Problem 'initializing device access

I am having trouble using the desktop manager.  I connect tablet using the USB cable.  It recognizes the tablet but it doesn't proceed past the pop-up window.....'initializing device access'   In the past it has only taken a few seconds to move past this message.  I have rebooted both playbook and computer, but still no luck.

I recommend you to delete the Blackberry Drivers from your PC and Install the Desktop Manager again - This May Work out with your Problem

  • ORB JNDI and Initializing Bean Access problem

    Hello,
I am using JBuilder 7 with Mobileset 3 and Borland Enterprise Server 5.0.2.
I am trying to run one of the sample applications that came with mobileset, I am doing the following:
I am firstly starting the Server Side application:
    1. Start the Enterprise Server Management Agent (this starts the OSAgent on 14000)
    2. Run the BookStoreServer (this initialises the BookStoreServlet container, starts the web server and partition server)
If at this point I continue to follow the instructions for the sample and start the client, the client throws an EOFException when it first tries to read a stream that the server is supposed to have sent back.
Because this happens I started to look at the code on the server in detail and realised that there was a BookSearchClient which acts as a bridge for the BookStoreServlet and BookSearch session bean but this wasn't started (Which I think explains why the clients throws the EOFException).
When I try and start the BookSearchClient in the server application I was first getting org.omg.CORBA.OBJECT_NOT_EXIST but now (and I don't know why) I am receiving the following:

    hi John,
I have been stuck on this problem for 2 weeks. My servlet is tryng to lookup the home class to the session bean and crashes at runtime.

What ejb-jar*.xml (if any) did you set to allow the JNDI lookup of the session bean?
I am very keen to know!
    many thanks in advance

If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, and it's not already backed up, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is not fully functional. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    1. Boot from the Recovery partition or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
    2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.

  • ProtectTools Device Access Manager blocking Windows 10 upgrade

Hello, I'm having trouble upgrading Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10.  The installation (manual and automatic) fails due to the incompatibility of ProtectTools Security Manager (according to Microsoft). This is also described in a document I found on the HP website: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5212912&docId=emr_na-c04734799&docLocale=en_US .Before I can uninstall ProtectTools, I need to unistall other HP tools, like Device Access Manager,... And there lies my problem: how do I uninstall Device Access manager? It's not listed under 'Programs and features'. I tried uninstall tools like CCleaner and Revo Unistaller, but they can't find it either. I have installed the latest version of ProtectTools, via the SoftPaq Download Manager and disabled all features in ProtectTools, as far as I can tell. How do I uninstall the ProtectTools suite? Best regards,Wim.

I found a way to remove it, on this website: http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Device-Access-Manager-for-HP-ProtectTools-9553-program.aspx Run: MsiExec.exe /X{55B52830-024A-443E-AF61-61E1E71AFA1B} That fixed it for me.

  • How do I use airport extreme to control individual device access?

I don't understand how I can control individual device access to the web using my AirPort Extreme.
I set up the network on a PC (for technical reasons) but hoping to control access of individual devices (including a Mac but also iPods and iPads) to the web using an iPad (although can use the PC if necessary).  I have downloaded AirPort Utility on the PC and an iPad but can't work out what to do next.
Can anyone please provide some instructions or point me in the right direction?

The AE has no controls except timed access to wireless.. is that what you are after??

  • Communication problems: A device attached to the system is not functioning.

    Hi all,
I'm developing an applet and using the OMNIKEY 5321 CL reader for communication and testing. One of the requirements for our card is to read large binary data.
For this purpose i used extented lenght APDU to read the data from card.
When I tested it via JCOP simulation I was able to read up to 32767 bytes as described in specification. But problem occurs when I test it with reader, in this case I'm able to read max 298B in APDU response. When I send greater byte count than 298B i have got following error in JCShell plugin:
jcshell: requestSessionKey.jcsh[1]: Error code: -6 (Card terminal error)
jcshell: requestSessionKey.jcsh[1]: Communication problems: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
Regarding the extend lengh APDU support it should by OK from the OMNIKEY. I'm using newest driver 1.2.9.2 for Win 7.
    Here my configuration:
    JCOP:JCOP 2.4.2r1
    JAVA CARD: jc301
    Global Platform: gp22
Can somebody help me? Any ideas?

