Project Online Workflow not moving forward after approval

I'm building a custom workflow for a Project Online tenant using SD2013 but something is not working with approvals.
In SD I create the workflow with very simple actions:
1. Wait for submit
2. Create approval task
3. In stage transition, if task ended with "Approved", move to the next stage, if not, go to "Cancelled" step
Everything works fine until the approval. I see the task, approve it but then nothing happens. The task appears as "Completed" and "Approved" but the workflow just stays there.
I had this very same behavior on a couple of deployments in the past with Project Server 2010 in Spanish.
The tenant created the Project Web App in Spanish as well. Could this be the cause? How can I correct it?

I am also having the same issue.
The task appears in the list, I approve it, then nothing happens. No error, no feedback, no history list log (I put in a log statement right after the approval task, it never runs), the workflow status page still remains as "Started".
Any ideas?
If online is as slow as processing approval actions overnight, then it is simply unusable.

Hi I did not republish the workflow and the behavior was same for old workflow instances as mentioned in my question.
Then I republished the workflow thinking that it might solve the problem but the result remain the same. I have check the Logs but unfortunately I did not find any noticeable error.

Hi Gustavo,
It appears your Service SFTP user was not created correctly. Please contact support and mention the fact that your Service SFTP user appears on Security/Users tab and not on Security/SFTP Users tab.

Playhead not moving forward

The clip shows up in the canvas but the playhead is not moving forward in the timeline making it impossible to edit.

Workflow is not moving next level approver

Dear all,
We are in the upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0. When I am executing the workflow it is going successfully to the first approver, depends up on the decision of the approver it should process any one of the four braches. But here my problem it is not perocessing the approve branch after approval of request.
It is working fine in 4.6c.

Updating sandbox solutions in project online does not work?

We have created a sandbox solution (version 1 - test.wsp-) with Visual Studio 2012. This sandbox solution only writes the URL in a log: "V1_http://contoso.com". Everything works fine when we launch a workflow. I mean, we create a project through
"new project" button. This project has a Enterprise Project Type associated to the previous workflow.
Now we update the sandbox solution (version 2 -test.wsp-) with Visual Studio 2012 adding a new functionality (deactivate old solution/upload new sandbox solution/actívate the new sandbox solution). We have modified the sandbox solution in order to write "V2_http://contoso.com".
Our test is as follows: We use the same Enterprise Project Type and we create a new project with the same workflow. When the project is created, the log still writes the URL defined in the sandbox solution (version 1 -test.wsp- "V1_http://contoso.com")
instead of the one we have defined in the sandbox solution (version 2 -test.wsp- "V2_http://contoso.com).
It seems that when we update a sandbox solution, changes are not taking place in Project Online.
Changes take place only when we create a new sandbox solution, with a different name.
Does anybody have the same issue?

Why are my slides hanging up, and not moving forward?

My latest project in Captivate 4 doesn’t need graded quizzes, so when my quiz slides hung up after publishing, I deleted them and used a regular slide with roll overs to give feedback on “review” question. But the slides taking the place of deleted quiz slides are now hanging up too! It just doesn’t make sense and must be fixed before the project can continue.
The buttons have the usual programming, like, rest of slide and “continue.” Anything else I can do? I’ve also had issues with the “click anywhere to continue” to move a quiz slide along. It will only move (that is, if it isn’t hanging up) inside the feedback box.
And I have removed and re-loaded and added the patch to Captivate three times already. I always do it when the program takes a long time to close, and then, a long time to load and that usually works. And it does this on two different computers of mine. As far as I know, it's not a memory issue because it is only on these slides. But this hanging up is so weird, because if I click the Back button, sometimes it moves forward, and if that doesn't work, then clicking Back and Next moves it forward.
So the main question is, why won't the Next button move the project to the next slide?
Secondary question: why can't I "click anywhere to continue" because only clicking inside the feedback box works? (And because that was happening, I deleted the file and now the replacement blank or copied slide hangs up too.)

I am having this same problem. When I publish my slides to a web server the quiz exhibits the behavior where you have to actually click inside the Feedback caption to move to next action. It is supposed to work by clicking anywhere on the slide.
Wondering if you ever found out what was causing this??
Looks like I cannot move forward on this project except by not using Captivate. Or somehow code up my own quiz questions. ugh.

SharePoint Online workflow not starting

I am an administrator for a company and I have been asked to create a workflow for them.
I created 2 workflows using SharePoint designer 2013. The 2010 workflow works as expected.
I created the 2013 workflow because I can use loops. However the 2013 workflow doesn't automatically start when an item is created. but works if I start it manually. I have checked and made sure that the check box is ticked for the workflow to start automatically.
The workflows go like this.
Step: Query Type
If Current Item:Query_Type equals Phone
  Set Status to Opportunity
Else
If Current Item:Query_Type equals Email
  Email Current Item:Sales_Rep2
  Pause for 0 days, 0 hours, 15 minutes
  If Current Item:Follow_Up equals No

From your description, After you modified the workflow and added "App Step" to it and "Pause" actions apart from few other modifications, you got the issue that
SharePoint 2013 Workflow not starting when a new item is crated.
Whether you got the issue Before you modified the workflow.
I have done a test in my SharePoint 2013 and it works fine.
I suggest you update SharePoint to the latest CU.

