Prohibiting attachment types according to txn. SOPE

Dear FPM Experts,
Configured to prevent potentially dangerous attachment types such as .bat, .exe, .com etc. However, I noted
it is not within FPM framework (of WDA) to enforce this. In short, for FPM applications allowing attachments,
one can still attach those forbidden attachment types though it was configured to disallow. This may open up
a security vulnerability. Any ideas of how to overcome this ?
Thank you.

    We have an Attachment Type in F&P . Is there a way to control the list of Attachment types? Where is this setting done? Also can this be controlled based on forms?
    For example Separation I need 3 attachment and Personal Data another set of attachments types?

    Please post complete solution i.e. the table name where you managed it and never close thread with partial statements.

  • Attachment type policy violation Action:deny

    Hi Folks, need some help starting to get a little frustrated. So any input is appreciated. My organization is starting to deal with the goverment and will be sending lg. files via email. We use Exchange\Outlook 2010. I have tested from hotmail and get same
    results. Here's what I see:
    Delivery Notification - file    The mesg or attach. did not reach... Reason: attachment type policy violation (/Analysis.exe)  NOTE: this changes depending on file
    Action:deny
    I have gone and increased all my mesg size limits to an incredible lg limit in the Send and Receive Connectors, Transport settings, just about any spot that has to do with a size limitation. Also added the site as a trusted site  under Send conn. Still
    no luck. The goverment contact states its our site, works fine with others ones. Any ideas???  Thanks in advance

    1-The error message above still says 'attachment type policy'.  Can you tell what host rejected it from the message headers?
    2-If you truly think there is a size issue, create a file of a specific size using 'fsutil' and try to send it:
    10MB file: fsutil.exe file  createnew C:\temp\testfile2.txt 10000000
    Something else to remember is that conversion from Exchange format to an Internet standard inflates the message up to 30% (i forget what the technical aspects are, it was a while ago.)  The Internet standard appears to be 25MB these days (Google, Yahoo,
    etc.) so setting your Internet-bound Send Connector 25MB may not work.  My testing resulted in using 17MB on the Internet-bound Send Connector.  This is for total message size, not individual attachments.  If a message has three attachments
    of 6MB each it will work fine internally, but is rejected if it is sent to the Internet.

  • E-Recruiting - Attachment Types and Object Relationships

    Can someone help me to understand why SAP recommends attachment types to be linked to the Application object and not to the Candidacy object?  I've always created attachment types specific to certain candidacy activities to that object as appropriate.  Is there a technical implication that I am not aware of?  If so, please advise.  Thank you for your help.

    Hi Roman and experts
    We have an issue where we have created 2 attachments:
    Attachment type 10 PDR
    Attachment type 17 Mamual Application Form
    both of subtype text "Resume" which we have attached to object type NA Candidate.
    What is happening is that once a candidate has attached these to his/her application then they automatically are attached to any past and future applications as well. I assume if we had assigned them to object type ND Application instead then they would be unique to  the application ie: not attach to all applications?
    Also can an attachment type only be assigned to object type NA or object type ND eg: could 10 PDR be assigned to both candidate and application?
    Many thanks

  • How to get po item condition type according schema group

    hi experts,
    i want to get po item condition type according schema group.
    for example, in xk03, if the "schema group, vendor"in purchasing data view is set to 'Z3', in the purchase order which is made for this vendor, the po item's gross price condition type is hwxx.
    if the "schema group, vendor" is set to 'Z2', the po item's gross price condition type is pbxx.
    my question is : how to get po item condition type according schema group?
    hunger for ur advice and thanks a lot!

    several steps you need to go
    1. you need to get the purcahsing group schema against your purchasing group from table T024E.
    2. get the vendor group schema from vendor master data table LFxxxxxx
    3. get the pricing schema from table TMKS via the selection criteria purchasing group schema and vendor group schema
    4. go to the table T683S via inputing Usage, application and pricing determination procedure.
    5. now you got it.

