Problems with config nodemanage SSL setings weblogic10.3

Hi,
I am new to build weblogic cluster. But I got some problems when I build it.
I tried to build a simple architecture as a demo to understand the cluster.
I have two PCs with XP
PC1 and PC2
I defined machine0 to PC1 and machine1 to PC2 in the weblogic.
pc1 IP:192.168.1.102
pc2 IP:192.168.1.103
I created a domain on the PC1 testDomain
I created a admin server and one node on the PC1(machine0):testAdmin, testNode1
I created another node on the PC2(machine1):testNode2
Cluter: testCluster, testNode1, testNode2 added
Cluster Address:192.168.1.102
I launch the nodeManager menully.
I wanted to start testNode1 in the admin console(web page)
It's seems working, I can see the status changed to "RUNNING". But I got the message in the console
Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer localhost - 127.0.0.1 during SSL handshake
It seems there is something wrong with the SSL handshanke, this message will appeared when I enter the
testDomain->Environment->Server page in the admin console.
I launched the nodeManager with the SecureListener=false
and the setting in the testAdmin, testNode1, testNode2 is SSL Listen Port Enabled UNCHECKED
keystores setting is "Dome identity and Demo Trust"
In the machine0 the node manger tab Type is Plain.
My question is:
1. I didn't setting the SSL why the server will use SSL to communitate each othe.
2. If I want to use Nodemanager to control the node server, is the SSL must be setting?
3. What cause the message I got, is between nodemanager and testAdmin or testAdmin and testNode1? Is there any way to solve it?
4. I found weblogic tool utils.CertGen can generate SSL certificates, how to use it to recreate the DemoIdentity.jks and DemoTrust.jks, is it possible?
My operations are all focus on the PC1 I believe the SSL setting is the cause, please give me some advise.
Thanks

Make sure you restart the nodemanger service or script when you make changes to the nodemananger.properties file. They don't usually pick up on the fly. Previous post was correct in that the errors are probably within the cert. Turn off SSL and test and it will confirm. If still getting issues turn off the hostname verifier on the admin server (on keystore page or SSL under the admin server config).

    Hi everybody,
I have a problem with config sync between two CSM-S modules.
    I am using CSM-S software version 2.1(8).

The standby module is used in a 6509-V with VS-S720-10G supervisor (no VSS setup) running software version 12.2(33)SXI3.
    Failover seems to work fine:

The last log message on standby device seems to be correct - there is no CSM configuration after the attempted config sync.
Our configuration includes about 3500 lines and it is really uncomfortable to keep in sync manually.
Maybe someone has the same problem?
    kind regards,
    Christoph

    Hi Christoph,
I am running into the exact same issue. Upon further investigation I've discovered that this is a known bug, CSCtd09117.  You can read more about it here: http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtd09117 .   Apparently this is fixed in ver 12.2(32.8.11)SX323 .
I haven't had a chance to upgrade yet, so I can't verify the fix, but if it works for you please let me know.
    Regards,
    Brandon

  • Problem with the NodeManager in Weblogic 10.0 MP1

    Hi,
I have a problem starting the Nodemanager successfully. I have currently installed BEA Weblogic 10.0 MP1. The admin server is getting started successfully. When, I start the Nodemanager with the command:

After this, when I check the nodemanager status in Console, then the status appears as REACHABLE. Assuming, this to be the successfully message, I try to start the managed servers associated with the Machine/Server. But, it fails and there appears a message on the console with the status as 'Force Shutting Down' for this server.
When I check the logs, there seems to be some problem with the Nulll exception. Please see the below logs as it appears, its only a part of the logs

  • Problems with Tiger Server SSL after attempting to update cert

I have been getting an error message saying that my SSL is self-signed even though it is a GeoTrust cert.
I deleted the certificate that was there and had my cert re-issued in order to try to remedy this problem and now my SSL site prevents the server's Web services from starting.
The error I am getting from log says:
[Mon Dec 21 15:50:49 2009] [error] mod_ssl: Init: Unable to read server certificate from file /etc/certificates/center.7thdirection.com.crt (OpenSSL library error follows)

I have been in contact with GeoTrust and they really don't know OS X Server that well. I need help and can't afford Apple's phone support. Anyone here have any ideas?
    TIA.

