Progress tracking Procedure In PS

Hi
It's a investment Project Scenario. Can anybody please tell me the required configuration for progress tracking?
Say For example, By means of an activity I've created one PR. And i want to see the status of that activity in terms of the progress of the purchasing ........i.e whether the activity is still in the PR stage or It has been moved to RFQ stage or it is in PO stage or GR has been done for that activity or goods has been issued to the activty.........so on till the actual cost has been booked to the particular activity.
Can anyone please let me know that how such kind of progress tracking can be done so that I can see the progress in project planning board or in some project report.
Waiting for your prompt reply
With Best Regards
Som

Hai,
Progress tracking is helpful for monitoring critical componets in our project.
I think for your scenario...you can better use T-code NWTM ( Dates monitoring ).
Key in your project.
Key in any group name of your choice.
Select events icon. An Events list appear on right select the relevent events and bring them on left side. Here you can mention tolerance , Position and offset times between events.
Pre-requisite is you should have define these events in customizing.
In customizing you shud define at Project Systems -
Material -
Monitoring dates ... there you define Events , Reference dates for events. Here for reference dates SAP has given only minimum options. If your requirement is not met..you can use user exit available.
After selecting events in NWTM T-code. Select components you want to track.
Then select dates. In this screen you can set traffic lights , schedule dates.
When one want to track. They come to this screen. Run scheduling and get the results. Whereever it is red light..there is delay.
Advise you one cycle. track P.R , P.O. dates.
Thanks
Saikishore Ganga.

  • How to use Progress Tracking for PO

    Dear SAP gurus,
    I have requirement to track the progress of goods in the PO. I recently bump into tcode EXPD and want to use this functionality.
    My detailed requirement is like this:
    a. We have status of:
        - Leaving Factory
        - Arrive Port
        - Received in Warehouse
    b. When the status is assigned, I only need to put the planned date for last status (Rec in Warehouse), and then system should be able to calculate the planned date for the preceeding 2 events.
    From the explanation in library it seems that all functionalities can be covered by EXPD. I have configured the status as events. Define status rec in warehouse as starting point for automatic schedule, and then define the schedule for all the events as backward. However when I specify the planned date for the event Rec in Warehouse, and click schedule, and i click refresh, but still nothing happen.
    I have never seen this in work before, but I assume that the system should be able to put the planned date for each event based on the date that i put as starting point.
    What do i miss in here? Or the functionality is not meant to be like that?
    Best regards,
    John

    Hi John,
    For configuring Progress Tracking you need to first make some config settings. You need to create Events; Scenarios; their inter-relationships; Profile, etc. in IMG settings under MM>Purchasing>Purchase Order-->Progress Tracking.
    Only after this, will the event get assigned to your PO for tracking purposes. Later you can use EXPD to see the progress tracking for your selected POs.
    Let me know if my inputs were of any use or you need any more inputs.

  • Progress Tracker

    Hi Experts,
    I have a form with lot of fields spanning across multiple pages - in order to make the form user friendly and enable the user to keep track of their form filling activity, I want to add a progress tracker which will track the percentage of form completion, for e.g. if there are 10 fields in the form and user has filled up only 4 fields then the progress bar should indicate 4/10 * 100 = 40% completion with proper coloring in the progress bar and this should be placed in the footer. at the master page level in each page.
    What is the best way to achieve this?
    Regards.
    Rohit

    Use the built-in status indicator object, app.thermometer.
    Simply set the thermometer's duration to the number of fields in the form (=100%), and increase the thermometer's value by 1 every time a field is successfully filled-out.
    You could also accompany the thermometer's (t) status indicator with a text, such as:
    t.text = "Fields done: " + t.value + " - fields to go: " + (t.duration-t.value);

  • Creating a progress tracker like Domino's Pizza website?

    Hi,
    I'm interested in creating a progress tracker using dreamweaver or another adobe product. I want to create a website that can display the progress of a product being made in real-time. Additionally, it would be helpful to create "lights" on the website indicating whether the machine making the product is functional (green) or broken (red).
    Thanks

    Contact your machine's producer to find out if it can send "real time" messages to a web server.

  • Progress Tracking System

    Hi, I built an elearning / product training module for a client in Flash (AS3, FP 10).
    The client in the past had used software called "Knowledge Presenter" do deliver the modules via web and track whether someone had opened each swf in the project, and how long they stayed in it. They also had a quiz component, which I've rebuilt in as3, I'd like to record the results of the quiz, by passing a variable to the system and attach it somehow to that users account.
    So basically I need: to be able to create users, track users progress which basically means telling if they loaded a section of the flash and how long they had it open for, store a score for each user.
    Is there an Adobe solution that does this?