  • TRY CAST and setting the type according to destination column

    Hi,
    I am loading data from different sources. I have to do data quality checks for data I am loading into destination. For Decimal Values I have destination data types Decimal(28,2) and Decimal(28,6)
    I would like to check the source data and covert the type according to destination column. How can I use the try cast in this scenario?
    SELECT TRY_CAST(REPLACE('100,500.000',',','') AS DECIMAL(28,2))
    this statement will convert every thing to two decimal places. but if destination column is decimal(28,6) i would like to convert it to 100500.657899
    What is the best way of doing it?
    MH

    Hi MH,
    According to your description, you need to CAST and setting the type according to destination column which data types is Decimal(28,2) and Decimal(28,6), right?
    "this statement will convert every thing to two decimal places. but if destination column is decimal(28,6) i would like to convert it to 100500.657899" If in this case, then there are different data types on the same column which is not
    supported in current version. So as per my understanding, there is no such a functionality to achieve your requirement. What we can do is convert to corresponding datatype (Decimal(28,2) or Decimal(28,6)), and then convert it to nvarchar datatype.
    CREATE TABLE #TEMP(A NVARCHAR(50))
    INSERT INTO #TEMP VALUES('1538.21'),('1635.326541'),('136.235')
    SELECT
    A,
    CASE
    WHEN (LEN(RIGHT(A,LEN(A)-PATINDEX('%.%',A))))>2
    THEN
    CAST(A AS DECIMAL(28,6))
    WHEN (LEN(RIGHT(A,LEN(A)-PATINDEX('%.%',A))))<=2
    THEN
    CAST(A AS DECIMAL(28,2))
    END AS B,
    CASE
    WHEN (LEN(RIGHT(A,LEN(A)-PATINDEX('%.%',A))))>2
    THEN
    CAST(CAST(A AS DECIMAL(28,6)) AS VARCHAR(99))
    WHEN (LEN(RIGHT(A,LEN(A)-PATINDEX('%.%',A))))<=2
    THEN
    CAST(CAST(A AS DECIMAL(28,2)) AS VARCHAR(99) )
    END AS B2

  • Additional attachment types that should be allowed

    I just noticed that some of my attachmnts from an email message didn't arrive but were silently dropped. I don't think silently dropping them is a very good policy, because people will attach harmless documents like install.log to a message and refer to that attachment. That is bound to add a lot of confusion.
    Apart from changing the silent dropping olicy, can you allow the following file types:
    .log
    .wsdl
    .ico
    .as
    .mxml
    .cfm
    .cfc

    The idea behind my post was that if compressed file archives become allowed, then we can in essence post any type of file by compressing it. So when we are trying to help some one in say the InDesign forum (or some other forum), we can say "please attach your file in a compressed  format so that we can take a look at what may be wrong."
    Don't you agree that would be a very useful improvement to these new forums? Some file size limit does seem reasonable.

  • Handling Multiple Attachment Types in B2B Rosettanet

    Hi,
    We are encountering some issues while sending Excel (i.e. xls) attachments along with B2B rosettanet transactions. Other document types - PDF, text are going find without any issues.
    We have added "application/pdf : application/vnd.ms-excel" as additional mime type, but the attachment is still not getting posted to TP.
    This is what I see in the wire message -
    </pidx:InvoiceTotal> </pidx:InvoiceSummary></pidx:Invoice>------=_Part_69_226988743.1322688178936Content-Type: application/pdf; name="Niranjan%20Query_HOU-ECMCSTST01003632.xls"Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64Content-ID: <Niranjan%20Query_HOU-ECMCSTST01003632.xls>Content-Description: Niranjan%20Query_HOU-ECMCSTST01003632.xls0M8R4KGxGuEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPgADAP7/CQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAQAAAAAAAAAAEAAAAgAAAAEAAAD+////AAAAAAAAAAD////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////9/////v
    One guess that I have is "Content-Type: application/pdf;" is causing this issue, but not sure how to set this value based on document type. Any suggestion on what we need to change to get this working?

    Hi Adarsh,
    Can you check what is this '%' symbol in your file name 'Niranjan%20Query'? May be it should be some empty space

  • Attachment values according variable names

    Hello,
    In iteration I want to get values from variables according their names, i.e.:
    DECLARE
    val1 VARCHAR2(10) :='value1';
    val2 VARCHAR2(10) :='value2';
    val3 VARCHAR2(10) :='value3';
    val VARCHAR2(10);
    BEGIN
    FOR i IN 1..3 LOOP
    val:=val||i;
    dbms_output.put_line(val);
    END LOOP;
    END;
    In each iteration I want to get one value at time: value1 then value2 and so on. I think, it can be done with NDS, but I really don't know the right solution.
    Can you help me please?

