Printing inspection plans from engineering work bench

Dear Gurus,
How can I print inspection plans from the engineering workbench?
Regards,
MaX

Depends on what you want to print.  From the task list view you can load the plans, select the ones you want to print and you'll gt a list of the selected plans along with various related fields.
Ditto from the operations view.
Can you be a bit more specific?

  • Fetching the Inspection plan from OEM/owning Plant while doing GR in MIGO

    Hi,
    I have a scenario-
    a) I am doing a Goods Recipt against a purchase order for a plant(suppose Plant A).
    b) I have to fetch the Inspection Plan from the Owning OEM(suppose Plant B) of the material.
At present we are maintaining the inspection plan for Plant A & B separately, which is not in synchronization.
Can anyone suggest any BADI or user exit that can be enhanced to deal with this scenario?
    Thanks in Advance.

continuing my issue is it possible to that we donot have to change the gbb and vbr and still we can have the desired results.
that is we are able to use different gl for debit while doing goods issue from a single stocked material
or we want to have this result
    1.          repairs to p&m    1000    dr
stock of cement  a/c           1000    cr
    2.          repairs  to building    2000   dr
stock of cement  a/c            2000   cr.
    3.             construction     3500     dr
                                 stock  of cement     3500     cr
we donot want to change the GBB and VBR every time    or change the GL a/c while doing reservation.
is there any third option where we get the desired result without changing or entering the g/l manually
if there is please let me know the t.codes

  • Engineering work bench

hi guys. why is engineering work bench used.does it has anything to do with VC?

    Dear Deepu,
    Purpose of the Engineering Workbench:
The Engineering Workbench is an environment for maintaining product structures and operations. Its
capabilities far exceed those of the conventional maintenance of bills of material and routings.
The most important objects in the Engineering Workbench are BOM items and operations. Views of these
objects are available that present the conventional structures of bills of material and routings. In addition to
this, other views are now available that were previously not possible. All of the maintenance functions,
such as Create, Change and Delete are supported on all of these views.
You no longer have to maintain routings and bills of material separately. You can simply select those
object types in the Engineering Workbench with which you want to work, for instance Material, Production
resource/tool, Operation etc. You summarize this selection in a working area. For instance the design and
production departments both have special requirements and therefore each has its own special working
    area.

    Hi Experts.
Does Engineering Work bench(EWB) come under PLM?

    Hi,
the EWB brings together QM, Manufacturing and PLM. But I think that EWB-questions can be answered here.

  • Printing multi invoices from ebay works in IE8 but not Firefox, tried all your help tips, still not working?

I sell things on ebay. I need to print out multi invoices from ebay. When I do this from Firefox the first page has my address but no customer info. It then prints out the second page OK.
So I have to then return to printing out invoices and check (tick) the ones it's missed. Checked printer page sizes etc, prints fine from other apps and pages.
I asked on ebay and someone said it's a FIREFOX problem, try it on IE8, -I did and it works ok. Please fix so I don't have to use IE8!

You have an invalid path reference. in one version of the object tag it reads ../../navbar.swf, in the other this is truncated to ../navbar.swf. Hence the browser can simply not find the file (IE and FF each look at differnt parts of the code).

  • Using inspection plan in multiple plants

    Hi,
I would like to use one inspection plan in multiple plants. Are there any disadvantages or pitfalls? (besides the fact that if I use workcenters, the same workcenters must exist in all plants using the plan)
    Marcus.

I love to use material specs.  They can be used alone or in conjunction with a plan.
There are several reasons why plans must be used in certain situations.
Dynamic modification is one of the big ones.  You can only use DMR in inspection plans.
You also need plans to work with PRT assignments.
Security based on workcenters.  Some plants require that only certain techs or personnel perform certain inspections.  And the people who can do results recording is strictly monitored.  This is especially true for those using SAP in the Pharm and food industries.
Using calculated characteristics.  These can only be taken advantage of if your use inspection plans.
Enginerring change management.  Plans can used ECM to track and document changes.  Another big requirment in Pharma and food.
If a material spec is used it is an all or nothing situation.  In many places, there might be 20 or 30 characteristics on a given material spec.  If you inspect by material spec then all the characteristics in the material spec are copied into the inspection lot.  If you inspect in conjunction with a plan, any characteristics that don't match up with an inspection plan characteristic are appended to the last operation of the plan.
Since in many places, inspections are done at various stages, or maybe derived from batch derivation, they often want to pick and choose what tests get performed at what inspection.  A good example would be 03 and 04 lots.  Many places might test some characteristics via the 03 inspection that get the tests from the routing/receipe.  If the test is done in a later operation, there may not be any need to repeat the test in the 04 inspection lot.  Using a material spec, they wouldn't have that flexibility.  Anther example are 09 recurring inspections.  Many companies may only inspect a certain subset of characteristics to requalify the material at reinspection.
Capturing costs for specific testing must use an inspection plan.  (yes, you can use general QM order in the material master if you want, but the operation header of a plan has various values and settings for working with costs)
And now in 6.0, if you want to use the multiple spec functionality, you have to use inspection plans.
If you integrate with EH&S and maintain specs in EH&S then EH&S can create and update all the inspection plans as changes are made.  But not material specs.
I think I hit some of the big reasons,  I'm sure others can probably come up with ones I've missed.