    You are describing what a Learning Management System does.
    Adobe has a pseudo-LMS called Connect which may do what you need.
    Knowledge Presenter, which I think is Articulate's product, is very similar to Adobe Presenter, which is somewhat a companion lesson-development tool for Connect.
    So you may be close to what you need...
    If not, you should look at using the SCORM-tracking features of Knowledge Presenter and look for a SCORM-compliant LMS to house and track these lessons, as that's likely a more efficient approach then trying to redo all that by hand.
    If you'd rather go custom, then I suppose you could create a tracking system using Adobe ColdFusion, or another web-development tool, and customize your lessons to send the needed data to that webservice...

  • Tracking Progress

    I have a servlet that is processing about 60,000 records. The query and the processing takes about 10 minutes. Is there a way to somehow have some sort of progress tracker appear in the browser? I've tried using out.write's in the servlet but those don't appear until the servlet finishes.
    Thanks,
    Karl

    You can use DHTML to do this (using DIV tags). Here is the skeleton code...
    <HTML> <HEAD>
    <SCRIPT>
         function init () {
         if (document.layers) {
         document.waitpage.visibility = 'hide';
         document.mainpage.visibility = 'show';
         } else {
         if (document.all) {
         document.all.waitpage.style.visibility = 'hidden';
         document.all.mainpage.style.visibility = 'visible';
    </SCRIPT>
    </HEAD>
    <body onLoad="init();">
    <DIV ID="waitpage">
    <center>
         <h2><font color="red"><i>Loading...Please wait.</i></font></h2>
    </center>
    </DIV>
    <DIV ID="mainpage">
    <script language="JavaScript">
    location.href=('/jsp/finalPage.jsp');
    </script>
    </DIV>
    </body>
    </html>

  • Tracking student progress - No LMS

    I am looking for a way to set up a main menu, each of which
    will point to a
    separate captivate swf file ... and when the student finishes
    that module
    and returns to the main menu, something on the main menu will
    change
    indicating that they finished that module.
    So, for example, my main menu will point to modules 1, 2, 3
    and 4. Once I
    complete module 1, and return to the main menu, I will see a
    check mark or
    something next to module 1. If I leave and come back
    tomorrow, I will still
    see that I completed module 1.
    And, if I can do that ... is there a way that I can require
    the students to
    complete the modules in order. So they can't even open module
    2 until module
    1 has been completed?
    I'm used to working in Flash, where I could use the shared
    objects, which
    were stored on the student's computer, to track progress like
    this. But this
    was done using the Actionscript. And I don't know that
    Captivate has
    anything that compares to Actionscript.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Marge

    Thanks. I was afraid that was going to be the answer.
    I'm actually capable of doing this in Flash. I've got a Flash
    shell of my
    own that I developed for creating Flash based CBTs. But I
    have a client who
    wants a project done in Captivate, without an LMS. They have
    heard that
    Captivate is a "rapid" elearning tool, while Flash
    development takes more
    time.
    Figuring out how to make Captivate do all the things that I
    can already do
    in Flash is taking the "rapid" out of this for me ... but I
    figure that it's
    a tool I should learn to use.
    Thanks again.

  • PS & ISUtilities (Tracking Project Progress)

    In a single project (4 apartments) there are 100 premises (eg flats) 25 flats per Apartment. Each flat is considered as potential customer for Gas.
    Project people complete the work in 3 stages.
    Mile stone 1 =  Rs 500 collected per Business partner & Phase 1 is completed
    Milestone 2 =   Rs 2000 is collected per Business Partner & Phase 2 is completed
    Milestone 3 =   Rs 2500 is collected per Business Partner & Phase 3 is
                           completed by projects department.
    Here the completion of work by Project department in SAP PS is interrelated to ISU a) Premise (eg flat)    b)Business Partner (Customer taking connection ) .
    The project manager shall be able to find in every project comprising of 100 flats ,
    The amount of work completed each flat( Customer wise) .
    Eg   Customer1          Milestone I & Milestone 2 completed
           Customer 2         Milestone 1 completed , Amount received for  Milestone 2
                                    but work has not been started by projects department .
          Customer 3          Milestone 1,2 and Milestone 3 completed
    Hope you would help me in mapping this process.
