Problem with & conversion into &

I am running following URL
http://<my environmnet>/product/inventoryCheck.jsp?sv=111111&source=MS_eqt&response=vars.
it should display "available=n" but it return 'n'
But when i manually convert all '&' in URL into '&',
it showing the correct result i.e. "available=n".
So does it mean that my browser is not able to convert '&' into '&' in URL only
as it converting '&" into "&" in an HTML form

RAW Highlights Problem with conversion from Canon 5D

Hello All,
I recently upgraded my camera from a Canon 20D to a Canon 5D. I shoot only RAW and I recently shot a couple of images of a beautiful sunset out West. I was bracketing the exposures all over the place since the light-drk contrasts were really large and the light was changing so fast. The images looked great on the Camera's LCD but, when I ran them through Aperture I got some really nasty artifacts on the conversions around the highlights. Here are examples:

the problem I see is with the nasty transition from yellow to white in the blown highlight. I also don't like the broad areas of flat yellow - the tonality is completely missing. These are the default RAW settings exported to JPGs and the poor image quality of the highlights looks identical on screen between the RAW images in Aperture and these JPGs, so it's not a JPG artifact.
I don't recall having this problem with the 20D - is the 5D conversion more difficult for Aperture? Might I be doing something wrong? Is there a way to fix this? I ran the RAW file through lightroom and it didn't have the same problem. Please help!

I have the same problems when I shot the sun rise and sun set.. It is very nasty transition from yellow to white or white to yellow from the sun. I don't think Aperture can fix that. It was over the exposure with the sun. And yes, it looks great on 2 inches LCD. I think you need to use filter when you shoot the sunset or sunrise to get the perfect lighting. Let me know, if you know the tweak with Aperture.. I will check out lightroom... I have alot of sunet and sunrise photos to correct.. and i checked out this place http://www.all-creatures.org/pics/sunset.html they have the same problems with yellow to white...

Problem with getting into iPhoto library after downloading an update for iPhoto. It is saying it is locked on a locked disk. how do we fix this?

Have an OS X 10.9.4 and having problems with iPhoto library after installing iPhoto version 9.5.1 This has locked the iPhoto Library on a locked disk. Any idea on how we unlock this disk?

First, if you've moved the iPhoto library to an external drive, make sure that drive is mounted by opening it in the Finder.
The issue can be caused by sharing the photo library on a network (against Apple's advice) or by opening it in more than one local user account at the same time. You may be able to clear the error by logging out or restarting the computer. If not, do as follows.
Quit iPhoto if it's running, locally or on any file-sharing client. Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Usually it's in the Pictures folder, but you may have moved it somewhere else. Right-click or control-click the library icon and select
Show Package Contents
from the popup menu. In the folder that opens, navigate to
Database/apdb/lockfile.pid
and move that file, if it exists, to the Trash. Close the Finder window.

So here is how I got it fixed for my Mac OS X 10.9.5 and skype 6.19. I think Windows folks can follow a similar approach.
option 1 - Contact a live support agent via this link -
https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10656/what-is-live-chat-support and have him/her remote login to your machine and fix it.
option 2 - Do-it-yourself
1) Try installing skype ver 6.15 (you need to find the executable over the internet or from skype-support) .. the usual steps to uninstall your current version and re-install the new version.
After installing ver 6.15, make sure in Skype -> Preferences, you don't check the "Always keep skype up to date" option.. or else it will go and install the latest version 6.19.
2) If it still doesn't work,
(i) Go to Finder window -> select 'Go' tab on top -> select 'Go to Folder' -> type '~/Library/Application Support/Skype/'
there you will find a file called "shared.xml". DELETE IT.
(ii) Go to Finder window -> select 'Go' tab on top -> select 'Go to Folder' -> type '/private/var/db'. There may be a file called "config.xml" or something similar. DELETE IT.
3) Even then it doesnt work, go back to Option 1 (contacting skype-support)

Problem with Merge into stmt

Dears,
I m using 10g XE.
I am using merge into stmt, to inesrt non matched records and to update matched records with respect to primary key.
I have two uers in oracle. (TMP and REAL)
I have n number of tables with same definition in both users.
I will always merge all the tables into "REAL" from TMP uesr
Each and very table may contain more than 200000 records.
while merging some of the records got deleted from the REAL user which already available in REAL user.
i.e records available in TEMP.A is not available in REAL.A
if i re rerun the merge qry once again, the missing records inserted into REAL.A
how it happens? is ther is any bug with merge into stmt while processing huge amount of rows.

if i re rerun the merge qry once again, the missing records inserted into REAL.AThat's exactly what you would expect. Your SQL will insert into REAL.med_stock_sales any records that are in the TEMP table but not in the REAL table - assuming the primary key is (RETAIL_OUTLET_ID, MSS_ID). So if you delete records from REAL, they will keep being repopulated from TEMP - and matching records in REAL will be updated from TEMP
If you want to be able to delete records from REAL without this happening, you have a couple of options:
1) when you delete from REAL, also delete from TEMP (eg using a trigger). This is simplest.
2) when you delete from REAL, don't actually delete, just update a DELETED_YN flag
3) when you delete from REAL, add the primary key to a DELETED_STOCK table. Then change your merge to exclude "deleted" records

[ePub / Indesign 5.5] Problem with conversion to epub

Hi everybody!
I need some help with my job. I was converting Indesign files (ID cs5.5) to epub. So I found a problem with this message:
I verified that the problem is in one of items that it not showed, but the style is equal another all items that is showed, I mean, all the other items with the same style is showed, see:
I work in Mac with OSX 10.6.8.
It's a mystery to me, cause the ohters books don't make this problem.
I'll appreciate any help.

