Profile LIMIT=DEFAULT ?
I'm using profiles in the database to prevent to much sessions per user. I have the next situation
1 select resource_name,limit
2 from dba_profiles
3 where profile = 'NEW_PROFILE'
4* order by 1,2
SQL> /
RESOURCE_NAME LIMIT
COMPOSITE_LIMIT DEFAULT
CONNECT_TIME DEFAULT
CPU_PER_CALL DEFAULT
CPU_PER_SESSION DEFAULT
FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS 3
IDLE_TIME DEFAULT
LOGICAL_READS_PER_CALL DEFAULT
LOGICAL_READS_PER_SESSION DEFAULT
PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME DEFAULT
PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME DEFAULT
PASSWORD_LOCK_TIME DEFAULT
RESOURCE_NAME LIMIT
PASSWORD_REUSE_MAX 13
PASSWORD_REUSE_TIME UNLIMITED
PASSWORD_VERIFY_FUNCTION DEFAULT
PRIVATE_SGA DEFAULT
SESSIONS_PER_USER 1
16 rows selected.
A lot of resources have the value DEFAULT
Can somebody tell me what the value is of the DEFAULT's
Default means unlimited for the profile element. In other words, CONNECT_TIME DEFAULT means that you will be able to be connected to the database for all the time that the database can be started.

I just installed 9.0.1 and it continually creates copies of C:\Documents and Settings\Catain Kirk\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\afbrfhnj.default\Cache ... how do I stop it !!!
I'm running Windows XP Version 5.1 SP3.Hi,
That is the disk cache of Firefox, where contents of loaded pages are kept for faster retrieval and it also helps to conserve bandwidth. To disable this: '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Options''' > '''Advanced''' > '''Network''', check (tick) '''Override automatic cache management ''' and put the value at zero.

I have been using CS5 and am about to install CS6. For my two cameras, I set up camera profiles and defaults by ISO in Camera Raw. The defaults include initial noise reduction settings for each ISO. Will these profiles and defaults transfer to CS6? If so, can I assume the noise reduction settings will be comparable? Thanks.
IIRC, all of those settings did transfer when I installed Photoshop CS6. But I installed CS6 first and then removed CS5. This broke the external editor link in Lightroom, forcing me to install Lightroom 4 again to reestablish the link.
It's likely that you will have to redo your default settings anyway using the PV 2012 adjustments because they are quite different in some respects. Noise reduction is improved in the new version, so I think you will probably want to reevaluate your default settings. -
I used the SpyHunter 4 free scan to locate 2 files that were being hijacked by the virus. I was able to remove the first file from the add-on file in Firefox. I know I can uninstall Firefox, then reinstall it, but how can I tell if the virus has damaged other files on my computer? Thank you! I currently use Norton, spybot and adaware. Thanks.
Which files do you see in that folder?
*Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\mxqsa88f.default\searchplugins\
This folder stores user installed search engines and if you haven't installed ones yourself the this folder should be empty and you can remove (delete) existing files.
You can delete the search.json file and possible search-metadata.json and search.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to reset the search engines to the default.
Firefox will rebuild the search.json file from the default search engines in the "browser\searchplugins" folder in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder. -
I am just wondering how I can locate this ~5/20/2011 1:05:09 AM Packed: Swf2Swc C:\Documents and Settings\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\3xe4911x.default\Cache\F\0D\C12DFd01~ what is it and what are profiles...on mozilla I have someone remotly doing things to my computer I didn't sign up for,
1. This is where your main Profile folder is located:
C:\Documents and Settings\myname\'''Application Data'''\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
2. Secondary location:
C:\Documents and Settings\myname\'''Local Settings\Application Data'''\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
No, don't delete that folder or the files in it. Those files would be re-created the next time you open Firefox. Those files are necessary.
3. Firefox put that file there, so it knows its' there. Delete it and Firefox will download that data all over again, and put it back in that folder.
4. Bookmarks are stored in the '''places.sqlite''' file in the main Profile folder, since the Firefox 3 versions.
Some of those files have been moved around from one major version of Firefox to the next to improve various aspects of "performance" and also to minimize file size for automated personal data backup purposes & for roaming Profiles in a large network setting. The urlclassifier file can get to be quite large, which could really screw-up roaming Profiles on a network server. -
updated to FF20.0 Windows 8 64bit up to date
Now I have 4mb ea Caches in
C:|users\lee\AppData\Local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\tfw6yc7z.default\CACHE_1_
C:|users\lee\AppData\Local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\tfw6yc7z.default\CACHE_2_
C:|users\lee\AppData\Local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\tfw6yc7z.default\CACHE_3_
C:|users\lee\AppData\Local\mozilla\firefox\profiles\tfw6yc7z.default\CACHE_MAP_9
I use CCleaner to remove them but when I start Firefox they reappear
Does anyone know what these are?
and what they are for?
ThanksThat looks normal to me. What version did you have before? The layout of the Firefox cache folder changed some time ago so that more files could be accommodated (i.e., to keep performance acceptable because Windows slows down with huge numbers of files in a single directory).

