Problem connecting Axis client to a Service written in Delphi

I'm using Axis client to use a web service already running in Delphi. I have used WSDL2JAVA tool to get the complex types required by the service parameters. But when I try to invoke the service it fails saying "Access violation at address 052DC9E1 in module 'ri.dll'."
Has anyone out here tried accessing a service written in non-Java platform through a client written in Java?

It now gives me the following error : "org.xml.sax.SAXException: SimpleDeserializer encountered a child element, which is NOT expected, in something it was trying to deserialize."
Please anyone can shed a light on this?

    We need to see your tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files on your client computer.
    We need to see the results of
    lsnrctl statusfrom the database server
    In addition to the following boilerplate comments, I've been doing a series of articles on tns connection issues at edstevensdba.wordpress.com
    =================================
    A couple of important points.
    First, the listener is a +server side only+ process. It's entire purpose in life is to receive requests for connections to databases and set up those connections. Once the connection is established, the listener is out of the picture. It +creates+ the connection. It doesn't +sustain+ the connection. One listener, with the default name of LISTENER, running from one oracle home, listening on a single port, will serve multiple database instances of multiple versions running from multiple homes. It is an unnecessary complexity to try to have multiple listeners or to name the listener as if it belongs to a particular database. That would be like the telephone company building a separate switchboard for each customer.
    Additional notes on the listener: One listener is capable of listening on multiple ports. But please notice that it is the *listener* using these ports, not the database instance. You can't bind a specific listener port to a specific db instance. Similarly, one listener is capable of listnening on multiple IP addresses (in the case of a server with multiple NICs) But just like the port, you can't bind a specific ip address to a specific db instance.
    Second, the tnsnames.ora file is a +client side+ issue. It's purpose is for address resolution - the tns equivalent of the 'hosts' file further down the network stack. The only reason it exists on a host machine is because that machine can also run client processes.
    Assume you have the following in your tnsnames.ora:
    {code}
    larry =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myhost)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = curley)
    {code}
    Now, when you issue a connect, say like this:
    {code}
    $> sqlplus scott/tiger@larry
    {code}
    tns will look in your tnsnames.ora for an entry called 'larry'. Finding it, tns sends a request through the normal network stack to (PORT = 1521) on (HOST = myhost) using (PROTOCOL = TCP), asking for a connection to (SERVICE_NAME = curley).
    Where is (HOST = myhost) on the network? When the request gets passed from tns to the next layer in the network stack, the name 'myhost' will get resolved to an IP address, either via a local 'hosts' file, via DNS, or possibly other less used mechanisms. You can also hard-code the ip address (HOST = 123.456.789.101) in the tnsnames.ora.
    Next, the standard networking process delivers the message to port 1521 on myhost. Hopefully, there is a listener on myhost configured to listen on port 1521, and that listener knows about SERVICE_NAME = curley. If so, the listener will spawn a server process to act as the intermediary between your client and the database instance. Communication to the server process will be on a randomly selected available port. At that point the listener is out of the process and continues to user port 1521 to await other connection requests.
    What can go wrong?
    First, there may not be an entry for 'larry' in your tnsnames. In that case you get "ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified" No need to go looking for a problem on the host, with the listener, etc. If you can't place a telephone call because you don't know the number (can't find your telephone directory (tnsnames.ora) or can't find the party you are looking for listed in it (no entry for larry)) you don't look for problems at the telephone switchboard.
    Maybe the entry for larry was found, but myhost couldn't be resolved to an IP address (say there was no entry for myhost in the local hosts file). This will result in "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
    Maybe there was an entry for myserver in the local hosts file, but it specified a bad IP address. This will result in "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
    Maybe the IP was good, but there is no listener running: "ORA-12541: TNS:no listener"
    Maybe the IP was good, there is a listener at myhost, but it is listening on a different port. "ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error"
    Maybe the IP was good, there is a listener at myhost, it is listening on the specified port, but doesn't know about SERVICE_NAME = curley. "ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor"

  • Problem connecting iChat client 10.6 (Snow Leopard) to iChat server (Lion)

    Hi guys,
    I'm fairly new to the Lion server, but it's all working fine with my Lion client(s) so far
    However, my wife's best friend's MacBook is still running Snow Leopard ( and she is not willing to upgrade her MacBook as of now due to severak reasons) and I'm trying to connect her iChat client from Snow Leopard to the iChat server running on my Lion server.
    If I try to set up the account manually in the iChat client, I can't find an option for Mac OS X Lion server and trying a work around with the Jabber account settings didn't work either (on the server's log: credentials failed). Then, I tried to create a profile on the server and downloaded it to the Snow Leopard system, but it wasn't recognised (in System Settings, there is no Profile option ).
    So, can someone please, please, please give me any idea about it or is it simply not possible to connect a an older iChat client (5.0.3, Snow Leopard) to the latest version of the iChat server (Lion) ??
    Again, any idea is very appreciated!
    Many tx in advance.
    Cheers
    Kai

    Hi there,
    A simple suggestion , please make sure both MacBook Pro clock and the server clock are the same meaning the hour/Min/ sec both should match. A least difference of 3 seconds is fine.
    I had faced this problem in many place and only solution was to match the time and it will bind immediatly.

