check that the user CF is running under has proper
permissions to access

Performance problem when accessing data reside in sql server2005
I'm using oracle 11g installed on windows 2008 R2 platform .
i was created link to sql 2005 using gateway 11g and it work normal .
my problem is when I'm trying to access data using where clause containing OR operator like this :
select * from tb@dg4msql where field1 = 'a' or field2 = 'a'
this query takes long times to be respond .
but this problem does not appear when using AND operator .
please if any body can help me to resolve this problem .you need to check if the query using the OR operator is post processed. Post processing means ALL records from the remote foreign database stored in the affected table are transferred into the local Oracle db and the result is then processed locally. Depending on the amount of data this might take a while.
A way to check the statement sent to the remote database if it includes the OR operater is to use explain plan or you can also set the gateway tracing to status ON. -
Problem while accessing object in remote database
Hi All,
We have a procedure "UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS" created in the remote databse in the "apps" schema. The synonym for the procedure is created in the billing schema(present in the remote database). A dblink is created the local database through which we are tring to access the remote object "UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS".
Dblink script:
create public database link PRE_TO_CEL
connect to BILLING
identified by BILLING
using 'MAP1';
When trying to access the object from the local machine using the schema name.object_name it works fine:
SQL> DESC APPS.UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS@PRE_TO_CEL
PROCEDURE APPS.UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS@PRE_TO_CEL
Argument Name Type In/Out Default?
IN_MOBILE VARCHAR2 IN
IN_SERVICE_CODE VARCHAR2 IN
IN_STATUS VARCHAR2 IN
OUT_ERROR_CODE NUMBER OUT
But when trying the access the same object using the synonym_name it gives the error:
SQL> DESC UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS@PRE_TO_CEL
ERROR:
ORA-04043: object APPS.UPDATE_CONV_DETAILS does not exist
Regards,
KirtiYou have two schema.
apps
billing
both reside in remote database.
there on procedure and on procedure u create one synonym and u want to access it.
ur remote database name is "map1"
on ur local database ur create one dblink to access remote database.
ORA-04043: object string does not exist
Cause: An object name was specified that was not recognized by the system. There are several possible causes:
- An invalid name for a table, view, sequence, procedure, function, package, or package body was entered. Since the system could not recognize the invalid name, it responded with the message that the named object does not exist.
- An attempt was made to rename an index or a cluster, or some other object that cannot be renamed.
Action: Check the spelling of the named object and rerun the code. (Valid names of tables, views, functions, etc. can be listed by querying the data dictionary.) -
Problem in accessing Data Source Deployed in JBoss using JNDI

Having problem with accessing data in CRM machine
Hi,
I have a search functionality which searches for the records existing depending on the Id number passed... But every time i am trying to execute the BAPI it is giving me an
"Internal Server Error" if there are records existing for the given ID number...
But for any other ID number which does not have any records, the BAPI is executed.. Can anyone help me out with this...hi,
Quite literally an "Internal Server Error" is an error on the server that you're trying to access. That server is misconfigured in some way that is preventing it from responding properly to what you're asking for.
sometime it may arise due to cache, but i am not sure about your case.
try accessing bapi from r/3 for both the condition, if it gets executed well then it is some server error or cache error
hope it helps

Problem running Access 2013 on a Remote Desktop
Folks:
We have Office 2013 Pro installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server running Remote Desktop Services. Multiple people log into the server through Citrix XenApp and use the Office applications without problem. Every few weeks (and sometimes few days),
the Access 2013 gets funky -- buttons disappear, tables and queries don't show up in the navigation bar after they are created. Has anyone else seen this and is there a solution to this problem? Please advise.
Thanks,
DDD
Debbie Data ArchitectDoes this only happen when you access via a remote desktop connection? what if you access it locally?
Probably install all available updates and then try again. Also, troubleshooting on the add-ins aspect and see if any of the third party add-in is causing the issue. -

How can I notify staff of updated data if they do not have access to the remote data?
We have a shortcoming on one of our major programs that will not be fixed for at least one year. I want to create a notice for staff when there are pending requests for local offices. I am using a remote view to check if there are new requests from
local offices:
SELECT xxx_yyyyy_request_queue.COMMENTS;
FROM xxx_yyyyy_REQUEST_QUEUE xxx_yyyyy_request_queue;
WHERE xxx_yyyyy_request_queue.MODIFIED_BY IS NULL
I use the remote view as the data source for a table and have a small window that stays on top that I can see if there is an order. I trigger the remote view using a timer event.
This is fine as a stop-gap. However, I cannot run this on the machines of the staff that need the notice: they do not have the correct version of Oracle, they do not have access to that remote data, we do not want multiple machines triggering the same query
every 15 seconds, etc.
Is there a way that I can notify other users of the change in the data fro the remote view. My original thought was to update a local table with the view reults and have a companion routine notify them of changes to that table. However, I do not see how
the SQL used by VFP accomodates the "INTO" clause.
Your help is appreciated.data.
At least your query seems to get data where MODIFIED_BY IS NULL, doesn't it?
So if the reccount is>0 there is a reason to inform your employees.
Bye, Olaf.

