Process Order Schedule Finish date before Schedule Start date

On rare occasions, the process order Schedule Finish date is before the Schedule Start date. This causes an error on the APO system when the process order is CIF to APO. Does anyone have any ideas how this occur?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Sandy

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
Thank you for your help,
Greg

• Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date

Folks,
I have a requirement from the business to be able to update the Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date independently from each other.
In other words, update the Basic Finish Date and the Scheduled Finish Date cannot change or update the Scheduled Finish Date and the Basic Finish Date cannot change.
I believe the reason for this is to be able to use the Basic Date to maintain the ATP accurately and keep the Scheduled Date to mark when the order was originally due from the shop floor to be able to measure if orders are being completed on time or late.
I have worked in tnx OPUZ and had some success with other issues with these dates but I can't seem to make them work independently from each other.
Or does anyone have any ideas how to measure proces order performance to the production schedule?
Thank you for your help,

• The end date entered occurs before the start date

Error when setting outlook2010 OK =>
"The end date entered occurs before the start date "

Hi,
Just like <Dinae> said above, this behavior occurs because Outlook does not allow you to define a calendar work day that spans midnight.
As a supplement, please refer to this KB article:

• "The end date can't be set to occur before the start date" issue

I have a subscribed calendar that draws from data in a Filemaker database. In all of these records, the start date & end date are the same. When I try to refresh the description, it fails with a "NSCocoaErrorDomain / error 1560" error, and the console log shows "The end date can't be set to occur before the start date."
Well, it doesn't occur before the start date. It's the same as the start date. I can work around this by setting my Filemaker database to add a day to the end date, but that's a clunky solution.
Anyone else run into anything like this?
(iCal 4.0.3 and OS X 10.6.4, btw)

It may not be the same problem, but the message was the same (end date...etc). I tore my hair out at the time trying to solve it. It was on my fathers computer. Everything appeared to be correct and consistent. What solved it was logging into MobileMe/account/personal info/time zone, where I found the time zone was wrong. I can't remember the detail now but at the time it seemed like a third place where time had to be correct. Worth your checking there anyway.

• Inventory: Movement after count with post date before the count date.

Hi,
We have stock movements all the days of the week.
We conduct physical inventories on Sunday mornings. There are not stock movements on Sunday mornings (stock movements on Sunday starts at night).
Usually we create the SAP Physical Inventory Document on Fridays, assigning Saturday as the Planned Count Date.
We enter the SAP Physical Inventory Count on Sunday (at the end of the count) or on Monday.
How you recommend us to use SAPu2019s Physical Inventory feature in order to calculate the Book Inventory considering all stock movements with posting date less than or equal to Saturday?
Please, suggest us a solution that If we register a movement after we enter the count but with post date before the count date (and the count is not posted yet), the Book inventory is modified accordingly.
Thanks in advance for your support!!

SAP takes the book inventory in the moment you enter the count.
Best you set block movements , this block will be removed automatically when you enter the count. So you can prevent users from posting until you have entered the count.
If you set the freeze book inventory, then SAP takes the book inventory in the moment you create the document.
This is not a good way if you still have movements after inventory document creation and actual count.
You have to make sure - organisational wise, outside SAP - that all movements that happened before inventory count are posted before you start entering the count. There is nothing in SAP that can help you in this case.

• How to disable selection of End Date depending on start Date.

You can always check UI5 core files and extend it. FYI, most of UI5 calendars are based on "MobileScroll" UI library, e.g.
DateTimeInput - Mobiscroll - Demos and Examples - Date &amp; Time - Date with min and max
DatePicker - Mobiscroll 2.15.1 Documentation - Calendar
Below you can find few extension examples:
sap.m.DateTimeInput extend- JS Bin - Collaborative JavaScript Debugging</title> <link rel="alternate" type="application/jso…
sap.m.DatePicker extend -> JS Bin - Collaborative JavaScript Debugging</title>  <link rel="alternate" type="application/jso…

• BAPI PROCESS ORDER Creation u2013 can the SCHEDULE Date/Time be specified?

I am currently using BAPI_PROCORD_CREATE to create a Process Order from an inbound IDOC. This works well, when I pass the following fields:
BAPI Parameter ORDERDATA
ORDER_NUMBER Process Order number (EXTERNAL)
MATERIAL Material to be produced
PLANT Plant
ORDER_TYPE Order Type
BASIC_START_DATE Start Date
BASIC_START_TIME Start Time
BASIC_END_DATE Basic End Date
BASIC_END_TIME Basic End Time
QUANTITY Process Order Quantity
QUANTITY_UOM Quantity Unit of Measure
However, I have a requirement to also specify the SCHEDULED Start Date (GSTRS) and End Dates (GLTRS), but the BAPI parameters do not the SCHEDULE Dates to be specified.
I have also used the functions CLOI_CHANGES_UPL_31 and CLOI_CHANGES_UPL_45 to create Process Orders successfully, but neither of these allow for the SCHEDULE dates to be passed in.
Does anyone know how I might be able to achieve such a result?
I am trying to avoid the use of CALL TRANSACTION on COR1, so would be grateful if anyone has any thoughts.
In the mean time, Iu2019ll ask the business if it would be possible to apply any rules by whereby if we specified a BASIC_START_DATE, whether it would be able to derive the correct schedule date accordingly.
PPu2019s not one of my better modules, so apologies if whatu2019s been asked above is a stupid question!
Alistair

HI...
Pls chk in scheduling control for detailed scheduling in T code OPUZ. and change the scheduling type forwards to forwards in time and backwards to backwards in time.
Now when ever you would create the order system would ask the scheduling dates either start or finish in stead of Basic dates.
Instead of using BAPI you could make a simple LSMW pogram. It would talk 5 min.
This is a standard SAP functionality to select Basic dates because SAP consider all master data for scheduling like Schedule margin key.
I think It would help you.

