Problem in Substitution

Hi,
I am doing substitution for one VO. It is not working for me. Giving some View Attribute not found error.
I have one doubt. I am customizing the page so I am puting the files in different directories. I have created these directories. Do I need to do anything else.
I have created the directories from ar.irec.... under <mycompany>.oracle.apps directory.
Do I need to set any env variable. because I have simply created these directories.
<mycompany>.oracle.apps.ar.irec.accountDetails.server.MMTransactionTableVO

oracle.apps.ar.irec.accountDetails.server.TransactionTableVO
I am extending it and creating the new one.
<mycompany>.oracle.apps.ar.irec.accountDetails.server.MMTransactionTableVO
I have simply created the directory structure in the server as
<mycompany>.oracle.apps.ar.irec.accountDetails.server
Do I need to register this path somewhere? or this is the only thing required.

Problems using substitution variable in Web Analysis

Dear all,
I have a Web Analysis report that I need to show a raking table with the current month.
For that I create a variable in Essbase that is updated with that date (E.g.: varCurrentMonth).
After that I use it as my substitution variable to filter my date dimension in a report data source (E.g.: Scr5, row: product, column: date dimension & measure):
2008 (current month)
Product $ qty.
AAA 100 10
BBB 90 7
CCC 80 5
The problem is that in our cube we need to use an alias in every dimension not to have duplicate members (E.g.: DT.Date, MS.Measure, PD.Product, etc). And when we use it we need to set up the variable in Essbase using that alias (E.g.: DT.Feb/05/08). And if we use that variable as a substitution variable in the report data source the label displayed is the DT.2008 and not 2008 as expected.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve that?

You usually get this error message if you are trying to assign a value from a sub var to a member that does not exist.
e.g. trying to put FY08 which is a year member against a period dimension
or trying to use a sub var of FY09 which does not yet exist in the essbase, so say you added a new year in planning FY09 and used the sub var in the form but have not refreshed the database then it would fail because the year would not have been pushed down to essbase yet.
or the value of the subvar does not match a member name exactly
or using a sub var name that does not exist in essbase, e.g. using &nextYear but the sub var has not been created in essbase.
You can definitely use subsitution variables in columns in the version you are using and prior version.

Problem with substitution in workflow

hi,
we have a ESS-workflow for approving absence.
User A has created an absence. User B is the boss of this person.
BUT: the workflow has found 2 persons to approve the absence request from User A.
User B AND User C.
User C is in the subsitution list of User B. But the substituion is DEACTIVATED, i have checked
that with report RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE
how can it be that user C also receives the workflow and is allowed to approve the request ?
User B says he has not changed the subst. for a long time. how can i check this ? can i check
if activate/deactivate substitution was updated the last days ? is this in any table-log ?

I had a similar problem where the substitutions were deactivated and the the unintended USER was getting the workitems.
There are two kinds of substitutions that could be set.
And in my case most of the time the users set Personal Substitutes. Which are updated in table HRUS_D2.
The second kind of substitution is : substitution for position.
Apparently what i found was the user has setup a substitution at position level, Which doenst update anything in HRUS_D2.
You have to use RH_SUBSTITUTES_LIST_NEW to get rid of this position substitute.
Press F4 to toggle between personal and position substitutes.
If any personal substitutes exist you can delimit/deactivate or delete them.

Problem with substitution

hi there,
a employee is on vacation, so he has activated substituion for workflows. normally HE PLUS the substituion-person are getting emails from the workflow, etc........
but in this case ONLY the subtituion person gets the emails, etc... and is able to work with the workflow.
any idead what can cause this problem ?

If you remove the substitution variable and replace it with the actual value (whatever that is), does the code work? That will tell you if the issue is around the substitution variable or not.

UWL Problem in EP7.0 SP 15

Hi gurus, we are facing a strange situation...We have the UWL configured and working well but since we have upgrade to SP 15 we have problems with substitutions in R3 workflows...
In R3 side, everything works fine , but in portal side, in the UWL there is no reflect of the workflows from the person I have to substitute....
It was working with the SP12, but now with SPS15 I´m afraid that there is a problem.... Must every user that has a substitution rule defined in the backend define a new rule in the UWL for the same? Is there any possibility of import these substitution rules from R3?

Solved.... It was a Problem in the R3 side.... if you are the substitute of someone, you have to accept the substitution first in R3 in order to be reflected in the portal side.....

FA segment derivation from business area substitution not working for AFABN

I have a FA substitution of Field 'segment' is substituted by Field BSEG-GSBER.
But its not picking the Business area as Segment for the 'AFABN' postings.

I'm facing some problem in Substitution & using the same substitution in back also.
when I go to add some value in Prerequisites and come back to save the system shows me the error message
"Maximum formula length is reached'"
Message no. GB016
Diagnosis
     This is an internal programming error caused when a field is full.
System Response
     The code generation is aborted.
Procedure
     Contact your local support center.
Any help will be appreciated.

