Hi all,
we're experiencing the same error in Tomcat as soon as Tomcat starts, no need to use it.
This issue is caused by something introduced in the BOE web-apps on SP3 onwards, and moreover around BI workspace feature in BI launchpad.
Issue present on upgraded or brand new install of SP3.x.
I've cross checked my deployment which is SP1.6 and a new SP3.5 and I can see that in SP3 there's this new not working thing:
-logon in BI launchpad and create a new BI workspace;
-in the Module Library go to BI Launch Pad Modules;
-in SP3.5 I see a new entry called $MSG_JAM_FEED$ , which is not present in SP1.6;
-if you drag this object to the workspace and then Edit it, then it throws an error when loading the local JRE 1.7 (aa.st.AVApp.class ClassNotFoundException) using Chrome; if you use IE9, it doesn't even load the local JRE.
I wonder which feature has been introduced on BI4.1 SP3 for BI workspaces which points to such an old issue (1198809 - Error: "load: class aa.st.AVApp.class not found." when trying to edit an IMT
that wasn't present in BI4.1 SP1 codeline.
Below the stacktrace after clicking on Ignore/Reload the the above error:

Problem to analyse mapping error
Hi all,
I have a problem to analyse a BPM mapping error on PI7.1. The szenario is as follows: I have 3 different containers (Abstract Interfaces) which data is used to determine the content of a result container.
E.g:
ABSTRACT_INTERFACE_1
ABSTRACT_INTERFACE_2 -> Mapping -> ABSTRACT_RESULT_INTERFACE
ABSTRACT_INTERFACE_3
If have quouted the source interfaces (cardinality 1 for each interface) in my operation mapping and configured the transformation step accordingly. The operation mapping alone works in the integration builder test environment. When I execute the BPM process, the mapping fails. Unfortunately the is no information in the trace leaf of the respective container information. Writing data to the mapping trace doesn't work neither.
Has got anybody an idea what might be the problem?
Kind regards,
HeikoHi Heiko,
Pls, do the following:
1. Build a java mapping which is going to write the payload content before the message mapping.
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformation;
import com.sap.aii.mapping.api.StreamTransformationException;
import java.io.File;
import java.io.FileOutputStream;
import java.io.InputStream;
import java.io.OutputStream;
import java.util.Map;
public class InputFileWriter implements StreamTransformation {
public void setParameter(Map map) {
public void execute(InputStream in, OutputStream out)
throws StreamTransformationException {
try{
File f=new File("C:\PayloadContent.xml");
FileOutputStream fosPayload = new FileOutputStream(f);
byte[] content= new byte[in.available()];
int c;
int i=0;
String sb = "";
while ((c = in.read()) != -1){
content<i>=(byte)c;
sb += (char)content<i>;
i++;
fosPayload.write(sb.getBytes());
fosPayload.close();
out.write(sb.getBytes());
out.close();
}catch(Exception ex){
ex.printStackTrace();
2. Add the javamapping to your interface mapping putting before of message mapping.
3. Run your scenario.
4. Check the file
C:\PayloadContent.xml
5. Test your message mapping in with PayloadContent.xml
And tell me what happened.
Regards
Ivan

Problem wih analysis authorization for two scenarios on same data provider
Dear all,
I am looking for a solution on the following authorization scenario (using the new analysis authorization). Unfortunately everything that I tried did not work out as expected:
User A is allowed to manually access query 1 (based on cube A) with authorization on all sites A-Z
The same user A shall get an email distribution automatically (derivation of the filter in the query out of the authorization) for query 2, which is as well based on cube A, but this time the authorization shall be limited only to site A.
As both queries are based on the same infoobject (0PLANT) and the same infoprovider (0TCAIPROV) I always get the result for all sites A-Z. The 0TCAACTVT is in both cases 03 (display), so I have no chance to distinguish between reporting and email distribution.
Probably the only chance would be to derive the values for the email distribution scenario not from the authorization directly, but using a customer exit to fill the filter - but I would prefer a "standard" solution...
Any ideas??
Thanks,
AndreasDear Andreas,
Before give you an alternative for you problem, Iu2019d like to comment the combining authorization concept:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/46/98cd87f37d19ace10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
For this reason I suggest you which combing restriction through authorization and query filter. For query 2 try to use in 0PLANT characteristic the single value u201Csite Au201D, this restriction give you only authorization for see this value.
Otherwise, you have to use customer exit.
I hope that alternative help you to find a solution,