I suggest you ask in the Tiger server forum.

  • Problems with Config Tool; ADS not running

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to create an Interactive Form, but I get the following error
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.pdfobject.core.PDFObjectRuntimeException: Service call exception; nested exception is:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (404) Not Found.
I assume that Adobe Document Services is not running. I typed http://localhost:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/config in my browser. The result was an Error 404, too.
In a documentation sheet about administration of ADS, I found that service IIOP in the config tool should be set to startup mode "always".
When I tried to apply the changes in the config tool, it terminated with a critical error. Logfile says the following:

  • Problem with ASA 5505 SSL login

I have an ASA 5505 that is hosting a SSL VPN. The user can not login. They receive login error. To the best of their knowledge, this problem started after the office Domain Controller was rebuilt. I have looked on ASA and in AD and cannot seem to trace the issue. Any ideas?

    David,
In order to understand why LDAP is not working run a "debug ldap 255" and then try to login or run a AAA test.
Attach the output to find out the issue.
Please check this out as well, to make sure that you have the correct settings:

  • Problem with Config Agent

    Hello together,
I have noticed that I can only distribute configuration parameter with my agent when I distribute an application at the same time. Can I distribute only configuration parameters to my devices? Perhaps exists a parameter for this behavior in DOE?
    Greetings
    Waldemar

    Hi Waldemar,
Have you tried assigning Agents to your device through the "Manage Agents" link of your device, as suggested by Rohith?
Please note that the parameters of "standard" agents "CONFIG", "TRACE" are the only once that are "consumable" by the client because there is a semantic/logic defined within the client to handle these parameters.  Are you trying to assign agent parameters other than "CONFIG" / "TRACE"?  This may not work.
If you are assigning the "right" agent parameters and still think that they haven't reached the client, then the only reason could be that either your device's "SAP BASIS" SWCV is still NOT operational and hence the "AGENT_CONFIG" messages are not reaching the outbound queue.  Please verify this.
Ensure that before registering your client with the device in DOE, you should have uploaded the same version of NWMCLIENT.SCA file in the DOE as that of your client.  Otherwise, the SAP BASIS SWCV doesn't get "operational".
Please verify both of the above and let me know if my suggestions helped.
    Best Regards,
    Kranti

  • Problem with 2 way SSL for JMS

Finally, there is some progress on my JMS over SSL (2 way with JNDI). I am able to send/receive JMS messages but there is an exception in Weblogic server log (see attached). Let me summarise all the steps involved:
(I have referred this doc http://java.sun.com/j2ee/1.4/docs/tutorial/doc/Security6.html as I found this more convenient)
    1. Generate the server private key/public certificate pair:
C:\softwares\bea\satishb\ssl\3>keytool -genkey -alias serveralias -keyalg RSA -keypass password -storepass password -keystore .\server\svrkeystore.jks
    2. Export the generated server certificate in svrkeystore.jks into the file server.cer:
C:\softwares\bea\satishb\ssl\3>keytool -export -alias serveralias -storepass password -file .\server\server.cer -keystore .\server\svrkeystore.jks
    3. To create the trust-store file cacerts.jks and add the server certificate to the trust-store:
C:\softwares\bea\satishb\ssl\3>keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias serveralias -file .\server\server.cer -keystore .\server\cacerts.jks -keypass password -storepass password
    Now Client part:
    1. Generate the client key/cert pair:
C:\softwares\bea\satishb\ssl\3>keytool -genkey -alias clientalias -keyalg RSA -keypass password -storepass password -keystore .\client\cltkeystore.jks
    2. Export the generated client certificate into file client.cer:
C:\softwares\bea\satishb\ssl\3>keytool -export -alias clientalias -storepass password -file .\client\client.cer -keystore .\client\cltkeystore.jks
    3. Add the certificate to the trust-store file cltcacerts.jks (this trust-store will be used by weblogic server for client authentication):
C:\softwares\bea\satishb\ssl\3>keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias clientalias -file .\client\client.cer -keystore .\client\cltcacerts.jks -keypass password -storepass password
    - I deployed svrkeystore.jks to weblogic server as the custom identity and cltcacerts.jks as the trust store (so that client au takes place).
    - I use server\cacerts.jks file at the client side to authenticate the server as the custom trust store.
-Both the JMS client and the weblogic server are using the same Java ie C:\softwares\bea\jdk150_04.
I am now able to send/receive the JMS messages but in the Weblogic server logs, I see these which seems to me that the proper SSL handshake has not taken place:

It is a domain wide setting. Can you not create a new domain? I do not think that you can handle it from web.xml. I have never seen such thing in web.xml.