  • Problems connecting from Client to Database

    I've run into a strange situation,
    We are running Oracle 8.1.7 installed on Sco?!? In the past everyone has just opened a netterm connection from windows 2000 to the box that the database exists on and run SQL Plus from within that window. They do not use any of the client side Oracle tools.
    I just started working here and was trying to explain the benefits of some of the existing Oracle tools that are out there. I installed Discoverer along with some other tools and was having troubles connecting. I uninstalled everything and started with just SQL Plus. The following is my tnsnames entry for the database:
    oradev =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS =
    (PROTOCOL = TCP)
    (Host = ORADEV)
    (Port = 1521)
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = DVCX)
    and the error that I get when I try to connect is:
    ORA-12514: Message 12514 not found; product=RDBMS80; facility=ORA
    The strange thing is that I installed JDeveloper and told it to start a SQL Plus session and it works fine. It is pointing at the exact same executable that I tried running from the start menu. C:\ORACLE\806\BIN\PLUS80W.EXE
    I tried running this executable frmo the Dos prompt using this:
    C:\ORACLE\806\BIN\PLUS80W.EXE user/passwd@oradev:1521:DVCX
    and I get this error message:
    ORA-06401: NETCMN: invalid driver designator
    Does anyone have any ideas? It would be really nice to be able to show these guys why they spent so much money to buy Oracle. Right now they're only using it to store data.
    Any responses would be appreciated. If I don't know the answer to your questino I can ask around and find it.
    Thanks,
    Chris S.

    Before I do that,
    Since it's not really my database to hack around with, why would the everything work through JDeveloper or through a netterm session to the Sco box? I'm not familiar with stopping and starting the listener so I will have to figure out how to do that as well.
    Thanks again for your input. I appologize if these are newby questions but this has always been set up for me in the past. I'm on new ground here.
    Thanks,
    Chris S. I haven't worked with Java so I can't explain the JDeveloper connection. I assume netterm is a terminal emulater, thus running a 'local' session on the host and doesn't need the listener to be running.
    Before you change anything, on the SCO box run the following command:
    prompt> lsnrctl status
    if it is not running or configured properly, you should see this kind of output (my output is from an NT box, but it should be close):
    LSNRCTL for 32-bit Windows: Version 9.0.1.1.1 - Production on 04-OCT-2002 13:59:44
    Copyright (c) 1991, 2001, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
    Connecting to (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=EXTPROC0)))
    TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
    TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
    TNS-00511: No listener
    32-bit Windows Error: 2: No such file or directory
    Connecting to (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=astra)(PORT=1521)))
    TNS-12541: TNS:no listener
    TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
    TNS-00511: No listener
    32-bit Windows Error: 61: Unknown error
    if it is running, it should show you which ports it is listening on. All things considered, you should take these steps first, because some O/Ss like to play games with the location of the config files (esp. Sun).

  • Problem connecting to SQL Server Analysis Services

    Could you please help me?. When i try to import data from analysis services in the administration tool i don't know the URL i must write. Could you describe the steps for the import process for this case?.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I have ASSAS and OBIEE on one virtual machine...2003 SP1 Server
    I have followed the instructions from MS and when I enter in the following URL
    http://localhost/olap/msmdpump.dll
    in my browser I get...
    - <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    - <soap:Body>
    - <soap:Fault xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <faultcode>XMLAnalysisError.0xc10e0002</faultcode>
    <faultstring>Parser: The syntax for 'GET' is incorrect.</faultstring>
    - <detail>
    <Error ErrorCode="3238920194" Description="Parser: The syntax for 'GET' is incorrect." Source="Unknown" HelpFile="" />
    </detail>
    </soap:Fault>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    I then try to use the URL in the Administration tool to import the cube (note: I do not specify a username or password) I then get the visual studio debugging tool.
    Has anyone see this behavior before??

  • I am having problems connecting to my home wifi with my iphone4s

    Over the past couple of weeks I have experienced a problem connecting to my home wifi service (Sky) with my iphone4s although my laptop connects fine. My phone also picks up the wifi at my place of work. At home when in close proximity to the router (netgear) on the phone the network name appears in the wifi settings but on the wifi networks page it does not get a tick against the name (wheel just keeps revolving). I have taken it back to the retailer (Vodaphone) and they recommend it be sent back to Apple (Liverpool or Manchester) as they consider it a hardware fault. I will be without the phone for probably 1-2 weeks and I use it within my working environment regularly.
    Has any one any ideas?
    jd
    ps. If I go down the route of 'forget this Network' will I need to do any resets on the router as I cant find the username and password when I enter my IP address for the router.

