Production in other plant for finish and semifinish

Hi Friends,
We have following scenario:
i)    Finish Product FP1 and Semifinish Product SF1 exist in both Plant X and Y.
ii)   BOM for FP1 consists of SF1.
iii)  SF1 is produced in Plant X and FP1 in Plant Y.
iv)  Planning plant for FP1 is X.
v)   I have tried with special procurement key 'production in other plant'.
vi)  SF1 is produced in Plant X and GR done directly to plant Y for consumpton to FP1.
vii) FP1 is produced in plant Y and GR done directly to plant X.
Here instead of doing GR  directlyto the consuming plant the client wants to do Stock Transport for both SF1 and FP1.Please suggest any method to achieve this.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
For Halb: DepReq in receiving plant and no receipt elements in prouducing plant.
I am expecting also for Halb: Purchase Requisition in recieving plant(Y) and a planned order in producing plant(X) just like Fert.
You stated you have DepReq for SFG in PlantY (receiving plant), nut MRP did not generate prourement proposal (PurReq) for it.
In this case you should check the planning situation (e.g. whether you have sufficient stock to cover the requirement). If the procurement proposal is missing and this do not originate from the planning situation (e.g. stock level, stock like elements(STO, existing PurReq, etc.)), you should check your master data settings (e.g. MRP type) - if your master data settings are proper, MRP should generate procurement proposal (please be aware that in case of "VB" MRP type system watches the so called reorder point!).
So, second MRP run should generate the mentioned PurReq for SFG (in PlantY) and at this moment you should get requierement in PlantX (that produces SFG). Third MRP run would generate procurement proposal (PldOrd) in PlantX.
Please check master data (BOM, material master) settings of SFG.

Csaba

  • Purchase and sales flow resulting from 'production in other plant'.

    Dear all,
When using the procurement type 'P' (production in other plant), materials are consumed in plant A and goods receipts from production order happens in plant B.
When plants A and B belong to different company codes, SAP generates a cross-company document. Within the receiving company, the offsetting account for the stock account is the cross-company clearing account.
This posting is generally not sufficient as legal and tax requirements ask for a sales and purchasing flow between the 2 company codes. Therefore many companies need to 'develop a solution' to complete this posting 'after the facts'.
Does anybody know whether this additional posting exists under the form of an 'add-on' or additional solution to the standard made available by one or another partner of SAP ? Note that the starting point for this question is important : our company wants to use the 'production in other plant' flow because the native purchase and sales flows are too much time consuming.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi all,
I want to be a bit more accurate here :
The produced material in plant B has a special procurement type code (MARC-SOBSL) which in its definition contains procurement type E (BESKZ) and special procurement P (ESOBS). It is special procurement P that triggers the 'production in other plant' behaviour. The production plant (WRK02) is also specified in the definition of the special procurement type code.
    Kind regards.

  • Production in other plant, Sloc determination for prod. order

    Experts,
we are using production in other plant. Demand in plant A, Router & BOM in plant B. Mfg. should be done in plant B. The components in plant B are Prod.stor.location 0003 (MRP 2 View).
If I create a production order the system always uses Stor.Loc 0001 in component overview and for with draw material.
My expectation was that system uses Sloc out of MM of plant B. What might be the reason for that behaviour ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Jörg
Even if I put Stor.loc 0003 in BOM line Item system goes with 0001 in prod.order.

    JORG,
I am assuming you have raw materials in plant B. In the BOM of material in plant B, maintain storage location as 0003 for all line items and do read PP master data for the production order on current date so that correct storage location is picked up.
Also check if production versions are maintained and what is the issue storage lcoation maintained in production version?
    check and revert,

  • WHY FREE ITUNES PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY FOR USA AND NOT FOR OTHER USERS OUTSIDE USA

I am so impressed wit the welcome page saying "Join the conversation. Share tips and solutions with fellow Apple product users from all around the world."
Apple mentioned for their products users around the world but many of their free itunes products are available only for USA and not for the users from the other side of the globe?
Is this Apple a fair and customer oriented company or full of bias and Only money oriented company.
If apple could not make thier other FREE stuffs available outside US territory then better for thsi company to just sell their products in USA. its just so disgusting...  If we need a certain apps (FREE APPS) available only for US based users.
If you think US users and other country users are paying the same prices for their iPad 3G/4G WIFI 64GB and iPhone 3G/4G 64 GB like hat I did having the 2 gadgets altogether but my investment ends to disgusting as the apple company cound not treat people equal then.....  I want to return all this **** stuffs