ADS, Problem accessing data from Destination
Hello All,
I'm facing an error when executing transaction TRIP.
If I use the standard Adobe form it's OK no error.
If I use a Z-form copy of this standard form (after doing customizing in PE03) I have an error message: Error while initiating travel form
When I was deeper in the debugging I found that there was an exception rose which is:
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing data from Destination: ...
I found some threads talking about ADS and transaction SM59u2026
When testing the connection in tx SM59 I have an error message 403: forbidden access
Is it the cause of the error generated in TRIP tx?
If yes why using the standard form works fine??
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Moez.Hello Otto,
Yes I'm using the same user for the two forms.
It works for the standard form and not for the Z-form.
That's why I'm expecting a customizing issue to resolve this problem.
All solution that I found are talking about administration and Visual Admin tool.
Regards,
Moez. -
SYSTEM ERROR : com/adobe.processingexception:Problem accessing data from De
Hi SAP Guru,
We have configured ADOBE for separate ABAP server and Java Server.
But when I am execution report FP_TEST_00 getting below error
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Problem accessing d(200101) Message no. FPRUNX001

But report fp_pdf_test_00 is giving postive response.
I have troubles hooted according to note 944221 , my configuration is ok but no success.
Please help to resolve this issue.Hi,

Com.adobe.processingException : Problem accessing data from destination
hi guys,
i have an ECC 6.0 server(db : sql) and i am getting the below error while testing the destination service
(((com.adobe.processingException:Problem accessing data from destination
dest: fp_icf_data_isp)))
i checked rfc connection and it is working fine .
i dont remember the ADS_AGENT password for checking the user.but i have provided all the required roles for that.
please guide me to resolve this issueHi
When you say you checked the rfc are you refering to the one in SM59? The fp_icf_data_isp should be an entry in the visual admin of the server that runs the ADS. In the visual admin under server->services->destinations goto to the http folder and check that there is an entry with that name there. Also the address should be http://<host of abap system>:<abap http port> and the client field and username field should be filled in.
Regards
Thashin -
This error message has many threads. However, I have not seen any postings for NW CE 7.1. The configuration for this version of JAVA and ADS is very different from any of the documentation that we have found. We suspect a config issue but cannot find any pertinent documentation for ADS configuration and NW CE 7.1 (we are SP11).
Where can we find ADS configuration documentation for NW CE 7.1?
Please help.
So far, we are mainly using test FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE which seems to prove that the destination configuration is the problem. Fortunately, some of the configuration was automated. But not all. Thanks for the help, so far. I have gotten one step closer by manually starting all processes and services related to Adobe Document Services. CE 7.1 is quite a bit different.
I can now get a byte count returned with the test FP_CHECK_DESTINATION_SERVICE in SE38 without checking the "with destination service" box. When I check the box, I still get the "Problem accessing data from Destination: dest:FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>//sap/bc/fp/ message".
The problem is related to the return of the rendering service from the Java side via the Java destination service.
Note that the ABAP side with the problem is ECC 6.0 EHP3 SP1. -
Problem getting correct data from MS Access after doing an Update
Hi all,
I have a problem getting correct data after doing an update. This is the scenario
I am selecting some(Eg: All records where Column X = 7 ) records and update a column with a particular value (SET Column X = c ) in all these records by going through a while loop. In the while loop I add these records to a vector too, and pass it as the return value.
After getting this return value I go through a for loop and get each record one by one from the DB and check if my previous update has actually happened. Since No errors were caught while updating DB, I assume all records are updated properly but my record set shows one after another as if it has not been updated. But if I open the DB it is actually updated.
This does not happen to all records, always it shows like this
1st record Mode = c
2nd record Mode = 7
3st record Mode = c
4nd record Mode = 7
9th record Mode = c
10th record Mode = 7
I am relatively new to java and this is someone elses code that I have to modify,So I am not sure if there some thing wrong in the code too
//Here is the method that gets records and call to update and add to vector

Can you put an example of your problem online?
Are you sure you're not having problems with case sensitive data?
Thanks,

I started preparing a small Database application. I want to display all the Table Names which are in the 'MS Access' Data Source.
I started to executing by "Select * from Tab" as if in SQL.
But i got an error saying that "Not able to resolve Symbol 'Tab' in the query".
Please let me know how can i display all the table Names in the MS Access Dats Source. Here i am developing the application in Swing using JDBC for accessing the database.
I want to display all the Table names from the data source in a ListBox for easy selection of tables to view their details. -
Access MS Access database on remote computer (shared folder)
Hello,
I need some help.
I've made a program and it works fine on my computer, but multiple users will be using program simultaneously, each one on his own computer conected over local network to mine computer (database is on my computer in shared folder).
When I try to access data on database (path is path of shared folder) i'm getting error 5013 (no database). The problem occurs only when I'm trying to read something from MS access database but not if I try to read data from .txt file, then it works fine...
I'm using ADO Tools
Can someone help me, I would be very greatful?
Solved!
Go to Solution. Thanks to you Dennis I've managed to figure it out.
I'll explain this for future generations
1) I've created DSN. To do that open ODBC Data Source Administrator:
- for 64 bit app C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe
- for 32 bit app C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
In System DSN tab click Add.. then choose Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) (If you do not have this on list download that drivers from web) --> FINISH.
Enter Data Source Name (mine is Test2) --> Select... --> now because the MS Access database is on shared folder on remote PC go to Network... --> Browse... and select that shared folder --> Finish. Now you'll see all .mdb files on that folder and you choose your database --> OK --> OK --> OK
2) Now in block diagram you connect string "DSN=your_dsn_name;" (mine was Test2) to ConnectionString connector of ADO Connection Open.vi
It worked for me.
