Problem with conversion of Vc output into PDF format
hi all,
In r/3 i created a RFC to get a company detail list.
I am calling this RFC into iview.
outputs of the iview are a char info field called 'REPTNAME' and a table which displays the list.
i have created a button called 'PDF' on a table .
for this button i have written a code like
"pcd!portal_content!com.sap.gm.cnt!platform-add_ons!com.sap.ip.bi!iview u1!?QUERY="&STORE@REPTNAME&"&BI_COMMAND_1-EXPORT_FORMAT=PDF&BI_COMMAND_1-SHOW_EXPORT_DIALOG=X&BI_COMMAND_1-null="
but when i am clicking this button , its takin me to another window of cluster administration.
i am not getting why this is happening.
and i also don have idea about BI statements. i copied this code( For button) from existing Documents on VC provided on the site

if you observe these two ,there is a difference of
' com.sap.ip.bi.bexwebanalyzer ' this statement.
so can you pls tell me wat this will be??

I have modified the standard purchase order script form MEDRUCK . Now i need to generate the output into pdf format.
This is not only limited to spool requests , But also when the user creates the purchase order and clicks on print or print preview the output should be in pdf format.

I don't know which is your release, but I don't think it's possible to create a preview in pdf format, but u can create a pdf file instead of the spool and then open it automatically, this is an example:

Problem with Non-English Fields Output to PDF by JASPER in JDev10.1.3
I am using jsprx files(designed in i-report) to generate pdf reports out of an oracle database.
The non-English fields are shown correctly when I output the report into an HTML or when I view it with JasperView.
If I try making PDF files (JasperExportManager.exportReportToPdfFile) the static fields containing e.g.Arabic/Chineese characters won't be displayed and dynamic fields from the database with non-English contents will be shown as ??? or null.
I received some suggestions about using PARAMETERS to feed the report instead of FIELDS, which I think can not be helpful in this case and in general.
I think this should be a common problem. These are the components I am using:
itext-1.4.7. jar
commons-digester- 1.7.zip
jasperreports- 1.2.8.jar
Any comment or help is appreciated.

I think I'm facing the same issue as you. I looked at the note 323736 but my system seems to be up to date (at least for this issue). I have SAP_BASIS release 700.

Following is the procedure to convert alv output to spool and then it to PDF Format.
After we display the ALV, we can check whether it is running in the background using system field u2018sy-batchu2018. Then,we call an function module named u2018GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFOu2019 to get the current job information. Then go to spool request table tbtcp to get the spool id.

Converting smartforms output into PDF
Hi ALL,
How to convert the smartforms output into PDF based form. After executing the form, it should directly open in PDF. How to do this?

Please go throuh the below procedure and sample Code, this might help you.
Procedure
When we activate the Smartform the system generates a Function Module. The function module name we can get from Smartfrom screen from menubar
Environment => Function Module_Name . In a report we can get this Function module name by calling a Function Module standard SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME. This function module at runtime calls the FM generated by smartform, which in turn is then used to pass data from the report to Smartform. In the report given below the FM generated is /1BCDWB/SF00000152 . In this FM we can see CONTROL_PARAMETERS in import tab. This is of type SSFCTRLOP. We need to set the GETOTF of this to be X. Setting this field will activate the OTF field in smartform.
In export tab of the FM generated by smartform we can see a parameter JOB_OUTPUT_INFO which is of type SSFCRESCL. The SSFCRESCL is a structure of having one of fields as OTFDATA. OTFDATA in turn is a table of type ITCOO. ITCOO has two fields TDPRINTCOM and TDPRINTPAR. TDPRINTCOM represents command line of OTF format data and TDPRINTPAR contains command parameters of OTF format data.
In every Smartform output in OTF format, TDPRINTCOM begins and ends with //. EP represents the end-of-page value for TDPRINTCOM field.
In addition we need to set few fields at the place where we call this FM(generated by smartform) in our program. While calling this FM we should set control_parameters, output_options, user_settings and job_putput_info fields as shown in program.
Once these settings are done we can call Function Module CONVERT_OTF to convert the OTF data of smartfrom output to PDF data format. Once these are done we can call method cl_gui_fronted_services=>file_save_dialog to specify the directory path where we want to save the output PDF file. After this we can call Function Module GUI_DOWNLOAD to download the PDF file on our local system.

Facing problem while downloading ALV grid Output into Excel
Hi Guys,
I am facing problem while downloading ALV grid Output into Excel.
It is downloading into excel, but all character columns first and next all quantity columns it is displaying. But I need columns order as it is in the grid.
If I take all columns as characters it works fine. But it will be problem for calculating total, subtotals of quantity columns
Can someone help me regarding this

Open up Excel on your desktop. Goto Tools > Macro > Security.
Make sure that your security is set to Medium (or less). SAP uses OLE automation to run the Excel instance and in Office 2003 (for example), Microsoft has increased their default security setting to High. With the High setting, the output to Excel fails.
Was this your problem? Don't forget those points, either.
check with this wetther it is solved or not.