Connection problems to Analysis Services (local)
Hi everybody,
I can not access to "Analysis Services" in local way with SQL Server Management Studio. I get the following error:
"Unable to establish a connection. Make sure the server is running. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)"
"You can not establish a connection because the target machine expressly rejected that connection 127.0.0.1:2383 (System)"
I have checked the related services and they are running:
SQL Analysis Services (InstanciaName) - En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server (InstanciaName) - En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server Reporting Services (InstanciaName) - En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server Agent (InstanciaName) - En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server Browser (InstanciaName) - En ejecución - LocalSystem
I have checked that the only port whitch is listening is the 2382, and not the 2383:
C:\Windows\system32>netstat /abo | findstr 238
TCP 0.0.0.0:2382 ServerName:0 LISTENING 2016
TCP [::]:2382 ServerName:0 LISTENING 2016
Any idea about what is causing the problem?
Thank you.
Best regards,Thanks for your reply,
The list of services running is the following, before it was an example:
SQL Analysis Services (ALTIRIS) - En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server (ALTIRIS)
- En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server Reporting Services (ALTIRIS)
- En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server Agent (ALTIRIS)
- En ejecución - LocalSystem
SQL Server Browser (ALTIRIS)
- En ejecución - LocalSystem
ALTIRIS is my instancename.
When I try to connect, I put "(local)" in the SQL Server Management Studio, but I get the error.

Problems scripting "analysis" actions in Soundtrack
Hi, I'm trying to create an Soundtrack script (AppleScript) to scan an audio file I send from Final Cut Pro to Soundtrack for Clicks and Pops and Power Line Hum, then fix all the problems and close the project.
I am new to AppleScript and have not had much success, but I believe it is possible as the commands are listed in the Soundtrack AppleScript Dictionary. I have also tried creating an AppleScript directly from Soundtrack, but the tests from the analysis actions don't show up in the actions pane, so the AppleScript does not save them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

[TLD] problem when analysing "next-struts.tld"
Hi,
I need to deploy a big enterprise archive into OC4J, all is deployed but a problem persist. We have a TLD file for our costum tags and OC4J can't use it, I don't know why.
So, here is the problem:
2007-05-03 14:06:36.821 WARNING J2EE JSP-0003 Journalisation de cache TLD JSP :

(in english: error analysing next-struts.tld)
So, because I get that error, when I access to the web-module "carto72", I get an other error:

I've tried to validate it with Eclipse, but it seem to be correct, and he is working into JBoss.
So, what's wrong with that TLD file ??? Can anyone help me please ?Please note that :
When I stop and restart OC4J, the error on TLD file gone when deploying, but still here because, same error when accessing my JSP (using module "carto72")... -
Problem with analysis authorization- 0BI_ALL always needed
Dear all:
we have a serious issue on so-called "analysis authorization" now. We have auth-restricted user who only have authorization to access data on one company code. We also create a BI-authorization in analysis authorization and assign the following auth-relevant object to this authorization-
0TCAACTVT = 01-03
0TCAIPROV = ALL
0TCAVALID = ALL
0TCAKYFNM = ALL
0COMP_CODE = A001
And we create one query with only company code and number of employee in the row and column. But everytime we execute this query, there s always message" No Authorization". We used ST01 to trace and the result shows we need to have "0BI_ALL" in auth object S_RS_AUTH. If we added 0BI_ALL, all company code data will display, which definitely no auth restriction at all. Is there any specific authorization setting we need to do?
We are stuck here pretty bad. Thank you all in advance if any input.
BR
SFHi,
I guess the Authorization profile is active , and in the Tcode PFCG -> Role name -> User tab page ( user comparision is done ).
Check if any of the tab page shows red light .
And assignment of 0BI_ALL is not a solution , as any user can do anything in the system.
Also do not forget to log - off and log-in into system after changing into any of the authorization profile to see changes that had happened.
Hope that helps.

