Problems disabling the "Create ZEN partition" with PXE

I have a new PXE server running ZEN7 on OES2. I have been able to get all the functionality of my older PXE server on Netware, with one exception. The Linux-based PXE server prompts to create a ZEN imaging partition every time a system is imaged. I have this disabled in the server policy, which appears to be working in every other aspect (like showing the menu everytime PXE boot occurs). Any ideas?

Can't create Windows partition with BootCamp

When I try to create Windows partition with BootCamp I get the same error, no matter what size the partition is set to : "This disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved" and then keeps giving instructions about formatting the disk as a single partition (after performing a full backup I assume), and then try using BootCamp again.
Does that mean I have to erase and reinstall OS X to be able to do that ? Cause I just did that and I have the same problem. I'm not reinstalling again, it took me an entire day to reinstall all my softwares and run all the updates... Plus it reminds me too much of my Windows days... I'm not supposed to do that on a Mac anyway
Back to the topic... are there any services that need to be stopped during partitioning ? Any software installed that could prevent that ?
What could cause this problem ?

Weird thing is I had no trouble making a partition using BootCamp before I restored OS X, and I had the same softwares installed... or maybe I did that before I installed some of them... Could this be related to any software I have installed ?
And judging by your suggestions I would say that the "iDefrag" option is the only way out of the two to make this work. Sounds a little extreme if you ask me... What happens on the first attempt of creating the partition that would make me choose backing up and/or defragmenting ? ... You don't have to answer that if it's too complicated...
Same thing happened on my other MBP... so as far as I'm concerned, I can only restore one more time and try to make the partition right after first startup. If that fails, then it means it could have been software related... Or maybe restore again, install one more software/utility I use and try partitioning again... and again, and again, until it fails...that way I'll know what caused it...

Is the Creative ZEN compatible with Windows XP Pro x64 editi

Hello, I recently bought a Zune and then found out it wasn't compatible with my OS, XP Pro x64. I installed the software on my laptop, but it was just too troublesome to set everything up and exchange music, videos, etc. between the two machines. So I've decided to return the Zune and get a Zen instead. I'd really like to buy the ZEN 8GB, but it does not state whether or not the x64 edition is supported. The ZEN V Plus states that the software does support the OS, so if I have to get that one, I don't mind. Thanks.

As soon as I tried to instal the included software from the CD, a dialogue box appeared stating, "The windows operating system running on this computer is not supported by this product." I have done everything the technical assistance group has suggested with the samed result including a clean install. I did load it on my 32 bit laptop. It works fine. ONe of the problems I have found is that the correspondance goes to a different person each time and they are not reading the dialogue. I have found a way to make it work (well somewhat) with my 64 bitg machine. Oddly enough thed software for my zen V load on fine but the software is incampatable with the Zen 8GB unit. I think that there are softwarfe problems and CT is not really dealing with them.

Try running in Safe mode. This leaves out some video drivers. Which results in machine not using advanced video hardware.

The Micro Zen's with reinforced headphone Pl

I heard the Creative has released some new Micro Zen's with reinforced headphone plugs. I just what to know how to find out if the one your buying has this? Recently my Zen's headphone plug kinda stopped working and so I'd like to exchange it for the one that has the rienforced thing in it since it has been less than 30 days so I can return it.

There's no real easy way to tell. Some people have said that if you take off the white top then you can see that there are two (or was it one?) screw that holds the top plate on.

Disable the Keyboard Auto-Shutoff with screen rotation? Yoga would make a great All in One PC

I'm looking to shut of the keyboard so that the screen can be folded inward and the laptop can function as a keyboard.
The yoga would be GREAT! for this purpose. So far..
I've disabled the YMC service, no effect
Disabled all the sensors in Device Manager, no effect
Switched the screen autorotate button off, no effect
Disabled all the USB input devices in HID, no effect
I cannot find an active service or hardware ID that seems to control the keyboard disable function. I THINK it may be part of touchpad.
Any thoughts on how the keyboard disable can be shut off via software or cmos? Something I've missed?

Have you tried this one? It's part of the Lenovo Transition package.
C:\ProgramData\YogaSmartSwicth\controlPanel\Keyboard and Touchpad.exe
It doesn't show up in the Contol Panel and you might need to enable "show hidden files and folders" to locate it.
If you uncheck that setting, the keyboard and touchpad should stay enabled.

Problem after the uninstall of windows with the bootcamp assistant!!!!

