  • Include XSL file while using API

    Hello,
    I want to use the include tag to include a XSL Stylesheet to my RTF while using the API
    If I run the report locally I use:
    <?import:file:///C:/temp/htmlmarkup.xsl?>
    If I run the report on APPS I use:
    <?import:xdo://INV.HTMLMARKUP.de.DE?>
    But what do I refer if I am in the context of the APIs? My XSL file is in the java-resource-tree available under:
    com.my.application.bi.resource.style.htmlmarkup.xsl
    But I allways get XML-22002: (Fatal Error) Error while processing include XSL file
    Any hints for me?
    Best Regards
    Alexander

    No, you cannot do this. Using the Acrobat SDK a programmer can combine PDF files using OLE.

  • How to include XSL-Files stored in CLOBs in XSL-Files

    Hi everybody!
    Using a "standard" XSL-Parser, one can use
    <xsl:include href="to-be-included.xsl" />
    So, if i use the pl/sql xsl-parser, can I do anything simular to this, to include another xsl-document, which is stored in CLOB ?
    Any idea or suggestion ?

  • Issue on Web sharing and XSL files

    Hi all,
    What are the things to be taken care while we are doing websharing. I have an issue with one of my xMII projects. Everything is working fine on that server except xsl files. It is not getting transformed into HTML at run time. It is showing in XML format instead. I really doubt the problem is with my web sharing, because the same set of files(<b>including XSL file</b>) are working on a different server without any issue.
    I have done websharing by right clicking on the folder name, selecting the websharing tab and giving Alias name. Is that ok or anything more as to be done?
    Can anyone please trace out the issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Muzammil P.T

    Hi,
    Webroot is still in c:\inetpub\wwwroot, but i set up a new virtual directory to <b>c:\Lighthammer</b> and accessing xMII using the URL http://*...*/Lighthammer
    and my project contects using http://*...*/Lh/CompApps/MyProj/HomePage.html
    (I have given Lh as the Alias name).
    Here, My xMII homepage is working and myProj Homepage is also working fine. Once i calls the HTML pages which contains XSL files, the problem is coming.
    Please Note: The same contents is working on our different server without any change.

  • Merge all XSL files

    I am using XSL/JSP to design the Application Form.
    Now I want to split header, sidebar, footer and
    app form into 4 XSL files, only app form will receive dynamic data from XML, the rest are static pages.
    One way I can think of is using 5 JSPs to process
    E.g.
         ApplicationForm.jsp
         ->Header.jsp     -> Header.xsl
         ->sidebar.jsp     -> Sidebar.xsl
         ->Footer.jsp     -> Footer.xsl
         ->Form.jsp     -> Form.xsl
    But this method may be very expensive as each JSP has to invokes XSLTProcessor.process()
    How can I process these XSL files better in term of performance?
    Can I merge all XSL files into one first?
    Albert KT Tan

    Hello,
    I'm not exactly sure I get what you're looking for.
    What I was suggesting was one jsp calling a Java Class 5 times and outputting the XML string translated to HTML in their proper places.
    You're going to have 5 input xml files, so no matter what you're going to have to do 5 translations, right? If so what's the difference if you pass the same xsl to each translation or 5 different ones? Is this the part I'm confused on?
    You could do it like this too.
    <%
    //The class that does the translations
    ApplyXML ax = new ApplyXML();
    String header = ax.apply(xmlFilePathHeader, xslFilePathHeader);
    String sidebar = ax.apply(xmlFilePathSidebar, xslFilePathSidebar);
    String footer = ax.apply(xmlFilePathFooter, xslFilePathFooter);
    String form = ax.apply(xmlFilePathForm, xslFilePathForm);
    %>
    <!-- then just plug the translated strings in where you need them. -->
    <html>
    <body>
    <table>
    <tr>
    <td colspan="2">
    <% out.println(header); %>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <% out.println(sidebar); %>
    </td>
    <td>
    <% out.println(form); %>
    </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <% out.println(footer); %>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </body>
    </html>
    Am I still misunderstanding?

  • How can I process an xml/xsl file pair that require the Internet Explorer dom?