Mr Kapadia

Problem installing Analysis Services in Tabular Mode
I am trying to install Analysis Services in Tabular mode to a server where I have already installed Analysis services in Powerpivot mode and in regular mode. I am following the instructions below and when I get to the screen below the tabular mode
option is greyed out. What do I need to do?
http://blog.quasarinc.com/ssas/installing-sql-server-2012-analysis-services-tabular-mode/Hi Racand,
Which editions of SQL Server 2012 you are using? The Tabular option is only available for Enterprise and Business Intelligence editions. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

No data in Application failure Analysis report for a particular application alone.
Dear All,
We are not able to get the data in Application Failure Analysis report from Appadvisor for a particular application(say ABC) alone, whereas it works fine for different application. Also,we could get the data from other reports(such
as Application status,Problem distribution analysis,etc) for the same application(ABC). PFB snapshot for your reference.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Rajesh Kumar CHi,
Is there any error message when you run Application Failure Analysis report for the specific application?
Does this application have any failure alerts?
You may also look into operation manager even logs to check is there any errors or warnings.

ALV: Problem in exporting to excel with too many columns
Hi,
While exporting from ALV report to excel following issue was faced:
ALV report contains 81 columns out of which 67 columns are displayed properly but from 68th column onwards data is dispalyed on next row
I want all columns displayed on single row..
Any help will greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
DeepakHi Deepak,
I was browsing through these threads to find anwer for the same issue.
So thought of putting my analysis which helped me resolve my problem.
Analysis/Solution:
When we export ALV data to excel worksheet, as sap notes say the maximum lenght allowed is 1023 charaters and the max no of columns supported is 90.
(I never faced any issue related to no of columns as it worked fine for columns >90 too)
Issue occured when row size of exported data gets more than 1023 character.
Therefore the row data must not exceed 1023 character, otherwise column splits and moves to next row.
One additional aspect generally missed is that:
When data in any particular column changes it's length, alv header also changes its lengh (short text, medium text, long text; depending on the length of of the longest cell in the column)
therefore even if you have total length of row less than 1023 character, there might be cases when your ALV header size exceeds this length.
Hopefully it will be helpful for you too.

BW BEX Queries and Analysis Authorizations
Hello....
Have an opportunity with BW BEX queries and Analysis Authorization...would like to see if anyone has had the same experience and if so is there a answer....
1) given a query....
2) given a analysis authorization with a info-object that has intervals defined to be both single values and ranged values
the following happens...
after the query is fired the starter screen appears...the info-object in question appears with the defined single values only....if....the window is opened....again only the single values appear...the range values do not appear...once the query is executed the only results given are those for the single values...
also if you re-fire the query and manually enter a valid value for the info-object that falls with-in any of the range values no result is given...even if there is data for it....the reponse given is no data found....
NOW...if the single values, for the given info-object, are removed from the Analysis Authoriization then the range values appear and work....
Is this a problem within in the query...or...is this a "feature" of the query...and thus must be "lived" with...
Terry
PS...this problem currently only happens if the window for the info-object allows for multi-selection....this problem does not occurr when the window only allows for one selection...Hi,
This is a known problem with analysis authorization and multi selection IO selection criteria.
When you define the analysis authorization with ranges and when you try to enter single values on the selection critera of the query, then the system shows zero data.
You can run the query without entering any selection values for the IO in question only.
I have tried several combinations and still encountering the same issue.

How to get data from MySQL into Analysis Services Tabular Model
Hi,
I have a problem with Analysis Services Tabular Model and MySQL ... I have to use several MySQL databases as a source of Tabuar Model ..
Is there any way to get connection working from Tabular Model to retrieve data from MySQL database. I have a situation that in MySQL server there is several databases with same schema, one for each customer. I have planned to join these customer databases
to one Tabular Model, create roles and users for each customer to query their data.
What do I have to do to get this working ?
PasiHi ,
In Tabular model out of the box there is no direct connectors available for MySQL. Please see the list of supported Data Sources
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg492165.aspx
But i think if you can establish a ODBC connectivity with data source to MYSQL , you can use the ODBC connection to retrieve the data from MySQL. Please try this and post the results here if it is possible or not.

