The best I can make of this dump is that it's generated on suspend of the app.  Are you doing anything special in the suspending event handler?

  • Newbie query problem: function data missing in dropdown

    I am a student using 10g express provided with our textbook. The installation to WinXp SP3 went flawlessly and I can execute all required queries from the command line, no problem. The publisher provides SQL scripts related to the chapter material that creates the users and data for the chapter exercises. When I switch to the database home page and attempt to execute a query, I can change the aliases, insert conditions and do any thing else with the record but when I hit the dropdown arrow for function there is nothing there, no list. I have been back over the chapters dealing with installation thinking I have missed some setup parameter but I am coming up empty. Ay help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Dave

    Ljuba,
    This may be the issue as I ran the script as 'system' but logged in the database as 'handsonxe03'. I may have missed the required login from the text. I will look closer or I may have to modify the script for required user.
    I will let you know....Thanks!

  • NI ELVIS PROBLEM: Function generator DC offset

    Hello
    My ni elvis has a serious problem!
    The func generator gives a 40mV DC offset when i try to generate a sinewave whitout offset!
    Can you help me?
    Thank you!
    Giovanni

    Hi Giovanni,
    I verified the specifications of the NI-ELVIS and I noticed that the DAC of the function generator has a resolution of 8 bit and output range of (-10,+10) V.
    Moreover in the version 2.0 of NI-ELVIS is possible to perform a calibration procedure (execute the Calibration Wizard) to improve the resolution of the signal generated.
    I hope these informations can help you with this device.
    Best regards,

  • tv 2 - Problems & Functions

    Ok, so i have i pretty big  network, including an iMac 21.5", 15in MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iPad3G & WiFi, iPhone 4, tv in living room and bedroom, 3 airport express for music...
    And now what i am a little upset about, the failure to be backward compatible of the old tv's...!!!
    I know this section is for version 2, and i'll get to that...!
    The older apple tv's eventually got all the little niggles ironed out... Woo Hoo...!!!
    They sorted the volume control on the remote, they sorted streaming to other speakers from you tv to airport express... Everything was fine and dandy....!!!
    THEN ALONG CAME "AIRPLAY"
    I really love the idea, and it should be an awesome system to use, had they taken all the knowledge they had from previous experiences and integrated it into the the tv2's and even the older versions...!
    PROBLEMS..
    1st NO VOLUME CONTROL - backward move in my opinion, why would you want to have 2 remotes when laying in bed picking your music etc...? Stupid...
    2nd NO CONNECTIVITY TO AIRPORT EXPRESS - Hold on, did i get that right...? I am sure i did, the new system is supposed to be a step forward, but this is backwards... It makes no sense to remove the whole functionality of a remote system to be able to use it remotely... Crazy idea... I think Steve Jobs must of been on holiday when they pushed this update through, his "hobby" is getting way too much stick cos of this in my opinion...
    But my biggest gripe of all is that i even HAD to buy an TV2, everything i had just worked fine, and then they say NO MORE UPDATES...!!!

    your DVD player doesn't have a volume control, so why should appletv be any different.
    the volume control should be on your device that the sound comes out of (ie TV or amp).

    as the new appletv doesn't actually store any content at all how could it send it to an airport express?
    it would be itunes that would send it to your airport express, as that is where the content is.
    But my biggest gripe of all is that i even HAD to buy an TV2, everything i had just worked fine, and then they say NO MORE UPDATES...!!!
    no-one forced you to buy a new appletv. your original appletv still does everything it did when you bought it. it hasn't lost any functionality (my 2 original ones haven't).

  • I can't use the "report a problem" Function in iTunes!

    I am trying to report a problem with an in-app purchase I made. I can see it on the receipt, however, when I click the "report a problem" button, it redirects me to the Apple Support home page, how do I go about reporting a problem with that purchase?

  • Outgoing SMTP Authentication Method Problem (functional option, require signin, not available)

    Hello all,
    I'm trying to set up an account on my Thunderbird and I'm having a weird problem. I can receive emails on it fine but I cannot send any emails. Whenever I try to send any emails I get the error message "Syntactically invalid EHLO argument(s)".
    This email address that I'm trying to add as an account on Thunderbird works perfectly fine in my Gmail Android app on my phone. The difference in the Outgoing SMTP settings are that on my (working) gmail app the Security Type = NONE and the "Require signin" box is CHECKED, whereas in Thunderbird I can set my Outgoing SMTP Security Type setting to = NONE but I do not have the option to "Require signin". All of the options that are available do not work.
    Is there any solution?
    Thank you!
    Best, Nick

    Hi Toad-Hall, thanks for offering to help. Here's the text below. Please let me know if you think this could be a Thunderbird issue, or more likely with my host...

