Problem in gettig log text from SRM Items to PO Items

Hi all,
We have a problem in SRM we have extended classic scenario at the time of PO creation in SRM the same is created in R3 also but our requirement is the Long text of Item form SRM PO should also copy to R/3 PO line item long text which is not happing right now.
Can anyone tell me how we can do the same?

Problem in Saving long texts from IC Webclient

Hi,
I have a little problem with BP long text transfert.
In IC Webclient, I identify a account and I create a long text (for exemple a Accounting Note).
I can find this text in CRM (t-code BP->long text) but, it is not transfert to ECC (XD03->Extra->text).
If I create a accounting note directly in CRM, it is transfert to ECC !!
The transaction PITX is customized in ECC.
I work with CRM5.0 and ECC6.
What I missed ?

Hi Gaétan,
Maybe the BDOC BUPA_MAIN responsible to export the change to ECC is not being created when you make the change in IC Webclient.
Can you confirm it in SMW01? Try to make a change in a partner long text in IC webclient, and check if the bdoc was sent to R3.
Then try it in BP t-code, and check it again.
If this is the problem, maybe you should contact OSS suport.

Problem conversion of a text from codepage '4110' to codepage '4103'

Hi!
I upgrade my SAP version ECC 5.0 no Unicode to ECC 6.0 Unicode .
Now, when I execute some reports I get a dump because when I open my file with 'OPEN DATASET' and then READ and TRANSFER to another file the result is :
At the conversion of a text from codepage '4110' to codepage '4103':
- a character was found that cannot be displayed in one of the two
codepages;
- or it was detected that this conversion is not supported.
This dump is got when the file contain special characters like 'Á,Ñ,...)
I have searched some information and the source error I think is about UTF-16 to UTF-8 conversion. I look for some SAP notes but I don't clear what I have to do.

Hi Ana,
please check the code page of the uploaded file. In your scenario the assumption is that it is based on UTF-8.
If it is based on Non-Unicode, you need to use OPEN DATASET .... ENCODING NON-UNICODE ...

Problem in replicating the material from SRM to CCM

Hi SRM gurus
We have material created in ECC6 and replicated to SRM, but the same material is not being replicated to CCM. Back ground job for program BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG is running.
we are on SRM 5.0, Extended calssic scenario.

Which CCM version are you using ? What steps are you doing ?
CatalogUpdateNotification_Out is configuration on XI for the location of the XI server.
When you run report BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG this sends the materials to the XI server, when then sends that back to the CCM instalation (on our system this is the same client/box as the SRM application). Once there the catalog can be published through the authoring tool to the respective catalog, or a report could run to send this out.
I would suggest looking at the config guide for CCM2 - it goes through what you need step by step. Incase you don't have the same, i can email at your mail id, if any.

Enhancement to map texts from SRM to ECC

HI guru's,
I am working on SRM. the requirement is to map SRM texts of Purchase order to ECC(R/3) purchase order.
for this I am using a BADI bbp_longtext_badi.
when I create text in SRM or if I change text in SRM PO its getting reflected, but If I delete the text of PO its not getting reflected means if I delete the text in SRM in ECC also it should be deleted but this condition is not working. If any body knows plz help me its urgent.

Problems in print of PO from SRM

Hi experts,
I have a problem in assigning the right printer for output of PO in SRM.
Example:
The Print settings are:
User A is printing on printer X.
User B is printing on printer Y.
User A create a shopping cart, by using the functionality 'shop on behalf'. User A create a shopping cart on behalf of user B.
How can I get the the SRM-PO, which is automatic generated from the shopping cart, to be printet on printer X?

Which SRM version are you using ? Are you using any custom report in this case ?
Take help of ABAP person here... You need to try Coding logic in this case...
Function module GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS (Retrives User Current Printer settings)
Function module SET_PRINT_PARAMETERS (Sets User Current Printer settings as per your new options)
Also look for BADIs using SE18 transaction ->
BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE
BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF

Problems for creating a delivery from a order with less items

hye, I have created a delivery from a sales order and all is ok. So, If I put less quantity in severals items, the delivery is generated ok and the sales order is OPEN status.
Now , I want to generate a delivery from sales order, but I don´t want to include in my delivery all sales order's items. For example, if I have in my sales order four items (Itm1,Itm2,Itm3,Itm4) with theirs quantity, by SDK I want to generate the Delivery with Itm2 and Itm3 only. I can't do that. I hate It,jajajajajaja.
With the next FOR, I get do it with all Items but I don´t know to say it that when status = 0 "jump" this item.

What is your problem when you try to skip an item?
PS: You should always use enums instead of hard-coded values e.g.: Use the BoAPARDocumentTypes Enumeration for delivery.Lines.BaseType

Problems when i copy text from Pdf and paste on Word

In Pdf documente the text is in perfect conditions, but, when i copy the text and paste in WORD document the character change into random crazy character like: "()*"*&!(!*"(!"(!)"( )*"()!*("!&("@*")(!*@"!*@(
how i fix this??

I have the same problem when copying the PDF into a Word file. I tried Save as RTF doc. and it is still just symbols.
It could be a font problem, because it has some weird Gill Sans and Futura fonts. I am sending a picture as an example.
The option of exporting as Tiff and then applying OCR is interesting but still is kind of slow when i have a 100 pages document. If the fonts is the problem is there any way i could select the whole text and apply it a known font like Arial?

In the standard,the SC item text is mapped to the item text in PR which is created in the R/3 backend.However if the transfer of text is not happening,you can implement the logic for trasnferring the SC item text to PR item text in the badi BBP_CREATE_REQ_BACK which contains the method FILL_REQ_INTERFACE.

These Item note and Item text is available in PR->Iteam->Service->service text and line text.
Item text comes from Internal note and item note from vendor text .
I posted same question in SRM Form, but as these changes has to be done by ABAPer so I am posting it again here.

PO Header Text Replication from SRM 4.0 to ECC 5.0

Hi All,
I am trying to replicate PO Header Text from SRM 4.0 to ECC 5.0 with Extended Classic Scenario.
Process of PO Header Text Entering in SRM PO:
1. We create PO from Sourcing.
2. We go to Processing POs and then we enter under Header Data -> Documents -> Internal note.
I added code in BBP_PO_INBOUND_BADI (method: BBP_MAP_BEFORE_BAPI) related to header text mapping. I think this BAdI will not be triggered while processing PO from SRM.
Please let me know the procedure or sugeestions to replicate header text from SRM 4.0 to ECC 5.0.

Internal note can be passed to R/3 PO. It is standard. check it up.
Internal note must copy to another follow on document but why it is not copying in to your backend PO.

Preview - Cannot copy and paste text from pdf

Hi there ...
I usually have no problem copying and pasting text from a pdf using Preview ...
However .. I recently received a pdf ... and there is no way it will highlight the text to copy ...
The older pdf's are not affected ...
I did a get info on the pdf ... it's not locked ... and it was made by Adobe In Design CS2
I tried opening it with Adobe Reader 9 ...... but still no luck
IN my search .. I noticed one other person had the same problem ... but he didn't get any responses..

If it's behind something else then you can open it in Illustrator and select the specific object you want. If it's rasterized then no.

Very slow copying text from microsoft word

Any idea why copying text from word (office 2004) should be v slow? Copying same text in OS9 no problem (am currently copying text from client supplied documents into other applications ie. Quark, so having to go to another machine running previous OS + apps. seems a bit 'unnecessary'!)

Use the smart paste (Ctrl + Shift v) and select plain text only. Otherwise, you're pulling in Word's formatting when you do a regular paste.
