Problem Integrating APPS 11i with OAS discoverer 10.1.2

Hi,
I am trying to Integrate OAS 10.1.2.0.2 Discoverer with Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2,
I am following Metalink Document Note:313418.1.
one of the steps says
7. Import Discoverer Content for Release 11i using adupdeul.sh mode=complete
so while running script adupdeul.sh
$ ./adupdeul.sh connect=sysadmin/sysadmin@VIS resp="System Administrator" gwyuid=APPLSYSPUB/PUB fndnam=APPS secgroup="Standard" topdir=/oas10g/oas10g/Iashome/discoverer/discover language=US eulprefix=EUL eultype=OLTP mode=complete iashome=/oas10g/oas10g/Iashome/discoverer logfile=import_complete_eul_us.log
I am getting following error
adupdeul: cannot find executable 'dis4adm.exe' in notgiven directory.
Please use iashome for Dicoverer 10G and above.
I have Installed Oracle Applications 11i and Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 on a single Linux box.
Please provide me inputs in solving this.
Thanks and Regards
Sandeep V

$ ./adupdeul.sh connect=sysadmin/sysadmin@VIS
resp="System Administrator" gwyuid=APPLSYSPUB/PUB
fndnam=APPS secgroup="Standard"
topdir=/oas10g/oas10g/Iashome/discoverer/discover
language=US eulprefix=EUL eultype=OLTP mode=complete
iashome=/oas10g/oas10g/Iashome/discoverer
logfile=import_complete_eul_us.log
I am getting following error
adupdeul: cannot find executable 'dis4adm.exe' in
notgiven directory.
Please use iashome for Dicoverer 10G
and above.I can see that both topdir and iashome point to the same path. Can you verify this?
topdir: Top level directory where Discoverer files are available
iashome: Oracle Application Server 10g / Business Intelligence 10g Oracle Home directory
Here is the command I used to import the .eex files:
sh adupdeul.sh connect=SYSADMIN/<password>@test resp="System Administrator" gwyuid=APPLSYSPUB/pub fndnam=apps secgroup="Standard" topdir=/u01/oracle/testbi/discoverer/discover language=US eulprefix=EUL iashome=/u01/oracle/testbi eultype=OLTP mode=complete logfile=import.log

  • Problems setting up WNA with OAS 10.1.2.0.2 and Windows 2008

    Hi,
    I am trying to set up WNA with an OAS 10.1.2.0.2 in a RHEL 4 platform. I have been able to configure Synchronization and Windows External Authentication following these steps:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b14085/odip_actdir003.htm#i1010999
    I have also tried to configure WNA without success with those steps.
    The scenario is here:
    * OAS 10.1.2.0.2 infra in a RHEL 4
    * Windows 2008 SP1 (only i use AD from it)
    * Windows XP (client) that should be able to log in without problems when WNA is configured
    How can make it work? I haven´t find any useful documentation
    Thanks,
    Max

  • Oracle Apps EUL with Custom Discoverer Views

    End User Layer Library - 10.1.2.54.25
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bi
    Oracle Applications R12 EUL
    All,
    Up until now, we have been placing our Discoverer custom views in our apps schema. From a "keeping track" perspective and from a "keep Disco views separate from apps" perspective, we are inclined to create a custom schema to place all of our custom Discoverer views. I have heard that Noetix does this as well.
    To accomplish this, we were planning to provide a grant select to all tables, views and synonyms (with a limited execute rights to some packages).
    The easiest thing to do is to keep on doing what we are presently doing. We have a naming schema in place that enables us to quickly identify all custom Disco views.
    Can I have people whom have implemented a custom schema for their Disco views in apps let me know how this has worked for them? This type of Disco environment appears to require a lot of communication between the Disco staff and the DBA to make sure these grants are set-up correctly.
    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hi,
    All the eBS sites I have worked on have created the majority of their custom views in the APPS schema using a naming convention to separate them from the seeded views. The reason being is that the SQL in the view (including all the function calls) is run with the privileges of the owner of the view. If the view is defined in another schema, then this schema must have access to the APPS database objects which can be a lot of work to set up because it is very hard to identify the dependencies and unnecessarily opens up the security on the APPS schema.
    Where the data is held in custom tables and there are views on these custom tables, then both the tables and the views are held in a separate schema.

    Ok I got Integration with Worklist on webcenter portal. If you are following this http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_worklists.htm#BEIIBCCI and are running into the same error I had. The one about the Policy Store being Invalid and are developing with Jdeveloper. This is what you do.
    1. Log into the administration server for JDeveloper.
    2. Go to deployments.
    3. click on wsm-pm
    4. select the targets tab.
    5. check the wsm-pm ( i also checked all the ones that were under it when you expanded the selection)
    6. Click change targets.
    7. Select Default server and click yes.
    8. Restart the integrated server.

