Problem with f:invoke - cannot find method with argument

Hi,
I have <f:invoke var="${bpmObj}" methodName="tempMethod" retAttName="... /> in my JSP.
Now, in ALBPM I have this method tempMethod and I gave it one out argument so it can return something to my JSP variable given in retAttName.
Problem is that it cannot find this method because it is something like tempMethod(out resultString) and my JSP invoke has no input/output attributes at all.
It is working only when I delete all in/out args from definition of my method, but I want it to return something! How to do it? please help.

Paul

  • Compiler cannot find method that is there (Oracle 9i JDeveloper)

    Hi
In one of my OA Framework classes Im doing some XML validation.
In 1 class I do this:
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.SAXParser;
    SAXParser parser = new SAXParser();
    parser.setValidationMode(SAXParser.SCHEMA_STRICT_VALIDATION);
    <or Alternatively>
    parser.setFeature("http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/schema-full-checking", true);
The compiler complains that it cannot find these methods in SAXParser class.
However, in the editing window, if I hit CTRL+Space for autocompletion JDeveloper can 'see' both these methods (setFeature() is actually defined in SAXParser and setValidationMode is inherited from parent class XMLParser).
It seems the editor can access the resources but the compiler cannot.
Ive tried both the XSQL Runtime and Oracle XML Parser 2 libraries in my project configuration and have even tried them in different positions in the 'Selected Libraries' window.
Im using XDK 9.0.3.0.0 with JDeveloper 9i.
    Any help appreciated
    Jon

Have you checked the ApJServLogFile? You might find some clues there.
I'm curious as to why you are getting 'display' errors. Is your display environment set up properly?

  • Problem with ROLAP Aggregations

    Hi there
I am having trouble with specifying aggregations in a ROLAP cube in OWB 10gR2.
I have a cube that contains a number of measures as well as a degenerate dimension and a Date/Time field.
Problem is that I cannot find out how to specify agreggation for only some measures in the cube.
Obviously I don't want to aggregate the degenerate dimension or the date/time field. But additionally, only some of the measures need to be aggregates and furthermore I want to be able to specify a different method of aggregation on different measures.
    Please help, am going nuts!
    Thanks in advance

    Hi, Beverley.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to trim clips using iMovie.  I would need a little more information on how you were attempting to trim a clip to provide a better answer.  However, make sure you have the movie project open and are selecting the clip that you wish to trim as this will activate the clip trimmer.

  • SOP: Problem with ratios in Info Structure

    Hi,
I am defining an Information Estructure (Ap: 41 - Logistic in General) and I have some fields in some tables I would like to include as ratios in my structure.
Well, I would like to include the field "MATKL" of the table "MARA" as a ratio in my structure. The problem is that I cannot find it in any field catalogue and if I try to create my own new field catalogue, there is not any chance for selecting the mentioned table (MARA).
We would be very grateful if someone could help with this problem.
Thanks in advance and best regards.
PS: I have the same problem with the fields "MATNR" and "WERKS" of the table "MSSA".

    Hi,
Create your own field catalog using the required field and table.

  • Problem with some video files after upgrading to iPhoto'11 ...

    Hi,
I just realized that after converting from iPhoto'09 to iPhoto'11, I found 176 small video files that don't play anymore.  All problem files, can be found in iPhoto with a «.MOV» search.  When played I get this error message (it's in French :
The problem is that I cannot find any file nested in my iPhoto Library corresponding to the iPhoto's info (name or size).  I get no corresponding file.  Also most of these «.MOV» files seem to have another file that plays and that is bigger.  It could be the original file or maybe my real file ...    As an example, one «.MOV» file is named MVI_6480Web and the original that works is named MVI_6480.  Not all problem files as the Web suffixe though.
I did not pass all those 176 files one by one, so I am not sure what is the exact problem.  I wonder if some of you can help me understand what is going on ?
    Regards.

you bought an upgrade to a separate application. i'm sure the iLife'11 manuals don't state a guarantee of compatibility with any appletv?
i'm not saying this is definitely the cause, but in the past there has usually been a requirement for an update when new iLife products were released.
Is it so unlikely to have an upgrade of ATV 1stG ?
the original appletv has been replaced and as such i doubt there will be any more software updates at all.

  • Problem with Globus online client

I am try to run globusconnect-1.6 which is a client for globusonline.org, and I am running into problems. It says:
"Cannot find Tcl/Tk >= 8.4. Please install Tcl/Tk or set up the PATH variable."
I have Tk installed (or so I think) and the version is tk 8.6.0.1-1. Is there a way to see what is exactly missing?
On a side note: Is there another client which works with Globus online?
Last edited by amiara (2013-01-16 03:00:52)

I found the source of the problem in case anyone is interested ... . Inspecting the bash file "globusconnect", it seems that it looks for wish8.5 (and then wish8.4 if it does not find it). I had wish8.6 installed.
A simple solution is just to change wish8.5 in the bash file to wish8.6 or whatever version you happen to have installed.
You also need to find the python files:
    ./gc/gc-ctrl-thin.py
    ./gc/setup.py
    ./gc/gc.py
    ./gc/gc-ctrl.py
and change the first line to read python2 instead of python.