Already asked but at the time did not register to see if any reply forthcoming, so here is the simple question again:
"C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\h4nh7abn.default\prefs.js" keeps coming up on my computer as a malware item even though I have completely uninstalled Firefox.
How can this be?!?
I uninstalled all Firefox remnants with a good uninstaller. Re-booted. I've also run scans, including the JRT scan recommended on another mozilla support page, yet it still keeps coming back as though Firefox is still on my computer, even in relation to the "JRT scan"... This is weird...what to do?
--Avast antivirus, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Hitman Pro, JRT scanner, CCleaner, etc., installed, Vista - 32 bit.Sounds like a false positive.<br />
The prefs.js file only stores modified prefs and no code (data) that can run and be harmful that way.
It is usually best to exclude the Firefox profile folder from scanning to prevent such software from corrupting files in the Firefox profile folder.

Ever time I start Firefox I get an AVG resident shield alert on this file Profiles\\dlmgqhum.default;
I have added to AVG exceptions and tried to(AVG) ignore but still get it ever time I start Firefox....
Can I just delete the folder and all it's files? If you are using AVG 2011, open the AVG program, open the Tools menu, select Advanced Settings. Scroll down the list to Resident Shield and click on it. Make sure Scan for Tracking Cookies is unchecked. Click on Okay. The procedure should be similar for AVG 9.

whenever i try to run internet through mozila the following remarks come on the screen
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/user/Application%20Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/8ylcbvzh.default/extensions/toolbar
pl help me to sort out this problemThe Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
* Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
* Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons -
Setting camera profile as default
Is it possibile in LR 2.2 to set as default the camera calibration profile
"Camera Standard" (the Canon's picture style) instead of "Adobe Standard" ?
thx
SandroTo set a profile as default, you should take an image that is completely standard developed (hit reset for example), then select the profile you want to set as the default for that camera, then hit the alt (or option) on mac key and the Reset button will change into "Set Default...". Click it and the camera profile will now be the default for new images or for images that you hit reset on.

I've had this HP laptop about a year. Three weeks ago the Microsoft backup began failing. Error message related to shadow files. The backup seemed to run fine until it hit firefox\profile\i75smlo9.default at 15% into the backup, dragged horribly to about 25% and then gave up.

How to give a profile a default mimetypes.rdf file?
Hello,
I'm deploying Mozilla Firefox 31ESR on thousands of computers. I'm looking for a way to pre-configure how firefox handle the mimetypes. For instance, to open pdf with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
To achieve this, I put a mimetypes.rdf file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\browser\defaults\profile".
When the profile is created, this file is copied, then modified.
The lines:
<RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:handler:application/pdf"
NC:useSystemDefault="true"
NC:alwaysAsk="false" />
Becomes:
<RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:handler:application/pdf"
NC:handleInternal="true"
NC:alwaysAsk="false" />
-If I replace manually the file "mimeTypes.rdf" in the newly created profile, it works perfectly.
It seems to be the same problem as: https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/1015378
Why is the mimetypes.rdf file modified? How can I set a mimetype policy?
Thanks a lot!It works for me with both the user.js file and your mimeTypes.rdf file.
