Project Reporting base Tables

Hello,
Does anyone knows which are the base tables for the tab Project Reporting from HTML page.
Basically i wanted to know the table from where its pulling the following data:
Burdened Cost ( ITD and PTD).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Base table for most info in the Reporting tab is pji_fp_xbs_accum_f, however you'll need to join out to PJI time view for this to make much sense.
Take a look at the following seeded views as a good starting point for creating any custom reporting views:
PJI_XTD_PLN_BY_TASK_V
PJI_XTD_ACT_CMT_BY_TASK_V
Also, "About Oracle Project Management Family Pack M Rollup Patch" (Doc ID 331007.1) has listing of all the seeded PJI reporting views.

I recommend you look at the Applications Documentation (http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html) web site. Just pick your Applications (EBS) version and scroll til you find the Projects Resource Management link. Another option would be to visit the Oracle ETRM web site (http://etrm.oracle.com/pls/etrm/etrm_search.search).

Use of project view to group project records in multi-project report

I have a summary level multi-project report to report summary level information for active projects. We are using project view to organize our projects between departments and divisions (hierarchical structure) - represented by folders in project view. Projects are occasionally moved between project folders. If anyone has experience with report development using folder structure? My intent is to create grouping band based on folder structure and list projects under appropriate folder/band.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I am using CM14.1 with OBIP 10.1.1.7

If you are creating a standard multi-project report (no retrieval criteria; project_state=0) and you run this report from within PCM, PCM automatically appends to your syntax the filtering criteria for the "folder" the user has highlighted in the project tree. In this case you would have one report that would retrieve multiple sets of data actively depending upon the project tree position. I have seen sometimes this causing issues with certain base syntax, but in general this should work.
Sounds, though, like you're building your report to call to the raw project_view tables, and Rick pointed out you need to use both of these tables then most likely.

VA03 - Base tables & Logic for structures

VEPVG - Open Sals Order QTY.
VBUK - Open Sales Order
Use the transaction SE16 / SE11 and try to serach the field and find out base tables and logic.
RV45A-DWERK --- Plant u will find this in VBAP
RV45A-PSTYP --- Document type and so on.....

Project Report in Report Painter

Hi,
Need your help for one of my issue.
Current issue in the System / reqirment:
There is a project report in report painter-GR55 which used to provide planed / actual cost and planed / actual quantity of the project. Whenever we are trying to run the report for several years and periods there is no cumulative data displaying. E.g. if we want to execute the report for the range of 001 period/2009 fiscal year to 004 period/2010 fiscal year, system is displaying data of 2009 and 2010 for the period of 01 to 04 only and there is missing data for period from 05 till 12 in 2009
Root cause:
There is no field in table-CCSS for the fiscal year/ period (FISCPER field name). As per the OSS note-157720 this is standard behavior of report painter. SAP suggested to build new report group based on OSS note-157720.
Approach:
An an alternative we used table-RWCOOM as there is field fiscal year/period (FISCPER). The new report group is working fine except planed cost of the project as the planed cost of the service orders are added up to project planed cost. We found there is missing field name-Object indicator which will restrict planed cost of the service order flow into project for which planed cost of the service orders are added up to project cost plan. This field-object indicator is available in table-CCSS.
Looking for now to fix the issue:
Option-1
We are looking for any field similar to object indicator in table-RWCOOM which will restrict planed cost of service flow into Project
Option-2
Build new report based on OSS Note-157720.
Please advise for this issue.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. A small query i got here while building the auxilarry coloumns-2 and 3.
As per the Note (157720), in the auxilary coloumn-2 for the period we have to define period as 0 .....from period-1. Whereas my from period will be 1 and i can't provide from period-1 here
In same way for Auxilarry coloumn-3 period details as per the Note will be To period +1 ...17 whereas my to period will be 12 so i may not enter the details.
System will forbid if to period value is less than from period value.
Could you guide me on this.

Create a Cockpit (Transaction) for Reports and Tables

Hi Gurus,
i am very new in ABAP. I want to create a Transaction/view in SAP BW where i can put my favourite Abap reports and tables and execute These directly from the created view/Transaction without se16/se11 or se38 Access and dont know if this is possible and how to do it.

So you try to bypass security checks put in place by the Basis team
or could you explain your requirement ?
Remember (or learn) that creating such transaction, you are able to bypass following authorization checks using SU24 (Identity Management, User and Role Administration of Application Server ABAP, AS ABAP Authorization Concept, From the Programmed Authorization Check to a Role, Editing Authorization Default Data (Development System) / Editing Authorization Default Data (Customer System). )

How to insert data from different internal table into a data base table

hi all,
I want to insert a particular field in an internal table to a field in a data base table.Note that the fields in the internal table and database table are not of the same name since i need to insert data from different internal tables.can some one tell me how to do this?
in short i want to do something like the foll:

