Problem while mapping Added field in DSO

Hi SDNers,
I want to add another filed (0CREATEDBY) in FIGL DSO. I have added that field by deleting the data in the DSO. that field has been added into Data Fields and activated it. Till now it is OK. But when i see that field in the Update Rules it is not in Green Colour but it is in disabled mode. How to map it in Update Rules and Transfer Rules.
Cud u plz give a step by step analysis for it.

As I am using 0FI_GL_4 Data Source it doesnt' consists that Field 0CreatedBy so what I have to do that Field is there in "0EC_PCA_3" this Data source how can i add this field in to my 0FI_GL_04 Data Source.

How to map new field in DSO

I have added a new field to the dso and i have replicated the datasource as well which is showing the new field newly added in ecc. how can i map the new keyfigure in the transformation between the datasource and ods. its showin in the ds, can u pls tell me how to map now.

Ya but the problem is I have an infosource in between and its not showing in the transformation between the dso and infosource.....nor the infosource and the datasource. But its there in the first transformation on the dso side, not on the inforsource side..... but how to get that field in the infosource side...so that i can map the field between both the transformations....between infosoucre and dso and infosouce and ds.....You know what I mean. the zfield is showin in the dso field structure in the first level mapping between dso and infosouce....but where do i map it.

Data Loading to added fields in DSO.

I have a DSO1 with 5 fields and DSO2 with 8fields.
I want to load data to DSO2 from DSO1 for the added fields in DSO2 also for the records in DSO1.

BI7.0 Hexdecimal values problem while activating the data in DSO

                 I've got the data upto PSA and i've run DTP also from PSA to DSO, but while activating the data in DSO from New Data Table to Active Data Table, it's giving the error given below:

0DOC_HD_TXT
Value '1st disb' (hex. '00310073007400200064006900730062') of          characteristic 0DOC_HD_TXT contains invalid characters
Process 000037 returned with errors.
            it isn't accepting the values like with numberels and chars together
ex: 1st disb, 70 cr Gen Hsg.
               I want the same to be in the report, how these are to be allowed?, i don't want to edit in PSA and there are a lot of values like that i can't edit all those, since there are thousands of records.

                   Thanx for your quick replay, i've allowed ',' in RSKC and i've checked the check box LOWER CASE LETTERS for IO 0DOC_HD_TXT, the problem was almost solved out. What does ',' mean by?
                      Why lower case letter has to be checked only for this IO (0DOC_HD_TXT), not for others? if it is checked, it allows only lower cases, doesn't allow upper cases i think. won't there be any problem? if it is done like that?

Problem while saving date field in custom table

Iam facing the following problem while saving a date field in custome table
i have a date field zdate in which the value is 02082010.
now when i try to insert this value in the custom table it is getting updated as 20/10/0208 , but it should be 08/02/2010
How can i correct it..

just before saving u might have to use a string reverse FM and then save it..

Adding fields into DSO in the Key Fields

Hello Experts,
I am using a Cube which loads data from DSO. Now, for some requirement I have to add one field into DSO in the key fields Part. But DSO already has 16 fields which I cannot remove.
So how can I add one more field into DSO in this case?
The cube I am using is 0FIGL_C10 and the DSO is 0FIGL_O10.

You can create an Infoobject - acts as a custom key to concatenate multiple fields into one and make it a keyfield.
15 fields + custom key ( concatenate 2 fields ) = 16 Keyfields
Procedure - > Example
16th Key - > RVERS-Version-CHAR-3-0VERSION
17th Key - > RMVCT-TransactnType- CHAR-3-0MOVE_TYPE
1. Create one infoobject - ZKEY - Length = 6 ( add lenghts of the two objects)
2. Make ZKEY as a keyfield for the DSO.
3. Make 16th Key and 17th Key datafields.
Create a routine for ZKEY in the transformation or transfer rules to concatenate values coming from source into one.
TRFN Routine
Concatenate SOURCE_FIELDS-RVERS SOURCE_FIELDS-RMVCT into RESULT.
Or
Transfer Rules Routine
Concatenate COMM_STRUCTURE-RVERS COMM_STRUCTURE-RMVCT into RESULT.
This way nodata will be lost/overwritten due to less number of keyfields in the DSO.
We have as many as 21 Keyfields for GL Totals DSO.

CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN - Problems while clearing custom fields

Hi, I try to modify some bom items, it works fine so far, but I get into trouble when trying to update previosly filled fields with empty ones.
First, I check my structure and insert a 'delete field character' into initial fields:

So, this works out fine, but not for my custom fields in the stpo_api02's .INCLUDE structure. While the standard fields are deleted when I fill them with '!', the custom ones just contain '!' afterwards.
When I dont put '!' into my custom fields and make them initial prior invoking CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN, their contents stay untouched.
However, real updates, where field contents are changed to some value but initial work flawlessly, on both, the stock and my custom fields.
Any Idea on this?

