Printing UDF from BOM on Production Order

I have added some UDF's on my BOM that I'd like to print on the Production Order. How do I get BOM UDF info onto the Production Order?
Sal

Sal,
BOM and Prod Order are 2 different documents and therefore do not share the UDF.  You will need to create similar set of UDF on the Production Order Header / rows (as required) and create formatted seach to copy the data from the UDF.
Please give me an example of the data in the UDF and I will walk you through

  • Document Flow from BOM to Production Orders

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    I have attached a few documents at header level of the BOM. I have also attached document at item level in the BOM. When I create a production order these documents are not flowing to Production Order. Is there any way to do that. I also want to see them in CS11 and CS12 reports.
    In OPKP I have already checked Document Links-BOM "On Creation" and "On Release" for my production scheduling profile.
    Thanks and Regards
    Geravine

    I have three documents. One is attached at the BOM header level under the documents tab. The second with item category D is entered as a line item in the BOM Items. The third is in the Item Level under the item's documents tab in the item details. All have same document type.
    When I create the production order the second document is copied in the document overview of production order. First and Third are nowhere to be seen.
    Is there any config or user exit to achieve the same?

  • Missing raw material position (from BOM) in process order

    Hello to all,
    Please help me on my issue on missing raw material position (from BOM) in process order.
    On transaction CS11, for a particular formula/plant/BOM application, the BOM was produced.  It was found that this BOM has 20 positions (from 0010 to 0200).
    Now, when the user proceed on the process order for this, the position 20 is missing into the order.  What checks should be needed to proceed on checking why the item is missing into the process order?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Patrick

    Patrick,
    The last check what i would suggest is to check the "Plant-Spl- material status" of the material in line item 0020. You have to check this using transaction "MM03" and in MPR1 - view.
    You can check the defination of the status in the customizing transaction "OMS4", here check under "Production Section".
    I definately think that there was a error message which should have popped up and ignored by the user due to this defination of the status.

  • BOM and production order

    CAn somebody give me the steps for creating BOM alongwith routing  in SAP
    and also the steps involved in creating a Production order //
    Please give me all the t Codes //Iam basically a finance and costing consultant
    Iam trying to create a test scenario for testing a costing variant //
    Also trying to analyse the financial impact during creation of a Prodn order
    Thanx
    Nikhil

    Mr. Nick,
    Creation of BOM:
    1. CS01 -> BOM creation
    a. Enter Mtl No., Plant No., BOM Usage (use the value 3), If you wish to keep track of changes, then generate a change number & assign the same to the change number field & also select the date from which you want the BOM to be valid from.
    b. Once inside this transaction, add the components which you want along with the qty required.
    c. There are more settings which you can do, but for a simple BOM, these entries are sufficient.
    d. If you wish to link another BOM with this, enter the mtl nos which has the BOM, this way you can build multi-level BOM's.
    2. CA01 -> Routing creation
    a. You can create a routing specific to a material or you can have a single routing for multiple materials.
    b. If you want to have a routing per material, then enter the mtl nos, Plant, change nos if you want to keep track of changes & the valid from date.
    c. You can also have routing specific to a sales document or WBS element.
    d. If you wish to have a group routing i.e. a single routing for multiple mtl's which are going to be produced in a similar way, then just enter a name in Group field.
    e. Depending on what you select above, different screens open, i would suggest, you try creating one in the sandbox server & post back if you face any problems.
    3. CO01 -> Production order creation
    a. Once you have created the BOM & routing for the material, then enter the material for which you want to create the production order, enter the production plant & also the order type. If you are not aware of what order type, then please refer to your PP consultant.
    b. After making the initial entry & when you press enter, the system automatically reads the BOM & Routing associated with this material.
    c. Once again i suggest you create a production order in sandbox server & if you face any issues you can post back.
    Also note: You can use CS02, CA02, CO02 for modifications of BOM, Routings & Production orders respectively. CS03, CA03 & CO03 for display.
    Hope i was able to give some assistance to you.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Alternative BOM in Production Order

    Hi PP Experts,
    I have a small issue which is like this:
    I have two Alternative BOM for Material "A".
    When I create production order it displays both Alt Bom for selection.
    When I select the second Alt BOM, in production order it still reads the First Alt BOM.
    Please advice.
    Regards
    Mohan

    Hi Mohan,
    I suggest if you have two alternate BOM for a material, you can use the production versions and assign the same for the material in Material Master MRP4 view.
    Create Production Versions 01 and 02 and assign the alt BOM 1 for the PV 01 and 02 alt bom for PV 02.
    Goto SPRO : Production -> Shop Floor Control -> Define Order type dependent paramters  ( Tcode : OPL8)  : Define the Production Version Slection either 1 for manual and 2 for automatic. (if you use automatic system will select the version based on the material master selection method )

  • Users are not able to create POs from PRs having Production Order (F)

    Hi Gurus
    Users are not able to create POs from PRs having Production Order (F) as creation indicator.
    Whenever we are trying to convert the PR to PO we are getting the error message "Requisition has different doc. type NB and item cat. >&<" based on the below OSS# 938154 condition for the creation indicator type F.
    Would you please investigate and advise what OSS notes are required to be able to use item category L (subcontracting) on a PO for a requisition generated from a network activity via Procurement Type = "Preliminary requisition for WBS element".
    Thanks,
    Sada.

