Problem with assembling flattened PDFs with XFA docs

I have a flattened PDF (legacy) doc that I am sending into a livecycle process to merge with an XFA doc that I am creating on the server. Assembler will not allow me to assemble the docs in the following order:
1. flattened PDF
2. XFA doc
I CAN do the reverse order just fine. Problem is order DOES matter and I need the XFA last.
Any thoughts on how I can reach that end result? I was thinking of doing the merge in the wrong order and then maybe reordering the pages, but don't know how to do that either.
Any help would be VERY appreciated!

Try specifying the xfa doc as the base document, i.e.:

Problems with assembly update in Biztalk production server

Hi.
I'm facing a problem I cannot solve about an update in one of the resources of an application in Biztalk production server.
Suddenly a bug in an application that receives messages through an external web service appeared. To find out where the bug was occurring, the orchestration was filled with many EventLogs and some other things to test. After the bug was tracked and corrected,
it was added an update in resource with the original code of orchestration, that way the EventLogs were no more logged in Event Viewer and the other things wouldn't exists in production.
Occurrs that the EventLogs are still being logged in Event Viewer. Even after the resource was added many times in server and after many resets in the host instances.
The problem aren't the logged events, are the other things that we must remove from production to avoid headaches.
There is a way to fix this? Or some better way to search a resolution for that?
I'm thinking remove the resource, reset the hosts instances, then add the resource and reset again, but for me this is very hardcore, even more in the production Server.
Usually, the deployment in production Server is made based in the import of msi files and execution of this files. The "Add -> Biztalk Assemblies" method was used this time only because was an emergency. I don't know if makes sense.

Enabling the options for GAC as you did, should GAC the components.
BizTalk uses
C:\Windows\assembly folder for assemblies. So when you import the msi with GACing options enables, ensure the assemblies are gaced in C:\Windows\assembly folder.
Otherwise, just drag and drop the assemblies from your folder to this folder. Or using command prompt
cd to c:\windows\assembly\gac_msil and copy the assembly from your folder.
Ensure you have GACed the assemblies in all the BizTalk processing machines when you more than one BizTalk machines.
Also ensure you’re restarting the correct host instances. If the artefact under the isolated host instance, ensure Application pool /IIS is restarted.

Problem with Assemble Test VIs for Run-Time Distribution

I get an error that a file is already in memory and that I will have to remove it before I can build the application. The file in question is Get File System Seperator.vi. It lives in vi.lib\Utility\sysinfo.llb. If it is not a stock vi from national and was placed there by some other add on tools (perhaps an OpenG toolkit), how can I disable it? Labview itself will not boot without this sysinfo.llb.
I am using TestStand Engine 2.01 on the XP system and 2.01f1 on win2000 with the same results. I am not using numerical limits so the fix (patch) for multiple numerical limits does not seem to be needed.

In the description of your problem you state that "I will have to remove it before I can build the application". I was wondering if you could elaborate on the scenario you are describing because this is a little bit confusing to me as it is. The "Assemble Test VIs for Run-Time Distribution" tool in the Sequence Editor does not involve "building an application" as part of the process of using it. When you select the menu option for this tool, a TestStand sequence is invoked that has a few LV VI steps in it which perform the VI Assembly process, with no application building involved (just searching through sequences for top-level vis, their sub-vis, and copying them all into a directory you choose). I hope this describes what it is I'm not understanding about your statement, but to explain why it is that I feel this is important is in order to reproduce the problem I need to know exactly what it is you are doing at the time of encountering the problem. To go over a common set of issues people encounter when they use this tool, I would like to see if you have tried the following:
1) Have you checked to make sure that the LabVIEW Standard Prototype Adapter is configured to use the LabVIEW development environment as its Run-Time Server before running the tool. It will not work if the adapter is set to use TestStand LVRTS or TestStandGUILVRTS. The assembly tool requires features of the full LV IDE to perform the functions it carries out, and you will get an error if the adapter is configured improperly. To check this out, go to Configure >> Adapters..., select the LV Adapter in the listbox, then click the Configure button. In the second dialog, change the run-time server option to "LabVIEW".
2) Are you actually trying to build the Assemble Test VIs for Runtime Distribution tool into an application? (This is not an intended use of the tool's VIs).
3) Before running the assembly tool, have you tried using the Sequence Editor's File >> Unload All Modules option?
Let me know if you have tried the above things or if you are doing any of the "unintended" things with the tool so I can get a better grasp of when it is you are seeing the problem. Again, the goal would be for us to reproduce it.