• Help scheduling tasks from both project start date and from later deliverable dates

I am trying to set up a project scheduling template for a number of similar projects.
These projects will require initial work to be completed at the project start date, working through the critical path to an end date.
However. Certain milestones/deliverables are required on specific dates in teh project (they are recievable by internal customers on firm dates). I am having trouble scheduling my predecessors for these deliverables to occur as late as possible.
I.e. I want my procurement to start x-weeks (depending on the task) before the deliverable is due.
Trying to manually set the deliverable date and hoping project will work back and adjust the predecessors to fit isnt quite working... is this possible?
Im using MSP2010 standard

nategalambos,
Actually this is probably a very common scheduling scenario. Schedules often have interim milestones, sometimes with fixed dates.
Just-in-time scheduling has received a fair amount of press in the past but in my view it has some very real negative downsides. I believe the best plans have contingency built in to allow for unknown problems. For example, let's say you have a task that
must deliver an item on a particular date and in order to build that item you need to order material. You know the built and test time, it's all done by machine, takes 10 days, and doesn't vary from item to item. The lead time for the material is 6 weeks,
so you set up the schedule to place the material order 8 weeks before the delivery date. However, there is a problem, the vendor who supplies the material has a problem at his factory and the material is delayed such that it won't be delivered in 6 weeks but
instead it will take 8 weeks. Because you have not allowed for contingency in your plan, your delivery date is now in jeopardy.
But to answer your question, one way to set up the predecessor you want is as follows. Using my example above, the Place Order task, let's say the delivery date task is task ID 5 and is a milestone. The place order task could have a predecessor of 5SF-40d,
or 5FS-40d will also work if the place order task and the delivery date are both milestones.
Hope this helps.

• Can i pre-order the galaxy s6 before my upgrade date?

I want to pre-order the Galaxy S6 but my upgrade date is after the pre-order date. I am able to pre-order it before my date and get the price of a new 2 year contract? The devices ship on the April,10th,2015 and pre-orders start on the first, but my upgrade is the 6th. Basically I am asking if I can pre-order and take advantage of the new contract price or if I should just pre-order when my upgrade date arrives.

You can upgrade 7 days prior to your upgrade date so you will be able to pre-order it on the 1st.

• Report Completion date and Report start date in BI Publisher

Guys
We have a requirement to get the Report Completion date and start date without Scheduling the report. Can any one give me an idea to get in the BIP Reports
Regards

What is the requirement ?
When the user run report from BIP EE, you want to display how long the report run ?
or
Where you want to display these info >?
If you expecting these info, on click of viewbutton then i dont think it is possible, unless you write the query to fetch the time and in the template processing, subtract that from the current sys-time to get the time it took to run.
if you can schedule then
Simplest would be is , taking these info from the tables, directly for the report you are running.
or
use Public WS provided by BIP to get the report info
but in order to get these, first of all the reports should be run in scheduled mode.
if you don't want the report to be scheduled then, i don't think, you can get these kind of report completion status info.
otherwise , you can run the query by yourself to get the data and the time it took to complete from database and do some sort of custom calculation by urself

• Block GR if GR date before the delivery date in the PO

Dear all,
A key-user would like to avoid goods receipts to be posted if the date of the goods receipts is before the delivery date in the PO. The key-user wants to refuse systematically delivery from the supplier which is sooner than the delivery date in the PO.
For example, in the PO, the delivery date is August 7th 2010. To make a GR for this PO, the user uses MIGO, inputs the PO. As today is August 5th 2010, the GR should not be accepted by the system. How to customize that?
Another solution is to display the delivery date of the PO in MIGO so that the storehouse person can check directly the date of the delivery in the PO. That way, this person can check by itself whether the GR should be done or not.
Thanks a lot.
Olivier

Hi
This is standard SAP Customization. You an set message as Warning or Error message .
The customization path is MM-Purchasing-Environment Data-Define attributes of system messages.
Please let me know if it helps.

You need to bring data in required format. As I remember you can configured it in one of the AD configuration lookup.

• Calculate end date from inputs : start date and number of months

Hello Experts,
I have a start date and number of months from which i need to calculate the end date.
For Eg: start date = 03-12-2008
no. of months = 48
Ans: end date = 03-12-2012
Please help me.

requirement is no different from what is stated in the previous thread.
To elaborate further, I'm looking for some Function Module or some relevant alternative to calculate the future date.
Future date is calculated using a start date input and No. of months.
As stated in the example in my previous thread.
For eg:
Inputs to FM : Start date : 03-12-2008
No. Of months : 48 months
Output from FM: Future Date : 03-12-2012
Looking forward for your reply.