    Hi Ajay & Andra
    Whenever we are trying to convert the PR to PO we are getting the error message "Requisition has different doc. type NB and item cat. >&<" based on the below OSS# 938154 condition for the creation indicator type  Production order (F).
    Our Business requirement as shown below.
    1).The problem - we currently have no way to "direct requisition" an item to be procured via      subcontracting - only itu2019s possible via MRP.
    2).These behaviors are inconsistent as the requisition process should not impact the procurement process.  Can we find a way to influence the creation indicator on the requisition so that it does not appear as a production order?
    Please suggest any alternate method for achieving this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sada

  • Reg : BOM and production order

    Hi all,
    I have created two production orders for the same material but with diffrent BOM explosion date. now can any one please let me know how will i find which version of alternate BOM of the material is used in the production order.
    In the production order header table ( AFKO) i am getting only the alternate BOM number, i am ubable to find which version of alternate BOM is used for Production order.
    Thanks .
    VIJAY

    the relation is as below
    AFKO-STLNR = STAS-STLNR
    AFKO-STLTY = STAS-STLTY
    AFKO-STLAL= STAS-STLAL
    FROM HERE TAKE ALL
    STAS-STLKN AND STAS-STLTY
    PASS IT TO STPO
    STPO-STLNR = STAS-STLNR
    SPO-STLTY = STAS-STLTY
    STAS-STLKN-= STPO-STKLN
    THIS WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE BOM ITEMS USED IN THAT PROD ORDER.
    IS IT OKAY?

  • Change BOM and Production Order

    Hello Expert,
    I have recuuring problem, hope you can lean help to me. Can you explain to me why this happen?
    we have change a component BOM in CS02, first we create change number in CC01. with effective date for 30.09.2008.
    In BOM 6083, there exist a component 10020379. we want this component to be deleted on 30.09.2008 and be replace with a new component material 10060530 effective on the date 30.09.2008. that was the new set up of the BOM of material 6083 (at this date august).
    Today (27.08.2008) we create a production order for material 6083, relesed it and when we will look at the PO Component Overview of our created PO both BOM component material 10020379 and 10060530 was present both backflushed was tick. but 10060530 component has zero req. qty compared to 10020379 it has a value on req. qty.
    why that even we create the PO in August replacement material 10060530 was exploded and included in PO since this material will be effective on 30.09.2008?
    and when we confirmed the PO via CO11N, we have a COGI error for the replacement material 10060530 "Enter Storage Location"?
    How all this happen Guru?.
    Thanks and more Power

    Hi,
    in this scenario, you can control the BOM explosion better with Revision Levels.
    say you have created the Revision Level with CC11, using the same change master which is effective from 30.08.2008.
    Every time, when you create an Order, system will pick the latest/relevant Revision level.
    If you create an Order on 01.01.2009, suppose there is a chanege again to your BOM, still at the time of confirmation/backflush system will explode the BOM as on 30.08.2008.
    Hope this helps..
    Regards,
    Siva

  • Get DocNum from newly entered Production Order

    I have an add-on that creates a production order from a given BOM (Item).  The code works fine and the production order shows up in B1.  However, following the "ProdOrder.Add" event, I need to find the DocNum and/or DocEntry for the newly added Production Order.  The problem is that none of those fields are actually populated even after the "Add" event.
    How can I retrieve this data from the newly added Production Order?
    Here's my code so far:
    ProdOrder = B1Connections.diCompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oProductionOrders)
                    ProdOrder.ItemNo = ItemID
                    ProdOrder.PlannedQuantity = Qty
                    strDate = DueDate.Substring(4, 2) & "/" & DueDate.Substring(6, 2) & "/" & DueDate.Substring(0, 4)
                    dDate = strDate
                    ProdOrder.DueDate = dDate
                    intResult = ProdOrder.Add()
    DocNum = ProdOrder.DocumentNumber
    Even though the DocNum will show up fine in the database, the statement above will return only a "0" value.
    What do I need to do to get this data?
    Thanks!