Well, I probably answer myself.
First, I reset the [Basic Paragraph],
- Set the style that I applied in the text, like "Title chapter" with Based on: basic paragraph with the changes.
- And then, set the TOC style with Based on: basic paragraph too with the changes.
For one book this resolved, for another one it needs create another style Based on: [Basic paragraph], changes that I need, apply and change the table of contents style with whis one and, woks fine.
The reason, I'll still waiting for the reason.

I am calling this RFC into iview.
outputs of the iview are a char info field called 'REPTNAME' and a table which displays the list.
i have created a button called 'PDF' on a table .
for this button i have written a code like

A problem with inserting into DB hebrew strings

Hi,
I am working with a 8.1.7 DB version, and use thin driver.
I have my DB Charest configured to iso 8859P8 (which is visual Hebrew)
I have no problem in making a connection and retrieving strings, using SELECT * FROM ..
and then use the ResultSet.getString(String columnName) method .
I also have no problem in inserting the Hebrew characters , and retrieving them back ( I represent them in a servlet ),
The only problem I do have, is when I try to insert into DB a row in the following manner
INSERT into table_name values( Hebrew_String_value1, Hebrew_String_value2, Hebrew_String_value3, Hebrew_String_value4)
the insertion works fine , but somehow the insertion misplaces the strings order and actually the insertion is in opposite order :
Hebrew_String_value4, Hebrew_String_value3, Hebrew_String_value2, Hebrew_String_value1.
If I use the same insert with English Strings , there is no problem.
does any one have the solution how I insert the strings in the right order ?
one solution I have is to insert only one column and then update the table for each column , but then , instead of one execute() action , I have to make ,
1 execute() + 9 executeUpdate() for a 10 column table

Can you try specify the column order in your INSERT statement, i.e.

3 problems with conversion to PDF

Hi,
I am using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional and MS Word 2003.
When converting Word documents to PDF, I have these problems:
1) Bright colours in my Word files (red, pink, yellow) turn much darker and duller in PDF. They look kind of dirty red/pink/yellow. Very unattractive.
2) Large fonts such as 18 (I use Arial) lose red colour in some letters and turn out white (with a red outline), while some letters remain red.
3) Spaces between lines with hyperlinks get shifted in PDF - some remain in place, some just disappear, leaving no space between the lines. Can this be fixed in settings somehow?
I would be so grateful if someone could teach me how to fix these 3 annoying glitches!

There are no Distiller settings that I can see in my Word document. There is the Adobe PDF tab which leads to Acrobat PDFMaker and inside it I tried changing conversion settings to Standard, to Press and to High Quality - and in every case I'm still getting the same dark colours in headlines instead of bright, and shifting, shrinking spaces between lines. As soon as I click on the "Convert to Adobe PDF" button, the spaces between hyperlinks start disappearing and the whole page formatting goes crazy. Very frustrating to see the loss of quality.

Problem with conversion AVCHD

I have the Sony SR-7 and I convert the AVCHD clips with Log & Transfer (Final Cut Express 4.0.1) but the converted clips are in fast motion (3X or 4X about): A clip about 10 sec is converted in a 3 second clip approximately. And the same thing with the rest of Clips. Also the clips are bad converted (with pixels, interferences...) Anybody have the same problem?
It happens the same when I convert the clips with IMovie instead of FCE.
Maybe I dont have any codec or plugin in the computer? But I have instaled the Apple Intermediate Codec and the Perian Codec is not installed (as it is said in some forums).

Problem with conversion failed

I have two inputDate control, one for start_date, the other for end_date.
Each inputDate has a convertDateTime and a validator that check whether start_date is smaller than end_date.
First, I input the valid date data, all thing is OK.
Then, I input a invalid string such as "a" in end_date and start_date, the error messages displayed.
Then, I input a valid date data in end_date. After the conversion complete, the validation is executing.
When I want to get the start_date value, the value is not the "a" but the valid value before.
How can I get the failed data or failed status ? Or skip the validation when one input conversion failed?

I think the problem is a spelling error: you named your structure "structs" and then you refer to it as "struct".
You have to choose one between the two (or a better one if you can find it).

But! If I do:
select Mirror.CREDIT_HEADER_ID
from CREDIT_HEADER_P Mirror
or
select Mirror.ARCH_FLAG
from CREDIT_HEADER_P Mirror
I don't get any error. I copied (not entered new!) The column and table name from the statement above! If I submit Mirror.ARCH_FLAG and Mirror.CREDIT_HEADER_ID with 1, it works also. Any ideas?

You cannot specify DEFAULT when updating a view.
You cannot update a column that is referenced in the ON condition clause. Problem is you use ARCH_FLAG and CREDIT_HEADER_ID in ON clause -
on (Mirror.ARCH_FLAG = qt.ARCH_FLAG and Mirror.CREDIT_HEADER_ID = qt.CREDIT_HEADER_ID)
and try to update them:
set Mirror.CREDIT_HEADER_ID=qt.CREDIT_HEADER_ID,
Mirror.ARCH_FLAG=qt.ARCH_FLAG,
It violates the deterministic.