Check the task TS12300097 check the default rule for the task using tcode PFTC
under default rules tab for Agent assign 157 rule - Immediate Manager
This rule picks the immediate manger (from the reporting structure) as approver

ADVICE needed - FCPX projects -- FCP7 workflow (not X27)

Hey all,
I need some sage advice.
I have been working on a huge project for over a year now on location in Bosnia.
All footage has been shot on the 5D mrk3 and c300 cameras.
My FCPX Workflow
While on location I was importing / organizing / syncing / labeling and adding subtitles into FCPX.
- I have each camera in it's own event and project.
- I have the video synced (using Plural Eyes) with the Zoom audio files.
- I have added subtitles from my translator using Annotation edit.
- I have then used the TimeCode generator to give the entire sync'ed, subbed "master timeline" a consistent reference throughout and so I always know exactly where that clip lives in the "master timeline" once I start editing.
- Lastly I have added the "file name" using the Text "right" generator in FCPX so I always know what day it is.
I would then create a separate compound clip for all the video from that day, the external audio, and the subtitles. (so that is 3 Compound clips. (see pics below)
Add the TimeCode and right text generators...
Select all and make it all a C. Clip... I did this so nothing would shift.. the Subs would be in sync and the timecode would always be the same no matter how and where the footage was used....
My Question / Challenge
OK so now my producers have found an editor and this editor needs to edit this project in FCP 7.
I am in Chicago they are in Berlin... I will join them in Berlin but want to do as much prep work in the 1.5 months leading up to my travel date here in Chicago.
They have all the footage and FCPX projects and events and now need to get them into FCP 7
the app X to 7 does not import FCPX generators and has some quirks importing text (I am not sure how it will handle my subs as we are just beginning the import / converting process)
What I don't want is to loose all the good work that I have done on my end to be organized and I absolutely NEED the subtitles included with the sync'd footage.
Does anyone have any advice and / or know where I can turn to figure out what to do in this situation?

Yeah I thought of that too...
Just using the flatened verssion as a reference file that can be enabled and disapbled as necessary hoever like you pointed out that is "not ideal" AND would actually be pretty time consuming as I am dealing with
45 Days of footage totalling 200+ hours...
So it actually takes about an hour to render and export each 3-4 hour days of flattened footage.
But that may be the best soltuion of the not so great options I have in front of me...

Thanks, and yes I will be doing all of that sans the assistant editor.
One of the largest issues is that I am not a FCPX expert so I can't do that...
AND the budget is a bit tight to hire a second editor for this job PLUS it is in Berlin (I am in Chicago)
So while I will be there for the editing process the lead / post time is going to be pretty tight and I need to make sure that all the footage is online, sync'd, subbed and ready to go once I step off the plane.
I agree that in an ideal situation your suggestion would be best if the budget allowed for it...

Imovie 8 project library thumbnails not showing up after import

I have imovie 8 on my mac at home and I edited some footage and then wanted to bring it into work. I copied all the necessary event libraries and project libraries and I'm having a problem viewing them in my imovie 8 at work.
I stored the Event library files on my external hard drive, since I don't have enough room on my internal drive, and copied over the project libraries into my imovie folder. After copying everything over I can see my event library raw data in imovies viewing pane. The project library file names are visible, but when I click on them to view I get a greyed out thumbnail with an exclamation point. It says "This media's files are currently not available"
Can anyone shed some light on this. I want to be able to edit the projects I created at home.

This should be expected. Projects use absolute resource references, therefore, unless you "clone" the exact drive/path names between original project files and original resource files from the home computer and replicate it at work, you have "orphaned" your resource files.

Workflow not updated in offline approval

Hi All-
I have an issue in offline approval in SRM 7.0 . Program- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND has been scheduled to send email for offline approval and approver receives the mail. When the approver clicks on Approve By Email button, a new email opens with some Guid informations and approver clicks on send button to send the mail.
I am seeing the inbound mail recived by SAP in SOIN -tcode or via In Utilities-Inbox Overview in SCOT. The problem is, the workitem is still in ready status and not changed to complete status.
I havent scheduled the inbound program- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALGET as per SAP library and other SDN posts. I have maintained the following in SCOT (Under Settings-> Inbound processing)
Internet mail xxxx@ xxx.com ( Mail id) ICS /SAPSRM/CL_OFFLINEAPP_INBOUND 3.
My doubt is, do we need to schedule the inbound program or any other program, so SAP will decode the data and update the workflow? or is it enough to maintain the above SCOT settings?
Please clarify above things and help me on how to update the workflow

Thank you Ricardo and Saravanan. I am working on this and waiting for roles to assign. In the mean time, i have scheduled the prog- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALGET and if i approve from outlook, it is updating the status to WF.
Is there any issue, if i use this inbound program in SRM 7.0?
Also, when i approve from outlook, the mail contents (GUID and other technical informations) is in editable mode. As per my client, it should be in disable mode, so the approver will not change the mail contents. I am not able to find the solution for this. Please provide your inputs.
PS: I am using Application Controlled WF

Workflow not moving

Hi,
I am new to workflow and have set up a very simple one based on:

It is a simple workflow which reads a row in a table and sends out a mail.
My issue is that when I run a workflow through sqlplus it does not process it seems to get stuck in the cache.

The row does not appear in WF_ITEMS. If I try to rerun it again I get:

So it is somewhere in the cache but I cannot find any reference to it in the database.
If I change the item_key for the process and run it enough times I get all the mails through at once and everything appears in WF_ITEMS etc.
I have tried running a workflow background engine but it does not make any difference.
How can I control the workflow so what is in the cache is processed??
Any help would be appreciated.

It was solved after performing following steps.
Steps :
1. Virtual Directory
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\web application name or port
Find
<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="51200" requestValidationMode="2.0" />
replace with below
<httpRuntime executionTimeout="999999" maxRequestLength="2048000" requestValidationMode="2.0" />
2. IIS limit setting
Connection Time -out (Seconds) : from 120 to 1200
However first step was to increase the maximum request length.
But after applying these changes issue was resolved.