  • MAP for Finished and Semi Finished goods

    Dear Friends,
    Please let me know;
    1. If Finished and Semi finsihed goods are maintained with price indicator 'S' and all are inhouse production then SAP updata moving average price or these material or not ?
    2. If SAP updata MAP for finished and semi-finished,  later can we change map manually or not ? if yes How ?
    3. Is there any way to stop updata of map by sap in case of finsihed and semifinished goods.
Actually according to my product costing variant, I dont need any price in map of FG and SFG. Kindly give me your expert openion on this issue.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi
    1. If you maintain price control S for inhouse produced finished product also, system updates moving average price with resepect stock and value of production (may be period wise production cost may be varying). But this is statistical.
    2. You can change price control from S to V if you require. You need to change first in material type and then change in material master.
    3. If the value is getting updated also it will have no impact. In case of product cost variant also it will get updated.
    Thanks

  • Statment for WIP and Semifinished materials

    Hi,
I want statement for WIP and semifinished materials during specific period,
can somene help me with the Tcode?
    Thanks

    Hi
What do you mean by WIP?
Have you created any Storage location as WIP?
you must be issuing the material to production / production line, which storage location you are issuing? treat that as a WIP.
as long as finished product is not decleared, you can treat the stock at that particular st location as WIP.
once product is declared, you stocks are going to reduce from that particular st location.
    in other wards,
from which st location, you material is getting backflushed, treat that as a WIP.
take a stock via MB5B for that particular st location
    Hope this help you

  • Production at other plant

I have created sales order for material X. In Material BOm of X there is material y with special procurement 80 ( production from other plant ) in line item of Bom.
When I do MRP MD01 in first plant  then system does not create planned order for material y in other plant.
But when i do MD50 then system creates planned order in other plant.
Also when production is completed in other plant for material Y then it does not built stock in First plant but it creates sales order stock in other plant.

    Mayuresh,
Sorry for the very late reply. I do not think you need to built stock of Y in the first plant. You can just do good issue of Y (in stock in 2nd plant) to the production order of X (the first plant).
If you need to have stock of Y in first plant then you will need to manually do a plant to plant transfer posting goods movement.
Hope this helps. If you have additional questions please come back.
    Thanks,
    Ram

  • Delivery the product from other plant directly

    hi
we have 2 companies A, B. Company A receive order and give Company B to production, then Company B directly ship to customer. We are using deliviery plant for this scenario. However, sometimes the production will via Company A, then Company A delivery the product to customer. In this case, using delivery plant is not a good way. As the product require to stay in Company A for few days. any suggestion in this case? thanks

Looks like its a stright forward Inter company transactions.
in the first case it is a intercompany sale where company A receives the order and you change the Delivering plant to company B's Plant so that the delivery is triggered from company B.
in the second case, you trigger a  Inter company Plant to Plant  stock transfer requistion from Company A to company B , and there by the stock comes to A and from comp A you can ship to to the customer.

  • Multiple Plants for Material and customer

    Hi,
I have downloaded the Plants from the R/3 to CRM using DNL_PLANT object. The BP with Role 'PLANT' are created.
we  have multiples plants for the same material,
I have downloaded the material master data, but in COMMPR01, the field DELIVERING LOC. is empty. Is that correct? How the system works with multiples plants.
    What I can do?
    Best regards
    Lidisaid

    Hi Lidisaid,
Ideally, the field Delivery location must get populated. Just ensure that the followig settings have been maintained.
    1. Adapter Object MATERIAL
    Tcode: R3AC1
Choose the tab Tables/Structures Within Object
    Add tables MARC and MARC_KEY
Please also check that MARC_KEY that the field Inactive is not flagged for this entry.(This is needed to download the PLANT information as   interlinkages to CRM Online in the table COMM_IL_PRDLOC.)
The plant information is seen in the Sales & Distribution tab of the product master by double clicking on the Distribution Chain.
    2. Add Relationship type PRDLOCS- LOCATION OF PRODUCTS
    Tcode: COMM_HIERARCHY
Check if the corresponding Material Categories for which the PLANT information is to be downloaded has the interlinkage type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS maintained in the RELSHIP types for the products categories that are to be downloaded to CRM from R/3.
    Note:
If no relationship types are assigned to the product category, the PLANT information will be downloaded to the interlinkage table COMM_IL_PRDLOC. But even if a single RELSHIP entry is maintained then additionally the RELSHIP type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS also have to be maintained. E.g. MAT_FERT
    Wish this helps.

  • Product Import Never Notifies When Finished and Successful

For over a year now it seems BC never notifies when a product import has successfully completed, if you are importing more than a couple hundred records. This happens whether you use IE, Firefox, or Chrome in Windows, and it happens in the many different BC sites I import products into.
The import begins and the loading spinner appears, but it stays stuck on this forever and never goes to the screen to tell you the import is done. You therefore have no way to know if the import finishes correctly or not. It's frustrating because if you abort the import screen too early you harm the import, so you have to wait forever to be sure you've allowed enough time for it to complete.
After you abort, the only method to know if it worked is in your last record of the import file, have some changed info that you can later lookup in BC Admin to see if it transferred.
Presenlty if I try to import more than 500 records at a time it will always fail.

