Projects for par files

If i want to create a some par files and also edit some par files that came from sap, should I create a project for each PAR that I am going to edit or create.
what is the best practice used?
If we create a project for each PAR, should we check in all these projects into only one DTR workspace or again a workspace for each PAR.
how to include this creating par file projects in component model (DC's and SC's).
Could you please clarify regarding the above.

You should create seperate projects for each par.

You can check them in the same workspace.
3)how to include this creating par file projects in component model (DC's and SC's).
When you create a DC and there is an option of importing a par file onto your Development Component. If you have a parfile already you could use this option.

Hi,
I have downloaded the winzip par file com.sap.portal.support.browse for the mast head and when i try to extract the par.bak file from it i get a winzip error. I am on windows vista with winzip 8.1. Also tried unzipping with winrar but get the same error. Wondering if there is a solution to this problem ? Error is below

Do not extract the com.sap.portal.support.browse, just rename it to the corresponding name with par.bak format.
or
You can directly get the par.bak file using below steps,
System Admin -> Support -> Portal Runtime -> Browse Deployment -> press the link download -> press the button on the window "Open" -> extract the par.bak file

Hello,
I'm wondering how the deployment of a par file actually works in depth. Especially how the sharingreferences und privatesharingreferences come into play here.
Can anybody tell me how it works or can tell me some resources where I can get some more information about it?

Aperture cannot export multiple projects for original files

i want to export projects (original files) to time capsule folder for sharing
i can only go into the individual projects, select all, then export to my desire location
but i cannot select multiple projects and do it at once, as i have 100+ projects
it will be a nightmare if i go projects by projects

That is what the Export settings in my screenshot should give you, if you select the images from several projects at once and export using "File > Export > Originals".
Only you have to select the images inside the projects, not the projects in "Projects" view. Move the projects to a containing folder and select all images in the folder, or select all photos in the "Photos" view.

How should I set up a project for .mpg files?

I recently got a panasonic waterproof video camera. when all is said and done, I end up with .mpg files. I brought them into premiere pro CS4 and started up a project using the avchd 720p 30fps preset. I used this preset, because it was my best guess, but when I play a clip in the timeline it shows up as a smaller picture than the monitor frame. after that I click on the preview and resize it to fit the monitor. then I bring the sequence into another project which is avchd 1080i 60 and again I have to resize the video. surely there is a better way!
by the way, the original clip shows up as 704 x480.
all advice is more than welcome. I'm sure I'm doing this absolutely wrong.

Try creating a Sequence (prior to CS4, you had to do this at the Project level) for the 704x480 with the appropriate frame rate, and see how that goes. You can do this as a Desktop Sequence to allow you to set the frame size.
Ideally, your Project/Sequence settings should match your Assets exactly. You can then Export to whatever is required.

Setting up a Premiere pro project for MXP import

I'm using Snow Leopard 10.6.1 on a Mac Pro 8 core Nehalem 2.93GHz with 6GB RAM. After importing the Adobe sample MXF file I cannot get it to playback realtime. Shouldn't a 1162x772 MXF file be able to playback realtime on my system?
I would like any help on how to setup the Premiere Pro 4.1 project for these files.

If you right-click on the footage and select "Interpret Footage" in the context menu, you can set a FPS number to override the file's value. Start small, say 4 fps, and see how playback looks. On the system you specified, I think you may be able to get ~6 fps on footage that size.
Alternatively, if you have After Effects, it will play back as fast as it can, and display the actual fps. This will give you an idea what performance the importer can achieve on a particular system with a given file.

Ravi,
The recommended appraoch for modifying Business Packages is by using NWDI - Netweaver Development Infrastructure.( new name for JDI)
You should be able to make modification, package/build a new version and deploy. The pre-requisite is you need to set up NWDI on the server, create a Track in CMS(Change Management SErvice) and configure your DTR. Once done you can import the configuration file into your NW Developer Studio and make modifications.

