Problem in Step Group in BPM in PI 7.1

hi
I am using a Step group in my BPM which has a Transformation Step in it. I am able to set the Operation Mapping,SenderMessage,RecieverMessage in Transformation Step and i could save it also, but while activating the BPM all parameters are getting lost. And i tried setting the parameters again in transformation step. But while activating the BPM, it is getting lost automatically. Could you please help me in this?

You might have to restore the Java Web Start archives (PI start page -> Administration -> Java Web Start Administration) to ensure that the JWS client uses the most recent Jars.

Using step group in ccBPM

Hi,
We are using PI 7.1. We have defined a step group (with transformation, send and receiver steps) into a SWC. In another SWC we have a ccBPM where we want to use the step group. Both SWCs are associated.
When we insert the step group into the ccBPM and we set up the steps for the step group, these changes are not saved!!!
We have disabled the flag "cannot be changed", but the changes are not kept and therefore we cannot active the ccBPM.
What is the problem?

Hi all,
We copied the step group to the current SWC. Once this done, we have tried two things:
1. Using objects from the other SWC (Service Interfaces) to set up the transformation steps. These changes are not kept.
2. We have created new objects into the current SWC (Operation Mappings and Service Interfaces) to set up the transformation steps. That is to say, into the SWC we have created from scratch all objects that we need to configure our steps. However, when we modify the steps, the changes are not kept either.
If it is necessary to create all objects again into the new SWC, then the step groups are not too useful...
Any another idea?

Step Group , Monitoring Process and Integration Process.

I would like to when we use Step Group, Monitoring Process and what is the difference of these two with Integration Process. As we can use all the steps of Integration Process with Step Goup and Monitoring Process.

For the Step Group:
You can consider it as a BPM which can be used in another BPM....concept similar to a reusable class :)....So if you have a constant patter of Receive --- transformation -
Send in some BPMs then create a Step Group and include it in the required BPMs...

Receiver determination step in the BPM and multiline container

i have made a file2file scenario where:
there is a BPM,
the BPM has a send step which contains a receive step,
a transformation that mapps the incomin message to two messages(Split-messgae case),
and then a FORK step which sends the two messges to through 2 SEND steps to the intended receiver services.
It didnt work......and i followed a blog-> /people/sudharshan.aravamudan/blog/2005/12/01/illustration-of-multi-mapping-and-message-split-using-bpm-in-sap-exchange-infrastructure ............... which suggested to have a
"receiver-determination" step in the BPM before the SEND step.... it says that this
"receiver-determination" step will put the message in a MULTILINE container..
i m confused bout this step ........ can anybody explain.....

HI,
In receiver determination step selctthe multi line container element.in container editor create the one element with type as receiver and select the check box.
A Receiver Determination step returns set of receivers configured for the output abs interfaces in the directory and puts it into receiver which is a multiline container receiver element

Problem with checkbox group in row popin of table.

In table row popin I have kept Check Box Group.I have mapped the texts property of checkbox group to the attribute which is under the subnode of the table.the subnode properties singleton=false,selectioncardinality=0-n,and cardinality=0-n.
if there are 'n' number of records in the table.each record will have its own row popin and in the row popin there is check box group.
the check box group in the row popin belongs to that perticular row.
but the checkboxegroup values in row popins of all the rows are getting changed to the row which is lead selected.
The same scenario (table in the row popin is showing the values corresponding to its perticular row and all the table values in popin are not getting changed to the one lead selected in the main table)is working fine with the table in place of checkbox group in row popin with datasource property of table binded to the subnode
I cant trace out the problem with checkbox group in place of table.
Please help me in this regard.I have to place check box group in place of table in row popin.

I have done the same thing successfully with normal check box ui element. Try using check box in your tabel cell editor instead of check box group.

BPM Monitoring: not all messages are groupped my bpm name

Could you explain me why not all messages are groupped my bpm name?
There are messages above bpm name that was sent in this bpm.
It is too diffucult to monitor messages in BPM monitoring.

Is the concerned message a synchronous message or a message that relates two integration processes? If yes, this about to be changed and will be corrected in the next SP.

Problems with parameterized mapping in BPM

I am using an RFC lookup in a message mapping. I have declared the parameters/bindings in Message Mapping and Operations Mapping, but when I use the Operations Mapping in a transformation step in my BPM, I am asked for an "import" value. There are no values to be selected. What do I do?

Processing a Two-Step Group in parts

Dear all,
I am processing my Two step group with LT0e and would like to process it partially.
Is there a way to do that?
Some background: When Picking from one of the Storage Types I want to use a Return Storage Type. Since this applies to one Outbound flow only, I have defined the Return Storage Type in my WM movement, NOT in the Pick Storage Type.
In 2-step customizing, I have omitted the movement type, and am entering the Movement Type myself in LT0e. Only thing, I want to be able to make some kind of selection here so with my Movement Type I process only those items from the One Storage Type I am focussing on.