    Hey Curtis,
    Have you checked out the GetNewObjectCode method in the DI API? I am not sure what version you are using but you can use this for sure in 2004

  • Spare Sales order stealing stock from a Released production order

    Hi Gurus,
    This is not a new problem. I read the below link only a hundred time now.
    Sales order stealing components from Production order
    Business scenario-
    Top Assembly material - XYZ (Let's say Desktop PC), Proc type - E, Plng Strat - 40 (regular MTS scenario)
    Sub Assembly material - ABC (Let's say Monitor), Proc type - F, Plng Strat - blank. But we sell this part sometimes (Let's say - customer wants an additional monitor).
    Roy is a shop supervisor working on a $1 million Sales order for Top assembly XYZ which is already late and customer is screaming.
    He released the production order with no missing parts, printed and fretting to finish this order.
    After couple of hours of setup & machine prep - Roy went to pick up the parts and to his surprise material ABC is not available.
    Tina is at shipping department working on a $1000 Sales order that arrive today. System said 'sure you can ship it 3 days in advance'. So created a delivery and shipped it to the customer.
    Now, Roy ran TCode: MB52 and found out that Tina just shipped his component ABC.
    SAP gave the part ABC to a $1000 sales order and business lost sales on a $1 million order.

    Production order Release checking rule
    Please help me resolve this issue.
    Let me know if you need more info.
    Thanks,

    Praneeth,
    There are two separate concepts here.  "How do I ensure that production orders and Sales orders are on an equal footing" and "what is the purpose of 'check without RLT'.
    You have an ATP check relevant for Sales orders (checking rule "A" for Make To Stock).  You have an ATP check for production orders (I assume it is checking rule "PP").  If you want these two objects to have equal priority on stock and supplies, then make the two rules (OVZ9 for A and PP) identical.
    Now, to RLT.
    Prod Order Release has 'Check without RLT' active, that means - it'll let the sales orders (also that are outside the RLT) steal the stock.
    Sales orders that are outside RLT will automatically confirm.  "Stealing" stock is a result of combination of the ATP for the sales orders, plus the ATP for the sales order delivery, combined with the ATP for production orders. and any ATP you may have on Goods Issues against a production order.  I cannot possibly tell you what you should do to prevent stealing stock, since there are so many permutations of scenarios that can affect the outcome.
    I suggest instead that you give me concrete scenarios, telling me of specific problems, illustrated with screenshots of CO09, and I will help you through one or two specific scenarios.
    Best regards,

  • Issue with printing newly added operations in Production Order through CO02

    Hi,
    Currently I have one issue with printing production order changes through CO02. If I go for print, all the operations are captured in printout. But after the print, if I add any new operations to this production order, and then go for print, its not capturing the newly added operations. Also, there is information popup coming "Copies will be printed for order. Original list already printed". This message effectively means, even after changes, when I go for print functionality, its just going for printing copies of original printed list.
    Can anyone help me out to get the newly added operations reflected in the print through CO02 ?
    Regards,
    Shiva

    Hi,
    1) Go to Tcode "OPK8"
    2)Select LG02 "Op Control Ticket"
    3) Double click on :List Control for Transactions" in the left hand menu tree
    4) In front of ur desired t code "co02" make the changes ( Number of prints- u can increase) 6th column.
    Try this.

  • Differ Bom For Production order and Subcontracting

    Dear all
    Is there any process to defined BOM for Subcontracting & production Order  separately and how can we make the Bom For Both case ,If it is possible then how can we choose in the production order for in house production and also for subcontracting for purchase order.
    Rgds
    Pankaj Agarwal

    Hi,
    After giving 'X' in the procurment type, maintain quota arrange usage as '4'.
    Then use T.code meq1, for creating quotas.
    Give the material no. & then give validdity date. Double click the validity date, this will take you to another screen.
    Here give the procurment type as internal production, the %quota & the prod version in the 'Version field'& then in the second row choose external procurement & choose sub-contracting in the special procurement field, then enter the %quota & prod version in the 'version' field.
    After this in T.code omi4 (for lot-size), check if the lot size you use has got a tick in the splitting quota. If not check this indicator & then run mrp. Based on the quota %, pl order & pur req will be created.

  • Bom for production order - Function module

    Hi
    I'm looking for a function module or bapi which can provide me with the BOM for a specific production order.
    The FM should also handle changes to the BOM and just show me the updated BOM on the production order.
    KR
    Jesper Dueholm

    Dear JDU,
    You can use this FM BAPI_PRODORD_GET_DETAIL if you want to get the BOM components related to the production order or
    use FM,CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 for getting BOM multi-level display.
    There is no functional Module through which you can do BOM changes in the production order or in the BOM and it has to
    reflect the changes in the order immediately.
    Check these functional modules for BOM change,
