Problem with visual jsf in NetBeans

I am using NetBeans 6.0 and when I make a new Web application using the Visual JavaServer Faces framework the Design tab is blank and says "Loading, please wait..." but it never loads...but I can open the jsp and java tab of Page1 with no problem... when I run the project appears this message:
HTTP Status 503 -
type Status report
message
descriptionThe requested service () is not currently available.
Sun Java System Application Server 9.1
What seems to be the problem?I unistalled and I re-installed NetBeans and yet again the same problem occurs.Please anyone who can help because I really need to make my project.Thanks.

  • Problem with Non JSF Request to JSF Page

    Hi All,
    I am working on dynamic controls generation based on the request come from non jsf page
    For the first request, pageworks perfectly. but when we go for second request, it is not rendering and I am getting same old page.
    What I have identified is if I have 2 pages as JSF, application is not giving any problem.
    For this I have written small test application contains both JSF pages only.
    page1 contains 3 submit buttons.
    When submit buttons are clicked based on the request, I get, am able to see the dynamic controls.
    SO there is no problem with JSF PAGE to JSF Page Communication
    Now I have done some changes in First JSF page. Instead of submitting directly I am submitting the page through JavaScript which is nonb JSF request. There I am facing the problem and based on requested qaction I am not able to see correct rendered page based on the requested action.
    Any Idea why it is giving problem for non JSF requests??
    Thanks
    Sudhakar

    For Your Convenience in understanding the problem
    I am pasting entire test code
    Page 1 -- (here page2 is Page1 and Page1 is page2 - some naming convention errors :) )

    Hello
    I have trouble using Weblogic 10.3.3 with my JSF-application which is constructed using Richfaces 3.3.3 and Facelets. First I had problems with deployment but with adding weblogic.xml to project.
    This is the weblogic.xml content :
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
    <weblogic-web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app/1.0/weblogic-web-app.xsd"
    xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app">
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>jsf</library-name>
    <specification-version>1.2</specification-version>
    <implementation-version>1.2</implementation-version>
    <exact-match>false</exact-match>
    </library-ref>
    <container-descriptor>
    <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>
    </container-descriptor>
    </weblogic-web-app>
    This application works without problems in Glassfish 2.1 but when I try to access my application in Weblogic, I get following exception :
    Error 500--Internal Server Error
    javax.el.ELException: /Main.xhtml: The class 'katva.soa.logging.web.soaloggerweb.SessionController' does not have the property 'navigateToMonitor'.

  • Several Problems with Visual Editor 1.1

    I have installed the latest version of visual editor and also the emf and gef version required,the problem comes when i try to create a new Vsual class after i choose the property of the class such as name and so on and clicked finish My visual editor is empty.....the palette for visual component doesn't appear.
    The visual editor creates a little window and duplicates it evrey time i click in the visualEditor page......please help me...i don't know what i have to do.... i tried the impossible but visual editr still doesn't work!

    Mmm yes it's true, I have a virus checker on my computer...
    and I have tried it twice to download WLS6.1 and always the same problem....so
    I'll try again.
    As for the last point (quick deploy of ejbs without compiling the classes)- Has
    anybody managed to do it? It really could be helpful is somebody, who managed
    to deploy a bean like this (without compiling) could post it to me, so I can examine
    it...
    You can mail it to [email protected]
    Thanks

    It sounds like there is a problem with your downloaded version of the
    installer.
    Perhaps your download was corrupted by a running virus checker - we've
    seen that
    before. If you have a virus checker active, flush your browser cache,
    turn off the
    virus checker and reboot. Attempt to download again and run the install
    program.
    You should be prompted for the password and JDK 1.3.1 should be installed
    on your
    system.