Had to import 42,000 products. Found I can split the CSV or TXT file into pieces using a free program like GSplit into 2000 record subfiles and import those OK. While there is no notification from BC when the import is done running, testing shows that it takes a little less than 25 minutes for BC to import 2000 products, so after that time I can kill the never-ending BC job, then check in BC product search to verify if the last product in my import file has in fact been imported without error.
Took more than 11 hours to complete the import this way.
Looking forward to the release of the new BC import/export software as soon as possible...

  • Finish and semifinish at moving average price

    hello
I recently join a client, client set Finish and Semi finish material at moving average price. Normally in my last experience Semi and finish material at standard price. Through cost estimate we update standard price.
    q. 1 ; what will be benefit of standard price calculation bcoz material are on moving average price.
    q. 2 ; If we create a cost collect for a product, do u think we need to create process order.
    regards
    sapian

    OK
we have created a product cost collector and then created an process order, confirmation made on process order.
when i check COR3 system do'nt show any plan cost on said order.
Can u explain step wise activity in case of Product cost collector from A to Z
    regards

  • Are there other options for renting and downloading movies?

I have watched movies downloaded from Apple a couple of time, but I really don't like the iTunes interface - my main complaint is that there is no way to filter movies so that I can quickly scan for rentals.
I rarely watch any movie more than one time, so I have no interest in buying a movie - I only want to rent, and it is a huge waste of time to hunt through iTunes movies one by one to see if I can rent it or not.  It just not worth my time.
I don't know if Apple plans to fix this shortcoming or not, but until then, are there other options for downloading rental movies to watch on my MacBook Pro or my iPad?  Online streaming is fine, and I use Netflix and others for that, but I would like to get movies to watch on airplanes and other places where I don't have an internet connection.
    Thanks

Try NFS. SMB is for connecting to Windows servers.

  • Production in other plant

    Hi All,
    I have the following scenario,
Sales Order is raised in the distribution plant and saved, This  leads to the stock transfer purchase requisition to the manufacturing plant, simultaneously the requirement is triggered in the produciton plant.
Later the purchase requisitions are converted into PR.
In this scenario the sales order delivery date is calculated as per the planed delivery time days(20) of the distribution plant, but where as production plant takes 60 days
This is wrong as the actual production taken is 60 days and gives a wrong commitment to the customer and so is the stock transfer purchase order delivery date, but the commited date field shows as per ther 60 days time
We need to calculate the sales order as per the times of production plant.
    There is also planning fence time maintained;
    Is there a way that we can correct this situataion, if a solution exists what are the other implications;

    Hi,
There are 2 ways by which this can be handled.
    1. You know that the material will be produced by a plant other than the distribution plant. However in sales order, we should maintain the plant which manufactures the material. Hence ideally in this scenario, the plant should be the production plant at the item level.  Else, during availability check and delivery/transportation scheduling, you have to make use of the relevant user exit to change the plant to production plant if the plant at the item level is a distribution plant. You can map the distribution plant and the respective production plant in a Z table and you can decide ur production plant based on this logic.
    2. The second way is to take care of the total scheduling lead time in the material master data of the distribution plant itself. i.e. In this case, for the distribution plant master data, the lead time shoudl be maintained as 20+60 = 80 days.

  • Issue Return stock to other plant for repair

    Hi All,
I have customer return stock in one plant A returned through return sales delivery. after PGR, the return stock is raised by that quantity in that plant A. now, I want to transfer this material to another plant R where the repair will take place on that material. is it possible to do this without converting this stock to un-restricted?  It should be issued and received as Blocked or Return stock only in the receiving plant.
I tried transfer posting with movement type 455 and it does this but there within a single transaction, issue and receipt takes place which is not acceptable to client. minimum two transaction of actual goods issue and goods receipt are required so that the stock in transit is traceable. let me know if this is possible.
I have already gone through number of threads but could not resolve it. OSS note 430074 and 489543 as well.
    Thanks,
    Binita

    Hi There
We can have the work around through minor enhancement, for this have to create the Locations(Say R* in both the plants, STO- Order type ZUB, Prod Order Type-ZRM) and these locations, you can make is as a not relevant to MRP through config,, So that these stock will not be considered for the MRP/Availability check,,
And can have the restriction that Transfer shd happen between R* location (R* to non R* Error, However it is you can have one golden loc to send the material to any locations- R* or Non R, since once the rework done you have to send to customer) and same applicable for the order/PO doc types (for ZUB/ZRM orders Issue and rec locations shd be from/to R, if non R* through error msg)
Through this you can control the movement of customer returns,, i dont think from Blocked to Blocked you can do STO and receive the materials and process it till send back to the customer,,
The above said process i used in my proj, it was successful, if it is ok for your business you can utilize,,,
    Thanks
