Kinldy help me ...thanks in advance

Do you want to view unparsed xml in the textarea? You have to replace at least the HTML entities < and > by & lt; and & gt;, so that they don't get parsed inside the HTML structure. Here is an overview of those entities: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_entities.asp
You can use String#replaceAll() for this.

  • Problem with displaying chart data

    Hello everybody,
    I have problem with displaying chart data correctly. I'm using a cartesian chart with DateTimeAxis. The stockdata I'm using is for half a year and
    with ticks for every day. The problem is, that Flex displays the data of february in march together with the data of march. I have added a picture
    to show the result. The second column of the grid is for february and the third for march.
    Could anybody help me with this problem. Thanks in advance.
    Thomas

    Hi Chris,
    thanks for your reply. Here you get the source code:
    The following method creates the LineChart:
            public function init():void
                model.upperChart = this;
                model.upperChartStyle.setChartViewStyle(this);
                this.hAxis = new MyDateTimeAxis();
                model.upperChartData.configureHAxis(this.hAxis);
                this.vAxis = new LinearAxis();
                model.upperChartData.configureVAxis(this.vAxis);
                this.vAxisTitle = new Label();
                this.vAxisTitle.text = model.upperChartData.getVAxisTitle();
                model.upperChartStyle.setVAxisTitleLabelStyle(this.vAxisTitle);
                this.vAxisTitle.x = 10
                this.vAxisTitle.y = 0;
                this.addChild(this.vAxisTitle);
                this.myChart = new CartesianChart();
                //remove default datatip
                this.myChart.showDataTips = false;
                this.myChart.x = 10;
                this.myChart.y = 0;
                this.myChart.width = 768;
                this.myChart.height = 196;
                model.upperChartStyle.setChartStyle(this.myChart);
                this.addChild(this.myChart);
                //Remove line shadow
                this.myChart.seriesFilters = null;
                this.myChart.horizontalAxis = this.hAxis;
                this.myChart.verticalAxis = this.vAxis;
                this.hAxisRenderer = new AxisRenderer();
                model.upperChartData.configureHAxisRenderer(this.hAxisRenderer);
                this.hAxisRenderer.axis = this.hAxis;
                model.upperChartStyle.setHAxisRendererStyle(this.hAxisRenderer);
                this.myChart.horizontalAxisRenderers.push(this.hAxisRenderer);
                this.vAxisRenderer = new AxisRenderer();
                model.upperChartData.configureVAxisRenderer(this.vAxisRenderer);
                this.vAxisRenderer.axis = this.vAxis;
                model.upperChartStyle.setVAxisRendererStyle(this.vAxisRenderer);
                this.myChart.verticalAxisRenderers.push(this.vAxisRenderer);
                model.upperChartStyle.setVAxisDataLabelStyle(this.vAxisMinLabel);
                this.addChild(this.vAxisMinLabel);
                model.upperChartStyle.setSeriesStyle(model.upperChartData.series, model.upperChartData.shares);
                this.myChart.dataProvider = model.upperChartData.dataProvider;
                this.myChart.series = model.upperChartData.series;
    The data for dataprovider and series you can see in attached file dataprovider.xml.
    xfield is equivalent to timestamp
    yfield is equivalent to absolute
    I think the problem could be the configuration of the datetimeaxis. The following method shows the parameter for the datetimeaxis:
            public function configureHAxis(axis:MyDateTimeAxis):void
                axis.parseFunction = UtilityClass.parseYYYYMMDDHHNNSSString2Date;
                axis.dataUnits = "days";
                axis.dataInterval = 1;
                axis.title = "";
                axis.minimum = new Date(UtilityClass.parseYYYYMMDDHHNNSSString2Date("2009-01-07 00:00:00").time);
                axis.maximum = new Date(UtilityClass.parseYYYYMMDDHHNNSSString2Date("2009-07-06 00:00:00").time);
    And finally you get the function, that I'm using for string to date conversion:
            public static function parseYYYYMMDDHHNNSSString2Date(input:String):Date
                var result:Date = new Date();
                var year:Number = Number(input.substring(0,4));
                var month:Number = Number(input.substring(5,7));
                var date:Number = Number(input.substring(8,10));
                var hours:Number = Number(input.substring(11,13));
                var minutes:Number = Number(input.substring(14,16));
                var seconds:Number = Number(input.substring(17,19));
                result.setUTCFullYear(year);
                result.setUTCMonth(month-1);
                result.setUTCDate(date);
                result.setUTCHours(hours);
                result.setUTCMinutes(minutes);
                result.setUTCSeconds(seconds);
                return result;
    I hope that will help to locate the reason for the wrong chart visualization.
    Thanks for any help.

