Proble reading document (109) can't save attachments

I am having a problem saving a document, the error message is says that there is a problem reading the document (109) - I deleted Adobe Acrobat 8, because I have 6.0 at work and need to edit forms.

>I am having a problem saving a document, the error message is says that there is a problem reading the document (109)
You're going to have to be a bit more specific.
For instance, I have no idea what you are using to open the PDF's. Acrobat, Reader or even which version.
Are you having problems opening the PDF or saving the PDF?
Is it a form or do you want to create a form?
>I deleted Adobe Acrobat 8, because I have 6.0 at work and need to edit forms.
I'm not sure what that even means or why you would do that.

Is this a particular sender, or all of your attchments?  Google winmail.dat and you will see a number of returns that can explain this, but in short, this is the way some e mail providers deal with attachments.  If all of your e mail is coming that way, you need to change a setting on your isp set up.  Perhaps stary here...

  • Adobe Reader Mac 9 can't save filled-in forms?

It appears that Adobe Reader Mac version 9.0.0 can no longer save filled-in forms. Using Reader Mac 8, I could save my last year's IRS Form 1040 PDF with all the fields filled in. Now, when I open the 2007 IRS 1040 PDF downloaded from their website today, I get a message:
"This document enables Reader capabilities that are no longer enabled in this Reader version."
I get the same message when I open my 1040 PDF that I saved with fields filled in earlier this year with Reader Mac 8. That PDF still contains my filled-in values, but I can't save any changes.
Has Adobe disabled saving filled-in forms in Reader Mac 9? If so, was it by accident or on purpose? If on purpose, why?

  • Can't save attachments to selected folder

I've just started using BT Yahoo email, as my LiveMail is kaput, and I find I can't download an attachment to a selected folder. When I click on the file, I'm given merely the generic option to 'Save to computer'. (See screen shot.) This just sends the file to my Download folder where it gets lost among 1001 other files. What am I doing wrong?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Check your browser settings - e.g. Firefox defaults to 'Save files to Downloads' folder without prompting, but can be changed to 'Always ask me where to save files'. What browser are you using?

  • How can I save attachments with encoding of iso-2022-jp?

If attachments have iso-2022-jp encoding, they are not saved, and no warnings or error messages are output.
Saving the entire email, and opening it in Kmail, I'm able to save the attachment.
Running up to date Fedora 21, with thunderbird 31.4.0.

    Hey Del...
That sounds promising but I'm trying to get 3000 emails _off_ my machine, so can that exported mailbox be set up with folders for specific clients or types of business so that I can dump all the emails into the correct folders and then export it completely?  And when I want to retreive a particular client's emails, do I have to retreive the entire mailbox and restore it on my iMac or can I selectively go to "Client Mailbox2011/SmithPlumbing" and just see all the emails to/from Smith Plumbing?  If that can be done... I think we have a winner.  I might have to do it by year so I'd have multiple exported mailboxes and a way to keep current (2014) client email correspondence separate.
I hope you say yes LOL.  Then you give me some tips on HOW to do that!!!

  • Downloaded updated Adobe Reader and now can't open attachments

My MLS system program CoreLogic's Fusion just did updates and the updated version of Adobe Reader is the only one which will allow attachements to be read.  Well, I upgraded my version of Adobe Reader to the right one and it worked for a few minutes but now it doesn't work.  I can't read any attachments.  This is not just my problem.  Others have experienced the same thing.  What can I do to fix this?  It is really a big problem for me in my line of work.

What is your operating system?  Reader version?  Email client?  If you use web-based email, in what browser.
    Finally, what exactly means "can't"?

  • Outlook 2013 & Adobe Reader XI. Can't open attachments.

Default mail client is set to Outlook. Word documents open ok.  Microsoft took remote control of my computer & said problem is with Adobe.

Yeah... It's NEVER a Microsoft problem according to them... unless you're willing to pay three to four times the price of the PC for them to "fix it", and even then they don't guarantee anything. Just got a new Windows 8 laptop. Doesn't even come with a 30 day trial of Office 2013. There's a link to sign up for a paid subscription to Office 365, $480 a year for the same thing I have in Office 2010, and a lousy mail client that doesn't work with my SMTP servers, let alone Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
Have you tried Thunderbird from Mozilla? I have seven e-mail accounts on four servers and can connect to ALL of them simltaneously. Something Outlook will NEVER be able to do - three email accounts on one server. Oh, and I have no problem with PDFs in Thunderbird.