  • Problem using app.launchURL with Adobe Reader X

    Hello -
      Have an application that is going live in a couple of days.  In many of our fillable PDF forms we use:
    app.launchURL("http://www.yoursitehere.com", true);
    This worked fine until our company pushed out Adobe Reader X to all of our employees.  Now the above function does nothing.
    Is anyone experiencing similar?   When I say the function does nothing, you click on button that runs the above function, and no new window opens with specified URL.

    I am not quite sure what that means.  Can you please explain?
    This has worked on same client pc before with version 7 - 9.   Now doesn't work anymore since upgrade to Adobe Reader X.
    Note:  ALL other AcroScript functions work properly
    Really appreciate any assistance you have.
    Jeremy
    *** UPDATE *** - I just tested more.   The only thing that is NOT working is the second parameter of the launchURL.
    If I remove that parameter, or put FALSE, then the URL opens.  However, it opens in the same window which is not what we need.
    Putting TRUE in there produces no result.

  • Problem on app world with my 9320

    My phone is already connected to the wireless network but when I go onto app world and click on certain apps or themes it says can not connect you please make sure your device is connected to the wireless network, is anyone else having this issue? Its really annoying me now ! Don't know how to fix it

    Hiello!!
    I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT

    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Resend Service Books

    Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
    With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

  • Problem integrating BP Architect with JDeveloper

    Hello!
    I just downloaded the Oracle BPA Suite (evaluation version) and successfully installed the BP Architect, created a sample process and then "shared with IT". I'm also using Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 and unzipped the pcbpel_bundle.zip into the JDeveloper directory.
    I then tried to follow the instructions in the BP Architect Quick Start Guide and created a new connection to the Oracle BPA Server, which runs on the same host. So I select "Local Server" and it also loads the list of available databases correctly. I enter username and password (I suppose I have to use the "system"-account as I did not manually create any other users). But when I want to test the connection, I just get
    "Testing BPA server connection...
    Test failed!"
    I'm pretty sure that I did enter the correct credentials ... and both the Oracle database (I'm using XE 10g) and the BP Architect are running!
    Any hints?
    Thanks!
    Edit: Shame on me ... I didn't realize that this was a different "system"-account and that it was still using the default password... this problem resolved now!
    But I got a new one: trying to use the exported blue print in JDeveloper, I get the following error:
    java.lang.Exception: undefined
         at oracle.bpa.remote.RepositoryService.export(RepositoryService.java:190)

    What am I missing here?! Thanks!

    Hi there,
    I am running into the same issue when I try to create a new model. When you say different "system" account, what was the password and were you able to change it? I am using XE 10g and I did not set the passwords for the ARIS user accounts. I looked at the BPA Suite installation guide and did not see anything regarding password for these accounts.
    Thanks

  • Problem integrating other objects with a 3D model in After Effects

    Hello there!
    SO HERE'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO DO
    For the intro to an episode of my webshow I wanted to have the camera come up from behind the couch (the current movement is a bit berserk but that's another issue) and have it come up to the television.
    As it's coming to the tv, I'd like to have it show static or perhaps some bars, then change to either a series of still images or a video clip (whichever gets the job done) displaying the fake commercial to go with the narration.
    Finally, after the commercial is done, the camera is to move so the tv screen fills the frame and then I'll transition to the body of the episode.
    WHAT I'VE TRIED (AND SEEN FAIL)
    1) Greenscreening: This is why the tv screen is the color it currently is. This doesn't work, though, since the TV image is static while camera is not and so it's as if the TV frame is shifting wildly around the image put underneath it in another layer in Premiere.
    2) Laying the image over: I tried to brute force it with a layer above the imported Adobe After Effects Composition but even if I could get the camera to sit at a perfect angle for aligning the overlayed image, it only solves my problem for the middle stage (the commercial) - it seems to be impossible (or at least incredibly time consuming) to try and get the overlayed image to align for the first stage where the camera is coming across the room.
    3) Inserting the TV image in the After Effects Composition: Whether I do it as a 2D or 3D image, any still or clip that I want to "play" on the television is always in front of the 3D living room model - though I can move a camera inside the room, I can't move any objects it seems.
    Now these are being put in as a new layer above the model and I imagine this is what's screwing things up, but I can't insert them into the model in After Effects (I don't think) and since I have more than one image or clip to display on the tv that makes altering the original .psd file a no-go.
    SOME TECHNICAL DETAILS
    The original model can be found here. It started as a Google Sketchup file that was exported as a .dae into Photoshop, then saved as a .psd that could be brought into After Effects.
    Software being used is Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop (all CS5) and the latest edition of Google Sketchup.
    Any help beyond "BUY SOFTWARE X, YOU FOOL" would be really appreciated! I've been working very hard to up the quality of my show with this latest episode and working out the intro is all that's left to do before rendering and uploading!
    Cheers,
    Oliver