Hi,
Can you try to read the BOM items before changes and use the same structure in change BAPI by modifying the structure with only the changes. I guess this will support the clearing of the custom fields.

Problem while assigning the fields of EBM to ABM in Provider

I am facing a problem with the fields of EBM not being able to Assign to ABM in ProviderBPEL
In RequestorABCSImpl, i am transforming a ABM to SupplierPartyEBM(CreateSupplierPartyListEBM is the type i am using)
Field called 'PayementTerm' is being mapped as below

No offense but to stay with your language: You have to tell "your application" that there is a new field.
Since we have no idea how you access the system, where you added that field and what you expect to happen nobody can help you.

Problem while populating a field on process form- Values truncated

Hi,
I am facing a strange problem.
I have a requirement to populate Country field on AD process form based on the value of country code on the same process form which should eventually go to 'co' attribute in AD. So for eg. if the Country Code has value- 'US' then the Country field should be populated with 'United States'. This value is picked from lookup- Lookup.Locations.Country.
My adapter code works perfectly fine (checked using sysouts) it gets the proper values from the lookup but the country filed gets populated only with partial value. So instead of United States it only shows 'UNIT'. Same is for any country having more than 4 charatcters. It truncates the rest of the string and populates the field with only first 4 characters. I tried manually populating the Country field with complete country name on the process form and it works fine and the same value goes to AD also but when I run the adapter it only populates it with 4 charactetrs.
This is strange and I have no clue what could be stopping it. Any idea/experiences?

Strange problem while checking Mandatory fields

Hi ,
I am checking mandatory fields with the method following method.
CL_WD_DYNAMIC_TOOL=>CHECK_MANDATORY_ATTR_ON_VIEW( VIEW_CONTROLLER = my_controller ).
It was working fine for mandatory fields and also showing one extra input field which is not mandatory with red border .
Please tell me how to avoid this and What could be the problem.

            the extra vield thats showing in re d will be a field that doesnt support blank entry. try commenting the method thats calling CL_WD_DYNAMIC_TOOL.
            CL_WD_DYNAMIC_TOOL=>CHECK_MANDATORY_ATTR_ON_VIEW will check only mandatory fields.. thats for sure.
   the error message thats showing on the optional fild is coming from some standard check

Problem in mapping after migration from 3.x to 7.x infosource

HI Experts,
I have a problem while mapping the data source 2lis_03_bf to info cube 0ic_cs01.
we have a flow like this now after migration done.
Datasource->transfer rules->infosource->transformation->info cube
Now we dont require infosource and its respetive transformation, we are going to map directly from data source to info cube.but we have routines available in info cube related transformation.i.e. coming from infosource to info cube .
I would like to create a new transformation directly from Datasource to info cube but all the source fields are not available in target cube. How to map them.do i have to map all the target fields or i have to map according to the transfer rules target fields. what is the funda to make a transformation and mapping the source and target fields.
Could anyone please through some light here..

THanks for ur quick reply.As you said click on transfer rules and create transformation.As i can see in my system i have a transformation from data source to infosource .i.e. starting with RSDS_ and then another transformation from info source to info cube.i.e. starting with TRCS_ . what i did was created a transformation by right click on info cube and by giving data source name as 2LIS_03_BF .this is a manual transformation i am mapping manually.Is this a correct way? Please tell me how to do it.
as i have to do this immediately.

Problem in mapping from import manager to Data manager

hi friend's....I got a problem while mapping the data from import manager to Data manager .The problem is the data in import manager (i.e source hierarchy) will map to single filed in data manager ( i.e target hierarchy)..
Help me it will be great full to me

Hi Ana,
If you have a hierarchy in this format:
N1            N2                 N3
A              A1                 A11
A              A2                 A21
A              A3                 A31
B              B1                 B11
Then u have to follow these steps for import.
1. Select source file and destination hierarchy table at top of import manager.
2. Go to Partitions tab (Second tab) Just above the tabs, if u click on the plus sign against your source file, you will see N1, N2 and N3. Cick on N1 and in partition tab, add N2 to right side by double clicking on N2.
3. Now add N3 to right side by double clicking on it.
4. Go to field mapping (Third tab). There you will see a field N1(Partition). Map this field to yourhierarchy field on destination side.
5. In value mapping (Below the field mapping), Expand your source hierarchy. Select all (ctrl + A). Click on "Add" button. Select "Add Branch as child" option.
6. Go to Matching tab (Fourth tab). only one field will be there. take ity on the right side. and select the import action as "Create".
7. Go to last tab. Click on import button.
Your hierarchy has been imported. You can check it in data manager (in hierarchy mode).