    thanx for the re Dalerich1, but no, unfortunately i have a
    banking CRM-app which i have to simulate, and within that
    simulation swf there has to be that functionality.
    plus, since the app is still in development, it may change
    within the next couple of weeks, so i'd have to be able to record
    the functionality again with captivate (customer requirement) &
    then efficiently & quickly make it work like in the real thing.
    otherwise (if thmy customer wouldn't insist in using
    captivate) i might have dropped captivate in favor of flash a long
    time ago...
    any other directions anybody? i can't believe this simple
    task is costing me so much time and effort.
    thanx

    Please help.
    P.S. sorry for my very bad english.

    Hi Lekser,
    ntsii is totally right.
    Calling httpservice send is a async operation, which means
    you don´t know when the result event of such operation will
    return.
    You can also sort your grid after a xml data file was loaded.
    At least it would guarantee that the entries appear in the
    right order.
    best regards,

  • Displaying XML data in dynamic text box

    I'm attempting to display external XML data in a dynamic text box. When I test preview my code, the information that I want to display shows up in the Output window, so I know that its linked and works. My trouble is creating the code that will link to my (txtBox) and displaying when previewed. Please take a look at the files below if you have any time to offer suggestions.
    Thank you!
    Andy

    That's not an error, it's just a warning and flash is suggesting that if you use appendText vs. +=, that your results may display faster
    if you don't want to see the warning, you can take the suggestion and use:
    txtBox.appendText(bldg.S11[i].SF.text());
    txtBox.appendText(bldg.S11[i].Tenant.text());
    txtBox.appendText(bldg.S11[i].Status.text());

  • Problem displaying XML data in XSL page

    Hi There!
    I'm having trouble when adding XML data from the schema (which shows up  properly in the bindings panel)  to the XSL page..
    Following the step by step available here...
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dreamweaver/cs/using/WScbb6b82af5544594822 510a94ae8d65-7a56a.html#ionCTAAnchor
    After  adding the XML item to the XSL file it ends up showing  up as  parent/client/name   (no brackets)  Instead of like the  example above  where it should display as {parent/client/name} and be  highlighted.    Also when previewing the XSL document it just shows   'parent/client/name'  instead of the actuall XML content..
    I  believe the XML data source is properly attached because it shows up in  the bindings panel..  But I don't know what else could be going wrong..
    Any help would be great!

    This is being enhanced to that the [...] button that appears in the data grid is available for all grid of data so that a popup with an extended area is shown.