Problem in Assembly Processing in Project System

Hello All,
My Client want to implement Assembly Processing. We have configured the system as per SAP Standard. we are testing this in Quality System along with SD & PP Modules. we have template which contain Material WBS Process WBS & Other Cost WBS But we are getting all cost of material and process cost on one Material WBS after Production order confirmation. How can we divide this cost separately for Material & Process WBS.
As SAP Standard Process we maintained activities for different process also but when we tested this we are not clear about the use of these activities. We are not getting any cost or don't have any relation in any way for these activities.
Please Help me about this Assembly Process.

Create a Sales order in VA01, while creating sales order, as soon as we assign the material component in SD line item a pop will come for entering std wbs, std ntw, network profile. once we enter this at bottom we can see that scheduling is carried out. Note: if we define material/std wbs/std ntw in CN08 then pop will not come. Now check for errors and save the sales order, at bottom we can see that project order is created. Note: Project number is same as sales order no:---OK
4. in Billing plan tab at item level we can see the milestones for new project.--In sales order i don't see any milestone or any type of setting. can you please tell me about this we are not able to execute milestone billing in our case.
Ans to Query: For Milestone billing to work you need to do the following settings in SAPSD
1. Create Billing Plan in SD and assign the Billing Plan to Sales Document type you are using. Path: IMGSDBillingBilling Plan
2. In the above node , do settings for Define Billing Plan Types, Define And Assign Date Categories, Maintain Date Proposals For Billing Plan Types, Assign Billing Plan Types To Sales Document Types, Assign Billing Plan Types To Item Categories.
By doing above settings you will get an additional tab u201CBilling Planu201D in Sales order where you can get the milestones generated for new project. For exiting project you can copy milestones to SD from project.
If you want Billing Plan at sales document item level, assign the billing plan type in Item category.
5. In Sales order we can see that billing lock is set against the milestones.---Not Found

Problem with assembling folios for diff renditions

Hi, I recently ran into a problem when combining a publication.
I made several folios with ipad2 and ipad3 renditions and combine them to made a publication. Since the meta files are identical, there is no easy way to check whether all files are 1024 or 2048 in resolution.

Problem printing assembled forms

Hi,
I have 4 forms in the following sequence:
Form 1 - 8.5x11 - Duplex - 4 pages
Form 2 - 8.5x14 - Simplex - 1 page
Form 3 - 8.5x14 - Duplex - 2 pagres
Form 4 - 8.5x11 - Simplex - 1 page
I am assembling these forms using invokeDDX. When I print the merged/assembled output directly using generatePrintedOutput, this package prints perfectly.
Whereas when I print using generatePDFOutput, Form 3 starts printing on the backside of Form 2. Whereas Form 4 prints alright as a single page Simplex.
What might be going wrong? The DDX that I have simply takes the XDPs and generates merged XDP.

I came accross this discussion but found the answer sheet empty.I'd like little help from you regarding how did you actually embeded duplex and simplex properties to different forms.
I checked out the forms from workbench and in the designer (File-> FormProperties-> PDF Print Options-> select duplex mode). After saving and checking in and running the java code, the assembled PDF is still showing a property of Simplex. Could you please help me if you can, if there is any need to tweak java properties to set these printing options. I really appreciate your help.

Problem compiling assembler using as

I am attempting to learn how to program in assembler for my intel mac mini. I wrote a hello world in C and ran gcc with the -S option to have a look.
gcc hello_world.c -o hello_world.s -S
Then, I tried to use as to assemble this file.
as hello_world.s -o hello_world
When I attempted to run the file, I was told I didn't have the correct permissions so I chmoded the file.
chmod 755 hello_world
Now, when I try to run the executable, it comes up the with message:
-bash: ./hello_world: Bad executable (or shared library)
Looking at the file information for hello_world, it says:
Kind: Unix Executable (Intel) - which I would assume should run?
If someone could tell what I'm doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated.

