Problem when executing the same subVI in parallel.
Hey!
I have created a subVI that I am using in two applications that executes in parallel. For some reason the applications is using the same instance of the subVI, which creates conflicts when the applications are trying to use the same subVI at the same time. Is it possible to solve this problem?

Open the SubVI and go to File>>VI Properties. Select Execution and check "Make VI reentrant". This should solve your problem. You should read more about reentant VIs and how they work in the site. They have different kind of uses.

We have a Zreport...to improve the performance i created Index on few Data Base table..before my changes it used to take more than 15 minutes after the changes it taking less than 1 min for the same variant and for other variants also.

created a right index.
Observation here...I executed the report in production system more than 5 times it took the
same time, my changes are still in quality..so i think may be for selecting the right index
its taking this much time.and for the next time is taking right index n doing it so it taking
less.
Do you accept it?.if so Please let me know how to explicitly say the select statement to
use my index.

SOLAR01: Problem when entering the same T-Code twice
Hi all,
I am encountering a problem with Solution Manager 4.0, transaction SOLAR01.
When entering the same transaction code twice (in the Transactions tab) for a particular Business Process, I get the following error message:
"The specified key already exists"
Therefore, unless I flag the object for deletion (by selecting the row and choosing the "Delete Row" option), I am not able to proceed further.
Has anybody else encountered this problem and is there a proper workaround?

Thank you for your post.
The reason for entering the same transaction twice is to test the sequence of the business process.
So, for a specific system integration scenario, I may need to create a customer in one transaction and return to that same transaction later to modify the customer (this is just an example). As one transaction may be used for different tasks at different points in time, I would like to reflect that sequence in the Solution Manager.
Kindly advise if you believe this is not the correct approach or if Solution Manager does not support this kind of "sequencing".

Incorrec entries when execute the query
hi,
I am facing one problem when execute the query on inventory cube(non cumulative cube).Query is diplaying entries for valuated stock Qty.on particular date, but those entries are not exist in BIW(Infocube ,ODS) or R/3 System.
I checked cache parameters. all settings are correct.

Try to drill down the report based on request ID and find out one record which has this inconsistancy...! then see the data in the CUBE based on that Req ID and PSA..! may be this way will help u out..!
Check FS10N/MB5B/MB5L Tcodes in R/3 for reconcilation!

Menu bar problem when executing reports
We have a problem when executing the reports either from se38 or through transaction.
The standard menu bar is not appearing and in its place we are getting ????????????? ?????????????????
also the icons that are appearing in app tool bar are not showing anything.

When I execute the same select using execute immediate like:

When I change the second coalesce part (the one within the exists) in the flowing way:

How do I use the same SubVIs in the different VIs? Those VIs have to run at the same time.

If I have two VIs.And both of them has the same SubVIs.
For example
VI1 contains:
SubVI1: Initialize Instrument
Data acquisition
SubVI2: Close Instrument
VI2 contains:
SubVI1
Monitoring the Board and VI1
SubVI2
When I run those two VIs at the same time, why can't I use SubVI2(which is in the VI1) to close the Instrument?
The function has been run correctly, but it didn't work. The VI1 did closed, but the instrument didn't closed, neither did data acquisition.
In order to close instrument, I have to run SubVI2(which is in the VI2).
What I want to do is that when I run SubVI2(which is in the VI1), then, the instrument closed and data acquisition stopped.
Is there any problem between the thread? Or anything wrong with SubVI's VI property?

That makes me think about the number of doing init & close. My project calls on that there must be a strict requirements about the number of calling those function in one process.
That is to say,when running them, if VI1 and VI2 are in different process but not in the same one, the program is going to run successfully. But now, VI1 and VI2 are threads which in the same process, so my project's strict requirements makes them run failue.I used SPY++ to analysis, and found those two threads are actually in one process.

Expdp problem when executing from pl/sql transportable tablespaces

i have a very strange problem for which your assistance is really appreciated. i am applying the transportable tablespaces approach and i have a problem when executing expdp from commandline in comparison to the procedure generated to make the exact same thing.
more precisely when running:
expdp etl/etl dumpfile=TBSP090609_DMP.dmp logfile=TBSP090609_DMP.log directory=EXPDP transport_tablespaces=TBSP090609 transport_full_check=y
the dmp file produced is over 200MB.
when runng the below pl/sql code the volume produced is around 50MB. any idea what i am missing?

