Problems starting with the BeanBox
Hi all,
I have to create a couple of beans so I start reading a litle bit about it.
Following the Sun J2 book I sart downloading the BDK that includes the BeanBox. When I try to run it I get the following error(see below). Hope somebody can help me.
Cheers,
Bobby.

This problem is explained in the "JavaBeans FAQ: Help with Common Problems" at java.sun.com. Look at http://java.sun.com/products/javabeans/faq/faq.help.html. I have reposted the reply here for your convience.

There were some changes made to the Introspector in order for EventSets created by the Intospector to conform to the JavaBeans specification. See bugs 4402159 and 4407239 for details. Unfortunately, the ExplicitButtonBeanInfo class that shipped with the BDK do not conform to the JavaBeans specification and are rejected. This is not as bad as it seems. Other than the exeption being thrown at startup and the failure to load the buttons.jar file, the rest of the BeanBox will work fine.
As a work around, you may want to go into the sunw.demo.buttons.ExplicitBeanInfo.getEventSetDescriptors() source file, change the first actionPerformed string in the first EventSetDescriptor to be action and recompile the class. The source file for the demo beans used in the BeanBox is in <BDK_INSTALL_DIR>demo\sunw\demo\buttons\ExplicitButtonBeanInfo.java. At around line 47, change:
EventSetDescriptor push = new EventSetDescriptor(beanClass,
"actionPerformed",
java.awt.event.ActionListener.class,
"actionPerformed");
to:
EventSetDescriptor push = new EventSetDescriptor(beanClass,
"action",
java.awt.event.ActionListener.class,
"actionPerformed");

Good morning , I bought my mac pro 13 ' in 2011 (OX 10.10) , in March 2014 I had to replace the video card , fortunately under warranty.
Today, after only eight months starting with the same problems !
I read online that some mac products in 2011 were put on the market defective , you can get a warranty extension or even a replacement mac?dubem747 wrote:

After updating itunes three (3) days ago - itunes close shortly after starting with the message "a problem occured and cannot be solved, please close application" - Platform: WIN7 - iTunes 11.2.9.115
Start with the third box in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
If that doesn't work, use the steps in the second box to repair your iTunes installation. Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I was recording a song, finished it and everything went alright. Then I wanted to start with the recording of a new song. With the SAME plug-ins and settings as in the song before. I could record it all, but then, logic started crashing! Now, Logic crashes everytime I open up the new song as soon as I press play. But when I open up the older song, everything works just fine. I can press play without any problems, do things here and there... typical Logic stuff. So, it has to do with my new project! But why? I mean, I'm using everything the same way in both projects. Literally everything!
Now, here's one of my crash reports... please help. Please. Thanks in advance!

You won't lose any of your presets..... Because this is simply an update and not an upgrade -
Lightroom 4 crashes when trying to open the slideshow module. I spent over three hours with both Adobe and Apple tech support and we know it is a permission issue but have not been able to get it solved. It started with the last upgrade to 10.8
Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
{ sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -Rh $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
The first step should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select
▹ Restart
from the menu bar. -
My ipod won't sync any thing in my iTunes library it always stop as soon as it starts backingup the Ipod a message appears that says iTunes cannot backup the Ipod "my Ipod" because a session couldn't be started withthe Ipod how do i fix this problem?
This is exactly what the message says: iTunes could not back up the iPod "austins ipod" because a session could not be started with the iPod.Try connecting your ipod to another computer and sync only 1 file or song just for isolation purpose only to see if it'll sync.
If still not syncing, then porbably you may have a bad iOS installed in iPod which is hard to see if it has a problem because you said nothing's wrong with iPod. I just saying is, it MIGHT have a bad iOS.
If you are unable to do a restore, put your ipod in DFU mode, then connect to iTunes and iTunes will detect your ipod in restore mode. Press shift key (PC keyboard) then click the restore button on iTunes. I hope you have your copy of IPSW file for restoration purposes. -
Since 2 updates I started getting iTunes could not back up the iPhone 'my IPhone' because a session could not be started with the iPhone. This is happening with my iPad and iPhone. I see hundreds of complains on this issue starting from last year and obviously Apple has no clue how to solve this error. I went through the solutions and spend over an hour deleting backups resetting lockdown, restarting and nothing is working. Are they serious to ask us to disconnect all other USB devices to sync our equipment everyday to solve their problem? iTunes is the worst program I have seen on the market in the past 10 years. It reminds me of DOS programs that could only do one item at a time. You click a command and just wait and wait and wait. Of course they want me to call customer service, wait for x time to talk to tech support and then spend more time. I don't have the time. I spent a lot of money to get an equipment that should work as advertised and not spend further my valuable time. I have reached my limit with Apple and that crap iTunes. I'm calling for a divorce.
[By the way, your spell check doesn't recognize your own products such as iPad, iTunes and iPhone. Such an embarrassing company.]Do you happen to be running any processes that Apple doesn't want you to use? (Jailbroken?)