    3) Inserting the TV image in the After Effects Composition: Whether I do it as a 2D or 3D image, any still or clip that I want to "play" on the television is always in front of the 3D living room model - though I can move a camera inside the room, I can't move any objects it seems.
    You are misunderstanding Photoshop Live 3D and overestimating its potential, that's why. Just like any other 3D-ish effect (Shatter, Particular, Form, Card Dance etc.) it is a peek through a window in a 3D world, but not AE's own 3D world. There is no interaction beyond the plug-ins and effects responding to the AE camera. That's all it is. The rest must come from within the effect/ plug-in itself, but in this case it doesn't, because PS 3D by itself is lamer than lame. Anyway, long-standing and well known limitations in AE's "3D". Not all is lost, though. If you can work your way around building a UV pass as explained here, you might be able to stick your content into the scene rather seamlessly, after all. And lucky for you, you can  try this for free these days using a PixelBender filter. I'd still recommend the commercial Re:Map because of the quality, though...

  • App Store with blank window, no more response

    Til my iPad3 upgrade to iOS7, when I switch my apple id, App Store will open with a blank window, few seconds later, it prompt "can not connect to App Store'
    Then, when I open App Store, the App Store is white page with bottom buttons(no title), and no more response when I click the bottom buttons.
    And sometimes I click the app URL from safari, App Store can open a window with the related app intro, but If I did not click the black spce to let the window disappear, next time I click a new URL, the same problem raised, App Store with the blank window, and no more response. Sometimes App Store was crashed directly.
    I did recovery ipsw to fix the problem with DFU mode, but seems not useful.
    Only reboot the iPad can fix it temporary.
    I have to reboot the iPad more and more times. It is horrible.
    Is there anyone has the same problem, did u have any idea to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Thanks Carolyn, But it is still not working.
    Specially the second point, If I open a new URL, the App Store background is from white to grey, and I click the black space, the old window shows, and did not disappear whatever I did.
    This might be the reason that App Store is no response.
    And I have no idea what's going on.
    I have to reboot the iPad AGAIN.>_<

  • Install instructions for Search Modeler and integrating with Apps 11i

    Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
    Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
    There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
    I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
    o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
    o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
    o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
    o SES CPU patch apply
    o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
    o Search Modeler installation and configuration
    o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
    o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
    using aussearchdev initially

    we're going to go with the standalone OC4j 10.1.3.3 and Oracle ADF 10.1.3.3 method
    The URLs for these products are
    http://blogs.oracle.com/ebssearch/2009/10/available_now_oracle_search_modeler_11_for_oracle_e-business_suite_11i.html
    and specifically
    OC4J - http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/101330/oc4j_extended_101330.zip
    ADF - http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/adfinstaller10133.html
    OC4J install
    First you need to have Java 1.5 on the machine. Latest is 1.5.0_22. Package is in /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES
    as root on aussearchdev
    cd /usr/local
    cp /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin .
    chmod 700 jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
    ./jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
    yes
    install OC4J just by copying over the directory
    as oracle on aussearchdev
    mkdir -p /d01/oracle/oc4j
    cd /d01/oracle/oc4j
    cp -r /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/oc4j/* .
    ADF install
    vi /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf/adfinstaller.properties
    change the following
    OracleHome = /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
    DesHome = /d01/oracle/oc4j/
    type = OC4J
    as root
    cd /usr/bin
    rm java
    (yes)
    ln -s /usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22/bin/java
    su - oracle
    java -version     should now return 1.5.0_22
    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22
    cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
    java -jar runinstaller.jar -version
    returns The version for the ADF libraries being installed is 10.1.3.41.57 - yes, that is apparently 10.1.3.3.
    java -jar runinstaller.jar adfinstaller.properties
    output looks good, do not be concerned by

    as the line immediately preceding IMPORT -
    so the end of the file looks like this:
    # system properies: separated by space for multiple system properties or define multiple SYSTEM_PROPERTIES
    # logLevel values: DEBUG(2), INFO(4), WARN(6), ERROR(8), FATAL(10)
    SYSTEM_PROPERTIES -Doracle.search.logLevel=4 -Doracle.search.log=oracle.search.util.Log4jImpl
    USE_IN_MEMORY_QUEUE Oracle E-Business Suite R12
    IMPORT -
    Now on to patch 8321527

    Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
    Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
    There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
    I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
    o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
    o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
    o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
    o SES CPU patch apply
    o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
    o Search Modeler installation and configuration
    o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
    o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
    using aussearchdev initially
    rh4 x86, default oracle build

    we're going to go with the standalone OC4j 10.1.3.3 and Oracle ADF 10.1.3.3 method
    The URLs for these products are
    http://blogs.oracle.com/ebssearch/2009/10/available_now_oracle_search_modeler_11_for_oracle_e-business_suite_11i.html
    and specifically
    OC4J - http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/101330/oc4j_extended_101330.zip
    ADF - http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jdev/htdocs/adfinstaller10133.html
    OC4J install
    First you need to have Java 1.5 on the machine. Latest is 1.5.0_22. Package is in /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES
    as root on aussearchdev
    cd /usr/local
    cp /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin .
    chmod 700 jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
    ./jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bin
    yes
    install OC4J just by copying over the directory
    as oracle on aussearchdev
    mkdir -p /d01/oracle/oc4j
    cd /d01/oracle/oc4j
    cp -r /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/oc4j/* .
    ADF install
    vi /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf/adfinstaller.properties
    change the following
    OracleHome = /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
    DesHome = /d01/oracle/oc4j/
    type = OC4J
    as root
    cd /usr/bin
    rm java
    (yes)
    ln -s /usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22/bin/java
    su - oracle
    java -version     should now return 1.5.0_22
    export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_22
    cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/adf
    java -jar runinstaller.jar -version
    returns The version for the ADF libraries being installed is 10.1.3.41.57 - yes, that is apparently 10.1.3.3.
    java -jar runinstaller.jar adfinstaller.properties
    output looks good, do not be concerned by

    For troubleshooting, if you go to end of /d01/oracle/10.1.8/sesdev/search/data/config/crawler.dat
    you can modify the logLevel from the default of 4 to 2 to get better debug data. No services need to be restarted, it will become active with the next crawl.
    While talking with Oracle, they mentioned the following patches
    The patches identified 8321527 and 7586924 are SES patches to help with indexing
    They also identified patch 9103851 which is an apps patch dealing with responsibilities <-- This is not yet available
    Applying patch 7586924
    as oracle on aussearchdev
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    ./searchctl stopall
    cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/post_patches/7586924
    opatch apply
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    ./searchctl startall
    sqlplus eqsys/XXXXXX@SESDEV
    define SCH_NAME=EQSYS
    define PROXY_USER=EQPROXY
    define INST_USER=EQ_TEST
    @$ORACLE_HOME/search/admin/eq0pkh.sql
    @$ORACLE_HOME/search/admin/eq0plb.sql
    @$ORACLE_HOME/search/admin/eq0bug_7586924.sql
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/search/data/config/
    cp crawler.dat crawler.dat.backup.03102010
    vi crawler.dat
    We're using the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 crawler, so we will add the line
    USE_IN_MEMORY_QUEUE Oracle E-Business Suite R12
    as the line immediately preceding IMPORT -
    so the end of the file looks like this:
    # system properies: separated by space for multiple system properties or define multiple SYSTEM_PROPERTIES
    # logLevel values: DEBUG(2), INFO(4), WARN(6), ERROR(8), FATAL(10)
    SYSTEM_PROPERTIES -Doracle.search.logLevel=4 -Doracle.search.log=oracle.search.util.Log4jImpl
    USE_IN_MEMORY_QUEUE Oracle E-Business Suite R12
    IMPORT -
    Now on to patch 8321527
    cd /mnt/oraclebackup/deathstar_patches/SES/post_patches/8321527
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    ./searchctl stopall
    cd -
    opatch apply
    cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
    ./searchctl startall
    sqlplus eqsys/XXXXXXX@SESDEV
    define SCH_NAME=EQSYS
    define PROXY_USER=EQPROXY
    select object_name from user_objects where status = 'INVALID';
    --should be no rows selected
    @$ORACLE_HOME/search/admin/eq0pkh.sql
    @$ORACLE_HOME/search/admin/eq0plb.sql
    --should be no rows selected
    restart SES
    cd -
    ./searchctl stopall
    ./searchctl startall

  • Oracle iPortal Integration with Oracle Apps 11i via SSO

    How can we integrate Oracle iPortal with Oracle Apps 11i via SSO?
    Is there any documentation on this topic that anybody could share ([email protected])? I have already searched the Portal Studio and the Metalink without much success.
    Any suggestions and possible recommendations/solutions are highly appreciated! Thank you for answering this post!
    Best regards,
    Lina Danchenko
    P.S. I am unable to view the note 146469.1 Configuring Oracle Applications with Oracle Portal on the Metalink. Any idea where I can find it? Thanks in advance!

    In a future release, Oracle Apps will be integrated with SSO out of the box.
    Currently there is a pilot program which several companies are participating in to beta-test this
    integration, but this program is not open to additional customers.
    Please speak with your Oracle sales representative to get a better idea of current options
    and general availability dates.
    You do have the option now of just configuring Oracle Apps as an External Application.
