Privacy - Apps and Contact Information
How do I keep apps (specifically, Thunderbird) from asking to access my contact information? Every time I start it up, I am delayed while I wait for Mac Privacy to pop up the "permission allowed to use Contact information?" message.

It sounds like this may be a Thunderbird issue, as OS X seems to be behaving as it's supposed to. Why don't you ask about this in Mozilla's forums...

You are talking about the menu bar of Itunes, right?
Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.
where exactly is the Store/synck you iphone option?
After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone. -
How do I keep my daughter and I's apps and contact info SEPERATE on the same itunes while sharing songs?
I need step by step directions on set up different profiles on itunes for 2 seperate iphones. I want to be able to share purchases if desired, but not have to have the same apps/songs on our phones. I could do with sharing songs.....apps not so much. Please Help!!

I just updated my 3GS to 5.0 and most of my apps and contacts disappeared. THis has never happened before through many updates. How can I get it back to where it was?
I did a restore from backup but that did not change anything.
I can see my apps in iTunes - it is like the update got some apps but not all, no contacts.
Total waste of my Friday.
What steps can I take to bring the phone back.
I know Steve is not smilingI got my contacts back by doing another restore! Relief..
But only a very few odd apps are showing up on the 3GS

Iphoto app and Contacts List vanished
Dear Apple,
My iPhoto app and Contacts list have disappeared from both my desktop and my Time Machine ( recently restored my internal harddrive from external HD ).
1) Can I select just iPhoto for installation from the system disk ?
2) I can highlight my complete Contacts list from several weeks ago in Time Machine, but when restored to today, the desired target ( Contacts ) is grayed out. Do I need to create a temporary "Contacts*" app to be later renamed without a distinctive character ? I have created "Contacts" folder, which is unrecognized by Mail.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Rob GlassThe iPhoto app needs to be reinstalled form its original source - either the restore disks that came with yoru computer, the pruchased iLife upgrade disks or the App store

Use your backup copy of your old computer to put everything on your new computer, then sync the iphone to that comptuer.

No. In fact, it is possible to uninstall iTunes and then re-install iTunes without losing any content.
Removing, updating, and repairing the application has no affect on the media stored on the system. -

Is this a new iPhone?
If so, when connecting a new iPhone to iTunes for the first time that has been used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the new iPhone, or set up the new iPhone as a new iPhone.
If you don't want to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device, select set up as a new iPhone. No existing data or settings will be erased or changed when selecting as a new iPhone. Not that difficult or difficult at all. -