  • DataGrid does not display XML data

    Hello, and thanks for reading this...
    I am having a problem displaying XMLList data in a DataGrid.
    The data is coming from a Tree control, which is receiving it
    from a database using HTTPService.
    The data is a list of "Job Orders" from a MySQL database,
    being formatted as XML by a PHP page.
    If it would be helpful to see the actual XML, a sample is
    here:
    http://www.anaheimwib.com/_login/get_all_orders_test2.php
    All is going well until I get to the DataGrid, which doesn't
    display the data, although I know it is there as I can see it in
    debug mode. I've checked the dataField property of the appropriate
    DataGrid column, and it appears correct.
    Following is a summary of the relevant code.
    ...An HTTPService named "get_all_job_orders" retrieves
    records from a MySQL database via PHP...
    ...Results are formatted as E4X:
    HTTPService resultFormat="e4x"
    ...An XMLListCollection's source property is set to the
    returned E4X XML results:
    ...The "order" node is what is being used as the top-level of
    the XML data.
    <mx:XMLListCollection id="jobOrdersReviewXMLList"
    source="{get_all_job_orders.lastResult.order}"/>
    ...The "jobOrdersReviewXMLList" collection is assigned to be
    the dataProvider property of a Tree list, using the @name syntax to
    display the nodes correctly, and a change event function is defined
    to add the records to a DataGrid on a separate Component for
    viewing the XML records:
    <mx:Tree dataProvider="{jobOrdersReviewXMLList}"
    labelField="@name"
    change="jobPosForm.addTreePositionsToDG(event)"/>
    ...Here is the relevant "jobPosForm" code (the Job Positions
    Form, a separate Component based on a Form) :
    ...A variable is declared:
    [Bindable]
    public var positionsArray:XMLList;
    ...The variable is initialized on CreationComplete event of
    the Form:
    positionsArray = new XMLList;
    ...The Tree's change event function is defined within the
    "jobPosForm" Component.
    ...Clicking on a Tree node fires the Change event.
    ...This passes an event object to the function.
    ...This event object contains the XML from the selected Tree
    node.
    ...The Tree node's XML data is passed into the positionsArray
    XMLList.
    ...This array is the dataProvider for the DataGrid, as you
    will see in the following block.
    public function addTreePositionsToDG(event:Event):void{
    this.positionsArray = selectedNode.positions.position;
    ...A datagrid has its dataProvider is bound to
    positionsArray.
    ...(I will only show one column defined here for brevity.)
    ...This column has its dataField property set to "POS_TITLE",
    a field in the returned XML record:
    <mx:DataGrid width="100%" variableRowHeight="true"
    height="75%" id="dgPositions"
    dataProvider="{positionsArray}" editable="false">
    <mx:columns>
    <mx:DataGridColumn width="25" headerText="Position Title"
    dataField="POS_TITLE"/>
    </mx:columns>
    </mx:DataGrid>
    In debug mode, I can examine the datagrid's dataProvider
    property, and see that the correct XML data from the Tree control
    is present. However, The datagrid does not display the data in any
    of its 6 columns.
    Does anyone have any advice?
    Thanks for your time.

    Hello again,
    I came up with a method of populating the DataGrid from the
    selected Item of a Tree Control which displays complex XML data and
    XML attributes. After the user clicks on a Tree branch, I call this
    function:
    public function addTreePositionsToDG(event:Event):void{
    //Retrieve all "position" nodes from tree.
    //Loop thru each Position.
    //Add Position data to the positionsArray Array Collection.
    //The DataGrid dataprovider is bound to this array, and will
    be updated.
    positionsArray = new ArrayCollection();
    var selectedNode:Object=event.target.selectedItem;//Contains
    entire branch.
    for each (var position:XML in
    selectedNode.positions.position){
    var posArray:Array = new Array();
    posArray.PK_POSITIONID = position.@PK_POSITIONID;
    posArray.FK_ORDERID = position.@FK_ORDERID;
    posArray.POS_TITLE = position.@POS_TITLE;
    posArray.NUM_YOUTH = position.@NUM_YOUTH;
    posArray.AGE_1617 = position.@AGE_1617;
    posArray.AGE_1821 = position.@AGE_1821;
    posArray.HOURS_WK = position.@HOURS_WK;
    posArray.WAGE_RANGE_FROM = position.@WAGE_RANGE_FROM;
    posArray.WAGE_RANGE_TO = position.@WAGE_RANGE_TO;
    posArray.JOB_DESCR = position.@JOB_DESCR;
    posArray.DES_SKILLS = position.@DES_SKILLS;
    positionsArray.addItem(posArray);
    So, I just had to manually go through the selected Tree node,
    copy each XML attribute into a simple Array, then ADD this Array to
    an ArrayCollection being used as the DataProvider for the DataGrid.
    It's not elegant, but it works and I don't have to use a Label
    Function, which was getting way too complicated. I still think that
    Flex should have an easier way of doing this. There probably is an
    easier way, but the Flex documentation doesn't provide an easy path
    to it.
    I want to thank you, Tracy, for the all the help. I checked
    out the examples you have at www.cflex.net and they are very
    helpful. I bookmarked the site and will be using it as a resource
    from now on.

