Problem invoking AIR on RHEL 5.1 machine

Hi,
We have been able to successfully install AIR application .rpm on REHL 5 machine. But, it just sits there but no success in being able to open it or any .sir help files using that.
Please help.

This was the issue. the sapinit was never updated at the time they updated the DB from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.04 and the application part. and I was kind of on the right way with my tail -n +2. Was just that in the new sapinit there was a new function linux_get_process_args where tail was used the correct way for Linux.

Then I might add an add-on question to the sapinit.
On the Production Servers we only have one Instance of the application service but on the Development and Integration instances we have them running on the same physical server.
How would this work on such a setup? Somehow sapinit is supposed to read /usr/sap/sapservices for getting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH correct and from what I can see this one is tied to one single SAP Instance. Any idea on how to handle this
Creating a 2nd sapinit_XYZ where one change the environment variable SAPSERVICE_PATH to point to a /usr/sap/sapservices_YYZ and in the /usr/sap/sapservices_XYZ set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to sute the XYZ Instane?

Problem launching Air 1.5 app in Windows 7

I've got an internal tool that is written in Flex/Air and distributed to our content designers for producing game content. It's been working great until we started getting Windows 7 machines in the office. On some of these machines, after installing Flash/Air and our tool (TerrainEdit), TerrainEdit will just fail to launch. Everything claims it installed fine, a process gets started (which I can see in Task Manager), but as far as I can tell my code never gets called. I've tried putting a log file write in the init function and it never happens. Since I'm an Air app it doesn't write to the flash log. The first time this occured I managed through some combination of uninstalls of air, reinstalls of air, reboots of the machine, etc to have it just start working. So I wrote it off as a Windows 7 fluke. But now it's happening again, and I can't seem to make it work. I've tried clean installs of flash, air, and TerrainEdit, and I'm getting exactly the same result. A process spins up, but it never gets to me. Anyone else seen something like this? Have a magic incantation I can try to make it work? I'm worried this will become an ongoing hassle as more new machines with Windows 7 appear in house.

So I made some progress on this, which might point to the answer. It appears that installing my app in Program Files x86 is the issue. If
I try to install in Program Files it redirects to x86, and continues to fail. If however, I install in a completely different directory, say c:\tmp\TerrainEdit, then it runs just fine. So I suspect there's some funky permissions problem between air and Windows 7 with running out of the holy thou shall not touch Program Files directory, but it works fine elsewhere.

Invoke windows sound recorder in host machine by flex application

I have a flex application which provides option to invoke
windows sound recorder in client machine. User provides path of
windows sound recorder exe file and using 'navigateToURL('path of
recorder given by user)' method i plan to invoke the recorder in
client machine.
While executing this code in flex builder it runs properly
and invokes recorder. Then i deployed the flex application in a
server and requested using internet explorer. But this time it does
not invoke recorder. The error messge it displayed is gi ven below
SecurityError: Error #2148: SWF file

cannot access local resource C:\WINNT\system32\sndrec32.exe. Only
local-with-filesystem and trusted local SWF files may access local
resources.

I think it is a security issue of sand boxes. Anyway i tried
to make the directory where exe file is kept (ie. system32) as a
trusted location using 'Global security settings panel'. But that
also did not solve the problem. I think only swf files, not any
other files, in the trusted local directories can be accessed by
the remote flex application. Is it right ???
Anyway i dont wish to keep any swf file under
'local-with-filesystem' sandbox in client machine.

The problem is I am not able to connect to database (11i/R12) from host machine. I am successfully able to run the application from host machine after putting entry in "hosts" file.What is the error?
To connect to database I have installed Oracle 9i client on host machine and put the entry in TNSNAMES.ORA generated by 11i/R12, but even doing so I am not able to connect to database.Are you able to tnsping the entry? If not, what is the error?
Please make sure you also follow the steps in (Note 291897.1 - 11.5.10 New Features : Managed SQL*Net Access from Hosts).
Is there any way I can connect to database (Installed on VMWARE) from HOST Machine.Post the error you get when you connect to the database remotely as well as the output of tnsping command.

