Problem in using BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI to create transportation lanes

Hi,
While using BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI to create transportation lanes,bapi returns errors
1.Product transportation lane not found in database or in the tables and
2.Product <matnr> ( coming from the flat file in the program ) cannot be both product-independent and product-specific.
Please suggest solution to the problem.

Try to user APO Loader Excel and fill the data you are filling for BAPI "BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI" and see whether it works or not ?
Alternately you can fetch the data from APO to Excel using the get option of the "APO Loader Excel"

Now I am tring to create "Transportation Lane" but When I click on F4 help of
Start Location & Destination Location,I don't the location which I created.
Do I need to assign some properties to the locations which I had created ?
I have created with the same user so I doubt there could be any issue with Visibility profile.

Problem when using BAPI to create return order

Hi All,
I need urgent Information.
I am using BAPI_CUSTOMERRETURN_CREATE and BAPI_CUSTOMERRETURN_CHANGE to create and change quantity of return order. In both cases I am getting the result that quantity value is not getting updated.
are these BAPIs are correct to fulfil my requirement, if yes could you please clarify?
other wise, can I use BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 and BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE?
and could you please some details about quantity change in Outbound delivery?

<b>I mean, please insert CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT' function module in the program, after each function module call</b>.

Unable to create entry under Product Specific Transportation Lane by BAPI Function Module

I am developing one RFC function module which will trigger BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 to create transportation lane (/n/SAPAPO/SCC_TL1) in APO. But I am facing one problem while creating a new entry under “Product Specific Transportation Lane”. But I am not able to pass ‘Group Selection’ radio button field in BAPI11201TRPRODLANE2 structure since I am not getting suitable field, but Product Group Type and Product Group value I am able to pass. Can anyone help me if you have any idea on this?

Thaks for those function modules. I tried with '/SAPAPO/TR_TRPRODM_PUT'. This deletes from table /SAPAPO/TRPRODM but not from /SAPAPO/TRM and so the means of transport still appears in the transaction. Do you have any idea why it behaves this way.

Transportation Lanes in Global ATP using hierarchy

Dear experts,
I want to use a hierarchy with customers/locations allocated to transportation zones and create transportation lanes between the transportation zones. When running the GATP check, transportation lane is never found via the hierarchy. If I create the TL between supplying location and customer location it works fine. Are hierarchies not supposed to work when doing transportation scheduling in GATP?
Is there any way to do the transportation scheduling in ECC (6.2) in the material ATP-check is carried out in SCM (5.0)?

SNP-- LSMW-- Transportation Lane

Hi,
When we are doing LSMW for Transporation Lane creation in APO SNP, system unable to recongize the Pop-Up screen, due to that its not updating record.
It showing all values after converted data, but, when system unable to feed the value to populate the sub screen.
Kindly guide to overcome this problem.

Hi Venkat,
LSMW does not recognize pop up, to avoid the pop-up you need to check the flags fix trsp duration and fix trsp distance and enter a value for both (dummy value in case you dont require any of these fields), the pop-up generate proposal will not appear.
But I think creating transportation lane using BAPI is a better and faster option in case you have got large number of lanes.

Automatic creation of transportation lanes betwen intercompany plants

Hello Experts,
I need to create transportation lanes automatically through integration model between two intercompany plants. The relation between these two plants are of vendor--> customer in ECC and the documents used are of sales / PO type. Source list is availalbe for the purchasing plant. Is it possible to create transportation lane using source list? If this requires an enhancement, which BAdI is applicable?

You can CIF any of these to APO to create Procurement Relationships which in turn automatically creates Transportation Lane. You have to assign Means of Transport manually though. Note - T Lanes created with reference to Contract are however not used by SNP for source determination.
The other option is Special Procurement Key - if assigned in Material Master will automatically create TLane in APO when Materials are CIFed. Downside of that process is no control on TLane Validity Date and / or other Planning Parameters like Lot Size / PDT.

Creation of Transportation lanes during CIF of scheduling agreements.

Could anyone please let me know the place(CIF Code) where transportation lanes are created during CIF process of scheduling agreements from R/3 to APO system. This scheduling agreements will be created in R/3 and will CIFed to APO(SPP).
I need to enhance the process where Transportation lanes are created when scheduling agreements are CIFed from R/3 to APO system. The enhancement will be adding a custom planned delivery time value to Means of transport(MOT) of the transportation lane.
I tried debugging the CIF but in vain.

CIF Transportation Lanes from R/3 to APO

Currently, we are creating transportation lanes in APO via BAPI calls from R/3.     We have been lead to believe that transportation lanes can be CIF'ed over to APO.
We are only executing GATP in APO.    We currently do not use DP, SNP, PP/DS, TP/VS, etc.
I have seen several OSS notes that allows additional fields to be added to the CIF screen (tx = CFM1) but these fields would be more for filtering data.
We just upgraded our APO system from 3.1 to 5.0.    The CFM1 screen stayed the same in SCM 5.0.     Could it be possible that we don't have an updated CFM1 screen with the option of CIF'ing transportaion lanes??
Any information on this would be appreciated.