In the future, JSF questions should be posted in the JSF forum: [http://forum.java.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=427]
    Regarding to your problem:
javax.servlet.ServletException: Cannot find FacesContextHave you even tried to Google on it? [http://www.google.com/search?q=%22javax.servlet.ServletException%3A+Cannot+find+FacesContext%22]
Anyway, to repeat the answer: the requested URL should match the URL-pattern of the FacesServlet as definied in the web.xml. So, if it is for example *.jsf, then you should replace the *.jsp in the URL to *.jsf to get it passed to the FacesServlet, which on its turn creates the FacesContext. This way the JSF components in the JSP page can find the FacesContext.

    hey drzeller,
i just copied and pasted the original code you attached to

just so you know, all the advice i've ever seen in this forum

  • When using Time Machine in Mac Mail, everything works fine but restored files do not appear in MM - On My Mac, and I cannot find them anywhere.  Thanks

Time Machine Problem: Mac Mail.  Cannot Find Restored Files in Mac Sidebar where they are supposed to go.
I am using Mountain Lion on my MacBook.  I have successfully used Time Machine in the past, but I have incurred the following problem that I am requesting help on.
I am attempting to recover Sent  and Inbox Mac Mail sent.  I go through all the steps properly and locating what I want to recover, and after hitting Restore everything seems to be working and I get a message "Restoring 207 files".  The guides say that then I am supposed to find the files in Mac Mail sidebar under   ON MY MAC.  But they are not there nor anywhere else I have looked.  In other words, everything appears to be working fine except I cannot find the restored files.
    Thank you for you help.
    Jerry

Although you can restore messages from a Time Machine snapshot within the Mail application, it generally won't work with messages that were saved by an older version of Mail. In that case, you have to use an alternative method.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/V2
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Inside that folder are subfolders representing your Mail accounts. The names refer to the email addresses you use. Decide which ones you want to restore messages from.
Enter Time Machine and scroll back to the snapshot you want. Select the account folders you want and then selectRestore ... to... from the action menu (gear icon) in the toolbar of the snapshot window. Restore the folders to the Desktop, not to their original location.
From the Mail menu bar, select
    File ▹ Import Mailboxes...
Import from the mailboxes in the folders you restored to the Desktop. The imported messages will appear in a new mailbox. Move the ones you want to keep wherever you like and delete the rest. Then delete the folders on the Desktop.

  • Cannot find/use quicktime

I've tried to install the newest version of quicktime to my computer but when I run the installation wizzard it says that a newer version of quicktime already exists. The problem is that I cannot find (or use) any version of quicktime on my computer. Also, when I go to the quicktime tab on the apple website I get a popup window that says plugin does not exist. I'm not very computer savvy, so I really need help.
I think the quicktime problem is also why I cannot run itunes (I get a message that says "itunes encountered a problem and must close" every time I try to open it). I've uninstalled and reinstalled these things so many times... I'm out of ideas.
      Windows XP

i reckon you've diagnosed the itunes problem correctly.
let's try this first with the QuickTime issue.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. then use it to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from your PC:
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
    1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
    2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
    3. Open Program Files.
    4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
    5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
    6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
    7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

  • Using K7T266 Pro2, Cannot find BIOS Protection function.

I am using K7T266 Pro2 (MS-6380 v2.0) with BIOS update 3.70. I was reading the manual and suddenly I found a interesting function “BIOS Protection”, quote from manual:
    Quote
This function protects the BIOS from accidental corruption by unauthorized users or computer viruses. When enabled, the BIOS’ data cannot be changed when attempting to update the BIOS with a Flash utility. To successfully update the BIOS, you’ll need to disable this Flash BIOS
This is a really useful function but the problem is that I cannot find it! According to the manual it should be in the Advanced Chipset Features section, below the “PCI Delay Transaction” function. But when I go to my BIOS setup there is nothing below the “PCI Delay Transaction” function. And so I ask my self “where is the BIOS Protection function?”, I checked threw all the other sections but I could not find it… please help me, where is this function? Doesn't it include in the new BIOS update 3.70? Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

The reason why I say this is that I recently restored my K7T266 PRO2-RU BIOS Rev. 3.7 using Symantec Ghost Corp. Edition (MultiCast Server).  The Ghost image was stored on a remote machine, all that was needed was a floppy disk which was simple enough to configure using the wizard.  I had no problems -  BUT that doesn't mean the thing (my motherboard) isn't flakey as hell though.