  • Problems with an own crm-function-component

    Hi!
    We've (sometimes) problems after initial load from "R/3 standard" to "CRM online". Few datas are deleted and so on...
    We've detected that an own written function component is the reason for it. We've deactivate it in se37 and the initial load runs okay (it seems so).
    We've some fears to deactivate the function in this case 'cause the connections between the R/3-CRM-Mobile Sales are sensitive and complicated and we don't want to get another (the next) problem
    So we want to find out where the function component is called. We've used the old abap rsrscan1 to search in sources. We've used "utilities-find in sources", too but we couldn't find the call to our "problem function"... but it will be called. ...But from where?
    Can i find it anywhere in the customizing at crm - initial load?
    Have i another possibility searching for a function call in this case?
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards,
    Ingo

    The advice would be to do the basics.
    Restart, reset, restore.
    Try a reset.
    If that does not solve, then try a restore.

  • Select statement in a function does Full Table Scan

    All,
    I have been coding a stored procedure that writes 38K rows in less than a minute. If I add another column which requires call to a package and 4 functions within that package, it runs for about 4 hours. I have confirmed that due to problems in one of the functions, the code does full table scans. The package and all of its functions were written by other contractors who have been long gone.
    Please note that case_number_in (VARCHAR2) and effective_date_in (DATE) are parameters sent to the problem function and I have verified through TOAD’s debugger that their values are correct.
    Table named ps2_benefit_register has over 40 million rows but case_number is an index for that table.
    Table named ps1_case_fs has more than 20 million rows but also uses case_number as an index.
    Select #1 – causes full table scan runs and writes 38K rows in a couple of hours.
    {case}
    SELECT max(a2.application_date)
    INTO l_app_date
    FROM dwfssd.ps2_benefit_register a1, dwfssd.ps2_case_fs a2
    WHERE a2.case_number = case_number_in and
    a1.case_number = a2.case_number and
    a2.application_date <= effective_date_in and
    a1.DOCUMENT_TYPE = 'F';
    {case}
    Select #2 – runs – hard coding values makes the code to write the same 38K rows in a few minutes.
    {case}
    SELECT max(a2.application_date)
    INTO l_app_date
    FROM dwfssd.ps2_benefit_register a1, dwfssd.ps2_case_fs a2
    WHERE a2.case_number = 'A006438' and
    a1.case_number = a2.case_number and
    a2.application_date <= '01-Apr-2009' and
    a1.DOCUMENT_TYPE = 'F';
    {case}
    Why using the values in the passed parameter in the first select statement causes full table scan?
    Thank you for your help,
    Seyed

  • Satellite A135-S4527 - Drivers needed & Function Keys do not work

    Hello,
    I have a Satellite A135-S4527. But, when I got this computer it was without a recovery disk / Vista Reinstall Disk and the Vista OS that was installed was a bloated mess - it was highly used by a individual of lesser intellect. Anyway, I decided to take out that Hard Drive and put in my SSD with Windows XP Professional SP3.
    Thats when the problems started rolling in. Turns out Toshiba does not support Windows XP Operating System - I checked the site and was surprised to see a complete lack of support for Windows XP ( even though Windows XP is the dominant OS and was even more so when this laptop was made).
    I managed to get the drivers installed, for everything but the modem. Easiest to find drivers were from Intel for the Chipset / Motherboard and the Legacy Graphical Processing Unit. The thing is, I am not sure whether or not these are the official drivers and I am completely lost on the drivers for the modem. Any idea where I can acquire the -latest and greatest- drivers for all my components?
    Also there are a few problems,
    - Function Keys For Brightness Do Nothing
    - Laptop sometimes does not come out of sleep mode
    What can I do about the brightness keys? The monitor is sometimes a bit too bright to be comfortable to use. Yet I am having no luck making those keys actually do anything.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi
    From my knowledge this must be a Toshiba US notebook series.
    Therefore I visited the Toshiba US driver page to check the driver availability.
    And guess what? I found it but unfortunately there are no many Win XP drivers.
    There are Vista and Win 7 drivers available but no Win XP.
    I guess that this is everything what is available for Win XP.
    So what to do????
    I think you should try to install the missing tools which are released for other notebook series; for example A105-Sxxxxxx
    Maybe you will get the driver working
    Lets hope. Otherwise you will have to use the notebook without such functions

  • App Not Launching, Problem Reported, Dev (F84Games) Not Responding, Refund?