In LT0E once you have selected your group and via subsequent function do the picking step(2step picking -> start picking), you should be able to make the lines which you dont require "Inactive". Then you have only those lines for which you want to do the picking with your required movement type.

Callback for specific step group

Hi,
I have a sequence, Main sequence. In this sequence, there is Setup, Main and Cleanup step group. Setup is to initialise my devices, Main is to perform the tests on my UUTs, Cleanup is to stop and clear task for my devices. I would like to have a TS sequence in such a way that it runs Setup and Cleanup once and continue to loop Main. With this setting, I would still want to have the UUT Information window popup.
I have tried using SequenceLoadFile callback and put my vis for initialising my deivces (found in Setup) in this callback. It works when I first open my sequence file. However, I would like to know if I can do it in such a way that everytime I click Run (F5), it will run my initialise vis (found in Setup) once and keep looping Main with popup of UUT Information window for each UUT and run Cleanup with I click Stop on the UUT Information window.
Could anyone give me some advise on how I can do so??

Process Setup Callback and Process Cleanup Callback. They are model callbacks that you can add to your client sequence and put your initialize and cleanup code in. You add them the same way that you added the Sequence File Load callback (which, by the way, is an engine callback).
The Purple sequences are engine callbacks. The Green sequences are Model callbacks.
It doesn't matter if you override engine callbacks like you are doing. It just matters what kind of behavior you want. In your case you need the two model callbacks I mentioned at the first.

Strange Problem with Code Groups / Codes

Hey all, have a strange problem with Code Groups and Codes.
Our data migration team accidentally loaded an early version of our catalog (code groups and codes) in to our 'Gold' configuration client. They then proceed to delete them all via transaction qs41. However, the code groups have been deleted, but not the codes.
So, basically, no codes groups exist in table QPGR or QPGT but all the entries remain in QPCD with the assigment to code groups. The usage indicator is not set on the codes so why they did not get deleted with the codes groups is unknown.
The issue that this is now causing us is that we can't recreate the codes groups with these codes assigned as the system thinks they already exist (via a check on table QPCD i would expect).
Also, i have been unable to recreate what happened did in other clients... seems very strange.
Any help appreciated.

You could try SE11, and see if you can delete the records from there.. but I'm not hopeful...
Otherwise you may need to write a quick ABAP program to delete the data base entries.

Problems with dinamic group

I migrate the messaing (6.1) and directory(5.2), in the directory migrate the user and group, but i have problems with a group, i send a mail and the user who have menbers no send the mail, and retunt the mail .... and said

Motivo: you are not allowed to use this list: [email protected]
it a dinamic group

Your group must have a restriction on it, that only certain users are allowed to send to the group. If you are not on that list, then you will be prevented from sending to the group/list.
Why don't you examine the ldap entry for the group, and see what's in there?

Problem with the control step in a BPM

Hi All
My BPM is :
There is a block , the first step is a Receive, the second is a Send(synchronus) step after there is a switch step. Depending on the result of Send step the switch step goes to an other send step or it goes to a control step and throws Exception .
Checking the BPM a warning message occurs , it says "Exception APError will not be caugnt" as APError is the exception defined in the Block .
Running the BPM , the control step does not work
Does anyone has an idea what is the problem ?

Just defining the exception in the block step is not enough.
You also have to "catch" it in an exception branch.
That message usually occurs when the Block does not have any Exception Branch associated to that exception.
Make sure you have at least one exception branch in your block step and that it is associated to the APError exception.

JCO Problem - (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION/Group PUBLIC not found

I installed the u201CSAP NetWeaver 7.01 - ABAP Trial Versionu201D and the u201CEHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - Preview Versionu201D on same machine (drive u201CDu201D) and both are working.
My intention is to learn WebDynpro accessing BAPIu2019s created by me (learning ABAP too) using RFCu2019s.
I just did it using JCou2019s but it was all configured.
The problem is that, I create the Dictionary JCo (META_DATA) but when I ping or test always return the errors below:

I created the Application JCo (MODEL_DATA) with success and it is working (Ping and Test).
Even using the existing SDN documentation /forums, it seems that something is missing, a parameter; a procedure how to configure a parameter; the sequence of actions or the need of re-start the instance or machine.
I u201Csupposeu201D that the problem may be at Stack ABAP. The group PUBLIC was created (SMLG), the services windows file is ok
If some one had success and have a step-by-step procedure or a good tip it will be very appreciated.

Its woking JCO connetion for Sneek Preview ABAP trial version 7.01. Once you setup the logon group, you must execute the program rsrzllg0_actual in the SE38 and next unchecked the FRCE_SAV and clicked on the execute button. then check your jco connection. it is working in the my case.
