = True
    objTable.Cell(1, 1).Range.Text = "Sub Contractor"
    objTable.Cell(1, 2).Range.text = "TAA Number"
    'centre the column headers
    objDocument.Tables(2).Rows(1).Select
    Set objSelection = objWord.Selection
    objSelection.ParagraphFormat.Alignment = wdAlignParagraphCenter
    'format the table with plain grid lines
    objTable.AutoFormat(16)
    'set the column widths
    objTable.Columns(1).Setwidth 230,0
    objTable.Columns(2).Setwidth 230,0
    Any help is graetfully appreciated, as this is driving me wild.
    Cheers,

    Hi Citronax,
    I haved noticed that you used objTable.AutoFormat to format the table. Based on my understanding, this fuction will applie a predefined look to a table.
    After I move the code which bolder the text behind this line of code, it works well for me.
    'format the table with plain grid lines
    objTable.AutoFormat (16)
    objTable.Cell(1, 1).Range.Font.Bold = True

  • XML Schema Collection (SQL Server 2012): How to create an XML Schema Collection that can be used to Validate a field name (column title) of an existing dbo Table of a Database in SSMS2012?

    Hi all,
    I used the following code to create a new Database (ScottChangDB) and a new Table (marvel) in my SQL Server 2012 Management Studio (SSMS2012) successfully:
    -- ScottChangDB.sql saved in C://Documents/SQL Server XQuery_MacLochlainns Weblog_code
    -- 14 April 2015 09:15 AM
    USE master
    IF EXISTS
    (SELECT 1
    FROM sys.databases
    WHERE name = 'ScottChangDB')
    DROP DATABASE ScottChangDB
    GO
    CREATE DATABASE ScottChangDB
    GO
    USE ScottChangDB
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[marvel] (
    [avenger_name] [char] (30) NULL, [ID] INT NULL)
    INSERT INTO marvel
    (avenger_name,ID)
    VALUES
    ('Hulk', 1),
    ('Iron Man', 2),
    ('Black Widow', 3),
    ('Thor', 4),
    ('Captain America', 5),
    ('Hawkeye', 6),
    ('Winter Soldier', 7),
    ('Iron Patriot', 8);
    SELECT avenger_name FROM marvel ORDER BY ID For XML PATH('')
    DECLARE @x XML
    SELECT @x=(SELECT avenger_name FROM marvel ORDER BY ID FOR XML PATH('Marvel'))--,ROOT('root'))
    SELECT
    person.value('Marvel[4]', 'varchar(100)') AS NAME
    FROM @x.nodes('.') AS Tbl(person)
    ORDER BY NAME DESC
    --Or if you want the completed element
    SELECT @x.query('/Marvel[4]/avenger_name')
    DROP TABLE [marvel]
    Now I am trying to create my first XML Schema Collection to do the Validation on the Field Name (Column Title) of the "marvel" Table. I have studied Chapter 4 XML SCHEMA COLLECTIONS of the book "Pro SQL Server 2008 XML" written by
    Michael Coles (published by Apress) and some beginning pages of XQuery Language Reference, SQL Server 2012 Books ONline (published by Microsoft). I mimicked  Coles' Listing 04-05 and I wanted to execute the following first-drafted sql in
    my SSMS2012:
    -- Reference [Scott Chang modified Listing04-05.sql of Pro SQL Server 2008 XML by Michael Coles (Apress)]
    -- [shcColes04-05.sql saved in C:\\Documents\XML_SQL_Server2008_code_Coles_Apress]
    -- [executed: 2 April 2015 15:04 PM]
    -- shcXMLschemaTableValidate1.sql in ScottChangDB of SQL Server 2012 Management Studio (SSMS2012)
    -- saved in C:\Documents\XQuery-SQLServer2012
    tried to run: 15 April 2015 ??? AM
    USE ScottChangDB;
    GO
    CREATE XML SCHEMA COLLECTION dbo. ComplexTestSchemaCollection_all
    AS
    N'<?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <xsd:element name="marvel">
    <xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:all>
    <xsd:element name="avenger_name" />
    <xsd:element name="ID" />
    </xsd:all>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:schema>';
    GO
    DECLARE @x XML (dbo. ComplexTestSchemaCollection_all);
    SET @x = N'<?xml version="1.0"?>
    <marvel>
    <avenger_name>Thor</name>
    <ID>4</ID>
    </marvel>';
    SELECT @x;
    GO
    DROP XML SCHEMA COLLECTION dbo.ComplexTestSchemaCollection_all;
    GO
    I feel that drafted sql is very shaky and it needs the SQL Server XML experts to modify to make it work for me. Please kindly help, exam the coding of my shcXMLTableValidate1.sql and modify it to work.
    Thanks in advance,
    Scott Chang

    Hi Scott,
    2) Yes, FOR XML PATH clause converts relational data to XML format with a specific structure for the "marvel" Table. Regarding validate all the avenger_names, please see below
    sample.
    DECLARE @x XML
    SELECT @x=(SELECT ID ,avenger_name FROM marvel FOR XML PATH('Marvel'))
    SELECT @x
    SELECT
    n.value('avenger_name[1]','VARCHAR(99)') avenger_name,
    n.value('ID[1]','INT') ID
    FROM @x.nodes('//Marvel') Tab(n)
    WHERE n.value('ID[1]','INT') = 1 -- specify the ID here
    --FOR XML PATH('Marvel')  --uncommented this line if you want the result as element type
    3)i.check the xml schema content
    --find xml schema collection
    SELECT ss.name,xsc.name collection_name FROM sys.xml_schema_collections xsc JOIN sys.schemas ss ON xsc.schema_id= ss.schema_id
    select * from sys.schemas
    --check the schema content,use the name,collection_name from the above query
    SELECT xml_schema_namespace(N'name',N'collection_name')
    3)ii. View can be viewed as virtual table. Use a view to list the XML schema content.
    CREATE VIEW XSDContentView
    AS
    SELECT ss.name,xsc.name collection_name,cat.content
    FROM sys.xml_schema_collections xsc JOIN sys.schemas ss ON xsc.schema_id= ss.schema_id
    CROSS APPLY(
    SELECT xml_schema_namespace(ss.name,xsc.name) AS content
    ) AS cat
    WHERE xsc.name<>'sys'
    GO
    SELECT * FROM XSDContentView
    By the way, it would be appreciated if you can spread your questions into posts. For any question, feel free to let me know.

  • Label Printing Using Address Book - How can I Print multiple labels of the same name?

    Label Printing Using Address Book - How can I Print multiple labels of the same name?

    I used to be able to print multiple copies of the same picture on one page using iphoto. There was a customise button when you went through to print and it was there somewhere. I can't see it anymore - maybe since an upgrade.
    It's gone. But as a work-around, duplicate your photo (⌘D) to create as many versions as you want copies and select all at once. Then use the "Custom" print layout and set the photo size you want.
    After printing, trash the added versions.

  • How can one print a particular page or pages from a Word Document using ActiveX or any other technique?

    I've been trying to print  a few pages from a Word document.
    Currently I am able to print the entire document using some ActiveX techniques.
    There seems to be facilities for selecting the particular pages, however so far I cannot get them to work.
    I have tried the From/To and the Pages in the PrintOut invoke node.
    And as you will see I have also tried the Range node.
    Anyone have some ideas on how to do this?
    Please see the attached vi.