Update on playback problems with AIR 3.5 on desktop

Adobe has received reports that desktop AIR 3.5 users of BBC iPlayer and Digital Theatre Desktop Player are no longer able to play or download video after upgrading from AIR 3.4 or earlier. Specifically, the user will attempt to play the video and will get a black video window or will fail to successfully download videos. Adobe is working on a permanent resolution for the issue in AIR 3.5. In parallel, Adobe is working closely with the BBC and Digital Theatre to offer support and investigate interim resolutions. We will publish an update as soon as we have released the fix.
In the meantime, the work-around for affected users is to migrate back to AIR 3.4. The following link provides instructions for determining the version of AIR currently installed on your machine. If you believe you may be experiencing a video playback problem caused by migrating to AIR 3.5, your video service should be able to tell you whether they believe going back to AIR 3.4 or earlier will resolve the problem. If instructed to do so, the following steps here can help you uninstall your current version and locate and install a specific AIR version for installation on your Windows or Mac PC.
Please feel free to report your issue or reproducible steps here and we will alert you once a fix has been put in place. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued support.

Please note that I have followed the BBC's instructions to uninstall Air v3.5 and iPlayer Desktop and then install Air v3.4 and iPlayer Desktop, but contrary to what they and you say, this has made no difference - iPlayer still can't download programmes to iPlayer Desktop and it still can't find the programmes I had previously downloaded. I surmise that maybe uninstalling wasn't enough and that some fault remains that still prevents the programme from working. I am not an IT expert, so I would need more comprehensive instructions to fix this.
You may like to note that I downloaded Air v3.5 several days before iPlayer Desktop failed, and I am pretty sure that I used iPlayer Desktop in between times. After it failed, it was very reluctant to even open, let alone do anything when, after repeated instructions, it finally did open.
You may also like to note that I began to experience a ridiculous amount of buffering on radio playback straight from the BBC website before and after iPlayer Desktop failed. I don't think it can have been a broadband issue, as I could stream both TV and radio live and I could stream TV playback with no problem. Since reverting to Air v3.4, I have had no buffering. I doubt whether this is a coincidence.

I am out of space on my Macbook Air and have a Time Machine Backup. I want to complete reset my mac, but wonder if I can pick and choose what I restore to my computer? Can I also use my time machine backup and external storage as well?

If you are using "Restore from Time Machine Backup" option from OS X Recovery, you can only choose from the broad categories presented.

To be clear, if you are asking if you can use the volume containing your Time Machine backup to store additional, non-Time Machine files, the short answer is yes.
It's not a good idea though, since the Time Machine backup will eventually fill all available space, after which it begins to remove old, "expired" backups to make room for newer ones. The presence of additional files doesn't change that fact, and Time Machine will not erase them, but you will encounter a dilemma should you want to store additional files on that volume when there is no remaining space. You will have to make room for them on your own, by deleting existing files. Furthermore, since Time Machine cannot back up its own volume, those additional files will not be backed up by Time Machine.
The easy solution for what you describe is to purchase additional external storage. External USB hard disk drives have become very inexpensive; about $55 will buy a perfectly suitable 1 TB drive.
You can also choose to replace your MacBook Air's internal storage with a larger capacity one. Look for a suitable replacement from OWC / MacSales:

That gets a little more expensive but it is the optimum solution.

I have a Cisco AIR-LAP1131AG-E-K9 when I boot one accesspoint it gives Ethernet LED = Off; Radio LED = RED ; Status LED = RED and only next listing in the screen:

When I type this commands, it doesn't help at all. The output will be following:

We have written a utility program which create socket (Using windows standard method [MFC]), and then make connection with another service (List Display) running
on port 3334 in different machine and retrieve the required list data. This program was working fine in almost all the machines.
But, we have received a severe intermittent issue on two machines. Client is facing issue in displaying the list data from port 3334.
Attempt: -
First we tried to debug code, and we come to know that socket is not creating in utility program. So we tried to telnet on ListDisplay service port 3334 and we were surprised that we were able to telnet, then we opened some more
telnet window on same port 3334 around (6 to 8) window, and each cmd connected properly. But we were not able to create socket from utility program.
Problem is severe because issue is intermittent.
We have tried all the way, but we are not able to figure it out, that what can be the exact problem and what are the conditions, when utility program will not
connect with ListDisplay service on port 3334.
Kindly assist to resolve this issue. For any help, we would be really thankful.

