Problem in HA Configuration and ERS installation

Dear Experts,
I have planned to install a HA SAP ECC 6.0 System with Oracle DB.
I completely configured 5 Virtual Machines for this purpose, and at status quo, I have decided to install these components as mentioned below:
VM1: ASCS
VM2: ERS
VM3: DB
VM4: CI
CM5: DI
All machines run Redhat linux x64.
I started with installing ASCS on the first VM. It was successful; also I have configured the file system as described in the following link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/27/44f17a26a74a8abfd202c4f5dc9a0f/content.htm
Then I tried to install ERS on the second VM (VM2).  The installation was able to find the profile which the ASCS has generated but finally it failed because it couldn't find some files:
sapinst_dev.log says:
TRACE      2014-03-02 15:00:23.858
NWException thrown: nw.noExecutableFound:
Cannot find executable sapcontrol at these locations: /usr/sap/SHP/ERS10/exe/sapcontrol, /usr/sap/SHP/SYS/exe/run/sapcontrol, /usr/sap/SHP/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64/sapcontrol.
As a result, I decided to try another plan by installing another ERS on the first VM and it completed successfully.
Now, I have ASCS and ERS on the VM1, but I cannot install ERS on the VM2.
The question is:
1.Since I don’t want to have any SPOF, which one of the following solutions is correct?
Solution 1:
VM1: ASCS
VM2: ERS
Solution2
VM1: ASCS + ERS
VM2: ERS
Solution 3
VM1: ASCS + ERS
VM2: ASCS + ERS
2.If you dont choose Solution 3 then; How can I solve the problem of installing ERS on the second node? Any idea
Regards,
Meysam Kermani

do you want to install the SAP on HA (High availability/SPOF)?
as per your thread looks like you want to install each service on separate VM?
I would strongly suggest you must go through the installation guide and before you start the installation check whats your requirement is. for example refer https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001414082012E

  • Problems with track pad and osx installation disc on macbok.

Okay so I am having two separate problems with my macbook.
First, the track pad, or the button beneath it, is pretty much completely out of commission. When I try and use it, the computer acts as if I am holding down the button all the time. Example, when I drag it across the desktop, the "click-and-drag" square starts appearing next to the cursor or when move the cursor on an icon, it tries to click and drag that. The only way that I can fix it thus far is to hook up my wireless mouse. Hoping someone else has a better solution so that I can continue to use the notebook on the go without having to bring the mouse. Note: the button does not appear to be depressed in anyway.
Second problem is happening when I attempt to reboot the computer with the OS X Leopard disk in for a re-installation. When the gray start-up screen appears, before the gray apple comes on the middle of the screen, a folder icon with a question mark on it appears for a split second and then turns into the normal apple icon after which my OSX disk is spit out of the drive and the computer boots straight to the desktop. I have attempted holding down the control button, the option button, and starting the process while the computer is still turned on and then just restarting it, the disc is ejected upon restart every time. I have reinstalled the OS with this disk once before and it has worked fine and other disks seem to be working fine in the drive, so I am at a lost here.
I know that was a lot of info but if anyone out there can help me out with either one of these problems it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

exactly the same issu with the track pad here.
I v tried to use it without the battery but the problem persist.
If I use an USB mouse i can move it arnd but wen I click or double click nothing happen...so is useless.Same problem with the Blur Tooth wireless mouse.
The issue appear several months ago...after a couple of weeks went away, and now is back again. I try the routine manteinance but nothing solved the issue.
Any suggestion? I have some urgent work to do ...I will try tomorrow to bring it in an apple store but I can't leave it with them ..
    Thanx in advance

    Hi All,
I am getting an error at step 20 i.e Install Java Engine.
And the log file SecureStoreInsert.log says:

Hello, I am using Apple Configurator to update ipad 4's (30) and sync new apps.  My cart of ipad 4's was update mistakenly in configurator when I forgot to change settings to "never update device".  My question is, why does AC keep "erasing and installing the profile"  and why are pages, numbers, keynote sent back to the cloud to be downloaded.  These apps disappear every time I try to do a simple update of a wireless setting, etc.  If you can guide me that would be helpful

  • Problem in Point of Sale 1.0 (Transactionware) and Triversity installation.

    Hi Friends,
We are facing major problems during the Installation of SAP POS 1.0(Transactionware).
1.We are facing few problems while installing POS and Triversity.
    2. Actually in installation there is no problem, the problem is with configuration.
We have installed POS express (Front End) and Transnet client in one system then Triversity Stored value Application & Transnet server in another system.
We have used SQL server as Database in both POS and Triversity.
But while installing Configurator for POS it is asking for Sybase database and we have done that also.
After all the installation when we try to run POS Xpress front end and enter some values like Cashier id, cahier name then it exiting us from that current screen and sometime it is giving information like "Server Not Available"
Which server it is talking about and where to configure, we could not find in the documentation.
The POS Xpress is connecting to which server we are bit confused, becaude we have installed Triversity server in one machine and POS Stored value manager in the same machine where POS Xpress is installed.
So, please help us to resolve this critical issue.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Lr and Ps installation problems.

i just uninstalled my photoshop cc and lightroom  5 app after i purchased the creative cloud for photography and i am trying to reinstall the apps but i am unable too, can someone help me?

I had possibly the same error...
Windows installer looking for the LR 1.3 msi but could not find it (msi is extracted to a temp location on drive). The dialog box appeared asking for it to be manually located. Win Installer refered to an unavailable network resource. Install failed with an error, 1714(?) unable to remove older version.
I ran a search on C drive and located the extracted msi and directed installer to this location but still would not install.
Thought that there may be a problem left by a previous LR install so ran MS Windows Installer Clean Up Utility, selecting "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom" only and click remove. (Warning: this can toast the app's install and require a total reinstall--I was luck).
Ran LR 1.3 installer and upgrade completed fine. Did have to tell LR 1.3 where my image folder on the ext. hard drive was and LR ran a check - catalog vs folder to ensure integrity.
    All fine now.

I have recently purchased the finale 2011 music program, and it installs without any problems, but will not run when I try to start up the program.  It acts like it is going to start, but stops when loading the plugins.  I have been talking with Finale tech support for three days, and they are coming up empty, but they are still trying.  Any ideas what the problem might be?

Try booting in Safe Mode (hold the shift key while booting until the grey progress bar appears).

  • CF Installations :Key differnces between Multiserver configuration and J2EE Configuration

    Hi,
Can anyone give the important differences between Multiserver
    configuration and J2EE Configuration installations?..

    Hello Dalibor,
While the service account user object has Use DES selected it would appear your user session is still sending the AS Java an RC4 service ticket.  This might occur if your user had requested a service ticket before Use DES was selected, or before that setting had replicated to the appropriate domain controller.  The fix might be as simple and logging out and logging back in now that some time has passed.
You could also download the Microsoft kerbtray utility and inspect the service ticket enc type to validate this.  kerbtray can also be used to clear old tickets and is generally useful for troubleshooting this kind of thing.
    Thanks!

  • Problems With System Configuration

System Configuration is altered and not repairable. Selective startup is persistent. Normal startup is selected, but the Apply button is greyed out, inaccessible, and system always remains in Selective startup. As a result, Current User profile is probably
corrupted. Windows Store will not install (services are corrupt, SFC and DISM did not work). Outlook profile was deleted, needed to be reinstalled, and can not receive mail. Excel math engine totals values higher than actual amounts. IE automatically signs
into all Microsoft accounts (reset to default settings worked for a log on, but automatic sign in resumed afterwards).
    Are there any solutions?