Is there a good book or document that covers IN DETAIL how to analysis both 60 and 2040 deadlock dumps. I have downloaded the metalink documents and for simple deadlock situations they work great.
I have, however, encountered dumps that did not provide straight forward information. The Metalink support analysis offered little help and I understand this is beyond the scope of their responsibility.
I did get help from a DBA on the metalink forum and by deduction something like "since you do not use Materialized View and IOT and there is no second table in the dump it must be Init Trans" he helped me resolve the problem by analysis of the dump file.
Now I have a weird 4020 error that makes little sense.
I would really like to learn how to read these dumps myself. There must be information somewhere. The Metalink Analysis pointed me to the White Papers mentioned above but our deadlocks are rarely that simple because we are careful to avoid them in our code.
If you know of any detailed information please let me know.

ACE : Stickyness with static cookies problem
Hi Gilles
I restart a conversatoion as a question to clarify the situation :
I followed your recommendation to configure static cookie entries in each sticky group, but I still experience the problem of sessions getting re-load balanced to the second server when returning from HTTPS to HTTP :
It seems that the ACE ignores the static entries !
To make my question clear, I repeat hereafter the setup and the encountered problem :
Here is the setup :
An ACE load balance user requests on two Apache servers
cookie-insert is used to stick a user on one Apache server
The home page is accessed via http on port 80
On the Home page, there is a link to allowing the user to login
The login process uses SSL
During the login, backend SSL is required between the ACE and the selected Apache server
The login is a POST request to the Apache server
After a successful login, the home page is reloaded on port 80 and the name of the user should appear on the top of the page
The ACE configuration :
Two sticky groups are configured : one for HTTP acess and another for HTTPS access
Two server farms are defined, both using the same real servers, but with different ports (80 and 443)
In the ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTP stick group the two following cookies are automatically generated :

In the ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTPS stick group the two following cookies are automatically generated :

The problem :
Let analyse the sequence of events and the value of the http cookie for each of them :
When the the home page is originally loaded, the ACE selects SERVER-1
The ACE inserts the cookie "A" in the server responses
The user is sticked to SERVER-1
Then, the user tries to login and an SSL session is established with the ACE
The user sends a POST request containing the cookie "A"
A backend SSL session is established with SERVER-1
The POST request is forwarded to SERVER-1
SERVER-1 responds with a 200 OK and the ACE generates another cookie "B" as it belongs to the sticky group ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTPS
The client browser reloads the page on port 80 and provides the cookie "B" (the last received)
The ACE sees the cookie "B" and should use the static cookie entry to select the SERVER-1
But instead, the ACE perform another load balancing decision and selects SERVER-2 !
The page is reloaded, but the name of the user does not appear on it

ACE : Stickyness problem with http cookies
Hi,
I am facing a serious problem with stickyness in a e-commerce configuration.
Two server farms are defined, both using the same real servers, but with different ports (80 and 441)
sticky http-cookie STICKED-TO ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTP
cookie insert browser-expire
timeout 240
replicate sticky
serverfarm ECOM_FARM_TEST_HTTP
sticky http-cookie STICKED-TO ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTPS
cookie insert browser-expire
timeout 240
replicate sticky

The client browser reloads the page on port 80 and provides the cookie "B" (the last received) !!
The ACE sees the cookie "B" but does not find it in its database for the sticky group ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTP
The ACE perform another load balancing decision and selects SERVER-2 ! (instead of SERVER-1)
The page is reloaded, but the name of the user does not appear on it
The question :
As it is not possible to have only one sticky group in this configuration what would be the solution to make sure that the same server is selected for http and https ?
Thank you for any hints,
YvesHi Gilles,
I followed your recommendation to configure static cookie entries in each sticky group, but I still experience the problem of sessions getting re-load balanced to the second server when returning from HTTPS to HTTP :
It seems that the ACE ignores the static entries !
To make my question clear, I repeat hereafter the setup and the encountered problem :
Here is the setup :
An ACE load balance user requests on two Apache servers
cookie-insert is used to stick a user on one Apache server
The home page is accessed via http on port 80
On the Home page, there is a link to allowing the user to login

R105816849 for the server HQCHECOM01
R105852786 for the server HQCHECOM02
In the ECOM_STICKY_TEST_HTTPS stick group the two following cookies are automatically generated :
R355972695 for the server HQCHECOM01
R357158616 for the server HQCHECOM02
I statically configured in the each sticky group the cookies used by the other sticky group, to allow stickiness when the browser switches from HTTP to HTTPS and vice versa :