    Hi all, I really need help with the 'Railroad Madness' app purchased for my son's ipad (from F84Games in Los Angeles). When he tried to play/launch it the game just crashes immediately after the splash screen.
    Reporting the problem to Apple (through my itunes purchase history 'report a problem' function) suggested contacting the developer directly, which I have done, twice, via email and with an app review describing how the app does not work at all. I have asked F84Games either for a refund or a functioning replacement.
    I have patiently waited for over a week on a response from Apple or F84Games, with no reply from either, which has been very disappointing since my general experience is that Apple has excellent customer support. Since the fault of the application is because it does not launch at all (and not a simpler functional issue), it seems reasonable to me that they would send some kind of message responding to my request?
    Does Apple allow developers to post and sell 'bad' apps on the app store? I thought Apple had a rigorous approval/testing processes in place to prevent this sort of situation from happening in the first place?
    Since I have already reported the problem to Apple via iTunes, I cannot report it a second using a different label.
    Please, if anyone out there (or Apple, if you are monitoring these discussions) can advise how I can have my problem resolved, purchase refunded, or get some sort of human reply from Apple support; or at least have the faulty 'Railroad Madness' game removed from the app store so that others do not waste $4.99 I would be most thankful and appreciative.
    Thank you, Steve

    Hello Lauren, greetings from Australia.
    I (and my son) really appreciate the message, thanks!
    We look forward to seeing the updated version of Railroad Madness to enjoy playing on our iPad. I hope we have not put you all to too much trouble.
    BTW, I tried Ian's suggestions but was unsuccessful. Maybe the problem has something to do with running under the new version of the OS?
    Again, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post.

  • Help with creating a shuffleList function...

    I have the following function, which creates and populates a vertical column of draggable clips and populates the dynamic text boxes within the movie clips with data from an xml file, effectively creating an ordered list of movie clips
    The code works fine, but I am having some difficulties with the shuffleList function. What I would like to do is randomly sort the data contained in dragClip1.answerText.text so that the ordered list of movie clips becomes an unordered list.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    ~Chipleh
    function createListContent(evt:Number):void{
      var xmlObjectListLength:Number = xml.sim.bodyText.page[evt].para.q.length();
      for(var i:Number = 0; i<xmlObjectListLength;i++)
       var listObjectAttributes:XMLList = xml.sim.bodyText.page[evt].para.q;
       addChild(objectContainer);
       var dragClip1:dragClip = new dragClip();
       objectContainer.addChild(dragClip1);
       dragClip1.answerText.text = xml.sim.bodyText.page[evt].para.q[i];
       dragClip1.x = 0;
       dragClip1.y = (dragClip1.height * i);
       dragClip1.totalClips = xmlObjectListLength;
      shuffleList(dragClip1.totalClips);
    function shuffleList(listCount:Number,dragClipListText:Array):void
    //Not really sure where to start with this function or how to go about shuffling the data
    for(var i:Number = 0; i<listCount+1;i++)
       var aTarget:Object = objectContainer.getChildByName("listObject" + i);
       var theTarget:Object = objectContainer.getChildByName("listObject" + i);
       theTarget.answerText.text = aTarget.answerText.text;

    Hi Ned,
    Thanks for the reply. I have come up with this function, using an array like you suggested, but htere is one problem:
    function shuffleList(listCount:Number,dragClipListText:Array):void
    var tempArr:Array = new Array();
    for(var i:int =0;i<listCount;i++)
      var theTarget:Object = objectContainer.getChildByName("listObject" + i);
      trace("theTarget = "+ theTarget.name);
      tempArr.push(theTarget.answerText.text);
    trace("temp = "+ tempArr);
    var myArray:Array = new Array();
    while (tempArr.length > 0)
      var r:int = Math.floor(Math.random()*tempArr.length);
      myArray.push(tempArr[r]);
      tempArr.splice(r,1);
      var listString:String = myArray.toString();
      trace("listString = "+ listString);
      theTarget.answerText.text = listString;
    trace("myArray =" +myArray)
    I can see my arrays of data being traced out properly, but all the data is populated in the last movie clip, per:
    theTarget.answerText.text = listString;
    So the data in all movie clips remain uneffected aside from the last clip, which is populated with ALL the listString data.
    Hopefully this is clear. If not, let me know and I will try to clarify further.

