Problem in service contract determination using spare part items

Hi experts
I created a service contract with spare parts in product list, and discont for those spare parts in price agreement. The spare parts item category group is SRVM.
If I then create a serice order and add the spare part as the item of the transaction, depends on item category I put in for the spare part, contract determination may or may not happen. If I put SRVP ( service product) as item category then the contract determin will happen. But SRVP is not allowed for the spare part product. If  I use SRVM as item category, then the contract determination will not happen at all.
The questions are
Can contract determination be triggered by item category SRVM? If yes, what do I have to do to make it happen?  If no, what item category can I use for spare parts to trigger the contract determination?
Your help is highly appreciated.

  • Service order replication with Spare parts( Item category SRVM) to R/3

    Hi Experts,
We are  creating service order in CRM with spare parts details(Item category SRVM) and this service order has to replicate to backend R/3.
As per my knowledge Service orders are replicated as Sales orders in R/3 with sales items only i.e. SRVS.
My question is Can i replicate the Spare part details( Item Category- SRVM), what i am entering in the CRM service order to the R/3.
    Points wil be rewarded.
    Thanks in advance.

  • CRM Service - ECC Logisitcs Integration (Spare Parts in a Service Order)

    Hi Experts,
We have been trying to configure a scenario for CRM Service Orders with SAP ECC logistics integration in CRM 7.0 EHP1.
We are aware of the standard configuration wherein we assign one logistics scenario ( Purchase Requisition or Purchase Order or Reservation) for a specific service organization & Item Category for spare parts in service order.
Our first query : Is it standard that the spare part will be automatically reserved if it is in stock (after ECC availability check from service order) and purchase requisition or purchase order is created only if it is not in stock?
We also understand that while a reservation happens during Service order creation, the goods issue or material withdrawal happens only on service confirmation. If this the case, how will the physical delivery happen to customer? This is our second query.
Please note that we are raising this query only for spare part items in service order and not for sales item in service order.
It would be great if you could help us with this issue.
    Responses will be suitably rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Prish

    Hi Pritesh,
Thank you for your prompt reply and help, appreciate the same, we would be going for the scenario where the service order in sap crm has saleable parts, the service order would get replicated to ecc as a sales order and the costs would get booked when the post goods issue is performed after creating the delivery in SAP ECC.
    Following are the configurations done
    1) Service Order type ZRVW is created in SAP CRM
    2) The same service order ZRVW is mapped in SAP ECC
    3) The service order in SAP CRM has the following number range and the same is kept internal
    4) The same number range is marked as external in SAP ECC in vn01 tcode
    5) The number range is assigned to the document type ZRVW in SAP ECC
    6) Item category determinations are done in SAP CRM, standard SRVS(Sales items are copied to YRVS)
    7) The same item category determination is also set in SAP ECC for Item category group NORM
    8) Item category determination is also set for ERLA as item category group in ECC
    9) The item category YRVS is set to delivery relevant in SAP ECC
    10) The standard schedule line is determined which is CP is relevant for delivery
    11) The sales area is also assigned to the document type ZRVW.
    12) In SAP CRM, the status profile YCONT is assigned, having the business transaction to be distributed, the status of the same is set to allowed for completed status
    13) The status profile has been assigned to the transaction type ZRVW
    14) Pricing configurations are also done in sap crm and sap ecc
    15) Now I am creating the service order ZRVW in SAP CRM, having saleable parts, customer's and material's exist in both systems having the same sales area, the status is set to completed at item and header level
    16) The system is throwing an error when I click on edit
    17) When checked In sap ecc the system says that the document does not exist
18 I did open the error in SAP CRM and it says that there are some settings required for billing
Since there is no billing relevance to this scenario in the item category the billing relevance is set to no billing
    Please advice further

  • Service Contract Determination for material product

    Hello,
I am trying to implement service contract determination for a complaint and I observe that the service contract gets determined at the complaint item level only when I add a service type product at the item level and not when I add a product of material type. Is this a system limitation that a service contract can be determined only for a service product or am I missing some configuration? Has anyone else faced a similiar issue?
    Thanks,
    Divya.

    hi divya
the contract get determined even after adding product of type material
    1.create a srv contract (sc)
    2.add product of type material
    3. release the contract and save it (note the no.)
4.create a trnx complaint(crmc) maintain the setting fr contract determinition(F)
5.put the product in trnx and ur contract will get determined

  • Service Contract Determination - Multiple sold-to-parties

    Hello Gurus,
Can anyone help me on understanding this:
We know that in standard configuration, the sold-to party in the service contract and in the business transaction must be identical.
But It is possible to change someting so that we can assign a service contract to multiple sold-to-parties?
There must be a workaround to do this. Does anyone tried it?
    Thanks and regards,
    Bruno Garcia

    Hello Ashwin,
We're using IC Webclient at our customer Call center. We register all contacts made in Interaction Record document, and all service requests in Service Ticket Document.
What we're trying is to define the same SLA agreement for all sold-to-parties partners. We did all configurations relationated with service profile, response profile, product and service contract.
However, SLA calculation only works if the sold-to-party partner of service ticket is the same that in the service contract. So that's why we put this question here.
We already tried to use CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT and CRM_SRV_SLA_CALCTIME BAdI's, but no luck: they also seem to depend on this verification.
What we're trying to do is to skip this verification. We need to calculate the SLA for all service ticket, no matter what sold-to-party partner is.
Do you think this is achievable?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards

  • Service Contract Determination in Follow-Up Transactions

    Hi all
in our setup (CRM 2007) we can successfully create Service Orders where Contract Determination on item level takes place and assigns items to contracts. This also works for Service Confirmations, in case we create them as stand-alone transactions.
If we however create a Service Confirmation as follow-up from a Service Order, in which contract determination took place, the contract information is not contained in the Service Confirmation.
Any ideas how to get the contract information over?
    Thanks!
    Christian
Side note: We did not find a copy routine or copy control settings solving our problem - however we might be wrong...

    Hi Christian,
If the service order line items are entittled to service contract , at each item level you will get contract info in contract data tab.
when you transfer these items to confirmation , confirmation item contract data will not have contract information. Only when you enter items in confirmation manually then system will pop up window for selection contract and confirmation items get contract information.
    thanks,
    Nitin

  • Service contract determination for service request

    Hi,
is there a way to influence the contract determination in a service request creation process?
The contract should be found if there is one for sold-to-party OR ship-to-party.
    Thank you.
    Kind regards
    Manfred

    Hi Manfred,
I don't know about "Ship-to arty" use in contract determination. AFAIK Sold2-Party, Sales and Service Organization, status of the Service Contract (released), Start and End date and the object list are responsible for the Contract determination. Hence if I'm not wrong a sold2-party must be provided.
There is the CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT Badi and what we did in our process is to use the Event framework to ensure a contract redetermination after change of the sold2-party. Take a look at CRM_SEARCH_SERV_CONTRACTS_EC for ideas in that direction.

  • How to use spare part from damaged equipment to a new equipment in SAP

    Hello Gurus,
Sometimes we use a spare part from a discarded equipment to make the present equipment functional. How would this be documented in SAP?
    Thanks & Regards
    Raghuvarun

    Hi Raghuvarun,
There will be several methods depending upon the your final objectives of such requirement.
In case you want to just maintain the spare part and the Equipment from which it has been removed, then use Catalog Codes. In the Object part Catalog maintain the Spare part in the Code part and the Equipment number in Item Text.
    This method is hassle free.
In case the requirement's like physically identifying the spare-part etc., then the process would be very complex. You need to opt for not only Material Codes but also the Serialization of all these spare parts.
So you need to first consolidate your objectives of the requirement you have asked for. Then post a Query in detail explaining the objectives.
In most of the cases such requirements are satisfied with ideas like the 1st case I proposed, i.e., Catalogs & Codes.

  • Calc problem with fact table measure used as part of bridge table model

    Hi all,
I'm experiencing problems with the calculation of a fact table measure ever since I've used it as part of a calculation in a bridge table relationship.
In a fact table, PROJECT_FACT, I had a column (PROJECT_COST) whose default aggregate was SUM. Whenever PROJECT_COST was used with any dimension, the proper aggregation was done at the proper levels. But, not any longer. One of the relationships PROJECT_FACT has is with a dimension, called PROJECT.
PROJECT_FACT contains details of employees and each day they worked on a PROJECT_ID. So for a particular day, employee, Joe, might have a PROJECT_COST of $80 for PROJECT_ID 123, on the next day, Joe might have $40 in PROJECT_COST for the same project.
Dimension table, PROJECT, contains details of the project.
A new feature was added to the software - multiple customers can now be charged for a PROJECT, where as before, only one customer was charged.
    This percentage charge break-down is in a new table - PROJECT_BRIDGE. PROJECT_BRIDGE has the PROJECT_ID, CUSTOMER_ID, BILL_PCT. BILL_PCT will always add up to 1.
So, the bridge table might look like...
    PROJECT_ID CUSTOMER_ID BILL_PCT
    123          100     .20
    123          200     .30
    123          300     .50
    456 400 1.00
    678 400 1.00
Where for project 123, is a breakdown for multiple customers (.20, .30. .50).
Let's say in PROJECT_FACT, if you were to sum up all PROJECT_COST for PROJECT_ID = 123, you get $1000.
Here are the steps I followed:
    - In the Physical layer, PROJECT_FACT has a 1:M with PROJECT_BRIDGE as does PROJECT to PROJECT_BRIDGE (a 1:M).
    PROJECT_FACT ===> PROJECT_BRIDGE <=== PROJECT
    - In the Logical layer, PROJECT has a 1:M with PROJECT_FACT.
    PROJECT ===> PROJECT_FACT
    - The fact logical table source is mapped to the bridge table, PROJECT_BRIDGE, so now it has multiple tables it maps to (PROJECT_FACT & PROJECT_BRIDGE). They are set for an INNER join.
    - I created a calculation measure, MULT_CUST_COST, using physical columns, that calculates the sum of the PROJECT_COST X the percentage amount in the bridge table. It looks like: SUM(PROJECT_FACT.PROJECT_COST * PROJECT_BRIDGE.BILL_PCT)
    - I brought MULT_CUST_COST into the Presentation layer.
We still want the old PROJECT_COST around until it get's phased out, so it's in the Presentation layer as well.
Let's say I had a request with only PROJECT_ID, MULT_CUST_COST (the new calculation), and PROJECT_COST (the original). I'd expect:
    PROJECT_ID MULT_CUST_COST PROJECT_COST
    123          $1000     $1000
I am getting this for MULT_CUST_COST, however, for PROJECT_COST, it's tripling the value (possibly because there are 3 percent amounts?)...
    PROJECT_ID MULT_CUST_COST PROJECT_COST
    123          $1000 (correct)      $3000 (incorrect, it's been tripled)
If I were to look at the SQL, it would have:
              SELECT SUM(PROJECT_COST),
    SUM(PROJECT_FACT.PROJECT_COST * PROJECT_BRIDGE.BILL_PCT),
                   PROJECT_ID
              FROM ...
              GROUP BY PROJECT_ID
PROJECT_COST used to work correctly before modeling a bridge table.
Any ideas on what I did wrong?
    Thanks!