  • Inspection Plans

    Hello all..
We have data in SAP...we need to move it from one plant to another.
I need to move the inspection plans from one plant to another..I need to make source files for this in order to use LSMW, can anyone tell me how to make source files for Inspection plans, which tables to use and which all field to include???
    Regards
    Neha

    Hi,
I think above solution is ok to make your work easy, but if you want that control then you can use Engg Change Number functionality.
    1. every year create inspection lot manually with inspection type 89.
    2. check for inspection plan changes
    3. Generate Change number and with that change number change the inspection plan.
    4. now for change number we have release strategy. we can use this release strategy.
Please try and let me know if that is working.

  • Error while creating Inspection plan

    Hi,
While creating inspection plan in QP01, system is showing error  "Material type ZROH is not defined for task list type Q''
Please help me to solve the error.
    Thanks
    Prasant

    Hi,
This is due to the configuration error,
    Just use T.Code OP50
Create an entry for task list type "Q" with material type "ZROH" and save,
Then try creating a Quality Inspection Plan, it will work

  • INSPECTION PLAN ALE SETTINGS

    Hi ,
Its a Migration Project and we have to Transfer all the Inspection Plans from the Old System to a New System.
We are tryin to go by the Idocs Approcach.
But i donnt know the MASS SEND Prog. for the same eg. BD10(RBDSEMAT) for Material , also i am stuck in the ALE Settings too ...
In Outbound Side Distribution Model i have added the following BAPI :
    Object name        InspectionPlan
    Method name       Create
    Object type          BUS1191
    Method                CREATE
    Description          Create inspection plan
and in the Outbound Partner Profile :
    Message Type INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE
    Basic type        INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE02
I am also not able to Find the Inbound Process Code for the message type INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE.
Although i guess the Inbound Function Module is IDOC_INPUT_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREA .
Please help me with the issue.
    regards
    Vikas.

Thanks... but i am still in need of a mass send program ... or can i send the inspection plans via change pointers ?
while creating the entries in BD52 (Change Document Items for Message Type) i am not sure what should be added for this message type (INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE)?

  • Inspection plan copy model

    Hello,
How to extend the Inspection plan from one plant to another plan by copy model. The Master inspection characteristic were not getting extended, for ex when we coped from A- B , Header, Operation , Material assignment get copied , but the  Master inspection characteristic created as Plant A in the Plant B Header, Operation , Material assignment group counter.
    Thanks for the help
    Thanks,
    Nic

I think there might be some confusion on what you are expecting to happen.
Don't expect the MIC's used in a plan to have new MIC's created in the plant the plan is being copied to.
The plan will simply be copied, using the MIC's in the plan.
So if MIC 10002301 from plant 1000 is used in plan 400 and you copy plan 400 to plant 2000, the new plan will use the MIC 10002301 from plant 1000.
The copy program does not create MIC 10002301 in plant 2000 for you.

  • Migration Work Bench Offline Approach

    Hi,
Iam using migration workbench offline approach from sql server to oracle.
I connected to sql server and get the dat files and control files for sql loader.
The control files are generated from the work bench tool where as by default its giving DECODE function for all non numeric data type fields for ex:
    EMPNO "DECODE(:EMPNO, CHR(00), ' ', :EMPNO)"
Can i do modification in the tool so that the control file generated with some more functions appended.
I want to convert all non numeric fields to uppercase before inserting to oracle db i.e. iam expecting my control file something like this -
    EMPNO "DECODE(:EMPNO, CHR(00), ' ', upper(:EMPNO))"
Please let me know how can i achieve this instead of editing each control file and modifying the same manually.
    Regards,
    BAIG.

    Baig,
I'm afraid, i think this is not possible with the present version of the tool. If there were some intermediate steps between creation of sql loader scripts and generastion of the sql loader scripts, what you asked mite have been possible.
    Thank you.

  • Lower Specification Limit and Upper Specification Limit on Inspection Plan

    Hi Experts:
I'm trying to input the lower and upper specification limit on inspection plan. I created my inspection characteristic but when I trying to digit the values, the systems erase that and give me the values from the inspection characteristics
    Any idea?

    Hi Deihus,
    1.     While creating MIC you create it with upper, lower and target limits.
    2.     The same MIC when you use in inspection plan, all the control indicators and lower, upper values get copied in to inspection plan from MIC.
    3.     In fact this is the reason you can use this characteristic for several material.
Kindly excuse me as I could not interpret the term when I trying to digit the values . To digit value means what?
Whether you want to put different values in inspection plan rather than getting copied from MIC? If yes, you can do so. Just overwrite the values on QP01/QP02 and save.

  • Create Inspection plan at once for many materials through QP01. Possible?

    Dear Friends,
Is it possible to create Inspection Plant for more than one material at onece through QP01 when operation activity and Characteristics are same. I will change the Characteristics specifications afterwards.

As suggested in earlier reply you can assign multiple materials to one inspection plan.
But you may still need more than one plan because of
    1. UOM is maintained in Inspection plan header. So you have to create different inspection plan if you receive materials in different Unit of measures.
    2. Usage is also at header level, so depending on configuration, usage for 01 inspection type may be different from usage for 0101 inspection type.
If you like the user exit approach.
    1. Create a dummy material and assign default inspection plan to this material.
    2. In the user exit change the inspection plan assignment.  Assign inspection plan from this dummy material.
Form us this was a very useful approach during testing or for new material where inspection plan was not created in time.
Once this default inspection plan is assigned, inspection lot is released even without inspection plan. If we need,  we can always change the default inspection plan in QA02 transaction before RR