Whe you use a lot off values perhaps you can better create SETS(trans GS01) for this. Then the formula is shorter.
Like:
BSEG-BUKRS IN LATAMCORP AND BSEG-HKONT IN CASHACCTS
AND BSEG-PRCTR = ''
Set CASHACCTS (table BSEG field HKONT)
When this not helps than please put the formula in the Message

Work Item Not getting Deleted

Hi
We have a starge issue.
We use the table SWWUSERWI to see all the work items in the user's inbox.
If we delete the work item in this table it will remove the same from user's inbox.
We have a problem now. Even after we deleted all the work items the SRM "Approval" link and the "Inbox" still contains Workitems( more than 200 ).
Is there anyother table or tCode to find the work items in user's inbox'

The issue is solved!!!
The another user who is not with the company currenlty had maintained the user who had problem as substitue!!!.. we had to remove the substitute to solve the problem.

Csv output filename &item.

hello,
i have a report and enabled csv output.the filename-help say:Specify a name for the export file. If no name is specified, the region name is used followed by the extension .csv.
ok,filename is not specified,and my region-name is
Kundenrechnung Nr. &P35_X_RECHNR.
P35_X_RECHNR is an hidden item and works fine in regionsname,as example regionsname looks like Kundenrechnung Nr. 719
but when i downlaod the file,the filename is Kundenrechnung Nr. &P35_X_RECHNR..CSV
how can i use my hidden item in csv filename ?

in your case there is a timing problem: The substitution for the region title is part of the region rendering process as is the filename. There is no double-substitution at that point. Imagine the current state to be filename:=NVL(substitute(filename), region_title) where region_title has the value that is handed to the rendering process.
We reference a hidden page item as filename directly, e.g. "&PX_FILENAME..csv"
The item value is calculated by a page process that is executed "On Submit - After Computations and Validations", and that works fine. You could try to set the filename to be "Kundenrechnung Nr. &P35_X_RECHNR..CSV" since P35_X_RECHNR should contain the appropriate value at that time.

Vendor name should be updated in F110 (User exit by substituion)

Hello all,
I am doing payments for RTGS/NEFT through F110, BSEG-SGTXT should be filled with vendor name.
I tried this by substitution at acll up point 2 in OBBH by using User Exit. In user Exit we have written coading as Take BSEG-LIFNR where Account Type = K, go to LFA1 where BSEG-LIFNR=LFA1-LIFNR, Pick NAME1 for that LIFNR, & print that NAME1 in BSEG-SGTXT.
Now problem is, substitution is trigring but it is substituting BSEG-SGTXT by LFA1-NAME1 only for 1st line where account type = K (i.e Vendor Line item). System is not printing same NAME1 to the corresponding line item (i.e Bank Line item).
We want NAME1 at Bank Line.. Problem F110 runs at background, due to which we are not able to set any breakpoints & not able to do debuging also.

Here is what you can do..
In line item only one line will have vendor line item which will contain vendor number...In substituion it processes line by line...So for second line you need to store the vendor number of first line may be by import/export and than update second line... ?You can also process this in foreground by not doing the payment run in F110 and porcess it individually via the program.

Date Picker Result Used in Query for Flash Chart

I'm creating a flash chart using an SQL Query. The query uses two date pickers for the beginning and ending date of the data the query returns. For some reason the substitution string for the data pickers do not work and do not return any data. If I hard wire the start and end date to something like '12/01/2008' and '01/31/2009' the query and the flash chart work just fine. When use the string representing the data pickers (:P65_BEGIN_DATE and :P65_END_DATE) the query does not return any data. Is there some problem using substitution strings in queries for flash charts??

I look at the debug output without changing anything and I am not really sure where the two date pickers are being populated. However I do have defaults set up for each datepicker of:
P65_BEGIN_DATE: to_char(sysdate - 30, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
P65_END_DATE: to_char(sysdate, 'DD-MON-YYYY')
and the dates I would expect show up in the date picker.
Also I created a Computation of Before Header type with the following PL/SQL expression:

and I see the following output when in debug mode:

MASTER DATA MASS CHANGE- ASSET

I have a problem with substitution....
I need to do the following :
In asset master record, tab allocation I want to make a substitution in the field " group evaluation 1" e.g. from 2 to 7;
With GGB1 I create a substitution in AM -Asset Accounting mass change, callup point 4.
With OA02 I link my substitution to the company code.
With AR01 I create a worklist and I choose the workflow task:"Change asset w/o dialog (bulk change), I select my substitution.
Then AR31 for releasing my worklist.
I get an error message : " Work item 000000386089: Data for type A cannot be written (table SWWWIHEAD) ".
I did a bit of debugging and it seems that the error is triggered because there are no records for the current version plan (PLVAR = 01) in the table HRP1217. I must say that we did not implement HR at all here. We are using version 4.6C.
Please help me to solve this problem !

Hi Gabriela,
For this little change it better to create a simple LSMW. This is going faster then with Mass change. (no transports,...).
With SE16 you get the asset numbers and evaluation groeps in EXCEL, there you change the values and import this with LSMW

New View Object Attribute Missing

Hi:
I extended a seeded VO as a test and added a dummy attribute. I loaded all objects correctly to the server and when I retrieve the details of the VO in the "About" link, I see the new attribute.
Going the next step, I added a second attribute through JDeveloper, copied the XML to the server, bounced Apache, but the details in the About link show only the first new attribute and not the second.
Does anyone have an idea why I'm not seeing the second attribute?

If you have correctly extended the VO and moved the VO.xml to the correct location on the server. There should not be a problem. Substitution only tells the system to refer the new location of the Extended VO. The attributes are defined in th VO definition itself. I would suggest you move the file again and bounce it.
If it is R12 then you need to bounce using adoacorectl.sh.