    My personal navigation device (GPS) generates xml files that contain a record of where I have been, together with when I was there, how fast I was driving at the time, etc. taken at approx. 5 second intervals. This xml file has an xml-stylesheet with type="text/xsl" but that stylesheet is written to the Internet Explorer dom standard. The stylesheet interfaces with google maps to display a map that shows my path and it also displays tables of data including distances that are computed from latitude/longitude pairs. I can supply a small sample xml file and the xsl file as well if they are needed to diagnose my problem. I cannot find any browser other than Internet Explorer that handles these files satisfactorily. I prefer to process them from a Linux environment but with the Internet Explorer requirement I cannot do so. The browsers that I have tried and that have failed are Firefox, Opera, Konqueror, Chrome, Epiphany, Midori, Arora, and Links.
    One line in the xls file in particular gives grief in the browsers like Firefox that at least attempt to do more than display the raw xml file:
    xmlns:cymath="urn:smiletime-cybarber-net:math"
    A comment in the xls file says this about the problem:
    "Tested and currently only compatible with Internet Explorer version 6 or version 7 (as this script includes JScript functions called by XSL, msxsl:script extension is required; also, the produced XHTML document embeds javascript functions exploiting the IE DOM).
    "In order to provide compatibility with Firefox, other than checking the compatibility of the IE DOM, the cymath:distCosineLaw function still needs to be ported."

    You may get an answer, but it is not really the sort of subject covered by this forum, I suggest you try [http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=49 Mozilazine] and if you solve the problem post back again.

  • Problem with import tag in xsl files and include in xsd files

    Hello,
    I've been developing an application using JBoss as server. Then, i created an especific path for xsd and another path for xsl files. In both cases, i created a main file that include (xsd) or import (xsl) the other files. My problem is that i have to specify the exactly path where the imported xsl or the included xsd files are, even though they are in the same path as the main file. What i want to know is how i say that the other xsd and xsl files are in the same path that the main file that is importing them?
    here's an example of my import and include declarations:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
         xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
         <xsl:import href="../server/jboss/deploy/application.ear/pack.jar/xsl/transformer1.xsl"/>
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
              elementFormDefault="qualified">
         <xsd:include schemaLocation="../server/jboss/deploy/application.ear/pack.jar/xsd/schema1.xsd"/>
    thanks for your help

    yes, thats not the value returned of
    URL url = this.getClass().
                        getResource("/xsl//transformer.xsl");the expression i posted is an string i'm using to test.... but i think it's not incorrect, because if the files i'm trying to open are not in the path, he throws the following exception:

  • How can i include the file, not xsl file, to xsl ?

    Hi,
    I would like to include a file called 'head.inc' to xsl. How can i do that ?
    the content of the head.inc is simple, just a part of the html code.
    say:
    <html>
    <head></head>
    <body>
    i can't use <xsl:import /> or <xsl:include />, which tag i can ??
    Thx a lot !

    You could use the document() function to access it. But it would have to be a valid XML file, XSL doesn't allow you to risk including a fragment that might cause the result to be invalid XML. Which could happen with your example. Remember that XML and XSL work with elements, not with tags.

  • XSL file include problem.

    Hi Friends,
    We are facing problem while include our file inside XSL.
    we have code like below
    <xsl:for-each select="givingLanding/briefPageInclude">
                                  <xsl:variable name="pageUrl" select="pageUrl" />
                                       <xsl:choose>
                                            <xsl:when test="not($pageUrl = '') ">
                                                 <!-- <xi:include href="{$pageUrl}"/> -->
                                                 <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><#include file="</xsl:text>
                                                 <xsl:value-of disable-output-escaping="yes" select="pageUrl" />
                                                 <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">"></xsl:text>
                                            </xsl:when>
                                       </xsl:choose>
                             </xsl:for-each>Here we tried two ways two attach file but none of them attach the given file. ( here it will render XSL --> XHTML output)
    Can anybody have idea how to include file ? ( in such loop structure)
    Thanks

    It's a little hard to quess what you're trying to do based on the XSLT you posted.
    You can't xsl:include a document whose URL is determined at run time in XSLT. The normal pattern is to generate the stylesheet using XSLT to insert the path, then apply that generated stylesheet.
    In XSLT2 you can fetch a document whose URL is determined at run time, and operate on that, if that's what you're trying to do. See the [document function|http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#document]
    XSLT questions are better asked on the [Mulberry XSL list |http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list/].

  • Export of BPEL process :  ?oracle-xsl-mapper? is missing from XSL file

    Hi,
    I am trying to export a BPEL process from Enterprise Manager 11g console (version:11.1.1.2.0). After exporting, i dont see the tag <?oracle-xsl-mapper?> inside xsl/*.xsl files.Because of this i couldnt open the transformation from Jdeveloper.Is any one faced this issue.Is there any workaround for this.
    thanks,
    ashok

    Most of the deploy files are also BPEL Unix server. Login to BPEL Unix server and looking for deploy files /apps1/u10/BPEL/bpel/domains/default/tmp. Identify the .xsl file and replace in it your Jdevelper work folder.