  • Problem connecting to webservice in AIR app

    Ok, bare with me, I am a newbie to flex development. I am having a problem connecting to a SOAP web service through my AIR app.
    I have the service running on a Glassfish server and I have verified that it is working fine.
    I have the following cross domain file in my server root (though I'm  not sure if this is necessary with an AIR app):
    <?xml  version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM  "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>
    <allow-access-from domain="*"/>
    <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all" />
    <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="SOAPAction"/>
    </cross-domain-policy>
    I want to create an AIR application that connects to this webservice but every time I connect I get this error message:
    "Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL....."
    But...... when I change my AIR application to a web application and run it in the browser it connects to the web service perfectly.

    Does anyone have any ideas on this?

  • Problem calling BPEL process using apache axis client

    We have a BPEL process which we are trying to call from apache axis client. The problem is when we execute "call.invoke(new Object[] { xmlStr }) ", it adds an "argo" element to the message, and the xpath is unable to evaluate the message.
    We are able to call the process fron .Net and VB 6 using soap toolkit without any problem, so it seems odd we are not able to do so from apache axis.
    Here is how it should be received by the BPEL process:

  • Web Services Test ORA-28150: proxy not authorized to connect as client

    Oracle 11g R2 APEX 4.2 with the latest listener.
    Trying to click on the test button on the Oracle.example.hr sample under the SQL WORKSHOP Restful Services and receive the following error:
    Internal Service Error 500
    Error during evaluation of resource template: GET hr/employees/, SQL Error Code: 28,150, SQL Error Message: ORA-28150: proxy not authorized to connect as client
    I have the APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER and APEX_LISTENER created from the supplied scripts and have executed the DBMS_NETWORK_ACL_ADMIN.ADD_PRIVILEGE.
    We can't get the web services to work.
    2 days wasted on this issue; Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    The error is saying that for whatever reason APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER cannot proxy to the SCHEMA (APEX WORKSPACE) where the RESTful Service is defined.
    Allow me explain how RESTful Services are invoked in Listener 2.0
    - It is important that the RESTful Service is invoked as the SCHEMA user that the RESTful Service is defined in, to make sure the correct database security rules/constraints are applied when executing the query/pl sql block associated with the service.
    - The mechanism Listener uses to do this is called connection proxying, which is a facility provided by the Oracle database to switch a connection from one user to another.
    - Of course if you could switch from user A to user B without restriction that would not be good. Instead user B must grant user A the privilege to proxy to user B's identity.
    - Thus when an APEX workspace first has a RESTful Service created in it, it performs this grant, giving APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER the privielge to proxy to the workspace/schema where the RESTful Service is defined.
    - Then when the RESTful Service definition is being evaluated for execution by the listener it proxies from APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER to the workspace schema user immediately before executing the query/plsql of the service.
    - It looks like the granting of the proxy privilege has not happened/failed for some reason.
    Can you tell me:
    - If the workspace where the service was defined is a newly created workspace, i.e it was created after installing APEX 4.2?
    - If the workspace was created before or after running apex_rest_config.sql?
    A manual workaround for your problem would as the SYS user, do:
    ALTER USER <apex_workspace_name> GRANT CONNECT THROUGH apex_rest_public_user;

  • ?? can not create an instance of org.apache.axis.client.Service

    hi,
    firstly, i should introduce what i am doing now.
    I want to write a Jeanbean, which can invoke 2 web services.
    I found in tomcat, when I submitted the parameters from a web page form, there was Internal Server Error.
    The problem is I can not created an instance of org.apache.axis.client.Service, or an instance of org.apache.axis.client.AxisClient.
    But very stange, I tried to create an instance of org.apache.axis.client.Transport, which should exist in the same package with Service and AxisClien, there was no exceptions.
    can anyone give me some hints?

    Is it a "class not found" error? Have you tried viewing the jar file that you think org.apache.axis.client.Service is in to be sure that it's really in there?
    jar tvf <filename>

    Hi Jason
    I was getting the same behavior after Apple support had me delete some plist files to get Airplay going. I was also getting the following error:
    the error occurred while processing a command of type 'writesettings' in the plug-in 'server vpn'
    I went into ~/Library/Preferences/ and /Library/Preferences/ and deleted every plist contating the word server. I had to re-set up my server (meaning walk through some intial steps) but all of my settings were still there after that and everything started working again.
    Just a thought, obviously try at your own risk but it worked for me.