I have a project in NWDS with .par file for masthead.
In the dist folder I found the jsp files but where will I get the jspdynpages in this project.
I want to add the code to connect to R/3 in this dynpage for lightheaderiview.jsp

If you describe the scenario then probably you might get more helpful answers. You can write a custom module JSP which will use JCO adapters to fetch the data you need from the backend systems.

Errors loading "old" PAR file to SneakPreviewSP16 for modification

I have a PAR file that was custom developed Java for iViews that was initiall developed in the SDN downloaded 3-month version of EP5 and NWDS. I then ported it to the early version of EP6 and NWDS.
In a moment of "madness", I downloaded the latest version of SAPNetweaver04SP16Preview and deleted the old version from my laptop.
Now I must make further modifications to the PAR file... but with this version of EP for NW04 and NWDS, I am getting a "laundry list" of errors trying to build the Project inside NWDS (see below). Does anyone have some suggestions on either:
(a) where to get the old download, or
(b) what jar files I am missing?

The -resolve did not make the problems go away.
Here is the command I used to load fop.jar again:

How to get a list of file paths for all files used in a project

I have a project in Premiere Pro CC which has a large number of bins. A sequence in one of these bins uses files from other bins. I am trying to find the locations of all each of the files used in the project.
1) Obviously I can select each clip in the timeline and show in finder, but there a lot of clips
2) The video usage associated with each file in the project would help. However
1. I haven't found a way to display only clips that have video useage if all of the bins have not been expanded.
2. Video usage shows usage for all sequences, so one would have to manually check the pull down for each file to see if it is used in the sequence in question.
3) I tried exporting the project to final cut pro xml. The path url gives me the information that I need. For some reason, however, when I do the export only one clip's information is there, not the information for all of the other clips in the project.
4) I tired an export for speedgrade and all of the file names are there. However the paths are not.
Basically I want to find all of the files in the project and relocate them to a specific folder for that project. There's got to be a way to do this but I'm not seeing it ....

Thanks for the suggestion concerning the file path. And certainly it would have been nice to have done this before beginning. However this is a project that has been around for quite a while, and the files have been moved into different bins. And now the project sequence is being revised.
So the problem is, worded slightly differently, how can I search all of the bins for the files that are used just by this sequence, ignoring the files which are used by other sequences? Or, how can I get a list of the file paths of the files that are used in the sequence?

Not able to create EAR file for WAR file extracted project

Hi Experts,
I am trying to import a WAR file, make changes to the project and create an EAR file for the same. I am not able to remove import
errors despite of adding required jar files to it.
Also, I am not able to create an EAR file for the same.
I have copied the steps here with screen shots. Below are the steps :
Import WAR file in NWDS 7.3 – Enterprise Portal perspective
Select WAR file to create WAR and EAR project for it.
Project created with import errors. e.g – com.sapportals.portal.prt*
Found jar file from Class – target jar file table.
e.g – for Class com.sapportals.portal.prt.resource.IResource needed jar file is tc~epbc~prt~api.jar
Copied required jar files in WEB-INF -> lib folder.
Configure Build path and Add External jars.

I think errors should go now, but they still exist.
Next I right click on WAR project and tried updating related EAR project.
Next, Export EAR file from EAR project.
I have tried both EAR types.
But EAR file is not created.
Please help me in removing the errors.

I feel that you're missing JAR dependencies and hence not able to resolve the above import errors.

When I click on finalize project or when I tried to share on Vimeo iMovie goes through this ten hour operation and the, somethime while I'm away from the computer, I get this error message. UNABLE TO PREPARE PROJECT FOR PUBLISHING. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (File already open with with write permission).
This has happened to me before and I can't nail down the particulars of when this happens. I will say I've never been able to Finalize A Project (not even sure what than means) but I have been able to publish short films to YouTube. This current film is a little over an hour and I picked the HD Format. Could the size have something to do with it?

Thanks!!! I had same error (with -49) and the mac had an external hard drive attached.. and it was doing a backup. Stopped, disconnected and the project exported!