You're missing a step (or steps). What as does is compile an object code library. You need to link it to the system libaries in order to make an executable.
So your steps should look like this:
<pre class="command">gcc hello_world.c -o hello_world.s -S
as hello_world.s -o hello_world.o
gcc hello_world.o -o hello_world</pre>Now you should be able to run the program:
<pre class="command">./hello_world</pre>
Notice that we create an object file (".o") in the second step to be used in the third one. You might be able to figure out how to use ld directly if you add -v to get more information on what it's up to in the last step:

Problem with p45d3 and sapphire hd4870 1gb

Hi to all I have a big problem the mother card and video card.
Do you know if there is some problem among the p45d3 platinum and the sapphire hd4870 1 gb ram?
I have assembled a new pc:
-MAIN BOARD: P45D3 platinum bios 1.6
- CPU: core 2 quads q9550
- RAM: 2*1gb ddr3s 1333 mhz kingston dual channel
- Video card: sapphire hd4870 1 gb ram
- 4 hard disk raptor 150 gb raid 0
Here my problems just assembled with bios 1.2 during the loading of the bios senseless symbols appeared, I have installed the catalists and the pc it was restarted, adjourned the bios to the version 1.6, resolved the problems of loading of the bios and the reboot, now the pc is stable however I don't succeed in playing.
Problems in the games:
- GRID as soon as I end the initial competition for then to start the real game it goes out to the desktop, writing that the application will be closed.
- NEED FOR SPEED UNDERCOVER I play then for some minutes the game it starts to slow down up to jam.
- PRINCE OF PERSIA during the loading of the first level up to jam.
I have tried both the catalysts 8.12 that him 8.10 but always the same problems.

Good morning as PSU I use an Enermax eg701 600w I have checked on the site amd and it is compatible to support the video card.
No I don't have the possibility to check the video card on another PC.
To level of feeding I think both everything ok because on the video card there are three led and they are all green ones.
I have tried to perform the virtualmark it is as value it results 14200, therefore I think that the card him ok.
The only thing that stays me to think that an incompatibility has remained among main board and video card.

Assembler not showing up after ATG 10.1.1 integration with endeca

Try the following.
-cd into /var/imap (or wherever your cyrus database - not the spool) is.
-inside there is a directory called user, which in turn contains directories for each letter of the alphabet. if you look inside r (for robert) you should see files called robert.seen, robert.sub, rob.seen, rob.sub.
-stop mail services and delete the files.
-start mail services and fire up Mail.app while keeping fingers crossed
Failing that, you will probably have to reconstruct the whole database and not just the user.

Assembly of pdfs - "insufficent data for an image" and blank page

Hello.
We are using Adobe Livecycle Assembler 8.2 to assemble a set of pdfs uploaded by end-users together with a pdf that our application create. We have been using the assembler and pdf generator for å few years.
Lately we have had a couple of situations that our custoumer is not very happy with.
Situation 1:
Assembly of 5 pdf is sucessful, but when we open the assembled pdf, one page (representing one attachemnt upload by an end-user) is displayed as an blank page. The attachment is correctly displayed in the table of content with a bookmark to the blank page. The first time scrolling over the blank page in Adobe Reader X, a popup with the message "Insufficent data for an image" is shown. Our applications has no knowledge that the assembly is not sucessful, so its difficult to identify the problem. It seems like the pdf is a scanned image (Producer: AXIS 70U Network Document Server). Have also viewed the assembled pdf in another pdf-reader, but still the same blank page and popup.
Situation 2:
Assembly of a few pdfs is sucessful, but when we open the assembled pdf, one page (representing one attachemnt upload by an end-user) is displayed as an blank page. So fare same as situation 1. However, the attachment is not displayed in the table of content and no popup is given when scrolling over the blank page representing the attachment, just a blank page.
I am looking at a way of detecting pdf that would cause these problems (if I can't fix the pdfs). Maybe there is a way (programtically with iText?) to check if the pdf contains fonts and if not, regard it as a scanned image and mark it as problematic (most scanned pdfs are assembled just fine). Earlier on we had another problem when assembly pdfs, we then got an exception "PDFUnsupportedFeatureException: FlateDecode Filter". Our solution was then to use PDF Generator to convert all uploaded pdfs(attachments) to ps, then back to pdf and reassemble. This approch also works in situation 1 and 2. However we have no failing applications with exceptions now... Doing the pdf2ps2pdf for all attachments is very time consuming and not a good solution for our customer.
Do anybody have a clue what is wrong with our pdfs? Is there a way of solving this when doing the assembly? Any DDX-tags that might do anything nice?
The data in the pdfs are sensitive information, so I can't attach them to this post. Can send the metadata if requested.