If you want to use PC/SC directly, I have a simple Go program that reads an APDU file (just hex encoded APDU strings) and sends them to a smart card. You can give that a try if you like.
    The code is at: https://bitbucket.org/safarmer/go-apdus
There is a Goclipse project as well as the source. You will need to install Go and run "go get github.com/ebfe/go.pcsclite/scard" to install the required PC/SC wrapper. Once you have done this you can run the program with -file <apth to text file>
    An example text file:
    # A comment that is ignored

  • Error on Device Access API class/interface import

    Hi,
I have followed https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:141:128148408213710::::P141_PAGE_ID,P141_SECTION_ID:144,1032#prettyPhoto/1/ video tutorial to set up Java ME Embedded development environment in my Windows system and I have chosen Raspberry PI as embedded platform for ME applications.
I thought of experimenting on Pi’s GPIO header to control a LED through a Switch. But import statement for com.oracle.deviceaccess.PeripheralConfig is giving error in NetBeans IDE and there is no Java ME library containing this interface in the ME SDK installation directory so that I can include that in project classpath to get rid of this error.
Where can I download the JAR for Device Access API?
    Please suggest…
    Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply.
I could successfully execute ‘blinking LED’ application on Raspberry PI, I have done this using DeviceManager class, GPIOPin interface present in device-io_1.0.jar which has come with ME SDK installation (C:\Java_ME_platform_SDK_8.0\lib).
But https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:141:10585690084130::::P141_PAGE_ID,P141_SECTION_ID:144,1033#prettyPhoto/2/ demonstrates the same application by using classes and interfaces present in com.oracle.deviceaccess package (for eg, com.oracle.deviceaccess.PeripheralManager, com.oracle.deviceaccess.gpio.GPIOPin) and the import on the same is not working in my IDE (compile time error).
I have used below software installers in a Windows7 system for development environment set up:
    Java SE SDK: jdk-8u11-windows-x64.exe
    Java ME SDK: oracle-jmesdk-8-0-rr-win32-bin.exe
    NetBeans all-in-one bundle: netbeans-8.0-windows.exe
NetBeans plugins for Java ME: oracle-jmesdk-8-0-rr-nb-plugins.zip
I have used only above installers.Have I missed anything during development environment setup??
    Please suggest further…
    Thanks

Are they custom EQ settings in iTunes on the computer?
    Per:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17383922#17383922
"Do the EQ settings from my iTunes library transfer to my iPhone when I sync it"
    Yes.
" thus causing my iPhone to over process the data when I turn it's EQ on? "
No. If the EQ ison, the iPhone will use the EQ setting you assigned in iTunes. It will use only the preset EQ. If you have a custom setting or do not have an EQ setting, it will not be used and will use the setting on the iPhone.

  • Problem wrapping LDAP access

We're running into problems wrapping C functions that access LDAP in Forte. We are using the Netscape Directory SDK for C (Version 4.0) and have written and compiled C code (on Solaris 2.6) into a shared library that calls out to the Netscape LDAP shared library. The problems arise once they are Forte-wrapped...
I can see from several status messages that I have within both the C functions and the TOOL code that everything is working as it should, however, Forte locks up upon completing any of the functions, and I sometimes get a "libc internal error - rmutex not held" error message. The multithreaded property for this C project is set to FALSE.
    Any insights/tips would be appreciated...

    Hi Julie,
You can try to turn on multithreading for your C project (multiThreaded -
TRUE) and use your Forte wrapper object to synchronize the access to C
functions (using for example Shared property = IsDefault). Probably, the C
project is not linked with the thread-safe libc if you are using
    multiThreaded - FALSE.

Subject: (forte-users) Problem wrapping LDAP access
We're running into problems wrapping C functions that access LDAP in
Forte. We are using the Netscape Directory SDK for C (Version 4.0) and
have written and compiled C code (on Solaris 2.6) into a shared library
that calls out to the Netscape LDAP shared library. The problems arise
    once they are Forte-wrapped...
I can see from several status messages that I have within both the C
functions and the TOOL code that everything is working as it should,
however, Forte locks up upon completing any of the functions, and I
sometimes get a "libc internal error - rmutex not held" error message.
The multithreaded property for this C project is set to FALSE.
    Any insights/tips would be appreciated...

  • Msg: You've connected a new Blackberry device, it's been initializing device for over 1 hour

I had Blackberry Desktop Manager Ver 5.x installed. I downloaded the BlackBerry Desktop Software v6.1 software from the link saying that this download was to upgrade existing desktop manager. The installation completed without issues. After starting Version 6.1 for the first time and being asked to connect a blackberry device, I connected my brand new Blackberry Bold 9930. A new window opened that said "You've connected a new BlackBerry device" "Initializing device", and it's been hanging like that for nearly 2 hours. The main window shows the Blackberry correctly seen by model, type and pin and as never synced and never backed up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bruce

Although this is advertised as an upgrade to Desktop Manager 5.x, it is really a replacement. It does not upgrade anything, but merely installs the new one. So the first thing you may want to make sure of is whether the old version is still on the computer. Go to your Control Panel on your computer and click Programs and Features. If you see any other BlackBerry Desktop Sfotware version beside the 6.1 then uninstall it. This other version could still be attempting to communicate with your device, causing this issue to occur. Make sure you reboot your computer after this is done. let me know if this helps or if you need any more help.