    Hi,
    If you want to be able to loop through those variables as if they were a collection, then actually make them a collection. For example:
    DECLARE
        TYPE  my_string     IS TABLE OF VARCHAR2 (10);
        vals  my_string := my_string ( 'value1'
                                      , 'value2'
                             , 'value3'
    BEGIN
        FOR i IN 1 .. 3
        LOOP
         dbms_output.put_line (vals (i));
        END LOOP;
    END;
    /What's the advantage of having separate variables with names like val1? Is it that much harder to use vals (1)?

  • Attachment Type is .docx

    I received an attachment this morning with the extension .docx After downloading, it opened easily in my Pages word processor. I've never seen or noticed this extension before. I knew the sender uses a Windows machine, so I asked her what she wrote the document in. Here is her reply:
    Word. I have Windows 7 (and Word 2007) and then I tried sending it from a computer with XP and Word 2003. Some people had trouble opening it. Any suggestions for the future?"
    I'm not sure what to tell her other than have everyone switch to Macs. What do you think? Thanks. - Fabe

    Convert .docx to form compatible with Office 2004: [Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 1.0.1|http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx?pid=Mactopia_AddTools&fid=2A8 D9A3B-B8A4-43B6-82A6-A2E7D16AE11D#viewer]
    Docx is an Office file format used by newer versions. Save in an older format for fuller compatibility, or people using old systems will have to use the converter.

  • Define exchange rate types according to ledgers

    Hi Everyone,
    I am facing a problem about the exchange rate types.
    I want to set different exchange rate types for my leading ledger and local ledger.
    for example, the leading ledger 0L is defined for IFRS with default exchange rate type M.
    the local ledger LL is defined for our country China and i want to use own-defined exchange rate type say Y001.
    is it possible realize like this in SAP.
    thank you so much!
    regards,
    samson

    Hi, Samson:
    I am not sure whether it make sense to have different exchange rate for same two currencies in different countries, for example, in China and US, exchange rates for RMB and USD are different in same situation, like buy-in...
    Your question about exchange rate definition in Non-Leading Ledger - it is impossible to do that in Define and Activate Non-Leading Ledgers.
    For the purpose of Ledger approach for parallel accounting, it is used to meet the reporting requirements basically, for example, IFRS or USGAAP or HGB, but not for exchange rate type...
    If you get any surpurise information, please share with me. Thanks.
    Best Regards, Lawrence

  • Reg:  material type according to the unrestricted stock equals to zero.

    Hi gurus,
    how to use alv for this .
    regards,
    vivek

    Hi,
    Are you talking about the KMAT purchases should be always sales order specific, if yes then In MRP4 view of material master, enter Individual/Collective as "1" (Individual Stock)
    And now, if you want the Stock Valuation of Sales Order then check following points;
    1. Go to VA03 - Here under "Procurement" Tab, get the RqTy (Requirement Type, for e.g. KE)
    2. Go to OVZH - Here get the Requirement Class assigned to this Requirement Type (for e.g. 040)
    3. Go to OVZG - Here go to details of Requirement Class (for e.g. 040) and check following under "Account Assignment" Tab,
    Acct.assig.cat. - M
    Valuation - Blank
    Here Valuation should be "M" i.e. Separate valuation with ref. to sales document/project
    If it is blank, then you can not enter "M" here in this screen.
    4. Go to SPRO > Sales and Distribution > Basic Functions > Account Assignment/Costing > Maintain Requirements Classes For Costing/Account Assignment > Here for Requirement Class (for e.g. 040), maintain Valuation as "M" i.e. Separate valuation with ref. to sales document/project
    Now run a complete new cycle and check.

  • This Attachment Type Cannot be viewed on your device

    I suddenly get this message when I try to open image attachments from my email. JPG, GIF, any image attachments. I have have no problem doing this up until today. I'm at a loss as to why this suddenly happened. I've pulled the battery several times. Made sure that the attachment service is listed in my core apps, it is. Can anyone else be of assistance?

    OK...be sure to do them in order though...they are steps, each depending on the success of the prior step...steps 1 and 2 MUST result in some message coming to your BB...if they do not, then proceeding is irrelevant as that step did not succeed.

    I get a list of dozens of different CDMA lines with numbers. Only one is bolded. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do here. There is nothing about registering on any of the menus on this screen.
    Yes, there are dozens of lines there...and it does not matter which you have highlighted in the list. Just press the key and select "Register Now". Are you saying that "Register Now" is not an option in the menu that pops up from the key? That would be very odd indeed...
