Problem with forum registration

When you choose your "desired alias" if you enter a name that is already taken it doesn't tell you or give you an error message, it just takes you back once you press submit and the field is empty.
Problem found on OS X 10.4.11 using Firefox 3.0.1

Problems with my Registration Reactivation Required

Mac G5 OS X 10.4.8, Studio 8
With every few launches of Dreamweaver or any of the Studio 8
applications i get a window saying that there's a problem with my
registration and that I need to reactivate my license. I have to
enter my license again (and again) and go through the activation
process and then get taken to the registration page at Adobe only
to discover that I can't register because I am already registered.
That's not the problem. The problem is having to keep re-entering
my license number at, usually, the most inconveniet of times.I have
completely uninstalled Studio 8 per Adobe's instructions, did an
Archive and Install of Mac OS X and reinstalled Studios 8. All is
fine for a few weeks and then this starts all up again. Why is this
happening?

MTSTUNER's advice is right on in this case. I've seen problems with the older versions of Photoshop not being able to write to their installation areas because of UAC.
If Run As Administrator doesn't work, one additional thing you can try is to turn the UAC level down to the lowest setting, run Photoshop once, then return UAC to its default (or leave it off, your choice).

Problems with my registration of Photoshop CS2

I have owned different versions of Photoshop over the years, and the latest version I have is CS2.
I have it installed on two computers, one running Windows XP and the other running Windows Vista.
Apparently, Adobe has me under two IDs, both using the same email address, but with different physical addresses, my old one and my new one.   All my registration information is apparently stored under the one with the old address, but I can only get access to the one with the new address when I go to the Adobe website.   That one doesn't see my registrations.
For the past several years I've worked primarily under Linux, using gimp, but I just got a new printer, which is not supported under Linux, so I have to use Windows and Photoshop to print.
Every time I start Photoshop CS2 on the second computer, it tells me I need to register. If I do---needlessly I presume---it accepts the registration, but then the next time I start the program, it does the same thing over again.
I can live with this, but if there is some simple way to fix it, I would like to do so. I've spent a lot of time talking to Adobe on the phone or using chat online, but haven't got any help on this matter.
Also, I hope to make some changes to my system in the near future.    First, I will probably upgrade both computers to Windows 7. Second, I may replace one of the computers with a new computer. Finally I may upgrade to Photoshop CS5.
Can anyone give me any advice about how to go about these things so as to end up with two legitamate versions of Photoshop on two computers, and so as to avoid problems..    I am worried that I may have to spend hours on the phone trying to get it done.

Weird Safari problems with Forum

I've been having random problems with the forum and Safari. When I am not logged in I see this:
Every user, every post is the same except for the occasional (see the 7th row) odd one. I'm also not able to sign on. The login screen comes up but when I enter my un and pw the next page just reloads in a constant loop during the redirect. This is happening on 4 different computers 3 with OSX 10.8.2 and one with the lateest version of OSX 10.7. All have the latest version of Safari...

The forum database crashed a few days ago. There's all sorts of oddities. Not browser related (though of course you could always use a "decent" browser ).

Problems with Forums publication on ISA server

Hi all,
I installed portal 7.0sps 14 and published it on Microsoft ISA Server. Now I faced with the problem - JIVE forums dont't work at all. If I try to work with portal without ISA using internal link, forums work fine. What I see working with ISA - it cuts part of the index.jspa, and forums don't work. I think it can be due to Content-Length attribute which appears only when I'm working with ISA.

Problem with Individual Registration of HTMLDB app schema with SSO

I have successfully registered HTML DB instance as partner application to SSO and it works well.
Then, I also want to try with Individual registration of partner application schemas on the same HTML DB instance.
I have followed every steps in 'How-To' but keep getting this following error message:
Error Unable to run parse_url_cookie procedure as schema ICONNFNB with partner app name ICONNFNB_WORKSPACE
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'PARSE_URL_COOKIE' ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignored
Anyone knows how to deal with this error ?

Problem with forum user name

I appear to have been 'bitten' with the user reset problem. My original id is now "nealeh-Y42Jq8" while my original "nealeh" now appears as a brand new user. I recall others having this problem in the past. How do you get it put right?

I noticed that, as was going to point you to the Forum Comments forum, where Adobe-Admin (John) would be able to help you, BUT the forum was so very wonky today, that it was taking me six log-ins, just to read the PrE forum.
It looks like you have the "real" Neale back, and I'm glad.
For the fix, just post to the Forum Comments forum, with your log-in details (sans PW). John will fix things for you.

Problem with forum handle

As you can see if you click to view my profile my forum handel is "Ivan Ćurić". First and last letter of my surname is ć or in unicode "c with acute" (uppercase: U+0106, lowercase: U+0107). Due to some problems in your forum software my surname is displayed as "Ivan Ćuri&..." - last letter of my surname is replaced with "&" sign.
I supose it is a bug in character counting and conversion from unicode to HTML entities.
Please, will you consider repairing this?

It's a known problem that happens occasionally.
The loss is not permanent, your handle will return once the necessary server/service is back to normal.

Problem with AppleCare Registration

I've purchased an AppleCare Plan for my Unibody MBP, but I have some problems during registration. It says my serial number is not valid, and when I try to see the warranty status, it says that my product serial number is not valid.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do in order to solve this problem?

that happened to me with my brand new MBP. Went to register it and it didn't like my serial #. I just called in and spoke to apple. They did it on their end and all was well after that.

email address? i am using mysql 5.0 connected datasource with the

What's up with forums registration?

Recently I have been asked to sign in again when visiting these forums.
The thingummy asks me to enter my e-mail address and password (neither of which have changed at my end). If I follow that Forums is Migrating rigmarole I get repeated error messages that Adobe ID and password don't match. Can anyone tell me what's going on? And what ("perzackly") is an Adobe ID? When I go to "Forgot your ID?" I get a row of 7 letters and digits but entering that as either an ID or a password doesn't help.
I can usually sign in the old way, but that Forums is Migrating thing beats me. What's the trick?

Problems with the registration pop up menu

is there a reason why that when i go to open a document in either photoshop or indesign, the registration pop-up window comes up completely blank, won't go away and i can't go on to type or edit the document at all? i've just tried illustrator now and that is the same.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