RE: Customized Auditing of Data base Tables

I really need your help.
We have a requirement to do auditing on customized Data Base tables. I know there is a tick in the table to keep a log and you can then use SCU3 to check it. But this uses alot of resources that we can not afford. We need to design our own customized table to update any data changes to any of our customized tables.
Now we need this table to show us the user. the date and time, the old value of the field, the new value of the field, the field name, and the table name. However there will also be a report to check who changed, edited added or deleted what entries on any of the customized tables. So my problem is that when updating my customized table that holds the data. The logical flow of data does not make sense. Please see example below;

My problem here is how will my report know that the price (for example) that was changed wat the price changed on Types as suppose to rims?
Maby my logic is too complicated. And if i save all the fields regardless if they were changed so that my report of this table (Z_AUDIT) can make logical sense. how will i know what the logical flow of field names is to be combined to make up the record that was changed.

Thanks for your quick response. Yes the resourses (in my opinion would probably be the same) but unfortunatly we have a couple of basis consultants that convinced the business other wise. I get the idee that they are carefull of the fact that if they open the system to this function and someone adds a log to a standard table that the system might not have suffiecient memory.
So business decided that they wil not take this "risk" and asked the ABAP team to design our own updates.
Another option that was presented was to add a USER DATE and TIME Field to every Customized table that needs to have logging on. But in some cases we cannot allow for duplicate keys and if i make these fields keys the logic behind that will be bypassed as the same user can then enter a "duplicate key" the next day because it is not seen as a duplicate entry in the DB because the date would then differ.
So by adding a section to the user exit behind SM30 and calling the same function module (that has to stil be written) we will be able to do this "the ABAP" way. I was just wondering if there is (hopefully) someone that had a similiar situation so that we can maby duplicate the logic.??

Well, what are you reconciling to? You are looking at something that seems to be different from your data extract, so what is that thing? My trouble shooting process is to take an asset that seems to be wrong and reconcile from the report/screen data to the extract data. You have to figure out what Oracle program is involved and what kind of SQL that the program is doing and what tables it is looking at. This could be an Oracle program error. I just ran into a problem on the Payables Posted Invoice Register report, where the total did not match my extract total. Turns out the report was wrong. If I had table records with a date/time stamp value (instead of just a date stamp value) in the accounting date field for the TO ACCOUNTING DATE value in my report request selection, those records were being dropped from the report. I reported this to Oracle support and found out that there is a patch to fix the problem (happens when cancelling an invoice) and a data script to follow to fix the historical data. So you have to keep an open mind. Yes, trying to find a reconciling issue can be very painful.
My reaction is that you are looking at the right tables. There is also a FA_DISTRIBUTION_HISTORY table that you may want to look into, that links back to the FA_DEPRN_DETAIL table. Maybe your issue lies there. At least something to look at.

Crystal Reports Temp tables - Driving Me crazy

Our ongoing saga with temp tables and crystal reports continues. I am ready to go crazy, so any help would be appreciated.
Notes:
I create the ##tempsmall table in query analyzer, so it is present when the code executes.
When I use the sa/Corinne credentials, it works.
When I use a non sa set of credentials, I get an error saying the temp table is not found.
When I add the non sa user to the tempdb as a user, with DBO permissions, It works.

The problem is tempdb is only accessible by the Administrator account and they are typically not to be used by anyone other than the system. This is how SQL server works, any query being run will create a temp table for the DB server to use and pass that data to the calling query, once completed the tempdb is deleted.
As you have seen, unless you set permissions each time for a specific user you don't have access to it. One option is to use real tables that you can populate and delete the rows of data each time. Not very efficient though.
Crystal respects all DB permissions so it's not a CR issue.
One possibility is in your front end you could use MS SQL Server API's, if there are any, or use a stored procedure to set permissions to the temp table before calling CR to set location. Sorry no samples to do this, its a DB server question.
Another option is to write the data into a Data Set and then set the location to the DS for CR to use. If you have more than 5000 row though don't do this or your reports will have performance problems.
CR does not have any API's that will allow you to access a table that it does not have permissions to get to. Basic DB security, you'll get the same log on error trying to connect ot any table that user doens't have access to.

Making mass change to Oracle Apps base table

I have requirement where I have to do a mass updates/inserts to an Oracle Apps table (BOM_Inventory_Components). I have been told by my senior programmers that Oracle does not like direct updates or inserts to the Base tables in Oracle Apps.
Anyone knows of a standard practice of updating/inserting records into Base tables in Oracle Apps?

I have seen and done lot of projects where we do direct table update but we do have Metalink support and we do inform them and involve them into regours conference call and than we are proceding direct table update.
the trick is oracle always as package where you can fine related update procedure so by passing neccesary parameters you can update the table.

Assign sales employee in customer master or in your sales order so that it is copied to billing as well,
now go to the following path IMG>Sales and Distribution>Sales Support>Lists>Set updating of Partner Index

Now Goto T.code VF05 Press Partner function button
Choose SE (Sales Employee) from F4 help
now give your Sales Employee number and execute
you will get the list of your sales employee