I have too problems: The first is my bad english i like to excuse for that. I hope you can even so understand my main problem. I try to describe it to you: I install windows on my mac. After a short time i decide, i don't like it and i uninstall it with the bootcamp assistant. Than i want to start my mac but it didn't work. My mac want to start windows even though I install windows.
I think there is something that isn't uninstall but i don't no where and what i can do against this problem???

If you can't boot into OS X, then hold down the Option key on startup, and select your OS X partition.
After that, do what the above poster said, so that the Mac knows to always boot to that volume.

How can I disable the "create custom shape" window?

When I'm using the custom shape tool in CS6, it will often bring up a new window labeled "create custom shape". It's really disruptive and I'd like to know how I can disable it to prevent it from poping up.

OK I can now get the dialog window to pop up with a single click in a document with my mouse or intuos tablet. I had never seen that popup. Under normal conditions with the mouse I use and my old Intuos 2 now replaced with an Intuos 5 with default sensitivity setting I never saw that popup. Now that I know it exists and how to get it I can pop it up. Try changing your Wacom feel perhaps your getting extra single clicks.

Can I disable the fonts that come with iWork and iLife?

I use the most recently updated versions of Mavericks, Adobe CC and Fontxplorer.
When I am working in Photoshop, the list of fonts shows about 50 fonts that I never, ever, ever use. They come from iWork, iLife and the foreign language fonts that come with Mac. I suppose this is a minor problem, but it seems like something obvious that could be fixed.
Is there a way to either:
a) Get Photoshop to hide those fonts
b) Get Fontexplorer to hide those fonts from Photoshop
c) Disable fonts like Blackmoor, Schoolhouse, (many others) and the 8 fonts that include the word "Sangnam"?

I've found the foreign language fonts in Fontexplorer. That's great.
Now, as for the iWork and iLife fonts... some of them don't show up anywhere.
For example "Blackmoor" isn't in the system fonts list.
Spotlight can't find it either....
But there it is, working, in the applications.

After creating new partition with iPartition, on a nonbootdrive, I can no longer see any files stored on that drive.

I have a Hitachi disk that I use for media (photos, videos, etc..)
After using Ipartition to create a new partition on this disk, none of the files are visible any more.
The disk was never partiton before so this was the first partition created.
When I launch iPartition again, I notice that I now have a Microsoft FAT or NTFS type partion and a HFS partiton however there is no data at all under Finder.
What should I do to recover my files ?

you don't need 3rd party to shrink and create a 2nd partition.
One partition is still partition, and there are others like Lion Recovery, GUID, EFI on there.
Repair the drive and make sure iPartition does what you want and current. Or just use DU instead.
And backup.

I need help with creating a partition with bootcamp. I run OSX Lion and want to also run Windows 7.

Bootcamp is not allowing me to create the partition. The message i get when i try to do so is as follows:

Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again.
I am looking in Disc Utility and am not sure what to do.
To me it looks like i only have one 'single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume. So i am not sure exactly what it is requiring me to do?

Look to the right under "More Like This". Your issue has been discussed many many times. The error you are seeing is because you do not have enough free "contiguous" space on your hard drive. Read the other threads that address this issue to find how to solve the issue.
Or, put "The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved" into the search box at the upper right of this page.

Advice needed: The way to solve out of memory problem (or the way to work with big csv files)

I'm in trouble: I have a big csv file (over 5gb of web-analytics data) and my 64 bit excel (and 6gb ram)
I cant load file to data model because of it's size. There is an error "out of memory" in power query.
This is the first time when I encountered such a problem.
What options do I have to work with such a file? To increase memory in my computer? Would it solve the problem? How much do I need to work with 6gb csv?
Or may be I can upload my data somewhere to azure and work with it there?
So the problem - is there any way to deal with big files using power query? Or I need to become a developer and learn sql or other languages?

Problem selecting the right jre version with jnlp

I am using Webstart 1.4.2.
When instaling, it correctly found 2 jre versions on my system, 1.4.1_03 and 1.4.2.
Because our application currently is not working with 1.4.2 I need to force webstart to use 1.4.1_03.
I tried to set the tag <j2se version="1.4.1_03"
When loading from the websever I get a "Error Code 11 (11 Could not locate requested version) "...same if I explicitly set to 1.4.2.
I suspect that webstart is checking the "platform version" which are set for both to 1.4 and not the "product version" (see java preferences in webstart).
Does somebody know if there is another jnlp tag I can use to force a specific version? or any other workaround.
In my opinion this is a bug webstart should check the product version