ITunes could not back up the iPhone because a session could not be started with the iPhone
Hi
I have just updated to iTunes 10.7.(oh it just scrolled off the screen give me 5 minutes for it to come back again) 10.7.0.21 - the latest version
I run Win7 64bit & during installation i got the blue-screen of death & windows crashed
I went to apple website & downloaded iTunes manually & installed (it tried to install in the (x86) folder as usual, so i forced it into the 64 bit program folder like i always have to do.
It now runs fine but when ever i sync in get the error "iTunes could not back up the '' iPhone because a session could not be started with the iPhone"
I have tried deleting the existing backup as suggested in the forums but that didn't solve the problem, and now i have no backups at all
I have restarted the iPhone & the computer but the error is still the same.
PS i have "Encypt local backup" selected, if i try to unselect that option at the moment it says my password is incorrect, my password is correct, i made a record of it & know exactly what password i used but iTunes is saying it is wrong, is this because i have no backups at the moment or is iTunes completely broken
I have also tried to backup to iCloud as a temporary measure but it says i don't have enough space so must buy some!
Any help would be appreciatedCould be that iTune can't read your latest backup file. You might have to delete it, follow this article to find out how to delete the backup from the list: iTunes: "Backup could not be saved on the computer" alert message

A session could not be started with the ipod
My ipod touch 3 won't sync. I get a message that says "itunes could not back up the ipod "xxx" because a session could not be started with the ipod." I tried the recommendation of going to edit-->preferences-->devices and deleting the 'back up' file, but there IS no back up file. I've updated my security software. I've run the diagnostic for syncing and it said it passed. I've shut off and restarted my ipod. Not sure what else to do. Don't really want to restore to original settings.
I had this problem and found the solution (for me anyway). After looking in Logs I found a lot of "could not create file in All Users/Lockdown". On this XP computer it is here (and hidden):
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple
So I moved the files in the Lockdown folder out of there. Then I got another error about the "pairing record missing" and searching that, found to move the .plist files out of the Preferences directory (all of the above with iTunes shut down i.e. not running of course). These were located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Joanne\Application Data\Apple Computer\Preferences
Then I launched iTunes and all was well again. Maybe you can just delete the .plists out of Preferences, I dunno.
Hope this helps you or anyone else searching on this somewhat maddening problem. I encountered the trouble upon updating iTunes to 10.5 and then trying to sync my iPod Touch v4.3.1. The backup has to work of course before I can update to iOS 5.0. -
I want to backup my phone before upgrading to ios5 but I get an error message: itunes could not back up the iphone because a session could not be started with the iphone. I want to go to ios5, but I do not want to lose everything. I've gone to my device under preferences and I have no backup currently.
I have a Verizon Iphone 4 and a PC.

Dear All,
i have a problem starting with netweaver developer studio.
once it is opened , it is not responding......same application is staring again......keep not responding.........
can anyone help me to solve thisHello Sithi,
The information you provided is not sufficient to understand the problem situation.
Give more infos like:
1. NWDS version
2. Did your NWDS work before properly or is it a new installation making problems are installing.
3. Check the log file in NWDS for Errors
Also my advice would be to:
1. Close NWDS
2. delete the contents of workspace directory =>
%user_home%\Documents\SAP\workspace\
(%user_home% = your home directory)
3. After deleting just start NWDS.
Greetings,
Praveen Gudapati
p.s. Points are always welcome for helpful answers
