Product Info in the Catalog & Basket Missing???

We are trying to be able to view the product weight, volume, multiple unit of measures, etc. within the product catalog and the shopping basket in CRM 4.0 B2B E-commerce. We can see the standard unit of measure and pricing, but we can't see the other standard fields, such as weight and volume. How do we allow for these fields to be seen? Is there a BADI that can be called, do we use attribute sets and replicate the data, etc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi ,
It is possible to fetch the values from the BADI
CRM_ISA_BASKET_ITEMS.
All you need is to implement this BADI and use its method to get the values.
Further in JSP use item.getExtensionData()

Boot into the bios (computer setup) and look on the main screen for the product information. It should look similar to the below image depending on the bios version.
Is the information for your laptop as complete compared to the above image? If not, which fields are missing?

How to show product info in the Service Request Detail layout

I want to add product in the Service Request Detail , but can't not find the place to do that , is that possible in R16?

In the service request layout (step 3) you can bring in a field called "Product" which will allow you to pick a product.

It is very important that you post the product name or product number of your notebook and the version of the installed BIOS here in your thread.
How to identify your notebook.
Remove the battery and look in the compartment where the battery was installed. You should see a printed part number and a product name. Please post one or both of them (with all alphanumeric characters here).
It also helps if you post the country of purchase

Multiple info records for the same material record in the catalog

Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
Systems:
SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
ECC 6.0
SRM-MDM 2.0
PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?

How to make the product-info-textfields tidy?

I am solving one problem, but it results to several questions (set in bold):
I am about to create a product catalog, based on design createdy by someone else. There are product cells on the page. Each cell contains image & info, as usual. This is one example of the cell:

It seems to me as one huge mess. The file was prepared by hyper-professional-looking-studio. They used separated textfields for each chunk of information. I expected something more elegant — one or two textfields with precise paragraph spacing and of course with paragraph rules. I would like to ask you: Is this approach considered as industry standard? What if client will ask for increasing the fontsize?…

I tried to make it more tidy. So I decided to use as little textfields as possible. But I am clueless now. I want to recast all these tree textfields…

I tried to increase the number of columns from 1 to 2, I was playing with the Text Frame Options, but no chance to manage it.

If you see the product-cell: Which is, in your opinion, the minimal amount of textfields to fit all this text? I assume, that the „M“ and S—XXL have to land in separate textfield. Or could all the text be in one textfield?

If I wasn't using a catalog plug-in...
I would make a page layout with separate text frames (with placeholder text), the size labels and an empty image frame for the product, and select everything and drag the layout into the library panel. I would do that for the basic variations. Then when I added a page, drag the type of library item onto the page and change the text, add the image and move to the next page.

Edit to add. You can move the one block of text up using baseline shift. But that much shift makes it difficult to select/edit the text. The screen shot shows a massive amount (65 pts if I recall). The black is actually the selected text that appears above due to baseline shift. In short, your flying blind on editing text unless you use the story editor.

Product not appearing in the catalog

Hi, I am new user of Business Catalyst. We use the e-commerce function to sell publications through our website and I have been trying to upload new products to our site and publish them in a particular catalog (actually the only catalog we have). This was all set up by another user and so I am coming to it already set up and functioning (theoretically). I have set up my new items and they appear in the product list. I have moved the catalog from left to right in the catalogs section. The products are "enabled". Am I missing a step?

From a set type you can assign a Product type from the maintain set type only. And for the error just check with the Basis People whether the system is under going any SP upgrades or not.
I am able to create a Set Type using the specific product type. When I am trying to save the same not assigning product type it is giving me the error 'Not Possible to save the set type without attribute'.

Why is product info missing on startup?

I have a Presario CQ61 and it has windows home 7 when I turn on my laptop I get an error message saying my product info isnt valid or missing such as the name, configuration, serial number, and number. How do I restore this info upon startup?

Backup catalogs wouldn't have helped with this problem anyway, but naturally, you shouldn't delete backup catalogs for a while.

Files are missing in the Catalog Folders

I have upgreaded to Elements 10 and when doing the catalog conversion many of the folders in the new catalog are missing the files(photos). When I right-click on those folders and try to add the files I can see the missing files attempting to transfer but on completion I receive this: :The files or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this folder"-BUT-the files are NOt in the folder in the catalog. They are in the folder on my computer as I am able to access them easily--They simply did not end up in the catalog's respective folders. I am using Windows XP Pro and all my Folders and Files are on an external drive and are saved there when I download the photos from my camera. I have not had this issue before--How might I get these files into the folder in the catalog?-I tried setting up a new catalog and attempted to convert again with the same results-Please advise-Thanks in advance

Switch your Organizer's Display to use "Thumbnail View" and you should see your photos. The "Folder Location View" does not show photos if they're in subfolders of the selected folder.

when i publish my site and vew it the page on the web it just comes up with the file name w/ the ,swf and the "mising plug-in" message below. if i click on the file name it displays the flash file but gigantic (the entire height of the page).totally perplexed!

How do you load products into the catalog?

Instead of using the automatic or manual load processes by hand for the product catalog, we would like to have a batch program written where it will automatically load products into the specific levels of the catalog. Does anyone know if there is a standard program in CRM to accomplish this?

Hi Darcie,
No, as far as I know there's no load standard load program for CRM product catalog data. We're on v4.0, so I can't say what's been added in later releases.
Anyway, if you write your own, have a look at package COM_PRDCAT_WEB_API which contains lots of goodie function modules you can use to manipulate product catalog data.
Dont forget
CALL FUNCTION 'COM_PRDCAT_TRANSACTION_BEGIN'
at the start and
CALL FUNCTION 'COM_PRDCAT_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'
at the end.
There's also package COM_PRDCAT, but when we tried to do stuff with FMs in this package we ran into errors since some global variables were undefined.