  • Problem with Refreshing the data bound text fields

    Folks,
    First of all, this a GREAT product and I am moving my apps from Eclipse to Studio Creator. I am very impessed with it so far.
    I am gone through most tutorials, but can't help resolve the problem that I am having. I have a page, that lists all the users in a table. When you click on any user, it opens up another page that lists the detail of the specific user you have clicked on. This a typical use in most web applications, right?
    In the user detail page, I open it in "Read" only mode, by setting the "setReadOnly" to true for all text field components. Then users can edit it by clicking "Edit" button. Edit button just changes the "setReadOnly" to false, to allow editing. After editing, they can hit the "Save" button to save the changes. In the save button, I call this code:
    public void prerender() {
            try {
                userID=getSessionBean1().getUserID();
                getSessionBean1().getWeb_userRowSetUserDetail().setObject(1,userID);

            this.user_phone_client.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_home.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
            this.user_phone_office.setReadOnly(_readOnly);
        }When the save button is clicked, the database is updated (as I can verify by looking directly into the database), but the data-bound text fields do not display the new value. YES, I am calling refresh() on data provider? I tried to call refresh in both "preRender()" and "Save" button action event, but that did not help either.
    Please note that the save button also changes the "setReadOnly" back to TRUE for all text fields. That means, users view the page in Read-Only mode after saving. (They have to click on "Edit" button again to edit it). I discovered that if I do not set the text field components in "ReadOnly" mode, then they display the updated value of the fields. But if I change setReadOnly to TRUE, then they display the old values (before the save).
    Any idea what I am doing wrong here?
    Thanks

    Here is my experience with it. I have three text
    boxes to be filled out. They are part of a virtual
    form with an add button as the submit. You can fill
    out the 3 and add them and a node is added to a tree
    component. When you click on a node in the tree
    component (the submit to another virtual form that
    the 3 buttons participate in) the text fields should
    be loaded with the values that they where added with.Hard to tell from this explanation, but if the text fields do not participate in a virtual form, then they are not going to get updated when an action in the virtual form happens. Not sure this is your problem. Like I say, hard to tell from this explanation.
    They will not display the values though...having
    nothing to do with read only. If I disable them
    before hand...they display the updated values. If I
    set their value at the top or bottom of prerender,
    they display the change...if I set the value in an if
    conditional that is hit (I have checked many times)
    in prerender, they will not display the values. If I
    set them in the tree handler anywhere, they will not
    display the values. This is very frustrating and is
    wasting tons of my time...I simply want to load the
    text fields based on the tree node that was
    clicked...I have messed with this for hours and it
    certainly does not work.Well, setting them in the tree handler won't work because the tree handler gets called in the page instance that handles the submit and not the page instance that renders the response.
    Posting your prerender code might help. Also, your action handler.

  • How to Display XML data on a Window within my JDev App?

    I want to display some XML data stored on the database (in a CLOB field) in such a way that the XML tags and values are colored/highlighted as if they were read in a browser like Internet Explorer.
    Currently I am displaying the data using a JEditorPane field and the results are hard to read as the tags and values show on the same color and in plain text.
    I want to dispay this within my application (9i), not going to an external browser; i.e. I want the window (panel) to act as a browser when displaying the data.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    You can use utl_http in the database to call the webservice and display the result in a form item.
    Example:
    http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/9i/ConsumingWebServices9i.php