  • Problem with config of new install

    Hello,
I just installed VO 1.61 on a NW65SP5 box. I got the config screen ok,
and selected the "Typical" install which ended as follows:
    Schema was successfully upgraded.
The following error occurred with the portal object in the directory:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException::[LDAP: error code 32 - NDS error: no
    such entry (-601)]
The following portal modules were installed:
    Administration Module
    Community Services Module
    Forgotten Password Module
    Virtual Office Module
Now, if I try to go to http://server/vo I just get a page with the above
    information.
In the KB it says that the error is due to using invalid characters in
the LDAP name, but what name was it and how do I fix it? How do I
    reconfigure or otherwise correct this?
    Your help appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Ken

After rebooting the server, I now get:
    HTTP Status 500 -

    it from fulfilling this request.

  • Problem with config file ssis

I have changed the server name from dev to test in config file, it worked fine but when I try to change it back to dev it reflect the change. Package still executes fro test configuration. What could be the problem. I have reloaded the package many times
    also.
    Thanks,
    sree

What I have noticed is that when I create a new config for a package and edit the server name, it is reflecting only once. Next time it is not changing.
Let me explain how I configured my package
-created a variable called servername and on configuration manager I have edited the expression to map property:Servername to the variable I have created .
-Next under configuration manager I have selected the value of variable which I'm editing by opening the config file in notepad
    I'm I doing it right?

  • SMTP problem with 10.4.2

I am having trouble sending email via SMTP like several others I've seen posted in this forum. In my case
    1) This occurs from 2 different machines, both running Mac OS X 10.4.2, so I think the problem is generic to 10.4.2.
    2) I can telnet to port 25 on the server in question, so it's not a network or DNS problem.
    3) I can access other SMTP servers fine, so I don't think the problem is a general Mail bug, which would have generated 1000x more discussion traffic.
    4) I can even access the server is question when I'm inside the firewall at work, where authentication is not required.
This would seem to point the finger at the authentication mechanism between the Mac and specific SMTP server software. I've discussed this in detail with the helpdesk people at my work and we've found that according to the SMTP server logs, the connection fails because of a lack of TLS (SSL), even though that check box is selected on both of my Macs. I'm guessing there is a problem with the Mail SSL and this version of the server software. The SMTP server is running PMDF version 6.2-1 on Solaris 9.
I thought I'd post this as a separate thread to collect information on the SMTP server software where there are problems. If you are having SMTP server problems and can find out the version of SMTP software running, we may find the pattern.
    Raph

not sure if this is related, but mail 2.0.5 on OS10.4.3 doesn't let me change smtp servers consistently. often times, an smtp server that i have added in mail/preferences/accounts doesn't even show up as an option in the dropdown menu when a mail send fails. ever run into this?

  • Problems with IE and 128-bit encryption -- correction

Repost with corrected e-mail address -- sorry!
Hello. I'm having a problem with 128-bit SSL and Internet Explorer.
I'm using WebLogic 5.1 (128-bit build) and a Verisign certificate.
We're seeing some strange behavior with Internet Explorer. It seems to
work fine from some machines, but doesn't work from others. On the ones
that it doesn't work, it gives the "The page cannot be displayed"
message. I've tried this with IE 4.0.1 (with 128-bit patch) and IE 5.5
(128-bit by default) and have the same problems with both. We're seeing
this problem across various Windows operating systems, but aren't seeing
any pattern there. Any ideas as to what might be the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

The Mozilla browsers which include Firefox has supported 256-bit even encryption for a long time now.
The issue could perhaps be the e-qip site is still looking for the old obsolete '''U''' in the useragent which was used to specify the encryption strength of 128-bit though 256-bit has been supported for a long while already at time by Mozilla applications. This "U" was removed in Firefox useragent as of 4.0 which was released March 22nd, 2011. The old 3.6.x was the last to have it.