Since the port 3334 is used by directv-web service, I'd like to suggest check this service it is working well on the problematic clients.
1. The client can be resolved in DNS well? Please run "nslookup" in the prompt command.
2. Is there any 3rd party application interrupting? Do test in clean boot.
2. Strongly suggest you run process monitor tool to analysis it.

You may use Field Exit to do this enhancement. You can create fieldexit from report RSMODPRF.
In order to use field exit check/activate Profile Parameter abap/fieldexit using t code RZ11.

Problem Installing Air on 2 Macs

I'm having a problem installing Air on 2 macs. The symptoms are the same - the installer launches and nothing else happens.
Configuration 1:
Macbook Pro (Feb 2008); 2.5 GHz; MacOS 10.6.3
Configuration 2:
PowerMac G5; dual 2.5 GHz; MacOS 10.5.8
Both computers have Design Premium CS3 installed, in case that matters.
Here's the log off of the laptop:

Version of this installer: 1.5.3.9130
Installation type: new
And there it stays. The installer is running and I can choose Quit from its menu. It looks like it's waiting for user authentication, but the dialog never appears. Since the symptoms on both are the same, I'm guessing that whatever the cause is something common to both computers. I've had no problems installing Flash or any other program. This looks to be specific to Air.
FWIW, I tried installing the beta of Air 2.0 hoping that might work. No difference! Here's that log (from Console):

I have an iMac OS X 10.6.8 and have problems with the backup Disk for Time Machine disconnecting itself with the message that I ejected it improperly.. It ejected itself - why?

I have an iMac OS X 10.6.8 and have problems with the backup drive to Time Machine ejecting itself and so does not automatically backup the way it is meant to do. It is connected with an USB cable to my iMac. What could cause this - malfuntioning drive?

The "iLife" apps are not part of any Mac operating system install and are a separate purchase.
Once you get past 10.6.6 you can purchase and download iPhoto, GarageBand and iMovie. iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued.
Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and higher include the App Store application which is what you use to purchase Lion.

Getting the error " [java] Problem invoking WLST - java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find the OffLine WLST class " while building the O2A 2.1.0 PIP. We have basically the same issue when we try to create the interpreter using the embedded method..
I was able to use the interpreter embedded in a java client as long as the weblogic jars were located in a weblogic install if I tried to use them from a maven repository no luck at all...
All of this worked easily in 9.2 now in 10.3 it seems more error prone and less documented.
I have seen close to a 100 posts on issues related to this so is there a document which outlines specifics....
We / I have used weblogic now for almost 10 years and moving from 8.1 to 9.2 was painful and we expected the move from 9.2 to 10.3 not to be soo bad but its proving to be as painful if not more painful than moving to 9.2. We seem to spend a good bit of our time working around issues in the next new release that were not in the previous one..
Any help would be appreciated I think we will open a support case but even that is more painful...

PS: We confirmed that all jars in the startweblogic classpath were in the startup. The server we have the embedded wlst instance is a managed server and we are using the component in a war... Are there any restrictions which we are unaware of.

Problems with AIR-BR1310

Hy,
I have problems with AIR-BR1310.
When the bridge boot this is the sequence on LEDs indication :
Sequence 1: R-blinking green S-blinking green E-off I-red
Sequence 2: R-off , S-green, E -red, I –red
and the sequence continue.
I connected a laptop at console port on power injector but in hyperterminal I cannot see anything.
I changed the power injector and the symptoms was the same.
To function properly the correct sequence 2 for LEDs indication should be:
Sequence 2: R-off , S-green, E-green , I –red
What does it mean?
What i can do ?
It ' s possible to resolve this issue?