    HI,
    try in the following ways
    Write a simple XSLT mapping or java mapping to change the value of the attribute "encoding" to "ISO-8859-1" in the output XML of message mapping . Include this XSLT or Java map as the second mapping step in your interface mapping.
    An example of the XSL code might be as follow:
    <?xml version='1.0'?>
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method='xml' encoding='ISO-8859-1' />

  • Using multiple XSL files parsing a XML file

    Hi,
    Can a single XML be procesed by a XSL file in which are included many XSL stylesheet?
    I mean, my Java servlet writes the results of the SQL
    queries in a single XML document. Something like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <body>
    <!-- Part 1 -->
    <record>
    <nombre>Monica</nombre>
    <apellido1>Amann</apellido1>
    <apellido2>Ostos</apellido2>
    </record>
    <!-- Part 2 -->
    <record>
    <domicilio>Rodriguez Arias</domicilio>
    <numero>41</numero>
    <piso>5</piso>
    </record>
    <!-- Part 3 -->

    <nombre>Ana</nombre>
    <apellido1>Garcia</apellido1>
    <apellido2>Ostos</apellido2>

    <numero>41</numero>
    <piso>5</piso>
    <mano>Decha</mano>
    </record>
    </body>
    I want to be able to apply a particular stylesheet into diferent part of the XML file.
    I mean, i have a XSL (father), in which are included various XSL. My problem is that
    i can apply the bloque1.xsl to process part1 in the xml, and bloque2.xsl to process
    part2 in the xml and the same with the thrid.
    This is my XSL (father), but i don't know whats the way to do it. And i dont konw if
    it's possible to do it.

  • How do I replace bookmark bar that was lost when a new Mozilla Fox Start page suddenly appeared with a Zone Alarm Community Toolbar, and nothing I have so far tried, working with "Show all Bookmarks", works ("Unable to process the backup file).

    My current version is 6.0.2. A box appeared a few days ago informing me of an update to 7 (x?). I declined for the time being.
    Then a Start Page just showed up missing the bookmark tool bar. I tried to import a bar from another browser. Nothing showed up. Then, I went to "Help". First, I clicked on "About Firefox" where I was informed of an update. This time, I tried it. When I clicked on "Apply Update", I received a message; 'Update could not be installed" despite there being no other Firefox browsers running.
    I went back to "Help" and clicked on "Firefox Help". A page came up with the URL in place, but the page would not load ("Cannot find server at support.mozilla.com"). After several clicks on "Try Again" with the same result, I copied the URL and pasted it into a different browser, from which I am now working.
    Before sending this question, I tried the two procedures ("Manual Backup" and "Restoring From Backup") found on Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks/Import And Backup/Restore, using both "stored backups" from Mozilla's Profile folder and "Choose a file", as well as Bookmarks/Show ... /Backup. In each case, the response was, "Unable to process the backup file".
    I had previously tried another method I found on Google which involved copying and saving a Mozilla backup file (this is the file I used in the procedure above - "Choose a File") found in the C:/Documents And Settings/.../Profile Folder, then renaming the original file "backup.HTML" and saving it in a folder one level up from its original location. The Bookmark bar was to show up after shutting down and reopening Mozilla - it never happened. I replaced the original backup file.
    It occurred to me to locate the Bookmark File for this browser (Chrome) and using it in the "Choose a File" method, referred to above. But there is no extension included in the file name, and I was afraid to try it.
    I'm out of ideas. Is there something else to try?

    Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
    If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
    Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
    * Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button

    I've just finished with my "Contact Us form" for my website and have some issues with running it. I have a .shtml file http://mydomain.com/contact-us.shtml in wich I'd like to include a contact us form file http://mydomain.com/includes/ContactUs.php. Now, having my web page "contact-us" as a *.shtml file with ContactUs.php file included, I can run the form but I can't send any emails.  If I would change contact-us.shtml in contact-us.php the form runs perfect but, I can't use other includes on that file as logo, header, footer etc. How could I include an .php file in a .shtml file and runing both the included .php script and includes themself?
    Thank You!

    Keep it simple.
    Your html file uses syntax like "<!--#include file=".header" -->" to include an SSI file. Your server requires either (1) that the html file have the .shtml extension or (2) you twiddle with an .htaccess file to cause the server to parse ALL html files for SSIs. The latter is generally not a good idea.
    PHP files are already processed on the server. You include SSI files the same way, but the syntax is a little different: "<?php include (".header"); ?> ".