Haven't seen that error before. How are you converting the data after the function call if at all, i.e., are you moving to an XSTRING before handing it off to the web app?
The things I would suggest which may be stating the obvious are:
- Download the PDF locally after conversion with GUI_DOWNLOAD and check for the error
- Does the same issue occur with program RSTXPDFT4 or fm RSPO_RETURN_SPOOLJOB or a SAPOffice (direct) conversion?
- Remove the logo and try and/or take the original logo, reconvert it to BMP and upload it again in SE78
- What happens if you change the destination device in the call, if anything?
- Does OSS note 1320163 apply?

As RAD v6.0 tool supports webservices and configured with IBM websphere application server 5.1 as prescribed by the customer, i chosed this option of using the tool.This tool does not include assembling & packaging ejb component into an .ear file. so has to b performed seperately by using the Assembly toolkit.Can any one find out the steps how to assemble my stateless session bean ejb component in this tool??

Ethernet/IP with Festo motor driver - assembly not working!

I'm trying to set up connection between PC and Festo motor controller (with Ethernet/IP module).
PC: Win x86 LV2012SP1f4 + NI Ethernet/IP 1.3 driver
Festo Motor Driver: SMMP-AS-C5-3A-M3 with CAMC-F-EP ethernet/ip module included
I'm able to read all classes/instance/attributes that fest offers but i have problem with assembly.
Via assembly instance 101 i suppose to read the 16B data frame from controller and via assembly instance 100 i suppose to write the 16B data frame to controller. That works without error. The size is return correctly as 16B if i read attribute 4.
But the data inside does not change at all, the read data does not correspond to the actual state of the controller and written data has no impact on the controller as well.
Anyone know what the reason may be?
Attached my simple Vi to communicate with the controller:
Niether NI tech support niether Festo support is not able to help me. NI thinks this is controller issue, Festo thinks this is labview driver issue since the communication is working with PLCs like AllenBradley. I stucked in between.

Thank you for attaching the vi in LV11....I need to upgrade;-)
If I were you I'd double check your constants again. When I displayed the radix (see screenshots) they were in decimal state. That means you were addressing Object x64 (d100) rather than Object x100 (d256). The same for Object x101. In the screenshot below you can see how to right-click, select display format and then you have a lot of dispay obtions (including hex or decimal).
FHPP is 'FESTO Handling and Positioning Profile' so it really does depend on how closely it matches the industry standard. To be honest I have no idea how close it is or not - I just know its different than CANOpen. With luck it in Ethernet/IP it might be similar at the driver level!
Anyhow assuming the radix issue doesn't give you a quick fix the FHPP is probably the main issue. I'd ask FESTO to point you at the software their tech support uses - usually they use freeware/shareware PC based software so you should be able to replicate what they do on your own system. Then with a port-sniffer you might be able to reverse engineer the FHPP to match what NI drivers produce.

Endeca Assembler application

Hi, I have installed the oracle commerce tools and framework with inbuilt assembler service and reference application ie discover electronics. What i am trying to do now is I have created an application with new data and confugured the pages with cartridges and i want the existing assembler to point to this application now. I am trying to do promote content.bat but its throwing error : SEVERE: Unable to update assembler with URL:http://BLRASH16695434:8006/webApp2/admin. Error code (404): Not Found INFO: Updated Assembler at URL: http://BLRASH16695434:8006/webApp2/admin Please help me as to where to configure the existing assembler code to point to new application . These errors from promote_content.bat are not related to Assembler application. The purpose of this script is to promote content and then call webapplication to inform that new content is ready to be used. I believe this second part is where the script is failing. Please update WorkbenchConfig.xml and comment out this line:
AssemblerUpdate.updateAssemblers();
This should resolve the SEVERE error you mentioned.
But about the other problem regarding Assembler not able to connect to your application, please check whether you have setup Assembler webapp as per installation documentation and whether you are pointing to correct MDEX port and specify whether you copied all required libraries into WEB-INF/lib.

[Endeca 3.1.1 + ATG 10.1.2] @FileNotFound error while requesting a page

When I am requesting for a Endeca page (say "dil"), I am getting the following error:

So the various Endeca modules were moved between 10.0.3 (where they were shipped with CRS with module names that began with "Endeca", like "Endeca.Index", "Endeca) and 10.1.1 and later (where they were moved to their more permanent homes, like DAF.Endeca.Index, DCS.Endeca.Index, etc).
For a complete list of the locations of Endeca modules in 10.1.2, see the "ATG Modules" section of http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E36434_01/Platform.10-1-2/ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide/ATGEndecaIntegrationGuide.pdf .
CRS in 10.1.2 and later depends upon the Endeca and the ATG Endeca integration modules, and CIM should pull in the needed ATG modules automatically for CRS.
