Problem contacting skype

I have received an auto renewal from skype which I want to cancel. I have tried contacting them via website and the links on the renewal email plus links here and elsewhere on the web. This has been for the last two months both on my Ipad and PC. Tried now about 40 times over this period and every time I get the same message ' Looks like our website is currently having a few problems. Please try again later'
I live on the Isle of Man which is a British Island but not actualy part of the UK

    What is perplexing is that the credit card is still good and ca not understand how it was’t paid.
    Could you send me the past 2012 payments so I can see what has been going on?
    I will send this on to Citibank as an inquiry.
    Anyway, I do not want to cancel my SKYPE account.

  • Problem purchasing Skype premium

    I am having serious difficulties purchasing Skype premium. 
    Following my participation in an academic congress in China last year, my Skype account has accidently become associated with Skype's Chinese partner Tom Online. When I now try to purchase Skype Premium from skype.com, I am redirected to Tom Online's Chinese website. 
    I initially thought that I could resolve the issue by contacting Skype's customer service, but this appears not to be the case. The advice that I have been given is that I should contact Tom Online in order to address the issue, or register an new Skype account. The replies that I have receieved from Skype's customer service are generally rather incoherent, each time written by a different person and often a cut & paste of pre-written text that is only tangentially relevant to the problem. 
    Might there any way for me, as a European business customer, to purchase Skype Premium without having to interact with Skype's Chinese partner or registering a new Skype account? If so, I would be most grateful.

    I would first recommend checking your call history here:
    https://secure.skype.com/account/usage
    If call history shows that destination was recognized as Israel landline number then customer service will need to investigate why subscription didn't cover it.

    I had subscribed for the 3 month 10.00USD 120 minutes package and then had to cancell the package as I was not able to use it properly as skype is banned here and is heaveily blocked.
    Now eventhough I had cancelled my auto renew setting , I have been charged  USD 10.17 on the 29/05/2013 ref order no [removed for privacy]. 
    And today while navagating through and checking on my payment settings , I have again made a purchase of USD 10.00.
    As you can check the 120 minutes on my credit cannot be used by me , for calling skype to phones.
    and the additinal 10.00 USD is again purchased by mistake.
    Kindly refund the 10.00 +10.17 USD  charged to my account.
    Your site regarding contacting skype is very confusing , Kindly make navagating to the points for cancellig subscriptions , or contacting skype for any probles such as mine , a bit more easy and eaisly visible.
    I hope this post will reach the concerned person and my payments will be refunded.

    I have been trying to contact Skype for many weeks. On every occassion I simply get the awful "Oops, something went wrong" message. "Our server seems to be down." Well, it certainly is, and appears to have been so for a couple of months. I now have a new problem. If I try to open Skype a message tels me that a new app is available, and to download now. Since there is absolutely no way to connect to Skype, I cannot download this new wonder, and the message blocks any way of using Skype. SO. I can no longer use skype at all, even though I have a payed up subscription. I have wasted so many hours on this. PLEASE can somebody help me. It is probably considerably easier to contact the aliens on Vogon. In fact, they could probably run a better service.I wait in hope.  Brian. x

  • Getting angry = cannot contact skype to report pro...

    I have been going in xxxxxxx circles on the Support page, signed in a half dozen times, and still cannot reach help. Very frustrating and not at all good customer service. I have been trying to ring my family in the USA (from the UK) on 3 separate numbers and they all are coming up "destination temporarily blocked". I have plenty of credit on my account and am furious that Skype has insulated themselves so tightly that a person cannot even report a problem or ask if there is a solution. Is anyone else having this problem? And why xxxxxxxx can't we contact Skype? Thank you.

    it's a bit of an odd fault, have got it to work once or twice but mostly the video screen of the inbound call just shows the animated icon whereas they can see and hear us perfectly. its as if skype just thinks that the other person does not have a video camera connection
    the devices we have tried to connect from are ipad, macbook pro and windows 7.

    As a suggestion I'd put the Text_io segments into their own begin - exception - end sub-blocks within the main code. This way if Text_io does raise an exception you can catch it earlier as it may be able to recover - That is if it is a text_io exception.
    Other than that you;ll have to step through in Debug.

    I have gone round and round the houses, trying to find a way to contact skype directly and the on-line support centre sends me in a loop, giving me information which doesn't relate to anything I look for.
    Skype have just decided to deduct some money from me regarding a telephone number I haven't asked for. I don't want to pay for it, in fact I'd like a refund and xxxxxxxxxxxxx if I can work out to turn off autorecharge or cancel the phone number going forward.
    It's utterly ridiculous that there is no way to contact skype directly regarding this.
    I have spent 40 minutes rummagint around trying to find out how xxxxxxxxxxxxxx to even get this far!  And I'm still not in the right place but am totally desperate!
    I am utterly furious, not only with the fact that they have taken my money, and secondly that it appears to be completely impossible to contact them. Why is there no way of sending them an email directly?
    Can anyone help me - and please don't send me to a help page because so far not one of them  has got me any closer to being able to contact skype regarding my query.     Is there anyway I can contact skype by phone or email?  I need them to contact me otherwise.  I signed in for Premium, got an email saying that my billing had gone wrong, I went through the payment again, and suddently I received emails with the confirmation of both payments.  Therefore, I payed twice.  I cancelled one payment by calling my credit card but it seems I'm not benefitting of my Premium account at all.  Is it because I had some money on my account before I signed for Premium?  Is my understanding that I have to use this money up before I'm able to benefit of my premium account right?   I'm really mad, confused and feeling like I'm being cheated.