    Hi all,
    I have downloaded WLS 6.1 (NT /2000 version) but
    I found several problems with it.
    1) During the installation I'm not asked anymore
    a password for my domain (feature or bug?)
    2) The installation doesn't install jdk1.3.1
    as required by setEnv.cmd. I have arranged the problem
    pointing to my elder jdk1.3.0 that comes with WLS 6.0 but I don't knowif it's
    correct this behaviour.
    3) I have read in the docs that it's possible to deploy
    EJB in a very quick way, without even compiling the classes.
    So I have tried to pack the basic stateless Trader example
    like this:
    META-INF\
    ejb-jar.xml
    weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
    examples\
    ejb\
    basic\
    statelessSession\
    Trader.java
    TraderBean.java
    TraderHome.java
    TradeResult.java
    But then I get only a Stack-trace full of exceptions stating that
    <3-set-01 13.58.26 GMT+02:00> <Error> <Management> <Error deployingapplication
    \config\mydomain\applications\basic.jar: java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowa
    bleException>
    Is anyone aware about how to solve this problems?
    Thanks

    Didn't we hear this from you yesterday? Sounds too familiar. If so, we told you you're using a MICROSOFT product (Visual J++), which is OLD, and not up to the SUN's java specification. We suggested that you dump Visual J++ and go with something like JBuilder, Forte, Visual Cafe, etc.
    This is a SUN site in support of SUN's java - not Microsoft's outdated and non-existent (anymore) version.

  • Itunes problem with visual c++ runtime

    I have not had any problems with my itunes for windows before. But today as soon as I opened itunes, an error message came up with "microsoft visual c++ runtime library" in the window title bar and "application requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. please contact the application's support team for more information". Once you click ok in the window, itunes closes and you can't do anything with it. I have downloaded the latest version of itunes and it still states that. a couple of days ago i did download itunes plus but it doesn't seem like that's the culprit. Can anyone help? Thanks!

    i do hope so, considering that i can't access any of
    my music or account information at all because of it.
    I could always try to remove itunes and reload but I
    can't remember the songs that I've downloaded since
    the last time I made a library backup (last month).
    Here is the answer. First you download the latest iTunes and intstall it. You will not lose your iTunes library by doing this. Then, if you get the "can't save iTunes library" error, you follow the instructions on this page - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93313 - it worked for me!

  • Crystal Report Dll problem with Visual Studio 2005

    I am using Crystal Reports with Visual Studio 2005. At one time there were two different version of Crystal Decision Dll in Global Assembly Cache (GAC). So I uninstalled both the versions and then only installed 10.2.3600.
    I am facing the following error when building my application in visual studio.
    The type 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\arms website\301a5b02\e03ad7d9\assembly\dl3\c30f5560\00f92427_3857ca01\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.DLL'
    and
    'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine\10.2.3600.0__692fbea5521e1304\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll'
    I have only installed it in .Net Framework. For some reason it appears in the temp folder. I cannot delete it and when I renamed it after the next compile it came back again.
    I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks for the tip.
    I installed CR XI R2 with SP2 and 2.1
    There are few reports in the system they use to run fine but now when I try to run them I get the following error:
    Failed to open the connection. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 4060 ] Failed to open the connection. C:\DOCUME1\SSheikh\LOCALS1\Temp\ZGA370 {71BFCD35-F652-48C8-896D-B93229A4D2C2}.rpt Details: [Database Vendor Code: 4060 ]
    I understand that these reports run ok independently and on production machine as well; however when I try to run them from my development machine I get the above error.
    I would appreciate help to resolve this. The code of the report is with report developer and I need to know what settings do I need to change where to be able to run the reports. Also I use my machine for deployment of application on the production server.
    Thanks.

  • Problem with CachedRowSetDataProvider.java from Netbeans 5.5

    Greetings jsf developers,
    I created a program to read some files and writing the data output into a file. The main purpose of this program is to generate a set of data (reading from multiple files) and saving it into a new table. When I ran the program over and over in order to generate some set of data, only the data output from the 1st-run was successfully written into the file. Below is the code snapshot to write the data output into the file:
    ....... after reading all the input data....
    if (t_salesDataProvider_gen.canAppendRow()) {
    try {
    RowKey rowKey = t_salesDataProvider_gen.appendRow();
    t_salesDataProvider_gen.setValue("cid", rowKey, cust_id);
    t_salesDataProvider_gen.setValue("ref_name", rowKey, refName);