  • Internet Problems - poor connectivity

    I have a Lenovo X100e laptop with Windows 7 Professional. It's been a great computer, but when I go on the internet, it behaves as if the connection is slow or wonky, even if the connection is fast. This is especially true of video streaming, which stutters so much, it's virtually impossible to watch Netflix or YouTube or any other video streaming service. This is otherwise a great computer so I really want to fix this, rather than buy another computer.
    I have used this laptop on my home network with both wifi and direct connection with the same behavior. I have diagnosed my network speed and its good, usually around 20Mps, plus I've tried this laptop in public places like Whole Foods and it behaves the same: wonky connection. I have an old Dell Latitude that works and it runs the internet great on the same network, and I've used my phone on my home wifi and it works great, so it's clearly the Lenovo.
    The network adapters are 11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II and Realtek PVIe GBE Family Controller. I checked the drivers for both (using Device Manager), and they are both current. I used the "diagnose problems" function and found nothing. I googled for problems with them and didn't find much.
    There is also a Qualcom Gobi 2000 listed (Wireless WAN Driver for Windows 7) under Other Devices and it says "There is no driver selected for the device information set or element." I tried updating the driver, but got an error saying "Windows could not find driver software for your device." I have no clue if this is relevant.
    Also, the laptop plays video with no issues if it's a file on the local drive, like mp4, so I don't think video is the problem per se. It's the general communication with a network. Let me repeat that I don't think this is a wifi issue because I get the same behavior even if I plug a network cable in directly to my router.
    Also, I have tried multiple updated browsers including Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Plus, I have run multiple virus scans and nothing is found.
    I rviewed the other internet problem posts on this forum, but they don't seem to be the same problem I am having. I can get on the internet, it's just wonky. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regarding Gobi 2000:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS001302 - drivers;
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS003751 - boot code utility driver needs.
    Install them yourself. Four devices should appear in Device Manager.
    Further steps depend of the network carrier you work with. If the carrier is Verizon or AT&T you should install and launch Mobile Broadband Activation softwate:
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS001619
    If you work with another carrier there is a chance you'll need additional help. Let us know.

  • Stored function not returning result set unless recompiled

    Hi,
    I have a strange situation going on with a basic Java (1.6.0.17) application talking to an Oracle 11g (11.2.0.1.0) database. Basically what is happening is that sometimes a stored function's return value (a result set) is not making it as far as JDBC/Java, unless I recompile the stored function (with absolutely no changes to the application or function's code). I am always able to successfully see the result set if I call the function directly from within SQL Developer, just not on the Java app/JDBC side.
    I've tried running with 3 different physical Oracle 11g servers and tried running the app on a couple of machines. I'm wondering if this is either some kind of caching issue or perhaps a JDBC bug/misconfiguration.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached to this message:
    1. stored function code
    2. snippet of Java app code
    3. ODBC trace output when returned a empty result set (ie failure scenario)
    4. ODBC trace out when returned the correct result set (ie success scenario)

  • Ibook G4 problems - broken or not?

    Hi All (new to here),
    I was using my G4 (adobe, word) and then tried to start safari as well. The screen went fuzzy, so I turned it off incase something was being damaged (had a processor fry before). When I tried to restart, the fan kicked in first for a couple of seconds, then start up noise, but then black screen came up, a line of black and white dots came along top of screen (then faded away) and a white light kinda of moved through the black screen,finally the whole screen went black. I tried a couple of times to restart but same thing.
    Then I left comp off, came back next day and it started up no problems, functioning fine. Unfortunately this only lasted for approx 5 minutes before the screen froze. I restarted it again and all was fine for a couple of more minutes. Then subsequent start ups was a repeat of above. I have been trying to get it going but it just does either of described above (works well for 5 mins or starts up into black/white screen).
    Finally I have tried to use Install disks to reinstall but the comp freezes during the process and I never get anywhere. I also started up holding C (with disk in drive) or holding shift (no disk), but no luck. Because it works intermittently I am not sure if there is actually anything wrong and is just a software thing that I am not sure how to fix? Or is it on its last dying legs?
    Thanks All.

    first and foremost - back up your data.
    it could be that the display cable is getting pinched inside the case (where it connects by the hinge). depending on how adventurous you are feeling, you could follow the take apart guide for your model over at ifixit.com:
    "If your backlight isn't working, the inverter may be bad. Other parts that may be bad are the display or the logic board. *If your backlight fails intermittently while moving the display, the problem is with the inverter cables.* Otherwise it is impossible to test for damaged parts without replacing them one by one. If you are comfortable taking apart the display assembly, replace the display inverter first, then replace the LCD. If you are not comfortable with this, you can replace both parts at once by replacing the display assembly if you have a processor speed of 1.33 GHz or less. Choose this display assembly if you have a 1.42 GHz Processor. If this still doesn't solve your problem, you need a new logic board."
    you could try emailing ifixit's tech support. i think they would be more willing to troubleshoot your problem and sell you parts or a repair solution.
    i have also found that the genius bar isn't up to speed on fixing older macs (more than 2 years old). they would rather sell new, cuz that's what they do...