    Hi
    Phew, what a long question!
If I understand correctly I think the problem lies with your old cost measure, or rather combining that with you new one in the same request. If you think about it, your query as explained above will bring back 3 rows from the database which is why your old cost measure is being multiplied. I suspect that if you took it out of the query, your bridge table would be working properly for the new measure alone?
I would consider migrating your historic data into the bridge table model so that you have a single type of query. For the historic data each would have a single row in the bridge with a 1.0 BILL_PCT.
    Best of luck,
    Paul

  • Service Contract - Create Price Agreements On Item Level

    Dear Experts,
    first I'm on CRM 4.0.
I have the requirement to create price agreements on a contract product on item level of the contract. I know that some of  you were able to create PA's by using FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. Maybe someone would be as kind to give me a hint how to fill the necesarry import parameters.
I have allready tested various scenarios on my own but without success
My first approach was to debug transaction CRMD_ORDER and get to know how FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN was called in this case. But during the debugging I recognized that only table CT_INPUT_FIELDS hab an entry (Object = PRIDOC, empty FIELD_NAMES).
Nerver the less I tried to create a PA by using Table PRICE_AGREEMENTS_CRM of FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN. I filled the structure in the way the BDOCS (created by TA CRMD_ORDER) were filled. The condition group was correcly determind during the FM call but the PA wasn't created (I used CRM_ORDER_SAVE and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to save the changes).
On my second attemp I used FM CRM_PRICE_AGRMNTS_READ_OW to read the PA's of an existing contract, changed there figures and tried to save my changes to the DB by calling FM CRM_PRICE_AGRMNTS_MAINTAIN_OW.

    Hi,
I dont think there should be any problems regarding the format of the values to be passed as all the fields of structure BAPICUVAL are of type CHAR.

  • Spare parts -DIGI business procedure

    Hi everyone,
I'm testing how to use spare parts-DIGI direct issues goods.
I have create and release a service order ,but no following-up document is created automatically.
At the same time ,I try to find if there is any documents in Customer Demand View.there's nothing.
I try to check if it's already issued in Outbound Delivery View. It's also nothing and inventory has no change.
So I try to make confirmation. This reduced the inventory and create a Good and Activity confirmation document automatically.
But the status of service order is still in process and order pipeline is still not started.
    what should I next?
Could you please tell me correct procedure in system  that  I should do in SAP step by step?
    thank you very much.

    Hi David,
DIGI parts in service orders are not relevant for supply planning. So will not see them as a demand. You also do not get any ATP info for DIGI parts. You have to first release the order to service execution, then you can do the confirmation. In the confirmation UI you can specify the logitics area, from which the part will be taken. After service confirmation the inventory is then automatically reduced by the quantity of the DIGI part.

  • Service Agreement Determination

    Hi,
In CRM Services wanted to know what are the "determination types" & there meanings  in Service Agreement Determination.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    PK

    Hi PK,
You question is not clear for me. However, I will try to answer your question.
In CRM Service scenario, Service contract or Service Agreement determination happens for the transactions like - Service Order, Service Confirmation and Complaint, based on the customizing setting.
For Service Contract one can make these settings in the following IMG activity:
Customer Relationship Management by choosing   Transactions  -> Basic Settings -> Define Transaction Types and using the Contract Determ indicator. You can make the following settings:
    No contract determination
    Manual contract determination
Only at item level (setting in standard SAP Customizing)
Contract determination at header and item level
The Contract Determ. field only appears in the detailed display for definition of the transaction type, if you have chosen Complaint, Service Process, Service Confirmation or Sales as the leading transaction category.
Similarly we can maintain IMG setting for Service Agreement determination for the transaction types Service Order, Confirmation and Complaint. However, service agreement determination can happen only at Item level.
If both Service Agreement and Service Contract determination is maintained for a transaction type in the system then the determination priority goes to Service Contract determination in transaction processing.
For e.g., if the system finds a service contract during Service Order processing, then determination of Service Agreement will not take place.
    Hope this information helps.

    Chethan