We are facing a problem while executing the transaction code FMBV
(Reconstruct Availability Control in Funds Management) in it when we
execute this transaction system only updates the expenditure which is
made before technical upgrade from 4.6c to ECC6 EHP6, against the
Assigned Budget (KBFC budget type) in the Annual Budget Table (BPJA)
and
the expenditure which we made after the upgrade, the program just
ignore
it. We can also see the expenditure in the standard FBL3N report.

In your description, you refer to missing update after an upgrade. First of all, see if table FMIT is consistent, as it is the basis for calculating the assigned values during AVC reconstruction.
Refer to this note:
977016 FMIT: Missing totals records in Funds Management And perform following steps:
1.- Run program RGZZGLUX
2.- Run program RFFMRC04 to match totals table with line items. A test run after a successful effective run should not find inconsistencies.
3.- If RFFMRC04 does not show more inconsistencies, run FMBV as final step.
Note that this reconstruction must be done without any other budgeting/posting activities at the same time, otherwise you may cause other inconsistencies.

After the upgrade to ERP 2004 or higher you realize that the FMIT totals table is no longer updated in Funds Management. You start the RFFMRC04 report to reconstruct the totals, but the report still displays the missing totals after an update run.

Reason and Prerequisites
This problem occurs due to a generation error.
Solution
Start the RGZZGLUX report to generate missing source code in FI-SL. Then start the RFFMRC04 report to reconstruct the totals, now another run of the report should no longer display any errors. -

hi.. i'm trying to send email from a ASA Sybase database.. i register the class or the jar and call to the java method wrapper.. easy.. the problem is when adding the subject or the text of the email.. the proccess stuck there and don't send the mail.. but i try send outside the database from the main method and the mail is sended..
which could be the problem?

migueli'm sure.. no exceptions.. i set to true the debug option in the session object and i log everywhere.. after all the statements.. and all are wrapped between a huge try/catch.. when i set the subject or the text the execution only stop and wait there like a infinite loop.. i say stop because the execution of the method don't log anymore.. the last tree statements of my send method is: add the subject, add the text and send the email via the Transport class.. the static method send.. when i comment the lines that add the subject and the text, the execution stuck when try to send the email without a subject and text.. is strange.. because i try outside the database and the email is sended.. i don't think that is a security problem.. is the same user that run the class and the same jvm..
any ideas?

Is possible to execute the same executable vi more than 1 time (like notepad, for example)?
I have a Labview executable file that use serial ports to communicate with other devices. I need to execute the same "file.exe" more than 1 time, to control different devices simultaneously. When I double click on an executable been executed (from windows explorer), the file under execution comes to front. Is possible to execute the same file more than 1 time (like notepad, for example)?
Not the answer you are looking for I know..but still: Copying the application to another location is one possibility...if it has a different path it will execute separately.
(OR - build control of multiple devices into one and the same application... If you do not want to redesign the code to handle multiple instruments in the same VIs, you could clone the VIs within the same application...)

For what it is worth I have noticed a similar issue from the iPad3 while at work and home. At work we have two Apple TV 3rd Generation installed and tied to our A/V system. I believe the issue has to do with a timeout on the broadcast saying "here I am" and allowing devices to connect.
For example:
At work we have several Wi-Fi SSID being broadcast from Cisco APs. The only one we can use with the Apple TV is the one that uses a WEP since the others are either setup to be hidden, require web page authentication, or have a login requirement from employees. Essentially, what I believe the issue is that the Apple TV periodically broadcasts a message to other iOS devices that support Mirroring. When the Apple TV does not get a response from a device it goes into a dormant mode and requires either a command from the remote control or a reboot. This has been tested with both the power management enabled and not enabled with the same results.
As for when I come home, the Apple TV3 has not seen the device in some time and therefore is not broadcasting it's location information. A simple click of the circle or menu keys on the remote will give it the command to start broadcasting again and allow the iPad3 to see the Apple TV. When trying to Home Share the computer can not play (iTunes 11, Win8RTM) until the Apple TV is awoken then it will show up for mirroing.
This may or may not assist you but, it hopefully explains how the issue may be happening. -
Error with Project Parameters when executing the package with dtexec command

We have started migrating our SSIS package from 2005 version to SSIS 2012. In SSIS 2005 we were using XML configuration files and executing the packages with dtexec command from the packages folder (without deploying packages to filesystem).
Now in SSIS 2012, we have seen Project Parameters and created couple of package parameters and used those parameters in the package. when executing this package from solution explorer it was working fine but when i try to execute the same package from command
line with Dtexec command, it was showing an error message of 'Not able to map Project Prameters to configurations'.
Could you please give me an idea of how to execute the packages from command line by using dtexex command. basically i would like use project parameters in 2012 similar to configurations?