  • Problem in transforming xml data to HTML

    Hai all,
    I am new to J developer, I have generated XML data to transform to HTML.
    Below is my xsql file with the name 'simpleqry.xsql'
    <?xml version='1.0' ?>
    <page xmlns:xsql="urn:oracle-xsql" connection="java:comp/env/jdbc/testDS">
    <xsql:query max-rows="-1" tag-case="lower" null-indicator="no">SELECT EMPNO,ENAME,SAL FROM EMP WHERE SAL &gt;= 5000</xsql:query>
    </page>
    it is producing the XML datas
    Further I need to convert it into HTML
    so I generated xsl stylesheet in under META-INF with the name 'EmpDetails.xsl'
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output encoding="ISO-8859-1" method="text/html" />
    <xsl:template match="/page">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Employee Results</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <H2> EMPLOYEE QUERY RESULTS</H2>
    <h5><em> Following demonstrates XSQL query</em></h5>
    <table border="1" cellspacing="1" align="center">
    <tr bgcolor=" #F9F0C1">
    <th>EMP ID</th>
    <th>EMPLOYEE NAME</th>
    <th>SALARY</th>
    </tr>
    <xsl:for-each select="ROWSET/ROW">
    <tr>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="EMPNO"/></td>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="ENAME"/></td>
    <td><xsl:value-of select="SAL"/></td>
    </tr>
    </xsl:for-each>
    </table>
    </body>
    </html>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    next I have added the following to simpleqry.xsql
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="EmpResults.xsl" ?>
    so my simpleqry.xsql file look like this
    <?xml version='1.0' ?>
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="C:\JDeveloper\mywork\Application1\querysql\public_html\WEB-INF\EmpDetails.xsl" ?>
    <page xmlns:xsql="urn:oracle-xsql" connection="java:comp/env/jdbc/testDS">
    <xsql:query max-rows="-1" tag-case="lower" null-indicator="no">SELECT EMPNO,ENAME,SAL FROM EMP WHERE SAL &gt;= 5000</xsql:query>
    </page>
    when I rerun my simpleqry.xsql file it not generating the output .
    My J developer version is 'Oracle IDE 11.1.2.0.38.60.17'
    I know I made it lengthy. I made it clear so that you can understand my problem clearly. Please explain me how to solve the above mentioned problem(To generate HTML from XML data)
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Uraja

    next I have added the following to simpleqry.xsql
    +<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="EmpResults.xsl" ?>+
    so my simpleqry.xsql file look like this
    +<?xml version='1.0' ?>+
    +<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="C:\JDeveloper\mywork\Application1\querysql\public_html\WEB-INF\EmpDetails.xsl" ?>+
    What is added is different from what is listed in the XSQL, the xsl is different, the path to xsl is different.
    Specify relative path for xsl.

  • Problem in importing XML Data In Acrobat - X

    Hello All,
    I have a LiveCycle form where I am embedding a sample XML into it. (No data connection and no binding). After filling the form when the user clicks the submit button before submitting the XML it removes all the nodes of the sample XML that's embedded to it so that the exported data is encapsulated within the field tag/attribute.
    We can again import the submitted XML back into the form to do some  manual editing.It works fine in Acrobat - 9 Pro. But when I try to  import the submitted XML data back into the form in the Acrobat - X it  shows the error : "Could not load data from Text file".It does not give  any error while importing the sample XML into the form. I am totally  confused. What could be the problem here ?
    LiveCycle version - ES 8.2
    Thanks.

  • XML Data in Text Field Issue

    LC ES 8.2.1.3
    I have a web service that outputs XML data and Designer calls the webservice and the XML data populates a text field.  This works fine.
    My problem is getting the data out of the text field to populate different fields in my form.  I have done many searches and have tried many different things but still can't get the data out.  I have made sure my form is dynamic xml.
    Here is the last thing I have tried:
    -------Begin Code -----------
    Placed in testData:Intialize and the connectionSet is placed in Page1:Initialize.
    var myXML = XMLData.parse(xmlData.rawValue, false);
    var subNames = XMLData.applyXPath(myXML, "//Subordinates/Subordinate/full_name");
    if (subNames == null) {
    //no data
    } else if (subNames.length == null) {
      //not array, just a single value
      topmostSubform.Page2.testData.addItem(subName.value);
      } else {
       for (var i = 0; i < subNames.length; i++) {
        topmostSubform.Page2.testData.addItem(subName.item(i).value);
    -------End Code -----------
    I have been working on this for 3 days and still can't get it to work.  The closest I have come is output in my testData text field that said "Object23485968".
    Thank you in advance for your help
    John

    I must be missing something somewhere becuause I couldn't get it to work.  Here is the xml that I am getting back when I invoke the CFC from within Workbench.  This data is assigned to an XML type varialbe called 'xmlOutput'.  I then create a data connection in my form to the service I created in Workbench and bind the return data to a text field (with multiple lines).  When I bind the data I have the option to choose "document" or "element".  Element doesn't return anything, unless I am doing something wrong, so I have to choose Document.
    With the xmlOutput below I do get more than one subordinate returned.  I only showed one for simplicity.
    ------------Begin xmlOutput --------------  (Yes, I am getting all of these empty lines in my output)