    On the CachedRowSetDataProvider.java program, below is the method which threw an exception to my program:
    private FieldKey getFieldKeyInternal(String fieldId) throws DataProviderException {
    if (fieldKeysMap == null) {
    if (fieldKeys == null) {
    getFieldKeys();
    if (fieldKeys == null) {
    return null;
    fieldKeysMap = new TreeMap(String.CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER);
    for (int i = 0; i < fieldKeys.length; i++) {
    fieldKeysMap.put(fieldKeys.getFieldId(), fieldKeys[i]);
    FieldKey fieldKey = (FieldKey) fieldKeysMap.get(fieldId);
    if (fieldKey != null) {
    return fieldKey;
    } else {
    throw new IllegalArgumentException(fieldId); <==
    Under the "<==" sign is the exception which was falling into my program. It always complains that the fieldKey is null for the "ref_name" field, but the fact is NOT.
    If anyone could give me an advice to figure out what is going on with my code or maybe it is bug on Netbeans 5.5. Thank you for your kind attention!
    - jsfNewbie

    Greetings everyone,
    I'd like to thank you for your kind attention to share your thought to my JSF development problem. Although the problem is still a mistery for me, but I decided to move forward to an alternative in order to write a new data into a file using INSERT INTO statement instead of CachedRowSetDataProvider operation. Now everything is under control...and keep going ....
    Thanks!

  • Problems with JList & JTable in Netbeans 5.5

    Hi,
    Netbeans provides good GUI building provider.
    But when i am adding JList inside panel
    and trying to add elements its giving error.
    So how to modify read only code in netBeans 5.5 generated code. ??
    There is problem accessing JList variable to be modify.
    HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS ????
    because When you add JList in your GUI Part.
    Netbeans generates code automatically.
    we can't change it.
    HOW TO DO it... ???

    I have had similar trouble.
    In NetBeans Guieditor, JList and JTable are automatically created in a JScrollPanel. This is good as it saves you lots of formatting.
    PROBLEM: when you click/select the JTable or JList in the GUI Editor the Properties box (right hand side ) only shows properties for the JScrollPane.
    So you will only be able to edit Init code etc for the JScrollPane
    SOLUTION: The "Members View" is a list of members (Panels, Objects, etc) on the left hand side of the screen.
    The JScrollPane is listed there. You simply click on this to expand and select the JTable/JList that it contains.
    When you select the JTable/JList the Properites window (right side of screen) now shows the properties for the component you really want to deal with.
    The code options are very powerful.

  • Problems with visual basic and acrobat X

    Hello,
    In visual basic (excel), I had written a program in visual basic (excel) to open a pdf file on the local server.
    Before I updated to acrobat pro X, I had acrobat pro 8 on my pc.
    With the 8 I didn't had any problems to open the pdf-file.
    Now with the X version, it only opens the start window of acrobat x pro.
    Did they changed something in Xversion?
    Does anyone has an idea to solve this problem?
    Below you can find my visual basic code.
    Thanks in advanced !!
    Sylvie
    Code:
    Sub OpenPDF(bestand As String)
    Dim retval
    Dim sAdobeReader As String
    sAdobeReader = Chr(34) & "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe" & Chr(34)
    'sAdobeReader = "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe"
    retval = Shell(sAdobeReader & Chr(34) & bestand & Chr(34), 0)
    End Sub
    Private Sub SelectedPDF()
    OpenPDF ("N:\11276.pdf")
    End Sub

    This is really a user forum, I think you need a developer forum... maybe SDK?

  • Problems with newer version of Netbeans

    I get an error message when executing an application written using Netbeans 3.3.2 in the newer version of Netbeans. It says it can't find the servlet that is used.
    What should be changed to get it to work with the newer version of Netbeans and why does it work in an older version of Netbeans and not the new version?!!!
    The exact error message was:
    The requested resource (/servlet/controller/EndUsers/Search) is not available.
    Thanks
    Michael

    this isn't a netbeans problem...
    this rather seems to be a problem of packages that can be found or not found.
    make sure you have all the correct jars/packages mounted..
    try to recompile it first!

    HI,
    I think you'd have better luck for answers by contacting the site support area.
    You could try using the Firefox for Mac browser instead.
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/internet_utilities/mozillafirefox.html
    Always good to have a back up browser regardless and it might be more user friendly for that particular site.