    Hi deaconb62772367,
Please try downloading using this direct Link: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.10/en_US/

  • I can scan a document but can't save it

I scanned and save several docs but then I could not find the saved docs for the next few a did ; everything is ok but the saved document simply does not exists.

iPhoto_Pref_and_Cache make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

  • How to close a frozen warning: I am unable to close the "charicter boarders aren't supported and were removed" warning on my pages. Untill warning is closed I can not save my document. How can I get my document saved?

I have an unsaved document open in pages but can not save it because the, "charicter boarders aren't supported and were removed" warning is open and I can not close the warning. How can i get the warning to close so I can save my document? Can I save the document without closing the warning?

Probably not, but as you will have been unable to make any changes to the document with that warning window open, you're not going to lose anything by quitting (or force quitting) without saving. You'll still have the original document you were trying to import.
I would suggest attempting to open the document in one of the open source Office applications, LibreOffice, Apache OpenOffice, or NeoOffice, each available for download from the linked sites. Once open there, remove the attributes that are causing the warning, save the file (as an MS Word document), then try opening that version in Pages.

    Barry

  • Can't save library files

iTunes is giving me an error message that reads something like: "Can't save iTunes library file. An unknown error has occurred: -48."
What does this mean? What should I do? I had backed up my iTunes files this morning--copied them over to a portable HD; but I didn't change, move or alter the files.

I'm having this problem too. Did you ever get a solution?

  • Can't download attachments from a specific sender in outlook 2003

All of a sudden I can't download any attachments from a specific sender that I was able to before, no changes have been made and I can download/save attachments from other senders.

    Hi,
Please using OWA to download/save attachments for testing.
If it is working in OWA, it should be an issue on the Outlook Client side.
Please run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs, add-ins and firewall for testing.
Please re-create a profile to refresh the caches for testing.
Can other recipients download/save attachments from the specific sender?
If all users cannot download/save the attachments from the specific sender, it seems that there maybe some Security issue on the attachments or the specific sender.
Please check whether there is any related Transport Rules applied, as Administrator, if possible.
Please also verify whether the attachments' size bigger than the attachment size limit.
Please also select some related App logs for the further troubleshooting.
    Hope it is helpful

  • Can't save reader documents

    Hi, I'm
new here. I just bought five pdf 's from a website. I downloaded all of them, they are all separate. They are all at the bottom of my screen because I can not save them.  I am trying to save them to my documents, or anywhere, and I don't see anything at the top of the pdf, OR at the top of my screen that will let me save them. There are 2 things in the 'file' drop down tab that state 'save a copy' and 'save as text'.  I clicked save a copy and don't know where it is saved. It doesn't tell me if it is even saved or not.  I did a search from my desktop 'start' tab in files and folders and in documents, but it is not found. I am trying to save each one separately so I can copy pages from them. I have all of them on tabs at the bottom of my screen so I won't lose them, since I can't save them. I am wanting to save them so I can send them to an email as an attachment, so I can print out some of the pages. I do not have a printer (I know I can't just print them out without saving them if I had a printer) I am not sure if I am explaining this correctly and thanks so much for helping!!

It sounds like you are opening them using your browser? If you use "Save a copy" and can't find it, do a search for it. It should be somewhere (have you tried your documents folder?).
Short of that, you can alway right click on a link to a PDF in your browser and choose to save the file in the dialog that appears.

A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

  • I have an iMac(mid2010) running Pages v5.5.1 on OS X 10.10. Why can I not save or share documents. The error message is You can't save the file "TEST.pages" because the volume is read only.

I have an iMac(mid2010) running Pages v5.5.1 on OS X 10.10. Why can I not save or share documents. The error message is You can’t save the file “TEST.pages” because the volume is read only.
I get the same message when using Numbers so I presume it is a OS problem

Some of your user files (not system files) have incorrect permissions or are locked. This procedure will unlock those files and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Enter the following command in the Terminal window in the same way as before (triple-click, copy, and paste):
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