As you in your requirement only describe gATP, I am a bit unsure why you need the transportation lanes? There are some different ways to handle the scheduling part in gATP and you should look into this before making any decisions regarding this. Normally you can ake use of transportation zones in APO to give a goiod level of detail vs maintenance for transportation lead time scheduling. gATP also allows for usage of condition technique and, as of 5.0, a new general procudure process scheduling from which I have no experience. I can see benefitds with transportation zones and scheduling, and in this scenario it would be possoble to make use of some data (customers) that can be CIFed and grouped. But as said there are several options, please specify your requirments to see if I can support further.

Transportation lane for special procurement key is flagged for deletion

we are on SCM 7.0 and ECC 5.0 and transportation lane records are automatically created for items with special procurement keys (SPK). When we change an SPK, the old record is automatically being locked and flagged for deletion. This is causing planned orders in the old lane to not be replanned. it is therefore incorrectly indicating that a requiremnt is being met by the old planned receipt.
The documentation indicates that the lane should be locked (not locked and flagged for deletion). When it is locked, the orders are deleted and replanned in the new lane as expected. Can someone tell me if the correct behavior is for it to just be locked or to set to flagged for deletion? if it is supposed to be flagged for deletion, how do we delete the planned orders in the old lane without switching the record back to locked only?

Change of Supplying Plant in the Special Procurement Type
In the SAP R/3 system, if you have changed the supplying plant in the special procurement type, the SAP APO system creates a new transportation lane for the new supplying plant (from special procurement type) and material/plant combination. The already existing transportation lane and now invalid combination between supplying plant and receiving plant in the R/3 system is locked for orders in the SAP APO system. This can be recognized by the lock indicator X that is set by the system.
Removal of Special Procurement Type from the Material Master Record
If you have removed the special procurement type from the material master record in the SAP R/3 system, the SAP APO system locks the already created transportation lane so that it cannot be used in orders.

CMI and Transportation Lane

Hi Gurus,
We are working on VMI scenario. We need to create Transportation Lane between our DC to each customer location and assign products to each location. We mantain CMI (Customer material Inforecord) in R/3 which has delivery plant/Shipping plant for each material/Customer combination.
The question is can we create TL based on CMI record using standard CIF?

i dont think its possible to CIF customer material info record to create T lane. I was just going thru help documents and came thru creation of talens for customers by ciffing sales scheduling agreements

Problems in using database link

Hi all,
I have problems in using the following created database link:
Name: fzanalyze
User: fzanalyze
PWD: xxx
Host: fz.domain.com
I get the following error message, if I try to start this select:
select * from tab@fzanalyze;
FEHLER in Zeile 1:
ORA-12154: TNS:Couldn't resolve service name
The problem, the TNS is correct, because I copied the hoststring from the tnsnames.ora. Also I can connect to the database by using the given hostname as follows:
connect fzanalyze/[email protected]
connected
What could be the problem, the I get the tns-Error, although I can connect normal to the database??

Unlike Kamal, I don't use SQLNET anymore (isn't it obsolete from 8i+?), so I don't have any sqlnet.ora on my client or server.
I'm not really a sysop, so no clever thoughts behind the following ideas, I just use these for development purposes at home:

Unable to Create Transport request in more then one DEV client (in ChaRM)

We are having 2 Landscapes,
DV1 (100) --> QA1(100) --> PR1(100)
DV1 (200)--> QA1(200) --> PR1(100)
Both these landscapes are added in the ChaRM Project landscape. When we have created a correction and created a Workbench request, we were getting the option to choose the DEV system and we chose DV1(200). When we tried to create a TR for Customizing in DV1(100) it did not provide the pop up for DEV systems and directly created the customizing request also in DV1(200). We were unable to even create the TR in DV1 (100) - using the task 'Create Transport request' in the Task plan for the corretcion (It gave an Error that the DV1(200) is the Development system for this change).
is this the standard behaviour? can't we have TRs from different client/ development systems under the same correction?
Please clarify?

As i said earlier you will get option to choose system for creating Transport Request only in case of normal corr
but in case of urg corr
you need to give ibase for production of the cocerned landscape
e.g if u have ecc and bi and want to create transport in ecc then giv ibase for prd of ecc only
because you will not get pop up in urg corr

Every Day we are facing SNC RON XML failures due to Master Data setup issue in ECC.
I fond that we can setup a All Product Transportation Lane. I have not tried it.
I would like to seek Expert Advise on:
the -ve impacts of suggesting Client to use All Production TL. I am assuming this would actually remove the need to CIFing Info Records for New Materials.
Please advise if this is a good suggestion ?.

If you use All product for transportation lane then:
Supplier can see all the product which are there for plant in any of product field of SNC web ui by F4 help which means supplier can see product including those which he is not supplying.
Example:1234567890 is a supplier, plant ABCD and we have transportation with all product.
supplier supplies prodcut A and B only to the plant but plant has product A,B,C and D (which are CIF )
Now whenever supplier press F4 in product field of SNC Web UI supplier can see product C and D even though he is not supplying this product which not right.
Moreover, you will loose functionality like:
SNC copies the order unit, the unit conversion factors and the tolerances from the contract or info record (if no contract exists) into the PO item whenever the validation check "PO_CONTRACT_ASSIGN" si active.
